On today's episode, we are coming to you live from New York City! We're here because our play, OCTOBER 7 is opening for previews! This play has never been more relevant as the universities are revealing themselves to be intolerant, bigoted, and anti-semitic hellholes. Opening night is May 13th and the show will run until June 16th. We'd love you to buy tickets here: https://www.october7theplay.com/ . We'd also love if you shared this play with everyone you know and if you could donate to make this project as successful as it can be. Also on today's show, we discuss the new developments in the Harvey Weinstein case. Safe to say, we were right. We're going to discuss why conservatives should care about Harvey Weinstein's innocence. Essentially, this case was a failure of journalism, a failure of jurisprudence, and a failure of the rule of law. Lastly, our friend, Bev Jackson from the LGB Alliance, joins us to briefly look at the gender-identity madness again. We're gonna talk about a recent report and how we might be seeing the beginning of the end for mutilating children in the name of “gender-affirming care”. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/ap-scoop/message
The Murder Of Mary PhaganEpisode 183 tells of one of the most infamous cases of an innocent man wrongly accused. When a teenage factory girl is found dead in the basement of an Atlanta pencil manufacturer, blame falls on the mild-mannered Jewish superintendent of the plant, and the jury takes the word of a drunken janitor. Welcome back to Bad Dads Film Review, where today we're taking aim at a controversial classic that arguably defined an entire genre: Death Wish (1974). Directed by Michael Winner and starring Charles Bronson as the archetypal vigilante, Paul Kersey, this film sparked debate upon its release and continues to be a topic of conversation for cinephiles and critics alike.Death Wish plunges viewers into the grim reality of a New York City plagued by crime and fear. Charles Bronson's Paul Kersey is an architect, a conscientious objector turned avenging angel after a brutal attack leaves his wife dead and his daughter catatonic. The film explores Kersey's transformation from a peace-loving citizen into a gun-toting vigilante, taking the law into his own hands to exact revenge on the city's muggers and criminals. The narrative thrust of Death Wish follows Kersey as he prowls the streets at night, baiting criminals so he can dispatch his own brand of justice. It's a brutal, morally ambiguous journey that forces viewers to question the lines between right and wrong, justice and vengeance.Death Wish was ground-breaking for its stark portrayal of vigilante justice, a theme that has been replicated, examined, and critiqued in countless films since. Bronson's stoic performance as Kersey became iconic, embodying the frustrations and fears of a city (and a nation) feeling powerless against rising crime rates. The film's gritty realism, combined with its controversial subject matter, makes it a compelling yet uncomfortable watch.Despite its controversies, or perhaps because of them, Death Wish is a seminal film in the action genre. It's a product of its time yet remains relevant in its exploration of crime, fear, and the lengths to which individuals will go to feel safe. It offers no easy answers but instead serves as a gritty, thought-provoking piece of cinema that continues to resonate with audiences today. So, whether you view Death Wish as a thrilling action film or a problematic portrayal of justice, there's no denying its impact on cinema and culture. Join us on Bad Dads Film Review as we delve into the dark streets of New York City with Paul Kersey, exploring the legacy and controversies of this iconic film.
As South Africa grapples with acts of criminality, residents of the Limpopo province have reported a high prevalence of mob justice incidents. This as members of some communities across the province continue to show little or no faith in the country's justice system. According to police statistics, South Africa recorded 588 cases of mob justice between January and March 2023. These include murder, attempted murder, arson and assault. SABC reporter, Baatseba Mabowa has more.
Merry Christmas! We hope you enjoyed the holidays. We're taking a break ourselves, but we're not leaving you without our presence! On today's show, we are looking back on our favorite projects and moments from the past year. We spent a great deal of time covering the trans issue, so we want to highlight our play LBG Alliance vs. Mermaids. This verbatim play of court transcripts exposes the transgender lunacy that is becoming more and more pertinent in our world. Then, over the summer, we released a brand new scripted podcast about the downfall of actor Kevin Spacey. We told you the real story behind the headlines, where Leftist Hollywood added to the Me Too storm and allowed mob justice to destroy an innocent man's life. We end by revisiting a few of our favorite creators and entertainers who joined us on the podcast. You won't want to miss this recap! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/ap-scoop/message

WARNING: This episode contains description of violence and death which some people may find distressing. “There could have been a dissenting voice saying no, no, no – don't do that. Nigeria is a place where people don't seem to have value for human life”. Ten years ago, the deaths of four young men – who became known as the ‘Aluu 4' – shocked Nigeria, after they were viewed by thousands of people on a viral video. The men, in their late teens and early twenties, had been falsely accused of theft. After a mock trial they were brutally beaten and killed. The families of the men have been speaking to the BBC about their memories of that time – and their subsequent fight for justice. Despite mass calls for change at the time of the deaths, ten years on similar killings are still taking place - with more than 200 such deaths in the last three years. So can anything be done to change the culture? Presenter: Alan Kasujja (@Alan Kasujja) Reporter: Nduka Orjinmo (@ndukaorjinmo)

In the book of Acts, we have seen two ways that God has moved his people and grown the church. First, he has moved them to new fields through visions and we see that in this chapter, a vision of a man from Macedonia. This vision changes the map for Paul and Silas' missionary journey, which takes them to Philippi. In Philippi, the circumstances bring growth to the church. Paul and Silas are in jail when they are released and the jailer is saved along with his whole household. There is a church established in Philippi and they move on. This pattern makes me ponder God's movements in my life. Take some time today to consider how God is moving you to where he wants you.

[00:30] Mob Justice (23 minutes) The jury decided yesterday that Officer Derek Chauvin is guilty on all three charges. Prominent politicians, like Maxine Waters and Joe Biden, pressured the jury with provocative statements before their decision. The media, and groups like Black Lives Matter, threatened violent riots if they didn’t get the verdict they wanted. [24:00] Fanning the Flames of Hate (25 minutes) Despite getting the verdict they wanted, race baiters, Democrats and media pundits all cried in unison that this wasn’t enough! Kamala Harris said the verdict is meaningless if there isn’t dramatic “reform” to the system. Biden said these verdicts are “too rare.” The Minnesota attorney general said, “I would not call today’s verdict justice.” Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said the “verdict is not justice.” One race baiter on MSNBC called the verdict a “cultural make-up call” to distract from a broken system. What are these commentators and politicians really after? Why do they keep fanning the flames of hate? [49:00] Bible Study: The Love of God (6 minutes) How do you show love to God? 1 John 5:2 says, “For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments.” We demonstrate our love for God by faithfully obeying His commands.
Justice is dead. We now have a rigged and racist justice system that is all based on politics, race, and collective guilt, rather than due process and individual justice built on facts and evidence. I explain where this came from and where it’s headed. The Chauvin trial is merely a symptom. This is not about police. You as a civilian will be made to care if you are on the wrong side of the two-tiered justice system. To prove this point, I’m joined by Pedro Gonzalez of American Greatness to discuss his column on the Jonathan Pentland case and why it shows that perhaps conservatives should support abolishing the big city police departments after all. Daddy Owen was born in Kakamega, Western Kenya in 1982 and is arguably Kenya's biggest gospel musician. He is the second born in a family of four brothers, all musicians and a sister. His elder brother Rufftone is a gospel musician who Daddy Owen refers to as "my inspiration". He is an alumnus of Eshihiru Secondary school but was not lucky enough to join a tertiary institution due to financial constraints. He thus had to travel to Nairobi where he worked as a matatu tout. The income he earned from this job was to meagre that it could not sustain his needs and that of his family. Daddy Owen has always confessed that he used to be a pick pocket in Downtown Nairobi and thus was until he was attacked by a mob and almost lynched. Daddy Owen is the founder of Malaika Awards which seeks to honour artistes with disabilities. Crucifixion was a gruesome statement to anyone who dared to stand up against the Roman government. The Jewish leaders pushed Jesus forward as one who stood in this position. The greatest act of injustice of all time. Even modern Jewish apologists acknowledge that this, if they believed it was true, would have been completely unjust. Quick, illegal, nighttime trials aim at punishment rather than justice. Jesus must die. Now they only need to work out how. Without a clear charge they depend on the power of mob rule. Pilate, Jesus' Roman judge, couldn't extricate himself from the pressure without negative consequences to himself. Jesus, an innocent man, is ultimately condemned. Perfection bears the penalty of perversion.

Today's episode of The Annex discusses Internet mob justice in the face of unsolved crimes. We ask what happens when the Internet tries to solve an urgent crime through collaborations on social media and Internet forums. Our guest is Penn Pantumsinchai from the University of Hawaii. Penn published "Armchair detectives and the social construction of falsehoods: an actor–network approach" in Information, Communication, and Society. She also co-hosts a sociology podcast called The Social Breakdown, which we covered earlier this year. South Africa isn't a country synonymous with heavy music. In fact, it isn't known much for music of any genre. But try telling brutal death metal band Vulvodynia they don't rate on an international scale and they are likely to rip your throat out and leave you to bleed out.Their music is uncompromising and fierce beyond comprehension, and on the eve of their first visit to Australia guitarist Kris Xenopoulos almost becomes sheepish when I point out that although we have no idea of what to expect from them, the same goes in reverse."No. We really don't", he laughed. "We've never been there but we've noticed crowds all over the world have completely different... for example if we have to play in South Africa crowd killing is not a thing that exists but if we go to someplace like the U.k or France or parts of the States you're gonna see people doing spin kicks and back flips and crazy stuff like that. You don't really see that in South Africa. It's always cool to see how different scenes like to move to our music. In Germany, everyone's more peaceful about it. They do these hammer pits where they all go in a circle and... I don't know how to explain it... they put their hand straight forward or in a fist and they start bashing it up and down in the air buts it's very powerful and everyone has a great time. People bring blow up toys and swimming boats and stuff to throw in the pit in Germany so it's crazy to see how the different scenes like to do it. I'm excited to see what Australia has in store for us".In the full interview Kris runs us through their live show, new album Mob Justice, new single 'Nyaope' and it's confronting film clip on the seedy underbelly of Johannesburg, the birth of the band and more.

Tonight’s program should strike a nice balance between Current Events and The Great Beyond. In the first half we make some additional observations regarding the current attack by the Communist Hivemind, and then a reminder of what this latest wave of political outrage is designed to cover up. In the second half, we switch gears and get Cosmic and Celestial, talking about vibration, energy, and reality; and then ending with some Show & Tell. We had to fight two drop-outs and a power-outage tonight, but we got through it.
