Claiming Victory in Jesus: Walking in the Power of His Name • Friday Service   Website: www.PastorTodd.org To Give: www.ToddCoconato.com/give   As believers, we are not called to walk in defeat, fear, or discouragement. Christ has already won the victory for us, and through Him, we are more than conquerors! But many Christians live beneath their privileges, struggling with doubt, oppression, and spiritual battles because they do not fully understand how to claim victory in Jesus. Today, we will explore how we can walk in victory, what Christ has already accomplished for us, and why this is so essential in our lives. 1. Overcoming Disappointment: Trusting God's Will • Sunday Service Website: www.PastorTodd.org To give: www.toddcoconato.com/give Disappointment is something we all face in life. Whether it's failed plans, betrayals, setbacks, or things simply not going the way we expected, the weight of disappointment can feel overwhelming. However, as believers, we have a different perspective—one that is rooted in faith and trust in God's perfect will. Today, we will explore how to handle disappointment by laying it before the Lord and experiencing the true freedom that only Christ can give. 1. Psalm 55:22 (NKJV) “Cast your burden on the Lord, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved. 2. Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV) “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. 3. Romans 8:28 (NKJV) “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” 4. 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 (NKJV) “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” 5. Isaiah 55:8-9 (NKJV) “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. ‘For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.'” 6. Philippians 4:6-7 (NKJV) “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” 7. 1 Peter 5:7 (NKJV) “Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” 8. Jeremiah 29:11 (NKJV) “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” 9. Matthew 11:28-30 (NKJV) “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” 10. 2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV) “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” Disappointment is inevitable, but despair is optional. As believers, we don't have to carry the weight of unfulfilled expectations. Instead, we can cast our burdens on the Lord, trust in His higher ways, and rest in His perfect peace. The most freeing thing we can do is surrender everything to Christ, knowing that He is working all things together for our good. Today, I encourage you—whatever disappointment you are carrying, lay it down at the feet of Jesus. Let Him turn your pain into purpose, your sorrow into joy, and your confusion into peace. How We Ride The Storm and Thrive • Friday Service Website: www.PastorTodd.org To give: www.ToddCoconato.com/give As we approach a critical moment in history, with the upcoming election just weeks away, we find ourselves in the midst of a storm. The world is experiencing wars, divisions, and unrest, and it can be overwhelming. But as Riders of the Storm, we are not left without hope or direction. Jesus is in the boat with us. He is the One who calms the storms and commands the winds. This is not a time to waver in our faith but rather to ride the storm with boldness, pressing deeper into our calling and growing more on fire for God than ever before. The mission ahead is clear, and we are to step forward with greater faith as we live out our roles in these last days. 1. Matthew 8:23-26 (NKJV) “Now when He got into a boat, His disciples followed Him. And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep. Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, ‘Lord, save us! We are perishing!' But He said to them, ‘Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?' Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.” 2. Mark 4:39 (NKJV) “Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, ‘Peace, be still!' And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.” 3. Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV) “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” 4. Hebrews 12:28-29 (NKJV) “Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. For our God is a consuming fire.” 5. Ephesians 6:13 (NKJV) “Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” 6. John 16:33 (NKJV) “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” 7. Psalm 46:10 (NKJV) “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” 8. 2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV) “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” 9. Romans 8:28 (NKJV) “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” 10. Matthew 24:13-14 (NKJV) “But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” As Riders of the Storm in these end times, we recognize the turbulence around us, but we are not shaken. Jesus is in the boat with us, and He commands the storm. Our mission is clear: endure, stay focused, and preach the gospel with boldness. This storm is not here to destroy us, but to refine us, to deepen our faith, and to prepare us for the final hour. Let us rise up with more passion, more fire, and more faith than ever before, knowing that we serve a victorious King who has already overcome the world.

The Transformative Power of Serving Jesus Christ • Sunday Service To Give: www.ToddCoconato.com/give Website: www.PastorTodd.org Serving Jesus Christ is a life-changing commitment that brings profound transformation and abundant blessings. Understanding what happens when we serve Him is essential for living a purposeful and fulfilling Christian life. Today, we will explore ten powerful scriptures that reveal the blessings, challenges, and ultimate rewards of serving Jesus Christ. Matthew 16:24-25 (NKJV): "Then Jesus said to His disciples, 'If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.'* John 12:26 (NKJV): "If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor."* Galatians 2:20 (NKJV): "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me."* Romans 12:1-2 (NKJV): "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."* Philippians 2:5-7 (NKJV): "Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men." Colossians 3:23-24 (NKJV): "And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* Matthew 25:21 (NKJV): "His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.'"* 1 Corinthians 15:58 (NKJV): "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord." Ephesians 6:7-8 (NKJV): "With goodwill doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men, knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free."* Hebrews 6:10 (NKJV): "For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister." Serving Jesus Christ is a journey of transformation, sacrifice, and abundant blessing. It requires denying ourselves, embracing humility, and faithfully following Him. The scriptures remind us that our service is never in vain and is richly rewarded by the Lord. Let us commit to serving Him wholeheartedly, knowing that He honors and rewards our faithfulness. May we find joy, purpose, and fulfillment in our service to Jesus Christ, for His glory and the advancement of His kingdom. Amen.

(2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV) For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. While the world around us promotes fear and the power to control others, God provides faith, love, and the power of self-control. His Spirit offers us a kind heart and a sound mind ushering His peace to saturate our lives. Those qualities can then become blessings to those around us. What does God's Spirit need to take over in you today to stop the noise of the world and bring you a sound mind and peaceful heart? Faith and fear cannot co-exist. One will overtake the other. Right now, hand God your fears, one by one, take a deep breath, and allow your faith in Him rise up. Please pray with me: “God of peace, I hand my fears over to You. Fill my heart and mind with Your faith, Your power, and Your love. Lead my mind to be sound, stable, and steady in You. As above, so below.”

Dealing with the 500-Pound Gorilla in the Room - Conflict  Romans 12:17-18 (NIV)“Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.” The effects of unresolved conflict in our relationships.   1.     It can minimize our joy. 2.     It can hinder our communication with God.  1 Peter 3:7 (ESV)“…husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.” 3.     It can hinder your sensitivity and worship to God.  Matthew 5:23-24 (NIV)“…if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.”Dealing with relational conflict.  1.     Do something to help bring reconciliation.  Matthew 12:34 (ESV)“…For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.”Genesis 3:10 (NIV)“…I heard you in the garden; and I was afraid because I was naked, and so I hid.” 2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” 2.     Be honest about what you have done wrong. Matthew 7:3-5 (NIV)“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.” 1 Peter 5:5 (ESV)“…Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for ‘God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.'” 3.     Listen and consider what they are saying. James 1:19 (NIV)“…Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry,”Philippians 2:4 (NLT)“Don't look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.” 4.     Be intentional with the words you use.  Proverbs 12:18 (NIV)“The words of the reckless pierce like swords, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.” 5.     Pursue reconciliation, not agreement. Matthew 5:9 (NIV)“Blessed are the peacemakers…”

Doubt and _______________ go hand in hand. [Luke 1:5-9] When Herod was king of Judea, there was a Jewish priest named Zechariah. He was a member of the priestly order of Abijah, and his wife, Elizabeth, was also from the priestly line of Aaron. [6] Zechariah and Elizabeth were righteous in God's eyes, careful to obey all of the Lord's commandments and regulations. [7] They had no children because Elizabeth was unable to conceive, and they were both very old. [8] One day Zechariah was serving God in the Temple, for his order was on duty that week. [9] As was the custom of the priests, he was chosen by lot to enter the sanctuary of the Lord and burn incense. God is _________________ even He doesn't do what we want. [Luke 1:10-12] While the incense was being burned, a great crowd stood outside, praying. [11] While Zechariah was in the sanctuary, an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing to the right of the incense altar. [12] Zechariah was shaken and overwhelmed with fear when he saw him. We can respond to problems with _______________ or with _______________. [2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV] For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. God wants us to have _______________ _______________. [Luke 1:18-20] Zechariah said to the angel, "How can I be sure this will happen? I'm an old man now, and my wife is also well along in years." [19] Then the angel said, "I am Gabriel! I stand in the very presence of God. It was he who sent me to bring you this good news! [20] But now, since you didn't believe what I said, you will be silent and unable to speak until the child is born. For my words will certainly be fulfilled at the proper time." Unbelief is a _______________. [Luke 1:24-25] Soon afterward his wife, Elizabeth, became pregnant and went into seclusion for five months. [25] "How kind the Lord is!" she exclaimed. "He has taken away my disgrace of having no children." Our irritations can remind us of God's ____________________. [Luke 1:59-64] When the baby was eight days old, they all came for the circumcision ceremony. They wanted to name him Zechariah, after his father. [60] But Elizabeth said, "No! His name is John!" [61] "What?" they exclaimed. "There is no one in all your family by that name." [62] So they used gestures to ask the baby's father what he wanted to name him. [63] He motioned for a writing tablet, and to everyone's surprise he wrote, "His name is John." [64] Instantly Zechariah could speak again, and he began praising God. We can turn our doubts into _______________.

When He Speaks // Recognizing God's Voice John 10:3-5 NIV “The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger's voice.” 1 John 4:1a NIV Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God... Proverbs 14:12 NIV There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death. 1. Does it line up with the Bible? Matthew 19:3-6 NIV Some Pharisees came to him to test him. They asked, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any and every reason?” “Haven't you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,' and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh'? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” Luke 21:33 TLB And though all heaven and earth shall pass away, yet my words remain forever true. Proverbs 28:1 NLT The wicked run away when no one is chasing them, but the godly are as bold as lions. 2. Will it make me more like Christ? Philippians 2:5 NCV In your lives you must think and act like Christ Jesus. James 3:17-18 NIV But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness. 3. Does Godly counsel agree? Proverbs 12:15 NIV The way of fools seems right to them, but the wise listen to advice. Proverbs 19:20-21 NIV Listen to advice and accept discipline, and at the end you will be counted among the wise. Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails. Proverbs 24:6 NIV Surely you need guidance to wage war, and victory is won through many advisers. 4. Do I have peace? 1 Corinthians 14:33a NKJV For God is not the author of confusion but of peace… Philippians 4:6-7 NIV Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Questions: 1) Have you ever experienced a time in your life where you thought God was speaking to you, but you weren't sure? How did you navigate that experience? 2) It's important to use filters to help determine whether or not God is saying something. What is your first reaction when you feel a nudge from God? What filters have you applied in the past to help you differentiate God's voice versus something else? 3) Have you ever walked through an open door you felt was from the Lord and experienced anxiety? How did you manage those emotions? What was the outcome of that experience?

The Holy Spirit #3 - By Pastor George Lehman Destitute of the fire of the Holy Spirit of God – nothing else counts. Possessing the fire of the Holy Spirit, nothing else matters. Trying to do the Lord's work in your own strength is the most confusing, exhausting, and tedious of all work, but when you are filled with the Holy Spirit then the ministry of Jesus just flows out of you.   -Corrie Ten Boom This is a clear sign of the presence of the Holy Spirit in a person's life. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 (Amp) – And may the God of peace Himself sanctify you through and through [separate you from profane* things, make you pure and wholly consecrated to God]; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved sound and complete [and found] blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah). *profane = worldly, things that disrespect God The human personality:  Spirit, Soul, and Body. I'm sure we would all agree that spirit, soul, and body make up the complete human personality. Genesis 1:26 (Amp) – God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the [tame] beasts, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth. Notice:  In IMAGE and after LIKENESS. Image refers to outward appearance thus something in man's outward appearance mirrors the outward appearance of God. After Likeness refers to the internal structure of the Godhead -   Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Man's spirit, soul and body correspond to the three components of the Trinity. The internal structure of the human personality is traceable to God's creation of man. The human spirit proceeds from God's breath. Genesis 2:7 (Amp) – Then the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath or spirit of life, and man became a living being. Hebrew & Greek word for Spirit & breath are the same. The body was clay infused with divine life to become Adam. Fully Spirit, Soul and Body The soul is perhaps the most difficult component to understand. The part in us that determines… “I will” or “I won't” The soul comprises of Will, Emotions and Intellect and produces 3 corresponding types “I want”  “I feel”  “I think”   These statements rule the life of the natural, sinful man.  It's all about Me, Myself and I. Surrendering to these demands of the soul instead of being guided by God's Spirit – you separate yourself from God. Sin brings death to Adam – not physical but spiritual death. When we repent, God forgives our sins and renews our spirits. The Spirit takes up residence in us! Ephesians 2:1-3 (Amp) – And you [He made alive], when you were dead (slain) by [your] trespasses and sins in which at one time you walked [habitually]. You were following the course and fashion of this world [were under the sway of the tendency of this present age], following the prince of the power of the air. [You were obedient to and under the control of] the [demon] spirit that still constantly works in the sons of disobedience [the careless, the rebellious, and the unbelieving, who go against the purposes of God].  Among these we as well as you once lived and conducted ourselves in the passions of our flesh [our behavior governed by our corrupt and sensual nature], obeying the impulses of the flesh and the thoughts of the mind [our cravings dictated by our senses and our dark imaginings]. We were then by nature children of [God's] wrath and heirs of [His] indignation, like the rest of mankind. From rebellion to salvation Ephesians 2:4-6 (Amp) – But God—so rich is He in His mercy! Because of and in order to satisfy the great and wonderful and intense love with which He loved us,  Even when we were dead (slain) by [our own] shortcomings and trespasses, He made us alive together in fellowship and in union with Christ; [He gave us the very life of Christ Himself, the same new life with which He quickened Him, for] it is by grace (His favor and mercy which you did not deserve) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ's salvation).  And He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together [giving us joint seating with Him] in the heavenly sphere [by virtue of our being] in Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One). Salvation won't preserve our physical bodies – but it does make them temples for the Holy Spirit. 2 Corinthians 4:16(NIV) – Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. How we treat our bodies then, is very important, it has an important function. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (Amp) – Do you not know that your body is the temple (the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you have received [as a Gift] from God? You are not your own, You were bought with a price [purchased with a preciousness and paid for, made His own]. So then, honor God and bring glory to Him in your body. When we receive salvation, our spirits are made alive, our souls are reconciled to God and our bodies are made temples for the Holy Spirit. Functions of Spirit, Soul and Body. Spirit: Our spirit is capable of communicating directly with God and worshipping Him, as confirmed in… 1 Corinthians 6:17 (Amp) – But the person who is united to the Lord becomes one spirit with Him. 2 Timothy 1:7(NKJV) - For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.  Neither soul nor body can unite with God.  The spirit alone is capable of uniting with God. John 4:23-24 (Amp) – A time will come, however, indeed it is already here, when the true (genuine) worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth (reality); for the Father is seeking just such people as these as His worshipers.  God is a Spirit (a spiritual Being) and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth (reality). Soul: The soul's function is to make decisions and, regeneration[vernuwing] enables the soul to make right decisions. Psalm 103:1 (NIV) – Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. David's spirit is telling his soul what to do. His spirit senses the need to ‘bless the Lord' but it requires activation by his soul to execute this need. Eg. Like a gear lever on a car.  Turn the key, start the engine, but to make it move you must shift it into drive. It's often difficult to distinguish soul from spirit. The ONLY effective and sharp tool is - THE WORD. Hebrews 4:12 (NIV) – For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. The difference between mature and immature Christians… Hebrews 5:11-14 (Msg) –  I have a lot more to say about this, but it is hard to get it across to you since you've picked up this bad habit of not listening. By this time you ought to be teachers yourselves, yet here I find you need someone to sit down with you and go over the basics on God again, starting from square one-—baby's milk, when you should have been on solid food long ago! Milk is for beginners, inexperienced in God's ways; solid food is for the mature, who have some practice in telling right from wrong.   Body There's a marked difference between “Spiritual” and “Soulish” in relation to the body as described in the New Testament. Paul says… 1 Corinthians 15:44-50a (NIV) –  44It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.  If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.  45So, it is written: “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit.  46The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual.   47The first man was of the dust of the earth; the second man is of heaven.  48As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the heavenly man, so also are those who are of heaven.  49And just as we have borne the image of the earthly man, so shall we bear the image of the heavenly man.  50I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, What does it mean to be an “earthly soulish man”? From a Christian's standpoint, earthly individuals focus on our earthly life and nothing more, nothing beyond. Soulish people are egocentric, concerned exclusively with themselves; it's about my comforts, my likes my dislikes, my feelings my convenience.  “I do it my way.” It's about what God can do for me and not what I can do for God. 1 Corinthians 2:14-15 (NIV) –  The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, Spirit-filled believers produce fruit. Luke 3:8a (Amp) – Bear fruits that are deserving and consistent with [your] repentance [that is, conduct worthy of a heart changed, a heart abhorring sin]. They ask, “How can I glorify God?  How can I best serve God?”  Pleasing God is their 1st priority.  They have a confidence and a boldness that they are children of God. Romans 8:14-16 (Amp) – For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.  For [the Spirit which] you have now received [is] not a spirit of slavery to put you once more in bondage to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption [the Spirit producing sonship] in [the bliss of] which we cry, Abba (Father)! Father!  The Spirit Himself [thus] testifies together with our own spirit, [assuring us] that we are children of God. We can have absolute assurance in this scripture. 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 (NIV) – May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.  The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it. Being ready when Jesus comes in Spirit Soul and Body one day is not optional *****

So, let us look back to scripture so that we may reorient our souls to the sweet news of our Savior and recapture the wonder of the gift we celebrate SCRIPTURES: John 3:16 (NKJV)“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6).

This episode I read from the book of Nahum. I talk about the wickedness of the world and glory of God.This morning I asked the Lord what he wanted me to talk about. He told me to pick up my Bible, so I did. Then I held on to it and listened. I took my thumb and let the pages sift until I felt a sign of when to stop. When I felt it, I opened to the book of Nahum. The very first page, and so I read Chapter 1:2-8, and the word of God said “God is jealous, and the Lord avenges; The Lord avenges and is furious. The Lord will take vengeance on His adversaries, And He reserves wrath for His enemies; The Lord is slow to anger and great in power, And will not at all acquit the wicked. The Lord has His way In the whirlwind and in the storm, And the clouds are the dust of His feet. He rebukes the sea and makes it dry, And dries up all the rivers. Bashan and Carmel wither, And the flower of Lebanon wilts. The mountains quake before Him, The hills melt, And the earth heaves at His presence, Yes, the world and all who dwell in it. Who can stand before His indignation? And who can endure the fierceness of His anger? His fury is poured out like fire, And the rocks are thrown down by Him. The Lord is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him. But with an overflowing flood He will make an utter end of its place, And darkness will pursue His enemies.”Nahum 1:2-8 NKJVWhat is wickedness? We all have our interpretation of what is wicked, and we all tend to think of very dark things that most of us would never do.But what does the Bible say!“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!”II Timothy 3:1-5 NKJV(Breakdown)“For the wicked boasts of his heart's desire; He blesses the greedy and renounces the Lord. The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek God; God is in none of his thoughts.”Psalms 10:3-4 NKJVThis sounds like everyone. We all deserve hell. Because no I be is good.Mark 10:17-22“Now as He was going out on the road, one came running, knelt before Him, and asked Him, “Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?” So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery,' ‘Do not murder,' ‘Do not steal,' ‘Do not bear false witness,' ‘Do not defraud,' ‘Honor your father and your mother.' ” And he answered and said to Him, “Teacher, all these things I have kept from my youth.” Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.” But he was sad at this word, and went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.”Mark 10:17-22 NKJVDoes Jesus really want us to give up everything of this world? If these things are the most important to you then yes. If you put things of the heart before God, yes. If they stop you from spending time in the word, spreading the word, going to church then yes.If you spend 6 hours playing a video game, or watching tv and 15 min with God in a day, you are putting him at the bottom of your list. What a out the other things? What about adulatory, and murder? Certainly we have not done those things.“Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.”I John 3:15 NKJV““You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.' But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”Matthew 5:27-28 NKJVBut there is good news.“that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”Romans 10:9-10 NKJV“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”John 3:16 NKJVWhen you cross the line of salvation, you not only receive the gift of everlasting life in the Kingdom of Heaven, but you also receive the Holy Spirit, which is a part of God himself. The Holy Spirit will lead you to be more righteous, to take captive these thoughts of wickedness and throw them to the side. It will lead to spend more time in the word and less time in the world. If this is you and you want to live your life for Jesus, if you have stumbled but you want that relationship, then pray this prayer.Lord, I am a sinner, and I am not worthy of you kingdom, but through your grace and your mercy I can be forgiven. I want to make Jesus Lord of my life, and I believe in him with my heart and truly confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord. Thank you for saving me, thank you for loving me.In the name of JesusAmenFather, if anybody prayed that prayer, I ask that you bless them and be with them, and lead them to the righteous life you want for them. In Jesus name. And for those that aren't there yet Lord, I pray you soften their hearts, so they too will seek to receive your glory Lord. In Jesus name Amen and AmenThank you for tuning in to this episode. This Wednesday we talk about something that has been deceiving the world for many years, and that's the Prosperity Gospel.Have an amazing day.God Bless

( I John 3:1; John 3:16; Eph 2:4-7) Today is about gratitude to God Thank you Lord for Your mercy; You did not give us what we deserve. Thank you Lord for Your grace; You gave us what we did not deserve. You came and gave us Your life; You graciously forgave us when we deserved death. We deserved sickness; but You were made sickness for us. We deserved poverty; but You gave us your riches. Thank You Lord for Your riches of goodness and mercy in our lives. I cannot thank You enough; with a grateful heart I say thank You Lord for loving us so much. “Behold what manner of love the father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God...” (I John 3:1, NKJV) “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16, NIV) “But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, 5 that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God's grace that you have been saved!) 6 For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. 7 So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus.” (Ephesians 2:4-7) --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/abimbola-arawande/message

2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV  //  For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. How do I respond to fear? 1. Stop trying to control what you cannot control. Matthew 6:25-27  //  Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? Psalm 46:1  //  God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Psalm 46:10-11  //  He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Be Still = Cease Striving We don't cease striving because we know how it will all work out, but because we know the God who will work it out. Better than knowing the outcome is knowing God. 2. Look Back. 2 Chronicles 20:3 NLT  //  Jehoshaphat was terrified by this news and begged the LORD for guidance. He also ordered everyone in Judah to begin fasting. Celebrate God's faithfulness in your past or you won't trust him with your future. 3. Pray about everything Philippians 4:6-7  //  Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 1 Peter 5:7  //  Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Cast it because you weren't mean to carry it. Matthew 11:28  //  Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Sunday Bible Study with Scott The Overcoming Conqueror in Jesus Christ Romans 8:37 (NKJV) 37Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV) For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Romans 8:11 (NKJV) 11But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. 1 John 5:4–5 (NKJV) 4For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. 5Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? John 16:33 (NKJV) 33These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” 2 Corinthians 12:8–10 (NKJV) 8Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. 9And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong. Philippians 4:13 (NKJV) 13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. John 10:9–10 (NKJV) 9I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. 10The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. 1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV) 9But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; Hebrews 11:30 (NKJV) 30By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they were encircled for seven days. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

WHERE IS GOD? MAKING SENSE OF FAITH DURING A PANDEMIC During times of crisis ALL of humanity is faced with “God” questions. Where is God in this pandemic? Did God cause the novel coronavirus? Is God being passive-aggressive to allow it to happen? If God is loving WHY doesn’t He intervene? Is the pandemic an act of God’s judgment? Is there anything humans/believers can do? Can we expect special protection during these times? Will prayer motivate God? What does God feel towards human suffering? All of these questions often hang with no more resolution, stopping at the question marks. During this amazing series we will look at philosophical and theological ideas that help us make sense of God, returning us to wholehearted intimacy with God, ourselves and those around us. By Pastor Scott Jefferson Scriptures - Matthew 1:18-23 (NKJV) -  Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. 19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly. 20 But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. 21 And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” 22 So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: 23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” - Romans 3:23 (NKJV) - for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, - 1 John 1:8 (NKJV) - If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. - Galatians 3:13-14 (NKJV) - Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), 14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. - John 3:16-17 (NKJV) - For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. - Ephesians 2:8-9 (TPT) - For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. It's almost that time of year when the roses need to be pruned. They still have a few blooms, but they are looking very raggedy. Not at all like the brilliantly flourishing bushes of mid-summer. I'm a tough pruner. As pruning time approaches some of the rose bushes have branches that have grown to over 6 feet tall, and I cut them down to less than a foot in height. A horticulturalist taught me a few very useful things about pruning roses.... Consider the shape of the bush you are aiming for. The goal is to have the bush look like a vase with all branches cut so they will grow outwards, not towards the centre of the plant, and not crossing over other branches. Look for the slight showing of a bud and cut just above it, about 5mm, and on an angle sloping away from the bud. Clean the secateurs (pruning shears) with Methylated Spirits between each cut, so that disease is not spread in the plant or across the plants. When completed, spray the cuts with lime sulphur For thirteen years I have followed this regime. Often when people visit our home in July/August they mention the 'severity' of my pruning, and ask do they really grow back? Yes they do, bigger and with more magnificent blooms. Why this information about pruning roses? When I was in NZ, I attended a church service and the message was on John 15:1-15. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. John 15:2 NKJV Towards the end of the message the preacher said something like, "The reward for fruit is more pruning... Pruning means that God is pleased with you... Pruning leads to growth, it is not a punishment. I don't know about you, but for me the seasons of pruning can be a bit confusing and painful. From my experience when the pruning season is approaching there is a sense that something is changing. It may not be absolutely clear what is changing and why it is changing. Fear may try to rise up and cause confusion. It is in these times that I remind myself of these truths ... For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints. 1 Corinthians 14:33 NKJV As the pruning starts my go-to places are God's Word, and praise & worship. Reading His word - to understand why this pruning is taking place, finding answers to what is it that God is wanting to do in me. Praise and worship - to allow the Holy Spirit to minister to the pain and grief as God prunes, and to help me keep my eyes focused on Him and the end goal of becoming more like Christ. Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2 NKJV And remind myself that ... But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved. Hebrews 10:39 NIV Please don't think I am saying that I love and embrace pruning seasons. I haven't reached that place yet, and maybe never will. I have moments of doubts, fears and tears. But I know enough to know that God doesn't cut and run. No, He gently prunes in exactly the right places, the places where there is the hint of the bud that He wants to see bloom, because it will bring the fruit He desires from our lives. Philippians 3:13-14 from The Message bible says it this way ... I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back. Philippians 3:13-14 The Message Let's pray, Heavenly Father, thank you that you have a plan and purpose for our lives. Thank you that you are faithful in every season. Thank you that always know what is best for us. Please help us to trust you more in the pruning seasons and embrace the change you bring into our lives, knowing that you will work everything together for good for those who love you and have been called according to your purpose. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen. For more information please visit https://wendyrobinson.com.au

(39) For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.” Read rest of the notes 続きを読む https://yokohama.mylifehouse.com/tv/message/are-you-encouraged-then-encourage-others
