Have you ever thought about the co-creative act of making a flower essence as a spiritual or self-development practice in and of itself? It requires surrendering to the moment, really listening to Nature, and going with the flow to accept all parts of the experience. The lessons the plants impart in the process may continue long after the essence is bottled, so an awareness must also be cultivated to notice, interpret, and work with what comes up. Kathleen and Rochana reflect on how years of essence making have enhanced their individual personal growth — in all its messy glory. Do you make flower essences? We'd love to hear your experiences and thoughts on this topic! If you haven't made them yourself, is this something that you'd like to try?

“Remember, you are not alone as you gather herbs. Birds, butterflies, insects, other animals, and elemental beings may be nearby, sometimes visible and sometimes not.”— DEB SOULEIn this webinar, Deb Soule shares her journey following the southern migration of the ruby-throated hummingbird, and what inspired her. Deb and Pam will also discuss how herbal gardens offer sanctuary for pollinators. Flowering plants and trees, hedgerows and pathways, arbors and benches, altars and bells add magical dimensions into a healing garden. A diversity of plants, blooming throughout the gardening season encourages a diversity of pollinators and birds.. The biodynamic approach that Deb uses at Avena Botanical gardens helps create a sacred environment for all beings that enter the gardens. Deb Soule is an herbalist, gardener, teacher, and author of The Woman's Handbook of Healing Herbs, How to Move Like a Gardener and The Healing Garden. Deb began organic gardening and studying the medicinal uses of herbs at age 16. Her faith in the healing qualities of plants includes a desire to make organic herbs easily accessible to women and families living in rural areas. In the fall of 1985, with her first mail-order catalog and a small selection of herbal extracts and teas, Deb launched Avena Botanicals, an apothecary that now serves thousands of customers. Deb has a special connection to the hummingbirds and has traveled part of the migratory path.Pam Montgomery has been investigating plants and their intelligent spiritual nature for more than three decades. Plants have always held an important place in my heart. I grew up with them and never questioned their rightful place in my home and garden. When my mother was older and living in an apartment, she would lovingly grow African violets from leaves. She would line the fledgling plants up on her windowsill, and when they grew roots, she would plant them in pots and give them as gifts to her friends. It was as normal to have plants in my home as it was to have furniture, and it was equally normal to have plants on my patio and in my backyard garden. It was only later in life that I started to understand the spiritual meaning of plants. I learned about the importance of plants in feng shui and that talking to plants and playing jazz or classical music from 1-3 hours a day helps them grow better. Then research started to appear on the benefits of being around plants, like reduced stress, accelerated healing, and improved relationships, compassion, concentration, and memory. Flowers make us feel happier, secure, and relaxed. The positive energy emitted from plants and flowers improves people's moods and helps prevent stress-related depression. There are also numerous benefits to having beautiful gardens in neighborhoods, like reduced crime and improved cohesiveness in the community. Even landscaping medians improve traffic safety and uplift the attitudes of drivers. Indigenous peoples have always known that plants possess a spirit essence that communicates through light, sound, and vibration. My guest works with plant consciousness to bring balance and healing by engaging our heart, soul, and spirit. Please join us Thursday to learn how plant spirits offer a guide to our spiritual evolution, which is necessary for the healing of humans and the healing of the earth.

The timing of this conversation couldn't have been more perfect. After living eight months on the island of Kauai and deepening my connection to the Earth and plant spirit world, I had the opportunity to sit down with writer, teacher, and earth intuitive, Asia Suler. I had just had my first dream of the island after returning to the mainland, where I greeted the ocean and it greeted me back with a big splash on my hand. I could truly feel the sentience of the plants and the land in the dream that I had been in such close relationship with. Have you ever experienced anything like this? Feeling the aliveness of everything around you? Communicating with the unseen realms? In this episode Asia shares her own journey of communication with the Earth and spirits of the plants. She shares about their message of self-compassion and how they work through us on behalf of our evolvement and healing. In this episode we discussed: What is earth intuition? I'm excited to introduce this week's guest, Suneet Kaur. I’ve known Suneet for about ten years now, and I’ve always had massive respect for her work. She was my teacher for the Plant Spirit Healing Apprenticeship I completed in 2019, and I hope to learn from her again in the future. In this week’s episode, we talk about plant spirit healing: what are plant spirits, and how they can help us with our healing and personal growth. About Suneet Suneet is a trained and initiated Shamanic Practitioner. She is also a Plant Spirit Healer, Usui Reiki Master Teacher and Student Medical Herbalist. Suneet was born with the psychic abilities to see, hear, know and feel things beyond our five senses and had many psychic experiences from very early childhood. As Suneet got older she found a deep faith in God and walked with Spirit by her side for many years before life events led to her coming out of the 'psychic closet'. These events opened up a deep desire to help others and be in Service to the Divine, God, Great Spirit. This led her to setting up her practice Divine Souls in 2013 and she began offering Healing and Readings. Once she began her practice, Suneet very quickly found herself hurtling down the Shamanic Path with a very firm boot in her back from Spirit. On this path of profound personal healing and rebirth, Suneet fell in love with the Plant Kingdom. She began studying with different teachers to learn, heal and explore the wise healing magic of working with Plant Spirits. Suneet now teaches how to work with Plant Spirits for personal healing or to become a practitioner, she holds Plant Spirit Ceremonies and Initiations for those who would like to explore their own relationship with the Plant Kingdom. This is the main focus of her work. Suneet is particularly passionate about UK native and non psychoactive plant spirit medicines as a way to heal and is currently studying to become a Medical Herbalist. I worked in the restaurant industry until COVID, and 7 months into my furlough, I found Plant Spirit Healing by Pam Montgomery on my shelf (it was one of those books that I had bought and just never read). By the third chapter, I had begun researching herbalism, and after an overwhelming amount of information + options, the universe aligned me with your school. I enrolled, and a month later I officially quit my restaurant job, and last week I started working on a small farm in Bellville, where my focus will be the herb garden + greenhouse. I cannot thank you enough for the knowledge and time that you’ve put into your courses, and just your life’s work in general. Everything that has happened in my life since discovering herbalism + you + your school feels like it’s been divinely guided. So, thank you thank you thank you. You are the coolest, and I am forever grateful."
We made it to our final episode of Season 3 in this wild ride of 2020! Remember, we all came here to be a part of this planetary shift. Let's keep helping each other get through! In this episode we speak with Michael Thornhill who does powerful spiritual work (along with his wife Jamie) both with Mother Earth and with our Galactic friends & family at their healing center, Casa Galactica in Peru. Michael is passionate about plant spirit healing, galactic channeling & healing, and about teaching others to channel as well. Topics covered in this episode: * What is the Shipibo tradition? * How trauma informed care clears blockages to love & opens the door to greater spiritual awareness. * Michael's shares about his own healing journey, which enabled him to create safe space for others to heal their deep trauma. * What events led up to him living in Peru? * How their healing retreats get to the root of an issue, rather than treating symptoms. * How exactly does one do healing work and communicate with Noya Rao, the enlightened tree? * The beautiful way he combines the often dualistic plant spirit path with the understanding from the galactic messages to create a non-dualistic blended spiritual path. * The challenges and persistence that finally resulted in him learning to channel, which gave him tools to now teach others channeling. * Michael channeled messages from the Pleiadians in answer to our questions. * How do we hold both the experience of extreme polarity on Earth while also maintaining awareness of the Oneness? * The value of unplugging from the Matrix & tuning into our hearts during this time of misinformation. * What is galactic healing? How does it work? Michael Thornhill, co-founder & Curandero with Casa Galactica, Channeling + Plant Spirit Healing in Peru. Casa Galactica provides trauma-informed Ayahuasca Plant Spirit Healing Retreats, Noya Rao Initiation Dietas, as well as online sessions and courses to help activate your intuition, empower your healing, connect with plants and receive channeled guidance. Micheal is trained in the Noya Rao lineage of the Shipibo tradition of curanderismo. Noya Rao is an enlightened tree of unconditional love, light and truth, and is his main teacher. As we navigate through our changing times, many of us are experiencing grief. Some of what we grieve we can name and recognize, perhaps we grieve the loss of connection, the absence of touch, the loss of work, the destruction of Nature, the passing of our Loved ones, or the life paths we’ve taken. There may be other times when we feel grief or perhaps sadness or anger and are unable to identify their roots. At these times, we may be tapping into the collective grief. Grief is a powerful, transformative experience that is essential to experiencing a full life. As Martín Prechtel writes in The Smell of Rain on Dust: “If we do not grieve what we miss, we are not praising what we love. We are not praising the life we have been given in order to love. If we do not praise whom we miss, we are ourselves in some way dead. So grief and praise make us alive.” And yet in our dominant culture, grief is often considered a weakness and something to pass through quickly, resulting in numbing and other coping mechanisms to help us deny our true feelings. If we want to live full, vibrant lives and particularly if we want to be co-creative partners with Nature, we are compelled to identify and heal our grief. Fortunately, the plants are willing to guide and support us through this process.Join O.N.E. Visioning Council members, Pam Montgomery and Jen Frey, as they delve into the depths of grief, sharing its beautiful and powerful role in our lives as well as Plant Allies who help us navigate through grief.Pam Montgomery is an author, teacher, and practitioner who has passionately embraced her role as a spokesperson for the green beings and has been investigating plants/trees and their intelligent spiritual nature for more than three decades. I thought ceremonial cacao was a fad, a new way of marketing chocolate, a trend that would bloom and fade. Until I participated in a life changing cacao ceremony, which helped me shift long held patterns of relating that were holding me back. Fast forward to earlier this year, when I met the fellow fairy and cacao practitioner Laura Durban of @kakaozauber for a shamanic drum building workshop. Fueled by this real life connection, we decided record a conversation about our personal stories with mama cacao, and why it's way more than unsweetened hot cocoa. If the taste of cacao ends up lingering on your lips after this episode, and you would like to try it out for yourself, Laura is creating a special guided heart meditation for our [Patrons](https://www.patreon.com/floweringsherose) (rosebud level and up), which you can listen to during your own cacao ritual. In case you were wondering, Laura's two favorite sources of ceremonial cacao (which she is not being paid for recommending ;)) are [Cacao Love](http://www.cacaolove.net)'s cacao from Peru and [Keith's cacao](https://www.keithscacao.com) from Guatemala. This is a vulnerable and very personal story of how a plant friend recently stepped in to create a bridge of communication between me and my mother, who died three years ago. It was an unexpected and super meaningful healing message for me, and I switched my podcast release schedule around to share this story. Real magic happens when we cultivate relationships with plants and stay open to messages from the multiverse y'all. I also talk about synchronicity, dealing with overwhelming grief, and how we can heal with a plant even when it is not physically present in our space or in our body. Also I cry a lot.
