Recognizing the TranceEvery belief we hold about ourselves is fueled by a story. Repeated long enough, these stories become trance-like. From feeling “sick and tired of being sick and tired” to having your nervous system locked in a loop of anxiety or self-criticism, a pause in your inner monologue marks the start of transformation.2. Changing the NarrativeWhen you consciously stop negative self-talk, you leave space for something helpful to emerge. In that silence, new possibilities unfold. Society often honors the shadow side without realizing its damage. Feel it deeply relax your eyes, Soften your cheeks, Release your jaw, Soften your mouth, And relieve your neck.  LONG PAUSE… Notice as the soft, lavender light travels down, Wrapping its soothing energy around your shoulders, Your right arm, Your left arm, Your hands.  PAUSE… Notice the soft hum of sleep it spreads here, And then feel your shoulders drop, Your right arm and your left arm melt, And your hands soften and relax, LONG PAUSE… The soothing lavender light now settles onto your chest, Relaxes your belly, And slowly cascades down your back,  Following your spine from your neck, All the way down to your lower back. Relaxing and releasing, Relaxing and releasing. LONG PAUSE… Invite the calming energy of the soft, lavender light to spread into your hips, Down into your thighs, And circling around your left leg, And now your right leg. PAUSE... Watch it spiral all the way down into your right foot, And then your left foot. And then covering your toes, One by one. LONG PAUSE… Breathe deeply, And feel yourself wrapped lovingly in the soothing, Lavender light of the night. PAUSE… Let it heal you, Let it cleanse you, Let it relieve your body of all the tension it carries. Cool on the inhale, Warm on the exhale.  Follow the air into your belly, Stretching out as you breathe in, Contracting as you breathe out.  Breathe… PAUSE… Your mind naturally wants to play, Flashing visions, stories and speckles of thoughts across its walls. Just notice as they come up, Observing them calmly from afar, Letting them all play in front of you, And not in you. PAUSE… Notice that they are there. And you are here. Separate. You are not those thoughts. Let that truth infuse you with a warm confidence, Knowing you can get out of your head, And into the moment. PAUSE… Wiggle your fingers gently, Letting the soft movement pull you into your body. You are here. PAUSE… Let your lips spread into a smile across your face, Feeling the stretch of your skin and the tightening of your cheeks. And then relax your face, feeling the warm waves of relaxation. You are here. In this body. In this moment. Nothing that is flying around in your head matters right now. Be here. PAUSE… Breathe, And tune into the sounds around you. Your mind wants to label them, categorize them, explain them, But instead, just listen, With your body, Your heart, Your soul. Listen to the orchestra of sounds around you. You're doing a great job, mama.   And you are a phenomenal mother.  And your little ones are so blessed to have you. No matter how many mistakes you make.   No matter how unique your style of parenting.  No matter how many times you've broken down. You are doing a great job.  So the intention of today's meditation is to give you the space to swim in the greatness of your mothering. So you can embrace the beauty of its imperfection and honor yourself for showing up every day. Close your eyes and settle into a position that's comfortable for you.   Slow your breathing down, Inhaling just a little more,  And exhaling just a little longer.  Feel the air come into the lungs and fill your belly.  Relax your cheeks,  Let your lower jaw release and let your tongue drop from the roof of your mouth. Lower your shoulders,  Soften your stomach, Relax your legs. Feel your body melting into your position.  And breathe. PAUSE… This time is for you mama.   To honor you.  To remind you that you are doing a great job. And that your kids are blessed to have you.  Breathe deeply, Exhale completely. PAUSE… I want you to imagine yourself sitting in your favorite spot in your home.   You feel so comfortable here. You are safe and cozy.   Take a deep breath in, filling your belly with air,  And as you exhale, relax yourself further into your favorite spot.   PAUSE… Now imagine that your child walks into the room. They're 20 years older than they are now,  An adult in the world.  And they're here in front of you, coming home to visit you, mama.  Notice what you see on your face as you look at your child. Joy. Pride. Gratitude. Intense love lighting you up. Your heart is full and you hear your inner voice whisper, you did a great job, mama. Notice your chest expand with air as you drink in the sight in front of you.  Your child is here,  Healthy. And authentically themselves. PAUSE… Notice that in this space of appreciation for the child you have raised,  As you watch your beautiful kid in front of you, There are no judgements.  No guilt.  No worries about your parenting or even about your child. They do not exist here.   All that exists is this incredible human in front of you. And a deep knowing in your gut that you have done a great job.  And you continue to do a great job.  PAUSE… Now take a deep breath in, inhaling oxygen deep into your body, Feeling it nourish and cleanse you, And breathe out completely, letting yourself sink deeper into relaxation. PAUSE… You will never be a perfect mom.  There is no such thing.  But you are the perfect mom for your child. And no matter how many missteps you may make,  No matter how much you second-guess yourself. You are a phenomenal mother.  And you're doing a great job.  Let your inner voice continue to guide you through the terrain of mothering.  And trust that you are doing your best.  And that your parenting journey is yours to co-create with your child. PAUSE… Now observe as this soft, purple light dances around your neck,  Releasing any tension, Travels down to your shoulders as they lower with ease, And covers your chest, softening and soothing. Feel the warmth it gives to everywhere it touches. PAUSE… The purple light is now glowing all the way down your arms. Feel the warm tingle in your fingers as your body gets heavier and heavier. And welcome the warmth into your belly, Your hips, And your thighs, The soft, purple light soothing you,  And guiding you into the depth of peaceful sleep.  PAUSE… Notice as your legs get heavier, like steel sinking to the bottom of the ocean,  Falling further and further into the comfort of your bed.  And let the purple light warmly buzz into your feet,  Releasing any tension, And anchoring you into the depth of the night.  PAUSE… Let the waves of sleep wash over you, beautiful, Covering you in the calm mist of purple light, And embracing you on your journey of peaceful sleep tonight. PAUSE… Your entire body is soft, calm and relaxed, As you let go into comfort. PAUSE… Notice your breathing, as you follow each breath in and out. If your thoughts wander, gently bring them back. Slowly, Piece by piece, Shade by shade, Drifting away from your mind, And into the nothingness of the night. LONG PAUSE… Look upon your mind from afar, Your body melted deep into your bed, Safe within your sheets.  PAUSE… Listen for it, The gentle sounds of silence, Coming from your calm mind. Soothing, And relaxing, And slowing you down.  LONG PAUSE… Feel the warmth of your feet, And with your attention on them, See if you can imagine yourself taking one small step, And then another, Until you're walking forward slowly, And deliberately. PAUSE… Your body is relaxed, And fluid as you move.  Your shoulders are soft and lowered. Your eyes are heavy, Your belly is soft, And your breathing is slow. PAUSE… Your walking brings you to the top of a staircase. The ground is warm,  And the air around you is quiet and calm. Feel your body gently pull you forward, As your foot reaches down to find the first step. PAUSE… Breathe deeply here, Fully into your lungs, Letting the fresh air cleanse you. LONG PAUSE… Softer now, Your foot slowly descends onto the second step. And as it touches down,  You can feel all those plans,  All those things your mind has been trying to organize,  Detach,  Travel down your body, And release into the ground.  As you just breathe… LONG PAUSE… Your foot gently reaches down for the third step, And as it finds its hold,  Notice all those worries gather. All of the stresses you've been holding, All of the anxieties that have been building. Watch them gather within you, And fall to the ground,  With every single exhale.  LONG PAUSE… Your body is soft, Open,  And deeply relaxed,  As you descend onto the fourth step of the staircase.  PAUSE… Notice the emotions swirling inside of you. The excitement, The heaviness. All those waves of hope,  Doubt,  Fear, And joy.  PAUSE… Let your slow breathing corral them,  Embrace them,  And let them go, With every breath out.  LONG PAUSE… As your foot leans down to touch the fifth step,  You notice your mind is clear, Your back is relaxed, Your fingers and toes hum lightly with warmth, And your cheeks are soft.  PAUSE… Take a big deep breath here, Filling up with fresh air,  And letting your exhale calm you even more.  LONG PAUSE… You continue onto the sixth step,  Feeling as though you're gently gliding down the stairs, And deep into the comfort of the night.  PAUSE… Feel your neck soften,  Your arms melt, And your chest open.  LONG PAUSE… The seventh step welcomes you, Into the open arms of the night. She embraces you, And fills your open heart with love.  LONG PAUSE… Ease down onto step eight. Lightly. Feel yourself melt a little further, And float a little easier.  LONG PAUSE… As your foot finds step number nine,  You feel the waves of total peace wash over you. Gratitude for what has been, Acceptance for what is, And openness for what's to come.  PAUSE… Your arms and legs are heavy, Your chest and belly are open and soft, Your mind is spacious and clear. LONG PAUSE… As you descend onto your tenth and final step,  You feel the warm light of your soul radiate. You are one with this moment. One with yourself.  One with the universe.  PAUSE… You are the night. You are the stars.  You are love. You are calm.  PAUSE… Rest now, dear one. And trust in the night.  Surrender to her and her wisdom. PAUSE… Here you are replenished.  Here you are healed.  So you can return to the morning whole,  And you, Once again.  Namaste, Beautiful.

Feel your body heavy, Your arms and legs, Your front body and back body, Descend. PAUSE… Imagine your body is so heavy. It feels like you're filled with sand. At the base of your spine, Imagine a tiny hole. PAUSE… This sand slowly releases, Down and out, And away from your body. PAUSE… You are feeling lighter, And lighter. PAUSE… Your breath is soft. PAUSE… You begin to notice, The last few pieces of sand, As they drift away, Down and out, And away from your body. This tiny hole closes, And at the top of your head, A beautiful waterfall of light. This reiki energy rushes in, You allow this cleansing energy, And calming energy to flow, From the top of your head, And through your entire body. You now feel light. Like a feather. PAUSE… Become aware of this energy, Feeling your face and eyes. Softening the skin on your face, And relaxing your eyes. Your cheekbones, Your lips, And your jaw. PAUSE… Awareness moves to your throat, And your neck. Feel this calm energy soothe your throat. PAUSE… This energy fills your heart space. Feel your heart, Peaceful and calm, The place for love, Kindness, And compassion. This place, For self-love. PAUSE… This reiki energy fills your belly now, Your stomach area, Feel it calm. You're doing a great job, mama.   And you are a phenomenal mother.  And your little ones are so blessed to have you. No matter how many mistakes you make.   No matter how unique your style of parenting.  No matter how many times you've broken down. You are doing a great job.  So the intention of today's meditation is to give you the space to swim in the greatness of your mothering. So you can embrace the beauty of its imperfection and honor yourself for showing up every day. Close your eyes and settle into a position that's comfortable for you.   Slow your breathing down, Inhaling just a little more,  And exhaling just a little longer.  Feel the air come into the lungs and fill your belly.  Relax your cheeks,  Let your lower jaw release and let your tongue drop from the roof of your mouth. Lower your shoulders,  Soften your stomach, Relax your legs. Feel your body melting into your position.  And breathe. PAUSE… This time is for you mama.   To honor you.  To remind you that you are doing a great job. And that your kids are blessed to have you.  Breathe deeply, Exhale completely. PAUSE… I want you to imagine yourself sitting in your favorite spot in your home.   You feel so comfortable here. You are safe and cozy.   Take a deep breath in, filling your belly with air,  And as you exhale, relax yourself further into your favorite spot.   PAUSE… Now imagine that your child walks into the room. They're 20 years older than they are now,  An adult in the world.  And they're here in front of you, coming home to visit you, mama.  Notice what you see on your face as you look at your child. Joy. Pride. Gratitude. Intense love lighting you up. Your heart is full and you hear your inner voice whisper, you did a great job, mama. Notice your chest expand with air as you drink in the sight in front of you.  Your child is here,  Healthy. And authentically themselves. PAUSE… Notice that in this space of appreciation for the child you have raised,  As you watch your beautiful kid in front of you, There are no judgements.  No guilt.  No worries about your parenting or even about your child. They do not exist here.   All that exists is this incredible human in front of you. And a deep knowing in your gut that you have done a great job.  And you continue to do a great job.  PAUSE… Now take a deep breath in, inhaling oxygen deep into your body, Feeling it nourish and cleanse you, And breathe out completely, letting yourself sink deeper into relaxation. PAUSE… You will never be a perfect mom.  There is no such thing.  But you are the perfect mom for your child. And no matter how many missteps you may make,  No matter how much you second-guess yourself. You are a phenomenal mother.  And you're doing a great job.  Let your inner voice continue to guide you through the terrain of mothering.  And trust that you are doing your best.  And that your parenting journey is yours to co-create with your child. PAUSE… Feel the waves of air, Move through your body. Ebbing, And flowing. Soothing, And relaxing, And slowing you down.  LONG PAUSE… Feel the warmth of your feet, And with your attention on them, See if you can imagine yourself taking one small step, And then another, Until you're walking forward slowly, And deliberately. PAUSE… Your body is relaxed, And fluid as you move.  Your shoulders are soft and lowered. Your eyes are heavy, Your belly is soft, And your breathing is slow. PAUSE… Your walking brings you to the top of a staircase. The ground is warm,  And the air around you is quiet and calm. Feel your body gently pull you forward, As your foot reaches down to find the first step. PAUSE… Breathe deeply here, Fully into your lungs, Letting the fresh air cleanse you. LONG PAUSE… Softer now, Your foot slowly descends onto the second step. And as it touches down,  You can feel all those plans,  All those things your mind has been trying to organize,  Detach,  Travel down your body, And release into the ground.  As you just breathe… LONG PAUSE… Your foot gently reaches down for the third step, And as it finds its hold,  Notice all those worries gather. All of the stresses you've been holding, All of the anxieties that have been building. Watch them gather within you, And fall to the ground,  With every single exhale.  LONG PAUSE… Your body is soft, Open,  And deeply relaxed,  As you descend onto the fourth step of the staircase.  PAUSE… Notice the emotions swirling inside of you. The excitement, The heaviness. All those waves of hope,  Doubt,  Fear, And joy.  PAUSE… Let your slow breathing corral them,  Embrace them,  And let them go, With every breath out.  LONG PAUSE… As your foot leans down to touch the fifth step,  You notice your mind is clear, Your back is relaxed, Your fingers and toes hum lightly with warmth, And your cheeks are soft.  PAUSE… Take a big deep breath here, Filling up with fresh air,  And letting your exhale calm you even more.  LONG PAUSE… You continue onto the sixth step,  Feeling as though you're gently gliding down the stairs, And deep into the comfort of the night.  PAUSE… Feel your neck soften,  Your arms melt, And your chest open.  LONG PAUSE… The seventh step welcomes you, Into the open arms of the night. She embraces you, And fills your open heart with love.  LONG PAUSE… Ease down onto step eight. Lightly. Feel yourself melt a little further, And float a little easier.  LONG PAUSE… As your foot finds step number nine,  You feel the waves of total peace wash over you. Gratitude for what has been, Acceptance for what is, And openness for what's to come.  PAUSE… Your arms and legs are heavy, Your chest and belly are open and soft, Your mind is spacious and clear. LONG PAUSE… As you descend onto your tenth and final step,  You feel the warm light of your soul radiate. You are one with this moment. One with yourself.  One with the universe.  PAUSE… You are the night. You are the stars.  You are love. You are calm.  PAUSE… Rest now, dear one. And trust in the night.  Surrender to her and her wisdom. PAUSE… Here you are replenished.  Here you are healed.  So you can return to the morning whole,  And you, Once again.  Namaste, Beautiful.

Mindfulness means we are conscious of our thoughts,  Our emotions and the world around us, So we can be here in the present moment, And live our lives with intention.  PAUSE… So let us practice mindfulness, By staying with our breath, And simply noticing when thoughts arise.  Noticing when emotions bubble up. So close your eyes and settle your body into comfort, Moving it around a bit so you can snuggle into that position you know so well. When you've found it, take a deep breath in, feeling cool, refreshing air all the way down to your toes, And then exhale, Relaxing your body even deeper into your bed.  PAUSE… Notice the smooth motion of your body. Softly expanding as you breathe in, And contracting as you breathe out. Notice how your body feels on your bed, Heavy,  Supported, Relaxed. And notice your breath orchestrating it all, Filling your body with life with each breath in, And releasing the day with each breath out.  Breathe in, And release. Breathe in, And release.  PAUSE… Now see if you can imagine a soft, gentle force lifting you off of your bed, Cradling you as you float up into the air.   You feel light.  Safe, And soothed by the cool night air.  Let yourself float. Up, up, up. PAUSE… Soon, you're floating in the dark sea of space. Fall back into your weightlessness, Allowing your arms and legs to expand with curiosity as they play with the absence of gravity. And breathe… PAUSE… You see the Earth. Her vibrant blues and greens whisper to you, Telling you her secrets, Reminding you just how majestic she is. A deeply complex orchestration of oxygen, carbon, and atoms that create the melodies of life. You look at her in awe,  And immediately the life you left just moments ago,  Makes so much more sense to you.  You can see clearly what matters.  You can see clearly what doesn't.  From here, from this perspective,  You feel the calm presence of the universe. All around you. Inside of you. One with you. And you can feel all those worries or anxieties or thoughts that were stumbling you just hours ago, begin to crumble.  Disintegrating amongst the vast open blackness of outer space.  As you relax deeper and float. PAUSE… You feel the warmth of the sun upon you, You feel its power, And know it's your source. It feeds you with its sunlight.   Feeds your body, Feeds your mind, Feeds your soul. So calm your body as you inhale the warm rays of sunlight. Let every inbreath nourish you with its energy, And restore you on your journey tonight. PAUSE… Let yourself float. Look for the bright spots, no matter how few, And sink into their warmth once again.   PAUSE… Notice what those moments have in common, Notice what they brought out in you. Remember how strong or joyful you felt, Pull those feelings deep into your heart.   PAUSE… Such moments don't have to be rare in life, Nor must they be hard to find. If you created them once, you can do it again, The power lies within you.   PAUSE… The first step is to believe it, To truly know your strength. To understand the role you play In getting what you need. Breathe in slowly, feel that strength wrap its energy around you. Exhale deeply and release what's in your way.   LONG PAUSE… Think about when you last felt at peace, In sync with everything in your midst. Picture the source of your contentment, Conjure its image anew. PAUSE… Perhaps you were on vacation, Away from duties and cares, Finding joy on the open water, Or nested in a majestic forest.   PAUSE… Maybe you were with family, The people who know and love you best. Or friends who always make you laugh, Who sense exactly what you need.   PAUSE… Maybe you were having an adventure, Exploring the world's delights. Breathing in history and eating good food, Making this gorgeous planet your own.   PAUSE… Within those memories, there are details, Bright recollections like firefly trails. Those are the moments that changed you, That showed you how high you could fly.   Inhale as you imagine your spirit rising, floating in a sky full of potential. Exhale and picture yourself changing, feel your heart and mind expand.   LONG PAUSE… Now that you're in touch with what moves you, With the bliss that makes life worthwhile, Use that happiness as a road map, As a way to light up the mundane. PAUSE… We can enjoy the things we must do, Nearly as much as doing what we choose, If we let ourselves glimpse the sacred in both, And remember that each one feeds the other. PAUSE… The ordinary can be beautiful, When carried out with purpose. If you paint each moment with its own tiny brush, The splendor is free to emerge. PAUSE… With practice, your vision begins to change. Your outer view softens and shifts. Soon you realize how little distance exists In the space between effort and ease.   PAUSE… Toil asks less when it is meaningful, Since purpose lightens the load. A lighter heart finds lighter paths, And leaves the darkness to sputter in its wake. PAUSE… Sink deeper into your peaceful place, Let your soul dance through your dreams. As your rest your body and silence your mind, New possibilities have room to emerge.   Take a deep and certain breath, knowing the shift has begun. Exhale that breath and feel the hope, a better tomorrow on the horizon. LONG PAUSE… Though the process may seem out of reach, In truth, you create your life from scratch. You alone are the architect, And your wisdom guides your hand.   PAUSE… Tomorrow you'll begin the quest, One small step at a time. You'll view your life with brand new eyes, And aim for better things.   PAUSE… For even good can be better, There's always room to try. Close your eyes, and ease your mind, And let your thoughts rise like a kite.   PAUSE… It's time to float above the earth, To explore the starry skies, To find the peace that hovers there, The peace on which your soul relies.   PAUSE… When you let go and step outside, The you you're forced to be, Possibilities start to reveal themselves, Changing the way you see.   PAUSE… We so often send our wishes up, Without imagining where they go. If we don't give our intentions direction, How can we expect them to grow?   PAUSE… So use this time along the path to sleep, To make your desires concrete. Define the shape of every wish, And make your plans complete.   PAUSE… When you float among the stars, Your wildest dreams can grow. Ideas that once eluded you, Now step forward to say hello.   PAUSE… In this place, your mind is free, Ready to reveal what you need. Your job is to let it guide you, To learn to follow its lead.   PAUSE… Once your thoughts have settled down, And your spirit has started to speak, Take note of what it whispers to you, The way it details what you seek.   PAUSE… As you listen to your deepest self, Your heart will warm in your chest.  For it knows what you need as well, And only wants the best. LONG PAUSE… Gather the images filling your mind, Try to decode what they mean. Arrange them in the order they suggest to you, Leaving no sight unseen.   PAUSE… Notice what happens deep within, As you gaze on all of these wishes. Feel the promise start to fill you up, While your soul reveals its riches. PAUSE… When you're ready to get to work, To turn your wishes into art, Pull out your inner paint brush, And show the universe what's in your heart. PAUSE… Your paintings can be anything, Figures, symbols, or words. Move that brush with abandon, Let your spirit soar like a bird.   PAUSE… Think back to when you were very small, To the hopes and dreams of youth. Look for the ways those wishes still matter, The ways they still speak of your truth. PAUSE… This trip across your mind, Is such a critical task. It reminds you who you're meant to be, Leaving all your selves unmasked.   PAUSE… And sharing that truth with the universe, Stating your wishes outright, Is an equally important step, One that takes them out into the light. PAUSE… So turn your mind into a canvas, And draw whatever you see. Vivid pictures of your ideal life, Loving portraits of what you need. LONG PAUSE… Now that you have a mental mural, A rendering of wishes and goals, Raise that canvas toward the skies, To the sea of starry souls.   PAUSE… Let your yearnings join with theirs, Becoming part of the universal web. Completely unique yet part of the all, Your energy will never ebb.   PAUSE… So when the world starts getting you down, When it tramples your hopes and dreams, Remember you're tied to something more, Something so much bigger than it seems.   PAUSE… You've shared your secrets with the heavens. You've made your intentions known. Now the cosmos is on your side, Conspiring to give you what it's been shown.   PAUSE…

Moving around a bit until you find that familiar,  Comfortable position welcome you. Then breathe here, Calling your attention away from the thoughts in your head, And into the relaxing rhythms of your body. PAUSE… Ride the waves of your breathing, As the air comes into your body,  Like the waves rising onto the beach. Continue to ride the waves, as the air exits your body, Like the waves retract back into the ocean.  In and out, Sync your breathing with the motion of the waves on the beach. In and out, In and out. Your mind clear,  Your body present with the soothing rhythm. PAUSE… Come to the night to release, To restore, And to reset. Preparing fertile soil from which the seeds of tomorrow can quickly sprout. Breathe… And bring your dreams here, Your deepest desires, The people and values you hold most dear. Gather them up and bring them to the night, Inviting them into your garden, So you can create. PAUSE… Notice a warmth on your hands, A soft glow of light relaxing them, And filling them with love. Watch as you place your hand into the soil beneath you. It's cool and welcoming and makes you feel like a kid again. Free, Happy. PAUSE… Move your hands slowly in the soil,  And feel energized and soothed by the Earth, Its calming vibrations travel from deep within its core, through the dirt and into your hands. Invite its warm energy into all of you, And feel it slowly move up your arms,  Into your chest,  Down your back,  And deep into your legs. Calming you, Relaxing you, Centering you. PAUSE… Here in your garden,  You are safe, And allowed to create anything you want. So sink deeper into rest, Deeper into the soil, And let your mind imagine your garden of tomorrow. PAUSE… What are your intentions? What do you want to experience? Who do you want to see? Who do you want to be? Be here now,  The creator of your beautiful garden, And relax into the deep calm of the Earth. LONG PAUSE… Tomorrow is a new day. A new chance to create. A new opportunity to live intentionally. Following your breath in and out, And surrendering yourself to its soothing,  Slow rhythm. Breathe... PAUSE… Now see if you can imagine a soft, pink ball of light,  Shining within you at your center.  Feel its warmth,  Its comforting glow of loving kindness within you. With every breath, Watch as your soft, pink ball of light radiates its glow into all the parts of your body, Filling you up entirely with loving kindness, With generosity, With compassion, With gentleness. You feel light, Loved, And whole. Breathe… PAUSE… Now see if you can imagine a crowd of people all around you. As you look around, you see those you love, Your friends,  Family, Acquaintances, Colleagues.  Now imagine that your beautiful, pink light radiates out onto all of them, Covering them with your loving-kindness, And letting them feel your empathy, Connectedness, And love. PAUSE… Notice how much deeper your own love grows as you share it with others.  How much lighter you are, How much more joy there is inside of you. PAUSE… Now see if you can imagine another crowd of people appearing.  These are the billions of other people in the world you have not yet met and do not know. You look around and look into the eyes of other women, men and children, And you immediately feel connected to them, One with them, Deeply aware that each of them have a significant life,  And a history that deserves respect.  PAUSE… Let your warm, pink light radiate out onto every single one of them,  Connecting you, And showering them with the gentle loving kindness that continues to flow abundantly from you. PAUSE… Now see if you can imagine that beyond the crowds of people in front of you,  You see all the animals and creatures of the world,  The plants, the trees, the water and the mountains, And all of Mother Nature's wonders.  You see the Earth, The sun, the moon, the stars,  And the infinite depths of the Universe.  They're all here. You are them,  And they are you. So give them your loving kindness, And let them feel the expanding glow of your beautiful pink light.  PAUSE… Everyone matters. You're doing a great job, mama.   And you are a phenomenal mother.  And your little ones are so blessed to have you. No matter how many mistakes you make.   No matter how unique your style of parenting.  No matter how many times you've broken down. You are doing a great job.  So the intention of today's meditation is to give you the space to swim in the greatness of your mothering. So you can embrace the beauty of its imperfection and honor yourself for showing up every day. Close your eyes and settle into a position that's comfortable for you.   Slow your breathing down, Inhaling just a little more,  And exhaling just a little longer.  Feel the air come into the lungs and fill your belly.  Relax your cheeks,  Let your lower jaw release and let your tongue drop from the roof of your mouth. Lower your shoulders,  Soften your stomach, Relax your legs. Feel your body melting into your position.  And breathe. PAUSE… This time is for you mama.   To honor you.  To remind you that you are doing a great job. And that your kids are blessed to have you.  Breathe deeply, Exhale completely. PAUSE… I want you to imagine yourself sitting in your favorite spot in your home.   You feel so comfortable here. You are safe and cozy.   Take a deep breath in, filling your belly with air,  And as you exhale, relax yourself further into your favorite spot.   PAUSE… Now imagine that your child walks into the room. They're 20 years older than they are now,  An adult in the world.  And they're here in front of you, coming home to visit you, mama.  Notice what you see on your face as you look at your child. Joy. Pride. Gratitude. Intense love lighting you up. Your heart is full and you hear your inner voice whisper, you did a great job, mama. Notice your chest expand with air as you drink in the sight in front of you.  Your child is here,  Healthy. And authentically themselves. PAUSE… Notice that in this space of appreciation for the child you have raised,  As you watch your beautiful kid in front of you, There are no judgements.  No guilt.  No worries about your parenting or even about your child. They do not exist here.   All that exists is this incredible human in front of you. And a deep knowing in your gut that you have done a great job.  And you continue to do a great job.  PAUSE… Now take a deep breath in, inhaling oxygen deep into your body, Feeling it nourish and cleanse you, And breathe out completely, letting yourself sink deeper into relaxation. PAUSE… You will never be a perfect mom.  There is no such thing.  But you are the perfect mom for your child. And no matter how many missteps you may make,  No matter how much you second-guess yourself. You are a phenomenal mother.  And you're doing a great job.  Let your inner voice continue to guide you through the terrain of mothering.  And trust that you are doing your best.  And that your parenting journey is yours to co-create with your child. Every single day.  PAUSE…

Take a nice long slow deep breath in, And a nice long slow deep breath out. We call forth this energy of reiki, For the highest and the greatest good, At this time. Place your own intention in your mind, PAUSE… And so it is, And so be it. PAUSE… Shift your awareness, To the top of your head. Feel your body heavy, Your arms and legs, Your front body and back body, Descend. PAUSE… Imagine your body is so heavy. It feels like you're filled with sand. At the base of your spine, Imagine a tiny hole. PAUSE… This sand slowly releases, Down and out, And away from your body. PAUSE… You are feeling lighter, And lighter. PAUSE… Your breath is soft. PAUSE… You begin to notice, The last few pieces of sand, As they drift away, Down and out, And away from your body. This tiny hole closes, And at the top of your head, A beautiful waterfall of light. This reiki energy rushes in, You allow this cleansing energy, And calming energy to flow, From the top of your head, And through your entire body. You now feel light. Like a feather. PAUSE… Become aware of this energy, Feeling your face and eyes. Softening the skin on your face, And relaxing your eyes. Your cheekbones, Your lips, And your jaw. PAUSE… Awareness moves to your throat, And your neck. Feel this calm energy soothe your throat. PAUSE… This energy fills your heart space. Feel your heart, Peaceful and calm, The place for love, Kindness, And compassion. This place, For self-love. PAUSE… This reiki energy fills your belly now, Your stomach area, Feel it calm. PAUSE… Feel surrender. PAUSE… Observe and notice your hips, Feeling your hips settle. Letting go of your long day. PAUSE… This energy fills your knees. And down your legs. Caressing your knees and legs, Feeling light and relaxed. Take a deep, cleansing breath in, gathering up all the things left of the day, And as you exhale, breathe them all out. One more deep breath in, feeling the cool air cleanse you, And exhale your day out.  Bring your breathing to a smooth, natural rhythm, And just be here for a bit, Aware of your body, The space it takes up, The rhythmic movement of your breathing, The heaviness of your eyes, The weight of your body on your bed. Breathe... And be here with your breath. PAUSE... Bring your attention to the crown of your head, And imagine a soft, purple light glowing here. Warming you,  Putting your mind at ease, And infusing your entire body with calm from the top down. PAUSE… Now feel that warm, purple light as it touches your face, Kissing your eyes as they grow heavier, Relaxing your cheeks as your jaw releases and lowers, Softening your lips,  Your chin, And your ears. Feel your entire head melt deeper into your pillow. PAUSE… Now observe as this soft, purple light dances around your neck,  Releasing any tension, Travels down to your shoulders as they lower with ease, And covers your chest, softening and soothing. Feel the warmth it gives to everywhere it touches. PAUSE… The purple light is now glowing all the way down your arms. Feel the warm tingle in your fingers as your body gets heavier and heavier. And welcome the warmth into your belly, Your hips, And your thighs, The soft, purple light soothing you,  And guiding you into the depth of peaceful sleep.  PAUSE… Notice as your legs get heavier, like steel sinking to the bottom of the ocean,  Falling further and further into the comfort of your bed.  And let the purple light warmly buzz into your feet,  Releasing any tension, And anchoring you into the depth of the night.  PAUSE… Let the waves of sleep wash over you, beautiful, Covering you in the calm mist of purple light, And embracing you on your journey of peaceful sleep tonight. PAUSE… Notice your mind, Moving,  Swirling, And wanting to play. PAUSE… And see if you can imagine yourself, Looking upon your mind, Noticing your thoughts from afar, And then breathing out a sigh, As your body softens, And your mind calms. Slow down now, And find your breath. Inhale deeply, Following the air as it fills up your belly, And hold it for a moment.  And then exhale completely, Letting all that air go, And tightening your stomach at the end, As the very last drops of air are released.  PAUSE… Relax into a nice, easy rhythm of breathing, Slowing it down bit by bit with every single breath.  PAUSE… Let it soothe your body, And calm your mind.  LONG PAUSE… Now look upon your mind from afar. This beautiful part of you, Who loves to stay active, Electric, And bursting with thoughts.   PAUSE… Notice the colors, The greens and yellows and pinks, Painting your mind as they move, Sparkle,  And create.  PAUSE… Notice the bubbles of black, The mini clouds of grey, Spreading across with worry, And stress. PAUSE… Notice it all there, Encapsulated in your mind, This gorgeous, magical entity of color.  LONG PAUSE… Now breathe out, Over and over again, And notice the movement of your mind, Slow down, Lighten, And calm.  LONG PAUSE… Breathe out, And notice the colors that were sparkling within, The colors that were painted inside, Are lightening, Dissolving, And disappearing. Slowly, Piece by piece, Shade by shade, Drifting away from your mind, And into the nothingness of the night. LONG PAUSE… Look upon your mind from afar, Your body melted deep into your bed, Safe within your sheets.  PAUSE… Listen for it, The gentle sounds of silence, Coming from your calm mind. PAUSE… Feel it, The absence of movement, The space to be. The space to surrender to sleep. PAUSE… Breathe… And feel the calm, In your body, In your mind, Within your soul. Sweet Dreams, Beautiful.
