Rumble has been shut off in Russia. What are Youtube, Facebook, and Twitter doing for Russia to keep from meeting the same fate as Rumble? It continues to be common among the elites to control the flow of information. Now, it's Putin's turn, although it;s not his first time doing this. But there's also this about Youtube: a Canadian court has greenlit a decision to allow a class action lawsuit against Youtube. They are being sued for their reporting on the Covid flu and the hiding of information. In fact, people like Chris Como are speaking out about the lies about Covid. You know, the very lies they helped spread. At the same time, we are learning the CDC tried to cover up the death of two teens, leading Professor Angus Dalgleish to speak out. A massive diplomatic uproar erupted in 2018 when Canada detained Huawei's chief financial officer Meng Wanzhou, who is also the daughter of the Chinese tech giant's founder, over an American warrant alleging fraud. The crisis intensified further as China, within days, arrested two Canadians — Michael Spavor and Michael Kovrig — on spying charges. The Western world rallied behind Canada as it alleged the arrests of the two Michaels were nothing but Chinese retaliation. However, a report in Canada's ‘Globe and Mail' has now quoted two sources to claim Spavor is seeking a multi-million dollar settlement from Ottawa over allegations he was “unwittingly” made an espionage agent. In Ep 1356 of Cut The Clutter, Editor-in-Chief Shekhar Gupta discusses key takeaways, including in light of Canadian allegations about India's role in Sikh radical Hardeep Singh Nijjar's killing. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sanjay Kumar Verma's Video Interview- CTV: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIID5QLahqY --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cut The Clutter (Episode 810, Published on August 11, 2021) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BEQDQI48gd4 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- China decries Canada's ‘hypocrisy' after Spavor blames Kovrig for their detention: https://www.theglobeandmail.com/world/article-michael-kovrig-spavor-canada-china-spying-intelligence/ --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Canada owes an apology to China and others deceived: Global Times editorial: https://www.globaltimes.cn/page/202311/1302196.shtml --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cooperating with US, but no ‘actionable info' received from Canada on Nijjar probe, says Indian envoy: https://theprint.in/diplomacy/cooperating-with-us-but-no-actionable-info-received-from-canada-on-nijjar-probe-says-indian-envoy/1862124/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In my latest Broncos pod presented by SuperBook Sports, I discuss the most humiliating regular-season loss in team history. The Broncos allowed 70 points, the most in an NFL game since 1966, as the Dolphins became the first team to produce five passing and rushing touchdowns. Will defensive coordinator Vance Joseph continue calling plays? Will senior defensive assistant Joe Vitt take over? And how does coach Sean Payton keep this team from checking out? We hear from the players and what it looks like moving forward. My pod is made possible by the great folks at Mile High Sports, RBJ Glass and Most Valuable Portraits Inc.

Republicans should have done better. With high inflation and an unpopular president, the stage was set for them to easily take back both chambers of Congress. Instead they look on track to barely capture the House, and the Senate is most likely to stay blue. Hung Le - Melbourne comedian legend! He was the first Asian comedian to perform in Australian comedy clubs and on TV, back in 1987, and he was very successful. In 1975, as a child, Hung and his family had to flee Vietnam when South Vietnam finally fell to North Vietnam. He is one of the first ‘boat people' and his story is incredible! I read his autobiography The Crappiest Refugee by Hung Le – an amazing story! Well worth reading. We talk about how he first started performing with a classical string quartet, The Como String Quartet, busking in the Bourke St. mall in Melbourne. He was the 3rd violinist, the 5thmember of a quartet, and he became the clown, the funny guy who interacted with the audience, danced with members of the audience, and made everyone laugh. In 1987 they entered Red Faces on Hey Hey It's Saturday Night, an incredibly popular live entertainment show on Channel 9 at the time, and they won! The Como String Quartet toured all over Australia and performed in Edinburgh and England. At their peak, the Como String Quartet performed on the Muppets! At the time, that was considered the highest privilege in show business. Hung went on to try solo stand up comedy in 1992, and has been working as a professional comedian ever since. He has had comedy shows in all of the festivals here in Australia year after year, as well as Edinburgh and Montreal. He has also performed live and on TV in Kenya, the Philippines, and other parts of Asia. His story is funny, sad, shocking, exhilarating, eye-opening, and educational. I feel very lucky to have had Hung tell me his story. I hope you get as much out of this conversation as I did.
Their album ...ish remains one of the all-time best-selling debuts in Australian music history, but no record company wanted to sign 1927. Lead singer Erik Weideman talks about putting that multi-platinum album together after he was spotted on Hey Hey It's Saturday talent quest Red Faces by former Moving Pictures member Garry Frost and how it was producer Charles Fisher who took a chance on the pop/rock quartet. While the music industry might have been unsure about 1927, the Australian public weren't, with hit after hit being lifted from ...ish. Erik talks about songs like "That's When I Think Of You", "If I Could" and "Compulsory Hero", and shares his disbelief when Garry decided to quit the band while they were working on their follow-up album. Although not as commercially successful, second album The Other Side was another enjoyable experience for Erik, notwithstanding the line-up change, but the singer explains why 1927's self-titled third album did not go so well and what led to the ultimate demise of the band in the mid-'90s.

Cameron Semmens is the author of twenty one books. Twenty one! When's he's not writing poetry and making books, he's teaching workshops in poetry. He eats, breaths and drinks poetry 24/7 and he was an incredible pleasure to have a chat with. Sean opens up the show with a poem called They Don't Love Blue. To listen to this poem with stunning music by Isnod go here. Cameron goes above and beyond in taking on the More Than A Whelan challenge and writes not one, not two but three poems especially for the podcast inspired by our listener prompts. We go deep about what poetry can be. Can poetry be a cream pie smashed in your face by an evil clown? Cameron Semmens proves that yes, yes it can, through an hilarious story of auditioning for Red Faces in Hobart. Cameron first poem is called Fiddlesticks. Thank you Rebecca Vespertine for the creative prompt The Colour of Regret. Congratulations on being another Muse of The Week! Sean reads a poem called The Embassy Cafe inspired by the creative prompts 24 Hour Embassy Cafe by Jessica Alice and Holy Sock by supplied by Cameron Semmens himself. Thanks Cameron and special thanks to Jessica Alice for becoming a first time Muse of the Week! Cameron reads his second poem called You Woman, You've Had Enough using the creative prompts Icepoles & ICU and Hollow Eyes Hoping For A Better Day by Jenny O'Keefe. Thighmaster and a photograph of a man lying on a pillow with Marlene Dietriech's face were creative prompts supplied by Emilie Zoey Baker. Sean reads a poem created for Liner Notes Live at the Melbourne Writers Festival telling the true story of his encounter with Nirvana at Kings Cross Train Station in 1992. Cameron's final poem is a piece called Coddled By Spiders using the prompt Hollow Eyes Hoping For A Better Day by Jenny O'Keefe. The segment Whelan & Stealin' returns after an absence of a couple of weeks where Sean reads some of his favourite writing by other writers and asks his guests to do the same. Sean reads a poem by Nathan Curnow called Bath Towel Wings from a collection called No Other Life But This published by Five Islands in 2006. Cameron reads a poem called Sweet Darkness by David Whyte. Look out for a new children's book by Cameron called One Big Wish to be released very soon. Also Cameron has his very own poetry podcast called Shards. And a blog detailing his unlikely experience of discovering a mural of Truganini in Norway. Thank you for listening to Episode 11 of More Than A Whelan.

I had the honour to chat to amazing Brooke Saxby about her journey back to health which grew from one red face on January 1st after 6 am gym session into 365 red faces project to keep herself accountable for rest of the year. Brook not inly just lost 50 kg but created Red Face community for people to come and join in for exercise on a weekly basis. This got attention of a local council, magazines, national TV and Brooke hasn't stopped since to inspire, educate and support those who need the extra push and love most - the heavily overweight people who are considering surgery and need that extra help. Red Faces are for everyone who wants to challenge themselves and adopt a healthy mindset for life, at any age or any size you can get your red face on! As for Brooke she keeps going with hers every day, but not to make this about weight loss, Brooke inspires people to be their best, accountable and live smart. I hope you'll enjoy this rocking guest! Love Petra
