Now that we are smack dab in the middle of the RHONY reunion and Production is allegedly looking for new RHIONY cast members, we deep dive whether Brynn Whitfield will be fired and who else from the cast is likely to have to turn in their apple when the dust settles from this season. Kyle and Dorit's friendship remains fractured but is it forever beyond repair? Who is more to blame and will Erika be able to remain neutral with no battle scares or will she have to, soon, choose a side? Whose side would EJ choose? Almost every friendship has been fractured thanks to Heather Gay and a series of text messages on RHOSLC despite a reunion that attempted to mend some of these fences. Production prepares to announce the new cast of RHOSLC as filming is expected to begin later this month. Finally, last but not least, Spencer and Heidi face certain challenges as all is not as it seems in the hills, no pun intended, as Speidi tries to rebuild their lives more so in the public eye in the past month than they have been over the last decade combined. It's a year that, thanks to George Orwell, had been in the public consciousness for decades. But when it finally came around, 1984 ended up being memorable for many different reasons... Today, we look back on the movies, TV shows, cartoons, music, tech, and sports that made up a pretty remarkable year. It's a year that featured some of the biggest movies of the decade, an era-defning album, a few beloved cartoon shows, and one of the biggest sports spectacles of the 20th Century. But Orwell's dystopian vision did make an appearnace--it just happened to be in one of the most important commercials in the history of advertising. Let's go back four decades and revisit 1984... The Century is 22 and our episode number is 22, featuring 2 of the usual 4 hosts! A rather laid-back episode, so take it easy with the boys on this one!In this episode, John and Paolo cover the recent endeavours of Pop Culture icons Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott, the Kardashians in general and the excellency of modern hip hop leaders. They then move into usual Aftermath Podcast film theorycrafting and analysis. Thought Kylie and Travis were still together? They've got a new kid on the way though right? What's going on? John has all the answers as Paolo asks the hard questions. The conversation then takes a rather insightful turn, we ask the question if Kim Kardashian devised the ultimate modern celebrity blueprint. Is part of that blueprint to deliver an actual product, or to deliver an aesthetic or vibe? Or are those two things part of one essential package the modern entertainment sphere demands? Perhaps Kanye knows… because one thing's for sure “Black Skinhead” went hard and changed the game. One game yet to change is America's juridical system that favours one of the parents during a split, if anyone's seen Noah Baumbach's Marriage Story, you'll know about this. It's one of the reasons we couldn't find ourselves supporting Kim alongside Kanye during the split, we even tried watching Keeping Up With The Kardashians to see if we could understand! In the end, the children suffer a lot from these splits, as if modern teens didn't have enough problems of their own. A viewing of HBO MAX and BINGE's Euphoria delivers that message in a surreal yet vivid way. What have you been watching? Do these issues cross your mind? Pol’ Atteu and Patrik Simpson step Behind The Rope. Just two simple Beverly Hills boys, P2 stop by to discuss it all. Having originally met in New York City, it was love at first sight, long distance ensued, they made it work, and here we are. Of course, their family isn’t complete without Snow White 90201, their Mimi Maltese. She joins us for the chat. Their Pol Atteu Boutique in Beverly Hills is frequented by Sharon Shone, Bella Thorne, Ariel Winter, and Laverne Cox and last, but certainly not least, Betty White. It was an incident with Betty White that gave Patrik and Pol the idea to turn this into a TV show. Voila, Gown and Out in Beverly Hills. Season One on Amazon, Season Two Coming Soon. Like any smart designer, the boys have pivoted and from dresses to masks. Not just any masks, but fashion forward masks worn by everyone from Real Housewives such as Kyle Richards, Adrienne Maloof, Kelly Dodd, Gretchen Rossi, Joyce Giraud, Claudia Jordan and Emily Simpson to VanderKids Scheana Shay and James Kennedy to Pop Culture Icons like LaToya Jackson and Perez Hilton. They also share their wish list for who they would love to dress. Fingers crossed. On a more serious note, Pol also opens up about being the victim of a hate crime at one of his Fashion Show's in the past. Pour yourself a drink and enjoy this real and honest sit down with Pol and Patrik.** Pol and Patrik’s Pol’ Atteu Boutique in Beverly Hills has been destroyed by the riots that took place earlier this year in Beverly Hills. Ideas That Make An Impact: Expert and Author Interviews to transform your life and business
3 big ideas discussed in this episode: Superheroes, although fictional, demonstrate amazing leadership qualities. We can learn tons, leadership wise, from Superman, Optimus Prime, and Captain America (to name just a few). There are two types of leadership lanes: those who grew up with leaders around them and wanted to model them because they got a taste firsthand. Those who severely lacked leadership growing up and who hungered for solid leadership and direction and who sought it out relentlessly. I am a product of the latter. People who buy comic books are, consciously or not, seeking to be empowered. They admire those characters and wish they could be like them. The demographics of comic book buyers point, generally, to those who were not necessarily favored with good leadership models growing up (think absent or neglectful fathers). Bottom line: Comic book buyers are often in want of leadership and / or solid role models - like I was growing up. To Connect with BIG Thinkers and Hear More BIG Ideas: http://TheBookDistrict.com
