Who her Authentic Self Program is for and how it's broken down into three modules over 9 months. The importance of really investing yourself and committing to doing the inner work for long periods of time rather than just relying on a quick fix to get you there. Her own inner work process including letting go of the past, negative thoughts, struggles, and toxic emotions. Why we struggle so much with the process of feeling our emotions, experiencing them, and finally letting them go. Her experience with plant medicine and how it has helped her surrender her struggles and emotions in order to connect to something bigger than herself. The fact that plant medicines and psychedelics have come so far in helping people heal and yet this concept is still so new for the American society. How the brain is naturally wired to have a neural network that was established when we were in our mid to late teens and how you can differentiate yourself from who you were then to who you are now. Why experiencing HALT - Hungry, Lonely, Angry, Tired will keep us from moving forward and letting go of old thoughts, struggles, and emotions. The power of getting a good night's sleep to help you show up strong in the world the next day. What helped her realize she needed to hit the pause button and incorporate more stillness in her life.  How you can create and cultivate stillness in just a single breath when you have a busy schedule to keep up with.  Why getting into your body and moving when you're in a shame spiral can be extremely beneficial to take action and move forward from negative thoughts. Her own experiences with low-frequency vibrations including shame. Power Quotes From The Show "Exploring your authenticity is how you get into alignment and to another place where you're at home with yourself. When you are authentically you, you are not constantly fighting yourself anymore." - Vanessa Lambert Accepting Your Unique Self "I was fighting this idea of who I should be rather than who I really am. I was fighting the vision of who I thought I was supposed to become, the world I was supposed to live in, and what I was supposed to represent rather than just being me. A lot of us are going through that same struggle of having a duality of which version is really us and which version are we going to commit to being." - Vanessa Lambert   A Commitment For Positive Change "We're all super addicted to quick fixes but to make real change, you have to commit to the process, practice, and follow it for a while. This isn't just a 21-day fix, this is about really digging deep to uncover your authentic self." - Vanessa Lambert   Love Is The Answer "Love is the answer. At the end of the day, we get to reconnect with love in whatever way that helps us have deeper respect, a better relationship, and hone our skill with love because it is a skill. Love is granted to everyone but we don't necessarily feel that way about it all the time and it really is a skill to understand how to cultivate it, express it, and work with the pattern of love in our lives. For me, being a human and being in the human experience is really about understanding how to come into oneness with love." - Vanessa Lambert   Your Soul Contract "Your soul has a contract with what it wants to work on within this lifetime and you're definitely put into a path of opportunity to explore the things that will give your soul a deeper and richer experience of itself but I think it all comes back to love. It seems so simple and easy but that's it; it all comes back to that essence of love." - Vanessa Lambert   Links From Today's Show Organifi OURA Berkeley Psychic Institute Mark Victor Hansen Zig Ziglar Katie Cordoza Glen Cordoza Be Here Now by Ram Dass Rythmia Graham Hancock Awakened Futures Summit 2019 Tim Chang Mikey Seigel It Starts With Food by Melissa and Dallas Hartwig Letting Go: The Pathway of Surrender by Dr. David R. As a promising young gymnast, her coach asked if she would instruct the introductory classes at her gym. Her natural love of the movement was only deepened by sharing it with others. There began her basis of learning to coach and her understanding of the unique importance of the teacher-student relationship. No stranger to competitive sport, Vanessa played soccer, basketball, swam competitively, and was also co-captain of her cheerleading squad. A Natural Coach In her early 20’s she moved to Maui to improve her surfing practice and became one of the first female surf instructors in the Hawaiian islands and a true force in the water. She and Adam were also an integral part of the CrossFit NorCal team that took third place in the affiliate games in 2009. Throughout her life, she continued to evolve her diet in order to better fuel her performance and her busy schedule. In fact, Vanessa had already embraced the Paleo diet when she began training with Robb Wolf as a client. She had seen the dramatic benefits of doing so and was delighted to find out that not only did her coach agree, but he was one of the thought leaders on the subject. The Start of Bee The Wellness It would be her years at Norcal Strength and Conditioning training under the tutelage of Robb and his wife Nicki, that her ancestral wellness practice would deepen. After relocating to Los Angeles to pursue her music career, Vanessa was introduced to Mark Sisson. Working closely with Mark at the Primal Blueprint headquarters over the last four years, Vanessa developed the personal coaching program, Primal’s luxury retreat vacations, and has become a staple at the PrimalCon events where she and Adam coach the fundamentals of weightlifting and gymnastics. Vanessa feels truly blessed for having worked with the best and the brightest in the ancestral health world. This experience is what motivated her to co-create the Bee The Wellness program with her husband Adam. These days, her focus is to help as many people as possible become the very best version of themselves.     Bee The Wellness Meditation Challenge Featuring Vanessa Lambert Click here to download theBee The Wellness Meditation Challenge Featuring Vanessa Lambert At Bee The Wellness we believe that, as part of a holistic wellness plan, we should integrate and expand our mindfulness practice. Esther Gokhale (Go-clay) has been involved in integrative therapies all her life. As a young girl growing up in India, she helped her mother, a nurse, treat abandoned babies waiting to be adopted. This early interest in healing led her to study biochemistry at Harvard and Princeton and, later, acupuncture at the San Francisco School of Oriental Medicine. After experiencing crippling back pain during her first pregnancy and unsuccessful back surgery, Gokhale began her lifelong crusade to vanquish back pain. Her studies at the Aplomb® Institute in Paris and years of research in Brazil, India, Portugal and elsewhere led her to develop the Gokhale Method, a unique, systematic approach to help people find their bodies’ way back to pain-free living. Gokhale practiced acupuncture and taught posture, dance, and yoga in her Palo Alto wellness center for over twenty years. The Gokhale Method continues to grow as qualified Gokhale Method teachers now teach the method worldwide. Gokhale's book, 8 Steps to a Pain-Free Back, has sold over 100,000 copies and has been translated into eight languages. In 2010, Gokhale hosted the nationally televised program Back Pain: The Primal Posture Solution (available on DVD). Gokhale has taught at corporations such as Google, IDEO, Varian Medical Systems, and Facebook Inc. She has also presented at conferences including TEDx(Stanford), Ancestral Health Symposium, Weston Price Foundation Conference, and PrimalCon.  She continues to speak with physician groups including Stanford, PAMF, UCSF and has consulted for the trainers of the SF 49ers and several Stanford sports teams. In May 2013, The New York Times featured Esther in an article giving her the title, “The Posture Guru of Silicon Valley”. Esther Gokhale lives on Stanford University campus where she raised three children with her husband Brian White, chairman of the Math Department. Please leave us a review at http://openskyfitness.com/review Living the Primal Blueprint Lifestyle On this week's episode of the Open Sky Fitness Podcast, the incredible and inspirational Mark Sisson joined us to share his personal stories around health and wellness plus advice on living healthy through Primal Blueprint. Mark is the originator of the Primal Blueprint, best-selling author of several books including The New Primal Blueprint and Primal Endurance, founder and blogger of Mark's Daily Apple, and creator of Primal Kitchen and the latest Primal Kitchen Restaurant chain. I had such a great conversation with him and he answered quite a few of the questions that some of our members of the closed Open Sky Fitness Facebook group had for him. We talked about nutrition, fitness, endurance training, and the growth of Mark's various businesses and projects.   What's the Difference Between Primal and Paleo Diets?   "You don't have to be Celiac to have grains negatively impact your health. People's lives can dramatically change when they cut out the sugars, the grains, and the industrial seed oils. Their inflammation goes down, they lose weight, and they can get off their medications." - Mark Sisson on the power of cutting out unhealthy foods from our diets.    Primal and Paleo diets seem to be converging, but there are still some differences between the two. According to Mark, Paleo seems to be more restrictive compared to Primal. The Primal diet is friendlier as it allows: Some dairy products Ghee Grass-fed cow products Raw milk Certain cheeses Wine and other alcohol Some saturated fats are okay     First Steps to Eating Healthy   "The first step to eating healthier is to recognize that sugar is just really toxic. The less sugar we can consume in a lifetime, the better off we'll be in the long end." - Mark Sisson     To begin to eat healthier, the best thing you can cut from your diet are artificial sugars that are hidden in various foods and drinks such as: Sweetened tea Smoothies from fast foods places like Jamba Juice Refined carbohydrates in processed foods Industrial seed oils: Corn oil Soybean oil Canola oil   Endurance vs Sprint: What's the Best Way to Get in Shape? It might seem rational that the longer you work out for, the more weight you'll burn, correct? Not likely. According to Mark, long-distance training is not the best way to manage your weight and it can actually harm your joints because you're doing a repetitive movement for such a long time. Because workouts like HIIT and sprinting are such explosive actions that easily help you get your heart rate up, your body experiences enough acute stress that you end up building muscle and losing weight.  This doesn't make that you have to give up endurance training as your go-to workout, it just mains that make you should mix up your workout to include more HIIT or sprints to help avoid injury or chronic stress.   About Mark Sisson Health and fitness expert Mark Sisson is the bestselling author of The Primal Blueprint and several other Primal Blueprint-branded books, and one of the leading voices of the burgeoning Evolutionary Health Movement. His blog, MarksDailyApple.com, has paved the way for Primal enthusiasts to challenge conventional wisdom's diet and exercise principles and take personal responsibility for their health and well-being. From its humble - and controversial - beginnings in 2006, Mark's Daily Apple has grown into one of the highest-ranked health information resources on the Internet, with some 3 million unique visitors each month. Mark, 62, has a BA in biology from Williams College and is a former world-class endurance athlete, with a 2:18 marathon and a fourth-place finish in the Hawaii Ironman World Triathlon Championships to his credit. Today, Mark directs his competitive energies into high-stakes Ultimate Frisbee tournaments against competitors decades younger. Rediscover Your Intuition Through Primal Living:  Is our modern environment taking a too large of a toll on our physical, emotional, and mental health? Has the digital age led us to lose our primal intuition? JOIN THE FACEBOOK GROUP | REVIEW THIS PODCAST Are we relying on technology too much to the point that we need data to tell us whether or not we've slept well, exercised enough, or become relaxed? From a young age, health and fitness expert, author, and founder of  both Primal Blueprint and Primal Kitchen, Mark Sisson of Mark's Daily Apple, has spent his life actively seeking information to help people live a long, healthy life. Today on Wellness Force Radio, he's sharing what it means to follow a primal life, an insight look into his upcoming book, Go Keto, and how to follow the Ten Guidelines of the Primal Blueprint Ethos. Just because there's an app for anything and everything, it doesn't mean that we have to solely rely on technology to help us improve our mind, body, and emotional wellness. After all, our primal ancestors never had to rely on an app to help them survive so why should we? As humans, it's in our nature to know, intuitively, exactly what we need. Whether it be nutrition, fitness, or sleep, our intuition knows what's best for us. Paleo f(x) In our modern and tech-focused society, this episode could not come at a better time. If you're like me, you've been using technology more and more every day for your wellness, health and fitness, and also online through social media to connect with people. But in this world of online likes, shares, and facebook friends as well as conscious health tracking through wearables, a bigger question arises: have we lost touch with our most primal selves, the part of us that intuitively knows exactly how to form real, face to face personal connections, and in our ways of eating, moving, and sleeping for a life of wellness? Today on the podcast, we're answering these questions and learning about how to create and sustain a primal lifestyle in this modern world from health and fitness expert, Mark Sisson. Get ready for an in-depth and thought-provoking conversation with one of the most popular and profound influencers in our wellness world where we dive into topics like carbohydrate intake, fat adaptation, gene signaling and epigenetics, as well as Mark's personal ethos and story about how he overcame his own health issues to found Mark's Daily Apple, Primal Blueprint, and Primal Kitchen. Listen to Episode 112 as Mark Uncovers: Mark's journey and mission to live a healthy life from an early age. Why Mark began to eat a high-complex carbohydrate diet based on the books he was reading around the late 1960s, early 1970s and how that negatively affected his body. How our own, personal intuition can help us create a sense of where our health needs to be at. What skills we can use to help us curb our triggers to not over-eat when there is an abundance of food, but we're not even that hungry. How we know whether or not we're following the primal living path. The benefit of primal living and listening to our intuition compared to the guilt we can feel from app data results. Mark's Ten Guidelines of the Primal Blueprint Ethos: Eat lots of animals, insects and plants Move around a lot at a slow pace Lift heavy objects Sprint once in a while Get plenty of sleep Play often Get plenty of sunlight Avoid trauma and silly mistakes Avoid poisonous things like added sugar Use your brain How scientists are using research about our ancestral genes to look at how different genes are affected by variables. Why our modern environment is taking a toll on our bodies without us even realizing it. What are epigentic studies and which variables can turn on the bad genetics in our bodies? Why 'good' and 'bad' genes are a myth. How inflammation can actually be a good thing for our bodies sometimes. Great workouts to do on the go when you have long working hours or are traveling. What Mark does to help him sleep better when he travels to different time zones. How Mark uses intermittent fasting to his advantage when traveling. What it's like to start following the Primal Blueprint and begin burning fat rather than sugar. Why it only takes 21 days to create a change in how you eat and burn food. What's the typical carbohydrate intake for the Ketogenic diet, weight loss, or effortless weight maintenance? How to prepare your body to follow the Ketogenic Diet and why Mark uses any resource from Dominic D'Agostino as a reference. For a beginner, how often should they be fasting per month? How Mark's upcoming book, Go Keto, will teach us how to becoming intuitive with ourselves and prepare for the Ketogenic Diet. The main differences between the Paleo and Primal ways of eating and living. What Mark has learned from his wife, Carrie, about emotional intelligence and wellness. How Primal Kitchen got its start as a new business for Mark. What's included in the famous Primal Kitchen Mayo recipe. Why coconut butter is a great go-to snack when you're feeling stressed. What Mark plans to talk about at the upcoming 2017 Paleo f(x) event. Top 3 Takeaways From The Show Wellness is not necessarily all about physical health. As Mark explains, wellness is about having a positive mindset and living in the moment. When we stop focusing on the past, we can fully feel contentment and joy. The benefits and facts around Primal, Paleo, Keto, and intermittent fasting. There is no such thing as 'bad' or 'good' genetics. Our genetics are turned on or off by different variables in order to help our bodies survive. Power Quotes From Mark Sisson [tweetthis] "Primal living allows you to develop the skills you need to get in touch with your body and  emotions." - @Mark_Sisson [/tweetthis] "I may have looked fit on the outside, but I was falling apart in the inside. There was this inflammation that was gathering and building inside my body. I had osteoarthritis in my feet, tendinitis in my hips, and even irritable bowl syndrome (IBS) which pretty much dictated my life. I began this diet to be healthy, but all of a sudden, I was at the unhealthiest point of my life. I had no idea about what was going with my body." - Mark Sisson on his personal experience with the negative impact of following high complex carbohydrate diet.  "It fascinates me that there are now 35 different wearable devices that tell you how poorly you slept last night, but there's nothing out there to really address the problem. I try to create an intuitive sense about my body's needs and I try to coach people to do the same." - Mark Sisson on the power of intuitive sense to help us understand our minds and bodies to make beneficial changes for our health.  "Primal living means that you've dialed into several different aspects of your life so that you don't have to stop and ask a device, "What do I do now?" You get to the point when you know what to do and what choices to make. Your intuitive decision making process is going to serve you in that moment and in the best way possible." - Mark Sisson on what primal living means and how our intuitive sense can help us make the best decisions about our health.  "Primal living allows you to develop the skills you need to be in touch with your body, emotions, and everything that draws us in to enjoy life." - Mark Sisson on the benefits of primal living. "I don't want to ascribe genes as being 'good' or 'bad.' Genes are just doing what they're told to do. When you develop Type 2 Diabetes, that's not because of 'bad genetics. That happens because your human genes are addressing a problem that you've created with your eating and moving habits. Your body is just trying to prevent you from dying too soon from too much sugar." - Mark Sisson on why we shouldn't categorize genes as being 'good' or 'bad.' "The Paleo and Primal diets are converging. Initially, the Paleo Diet was only a diet that looked at no dairy, alcohol, very low unsaturated fats, and was fairly restrictive. When I came up with the Primal Blueprint, I wanted to create a place where people could go and not feel excluded, but invited. So we included as many foods that made sense so we don't exclude dairy like cream, butter, artisanal cheese, and even whole milk for some people. Paleo has always been about the diet, but Primal includes the entire lifestyle." - Mark Sisson on the difference between the Primal Blueprint and Paleo Diets and lifestyles.  "Thoughts are just thoughts and they're not reality. What we worry or agonize about only exists in our minds as imagination. My wife, Carrie, keeps reminding me that when I let those thoughts dictate how I feel in the present moment, they actually take me out of the present moment." - Mark Sisson on what he's learned from his wife, Carrie, about emotional wellness and intelligence.  "Wellness is more of a state of mind than a physical presence. Wellness is this feeling of serenity and peace, but also the ability to not be caught up in feelings of worry, anger, or angst. Wellness is not about re-thinking about previous decisions or past mistakes. It's about being in the present moment and therefore being able to extract the greatest amount of contentment, joy, and fulfillment from now." - Mark Sisson on what wellness means to him.  About Mark Sisson Health and fitness expert Mark Sisson is the bestselling author of The Primal Blueprint and several other Primal Blueprint-branded books, and one of the leading voices of the burgeoning Evolutionary Health Movement. Devon was not feeling too well to record the podcast this week with me so we will be taking a break from November Nutrition Month, but we hope to continue on with it next week! Talk about health and fitness with us! Join us in discussing, health, fitness, nutrition and motivation tactics on the Open Sky Fitness Podcast Facebook Group. It's a great group to talk with other people about health, share tips, and encourage each other to keep living a healthy lifestyle.   Good Posture 101 This week, the Posture Guru of Silicone Valley aka Esther Gokhale of the Gokhale Method, joined myself to talk about the importance of good posture.  Have you ever wondered how you can improve your back's posture at your desk or whether a standing desk would be better for you? Esther answered a ton of our questions and gave us some good, basic stretches to begin our way to healthier and stronger bodies.  Primal Posture vs. Posture Today Unlike today, our primal ancestors were living a certain lifestyle by hunting and gathering each day. Overtime, they developed specific movements and postures fit for that lifestyle. Now, times have changed and today we're doing different things with our bodies by sitting at a computer desk rather than squatting and bending over to do different activities like picking up sticks for firewood. We've lost a lot of kinesthetic wisdom in first world cultures. Yet there are many cultures out there, especially in Africa, that continue to teach younger generations how to hold their posture as far as how to hold babies, work in the fields to grow and gather crops, lying down to sleep, bending over to cook etc. All of this without fatiguing themselves and running out of breath when we're having difficulties simply bringing groceries from the car into the kitchen.  Keep in mind, learning how to have good posture is not that simple. As Esther put it, just like a language, good posture takes time and practice to learn. In order to see great improvement in your posture, hans-on assistance and coaching is usually necessary.     What's Better? A Sitting Chair or  a Standing Desk? Both are good because we need change throughout the day, but we also need plenty of rest. If you find yourself standing all day (like older generations did when they worked and stood in factories), you will have many back and muscle pains from your poor posture.  Compared to standing, sitting also helps a person have deeper thoughts and better motor skills.   Improve Shoulder Posture Esther's tips for good shoulder posture: One at a time, bring one shoulder forward a little bit.  Bring your shoulder up a little bit. Move your shoulder back and relax. Repeat with the other shoulder. You will experience better circulation, breathing, and feel more comfortable overall after doing this simple exercise.  How to do Stretchsitting Sit with your bum back in the seat. Hinge away from the back rest. Lengthen your back with a crunch by folding your rib cage forward. Maintain your forward fold while slowly using your hands to push your top half and lengthen more (push on arm rest if they're there). Hinge back towards the back rest (use a towel or the Gokhale Method chair) to help stick/hook yourself to the back of the chair. Relax and your weight will be attached to the towel and you will have traction against the chair. Feel free to do a shoulder roll afterwards. You're done! Stretch sitting can be done anywhere and at anytime. Mix things up by standing up, walking around, or do some other light stretching from time to time (every 20-30 minutes).       About Esther Gokhale Esther Gokhale (Go-clay) has been involved in integrative therapies all her life. Start Building Your Own Workouts and Meal Plan! As an athlete, author, and blogger, Mark Sisson has an impressive track record in several fields. He is the best-selling author of The Primal Blueprint and The Primal Blueprint 21-Day Total Body Transformation, and his site, Mark’s Daily Apple, which offers tips and advice for “primal living in the modern world,” boasts 1.6 million unique visitors each month. On the athletic side, he is a former world-class endurance athlete with an impressive 2:18 marathon time. Equally impressive is his fourth-place finish in the Hawaii Ironman Triathlon. Even now, after his realizations about how excessive endurance training can lead to health problems, he likes to stay active through high-stakes ultimate frisbee tournaments. When he isn’t staying physically active, he runs Primal Blueprint Transformation seminars and Primalcon retreats. He is also the founder of Primal Nutrition, a company devoted to providing health education and designing state-of-the-art supplements. Find out more about Mark here:@Mark_Sisson on TwitterMark’s Daily AppleMark’s Daily Apple on Facebook In this episode: [02:01] - Mark talks about the physical effects of endurance training. Some amount is positive, he tells us, but beyond a certain point, too much endurance training can have a negative physical effect. [05:16] - After experiencing health issues and seeing them appear in his friends, Mark started to look at how endurance training impacts the body. [06:53] - What is the solution to the question of finding a balance of training enough but not too much? [11:37] - Mark explains his views on caloric restriction. He doesn’t believe that calories need to be restricted as much as glucose. [18:06] - Our host, Stephan, asks Mark if he’s off sugar completely. Fortunately for listeners with a sweet tooth, Mark still consumes sugar, and explains how he views moderate sugar consumption. [19:24] - Sugar has a profound impact on the immune system. We learn just how much of an impact it can make--not only on colds and the flu but even possibly on cancer. [20:37] - We learn about Mark’s thoughts on the books Grain Brain by David Perlmutter and Wheat Belly by Dr. William Davis, as well as his perspective on eating grains. [23:42] - Mark offers a spectrum of grains, revealing which are worse than others. [24:38] - Mark talks about vegetarian-eating strategies in the context of minimizing grain consumption. [26:15] - We learn more about Mark’s eating schedule. He tends to eat all his calories within a compressed period of around 6 hours per day but prefers to reserve the term “intermittent fasting” for periods of at least 24 hours without eating. [28:02] - Mark gives a scenario about cell divisions in relation to longevity and diet. [30:50] - Instead of planning fasts, Mark may decide to fast for a day if he realizes he has already skipped breakfast and lunch, and isn’t hungry for dinner. [36:08] - Mark dislikes the BMI concept, and he explains why: it turns out his own BMI says that he’s borderline overweight because of his muscle density. [38:36] - Since BMI is not a good metric, what would be better? Mark says that body fat percentage is the best metric. [41:38] - What should listeners pay most attention to in their blood work results? [43:03] - Stephan asks Mark what he thinks of being super oxygenated. Mark answers that he isn’t a biohacker and is more interested in intuitive methods for the average citizen. [44:35] - Mark tells us what the best strategy for building muscle mass is. [48:38] - Stephan asks Mark about the difference between primal and paleo diets. We learn what the differences are but also how the two diets are getting closer together. [50:24] - Is there a way to undo damage to the body? [51:46] - How should people start following Mark’s advice? His books are one option, but all the information he has to offer is also on his site for free. Host Brad Kearns joins firefighter and PrimalCon legend, Chris Adams, to talk about the stresses of shift work and sleep disruption, as well as how he helped Arizona firefighter academy students dramatically improve their performance by emphasizing aerobic exercise instead of stressful, higher intensity cardio training. Chris and his partner Tina Leaman (Primal Blueprint audio engineer, who produces all podcasts and audiobooks) have the distinction of attending all nine PrimalCon events around the world from 2010-2014. They served as group and staff leaders to ensure guests had a fabulous time. Working in high stress environments that involve sleep disruptions can be a real health challenge, and also interfere with fitness progress. Chris, a devoted CrossFit athlete with superhuman strength and athleticism, learned the hard way about burnout when he combined a heavy CrossFit schedule with his night shift firefighting work and guaranteed sleep interruptions. Chris talks about expertly managing the Adrenalin rush that comes when the bell rings for emergencies, how to manage the common "compassion fatigue" that afflicts public servants, and how to respect the big picture instead of "compartmentalize stress," i.e., making workout decisions based on workout schedule, but not respecting the influence of your work schedule. Enjoy this informative conversation, especially if you deal with sleep disruption or are trying to balance enthusiastic workout goals with a challenging career. Learn how Chris helped fire academy students slow down and then deliver major peak performance breakthroughs on testing day.

Host Brad Kearns talks with Mike DiLandro of New Jersey, a Primal Blueprint success story and presenter of the Primal Transformation Seminar and at PrimalCon. Mike was also the very first graduate of the Primal Blueprint Expert Certification program. Mike discusses how he came to try out the Primal Blueprint after becoming frustrated that his chronic cardio approach (10 gym workouts each week!) didn't improve his body composition. After switching to a primal eating pattern and backing off the chronic cardio in favor of more intense workouts and more rest and recovery between intense workouts, Mike lost 25 pounds of excess body fat, ditched his statin medication and resolved his ongoing knee pain.Mike's enthusiasm inspired him to get his parents into primal living, off of their statin meds, and with a combined weight loss of 80 pounds. He also took his enthusiasm to his workplace, where he has inspired numerous co-workers to pursue Primal eating and writes a outstanding monthly newsletter to inform and inspire his following. Mike discusses how he built his knowledge base and confidence to eventually present the Primal Transformation Seminar at locations all over the east coast, and also conduct popular presentations at PrimalCon. Mike is a true evangelist and consensus builder for Primal living and has had an amazing impact on his friends, family and co-workers. This lively conversation will get you focused and inspired to spread the word like Mike!

Chris and Tina have attended all seven PrimalCons held, and list some of their highlights and humorous memories. Included are the Oxnard ocean plunge/jacuzzi sprint, where the resort jacuzzi (a 2 minute sprint from the chilly ocean) overflows beyond capacity; an impromptu Oxnard beach house party where 100 people danced the night away; the beautiful hike to Angora Lakes above Lake Tahoe; the amazing connections formed where strangers traveling from across the world become close friends and vacation together beyond PrimalCon; and the great work of presenter Angelo Dela Cruz, another 7 for 7 PrimalCon attendee, who starts each day off with his VitaMoves session and does 1:1 bodywork with guests to promote natural healing.Chris and Tina then detail their role as beta-testers for the Primal Blueprint Expert Certification course. They, along with Primal Transformation Seminar presenter Mike DiLandro, became the first three graduates of the course. They provided intensive feedback on the text material, making suggestions for additions and clarifications.
