Episode 199When Daniel Penny's intervention on a New York subway unintentionally resulted in the death of Jordan Neely, the country was up in arms and he was public enemy #1. When Luigi Mangione (allegedly, as of this post) deliberately took the life of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, millions rose to his defense and hailed him a hero. Why is that the case? The situations couldn't be more clear and diverse, yet evil is called good and good, evil. On this episode of the Removing Barriers podcast, we explore the circumstances that would bring about such a twisted response. Could it be there is something in these cases that we missed? Or are we a country that has lost its fear of the Lord and so the average person can no longer accurately discern good and evil?Listen to the Removing Barriers Podcast here:Spotify: https://cutt.ly/Ega8YeI Apple Podcast: https://cutt.ly/Vga2SVdEdifi: https://cutt.ly/Meec7nsvYouTube: https://cutt.ly/mga8A77Podnews: https://podnews.net/podcast/i4jxoSee all our platforms: https://removingbarriers.netContact us:Email us: https://removingbarriers.net/contactFinancially support the show: https://removingbarriers.net/donateAffiliates:Book Shop: https://bookshop.org/shop/removingbarriersChristian Books . com: https://www.christianbook.com/Christian/Books/home?event=AFF&p=1236574See all our affiliates: https://removingbarriers.net/affiliatesNotes:Miranda Devine: Daniel Penny and Luigi Mangione: https://nypost.com/2024/12/11/opinion/miranda-devine-daniel-penny-and-luigi-mangione-each-took-different-paths-in-life-and-only-one-can-be-called-a-hero/
In February 2025, the AAPA published a press release entitled: 'AAPA Releases Survey Showing Physician Support for Removing Barriers to PA Practice.' According to AAPA President Jason Prevelige (DMSc, MBA, PA-C, DFAAPA), the survey proved that, “Physicians recognize the need for change. It's time to modernize these laws so healthcare teams can focus on what matters most, patient care.” But what did this survey REALLY show? In early April 2025, the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) released two major policies on Federal Agency Use of AI and Federal Procurement of AI - OMB memos M-25-21 and M-25-22, respectively. These memos were revised at the direction of President Trump's January 2025 executive order, “Removing Barriers to American Leadership in Artificial Intelligence” and replaced the Biden-era guidance. Under the direction of the same executive order, the Department of Energy (DOE) also put out a request for information on AI infrastructure on DOE lands, following the announcement of the $500 billion Stargate project that aims to rapidly build new data centers and AI infrastructure throughout the United States. As the Trump administration is poised to unveil its AI Action Plan in the near future, the broader contours of its strategy for AI adoption and acceleration already seem to be falling into place. Is a distinct Trump strategy for AI beginning to emerge—and what will that mean for the United States and the rest of the world? Hey, Sister-friend
Christopher Luxon says he has no regrets about the Treaty Principles Bill. Parliament's Justice Committee has recommended the bill not proceed when it returns to the House, after public submissions were overwhelmingly opposed to it. The Prime Minister says it's time for the debate to end. He told Mike Hosking allowing the bill to proceed to committee stage, but refusing to support it any further, is the right approach. This week, we've explored the book of Acts in our trek through the New Testament. At this point in history, we see the church expanding, but there is still resistance even in the church itself. From the beginning of the church there have been unnecessary barriers keeping people from Jesus. But God, in His love, refuses to leave these barriers up. We can remove the barriers keeping people from Jesus.

Episode 196Series: On the Mission Field - 20In this installation of the Removing Barriers podcast, we head back to the mission field and talk to David Gates, missionary to Dearborn, MI. Dearborn is in southern Michigan and is a suburb of Detroit. It is famous as the hometown of Henry Ford and the Ford Motor Company, as well as for its status as the city with the largest Muslim population in the country. It also has the largest mosque in the nation. With these stats, we may be tempted to engage through fleshly predispositions. David Gates, however, explains in this interview how Dearborn is no different from any other U.S. city, and how a love for Christ and for souls will help us override those predispositions and see the lost souls behind the mosques, the hijabs, or the calls to prayer. Who are the people of Dearborn and how can we best witness to them? Episode 195What do you think about para-church ministries? This is one of those subjects where if you ask a hundred Christians, you may get a hundred different answers. In this episode of the Removing Barriers podcast we talk with recurring guest Shawn Henly about the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship (IVCF), a worldwide college campus organization that claims it seeks to establish and advance witnessing opportunities of students and faculty. If that sounds a bit like Cru (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ), you would be right. But what many of us do not realize is that these organizations, though established with good intentions, are completely infiltrated with unbiblical ideologies like feminism, woke-ism, and racism. We must expose these things to encourage reform and repentance. Shawn Henly of Cross Crusaders has been actively trying to warn and inform Christians of IVCF's departure from the scriptures for a long time now, and he joins us to peel back the rot underneath the veneer of christian evangelism. Don't miss this conversation--it will be a wake-up call for us to be vigilant against the works of darkness and take nothing for granted.Listen to the Removing Barriers Podcast here:Spotify: https://cutt.ly/Ega8YeI Apple Podcast: https://cutt.ly/Vga2SVdEdifi: https://cutt.ly/Meec7nsvYouTube: https://cutt.ly/mga8A77Podnews: https://podnews.net/podcast/i4jxoSee all our platforms: https://removingbarriers.netContact us:Email us: https://removingbarriers.net/contactFinancially support the show: https://removingbarriers.net/donateAffiliates:Book Shop: https://bookshop.org/shop/removingbarriersChristian Books . com: https://www.christianbook.com/Christian/Books/home?event=AFF&p=1236574See all our affiliates: https://removingbarriers.net/affiliatesNotes:InterVarsity: https://intervarsity.org/Cross Crusaders: https://www.crosscrusaders.com/

Episode 194In this episode of the Removing Barriers podcast, we are delighted to have Tricia as a guest to discuss homeschooling! Tricia is a successful homeschool veteran, having educated her own children and now providing help and encouragement to others. Homeschooling participation had been steadily increasing since the 1980s, but 2020 caused an explosive increase that intensified interest and criticism. The perfect storm of fear, government control, and social unrest shut the world down, and the ideologies infecting the school system were laid bare. Confidence was at an all-time low and suddenly, homeschooling was not just for fundies, zealots, hippies, and conspiracy theorists. Parents began to see it for what it was all along: a reasonable course of action for the education of their children. But is homeschooling the best option? Should we be encouraging parents to educate their children when most of them are not trained educators? What about socialization and extracurricular activities? Tricia has faced the skepticism and criticism that comes with the decision to homeschool, and she helps us peel back the curtain to see it through a lens of wonder and possibility, answering the objections and championing the merits. Episode 193Series: What Do You Believe – 6There is no shortage of religions and cults that promise salvation, joy, peace, or happiness. Followers can number in the billions as is the case with Islam, or it could be millions, as is the case with the Branhamists. Branhamism is the curious theology and collection of doctrines espoused by William M. Branham, a self-proclaimed prophet and faith healer. On today's episode of the Removing Barriers podcast, we sit down with recurring guest Leopold to discuss all the tenets of this cult: its history, its leader, and its followers (many of whom persist today despite the evidence). Leopold runs the ministry Edimof, dedicated to teaching biblical truth and exposing false religions. Let us evaluate Branhamism by the Word of God, prayerfully trusting the Lord to remove all the barriers this cult creates to keep people from having a clear view of the cross.Listen to the Removing Barriers Podcast here: Spotify: https://cutt.ly/Ega8YeI Apple Podcast: https://cutt.ly/Vga2SVd Edifi: https://cutt.ly/Meec7nsv YouTube: https://cutt.ly/mga8A77 Podnews: https://podnews.net/podcast/i4jxoSee all our platforms: https://removingbarriers.netContact us: Email us: https://removingbarriers.net/contact Financially support the show: https://removingbarriers.net/donateAffiliates: Book Shop: https://bookshop.org/shop/removingbarriers Answers in Genesis Bookstore: https://shrsl.com/2tu8i Comp and Save: https://shrsl.com/2tu8i BulbHead: https://shrsl.com/4ft37 Share a Sale: https://shrsl.com/2jz4fSee all our affiliates: https://removingbarriers.net/affiliatesNotes: Edimof: https://edimof.org/ Edimof Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@espritdediscernement3554

Episode 192Series: On the Mission Field - 19The Fahringer family is on their way to Chile! In this episode of the Removing Barriers podcast, Geoffrey Fahringer takes precious time out of his day to tell us more about the country of Chile, the spiritual needs there, and his family's desire to minister to the people there. Chile is a long, narrow, beautiful strip of land in South America spanning from the base of Peru all the way down to the tip of the continent, and jumping the ocean to claim certain parts of Antartica. The people groups are diverse, but the need is the same: a saving faith and growing relationship with the Creator, the Lord Jesus Christ. Geoffrey Fahringer would have never in a million years seen himself as a missionary because he was far along the path of military service and law enforcement. But after the Lord saved him, it became increasingly clear that God had plans for his family in that beautiful country. Geoffrey and his family surrendered, and today we get to hear all about what God has been doing to bring a gospel witness to the people there. Episode 190 Bonkers - 11 In this episode of the Removing Barriers podcast, we continue our series titled "This World Has Gone Bonkers," where we grab headlines from all over that highlight the madness in our world. We will discuss the power the American president apparently has to just declare an amendment ratified and the law of the land, even when it isn't so. If you didn't realize he had that power, you're in good company, because we sure didn't realize it, either! We also discuss the hottest (no pun intended) dance gone viral as Los Angeles burns to the ground: the Newsom Shimmy! The tone-deaf governor debuted the moves for local news outlets while gleefully announcing ongoing talks with speculators on how to divvy up the charred remains of LA. If that isn't bonkers enough, we also discuss a Satanic temple opening a religious abortion clinic, as well as some doctors who withheld study findings on transgender mental health because the results did not support their activism. In a healthcare landscape reshaped by post-pandemic challenges, workforce shortages and burnout are stretching the system to its limits. According to the Association of American Medical Colleges, the U.S. is projected to face a shortage of up to 86,000 physicians by 2036, while turnover rates among nurses and allied health professionals continue to climb. With healthcare systems struggling to address the physician shortage and fill critical roles, the question looms large—how do we bridge the widening gap between workforce demands and skill-building opportunities? How can healthcare organizations upskill and sustain a future-ready workforce in this disrupted environment? In this episode of DisruptED, host Ron J. Stefanski dives into this critical issue with three industry leaders: Jason Aubrey, Founder and CEO of Skilltrade; Geoffrey M. Roche, Director of Workforce Development at Siemens Healthineers; and Jesse McCree, CEO of SCPa Works. The experts discuss strategies, insights, and innovations aimed at addressing the physician shortage and solving one of healthcare's most pressing crises.Key takeaways from the episode:Combining Online and Hands-On Training: Jason Aubrey highlights how Skilltrade blends flexible online education with critical hands-on experience, addressing both regulatory requirements and real-world skills gaps in healthcare training.Employer-Led Workforce Models: Geoffrey Roche underscores the success of employer-led initiatives, such as those in Wisconsin, where health systems drive apprenticeship programs to build sustainable talent pipelines.Removing Barriers to Workforce Entry: Jesse McCree emphasizes the importance of reducing barriers, such as childcare and access to clinical opportunities for underrepresented communities, to create equitable and resilient workforce solutions.About the GuestsJason Aubrey is a private equity-backed CEO with a proven track record in organizational transformation, innovation, and growth across tech-enabled businesses globally. Episode 186 "Nobody does guns like the U.S. does guns." -Aristotle, probably. We don't need a bad meme to know that of all the nations on earth, the United States is the only one with the right to keep and bear arms enshrined in the law of the land with absolutely no restrictions. There are more guns than people in the U.S., and the number of gun owners in any other nation pales in comparison. But the United States is also in significant moral decline, and the absolute tragedy of preventable gun violence is a harrowing reality that demands attention. What that attention should be, however, is hotly contested with no real resolution in sight. Though the problem is complex and multi-faceted, one area seems to be gaining steam, namely, the prosecution of parents for gun violence committed by their children. Whether for a school shooting or a single person attack, parents have been indicted, tried, convicted, and sentenced for a crime they did not commit. Is this right? Should parents be responsible for major crimes their children commit? In what ways are parents responsible for the safety of their children and others when it comes to firearms? On this episode of the Removing Barriers, we sit down with gun expert and enthusiast Michael Jordan (of no relation to THEE Michael Jordan) to discuss the these questions, as well as role and impact society has in this matter. Episode 185 It is no surprise that the institution of marriage is under attack in the West. This is not new, and for many decades now, the biblical tenets of marriage have been questioned, disregarded, eroded, and in some cases, destroyed or forgotten. Divorce lawyers, having made a living off the dissolution of marriage, have now taken to social media to add to the attack, under the guise of "real talk" or helping clients with "reality." How did we get here? What does the Bible say about marriage and how should we regard it? Talk about it? Consider it? Enter it? Maintain it? Is there ever a scenario in which we should end it? In this episode of the Removing Barriers podcast, recurring guest Pastor Todd takes the time to explain what biblical marriage is and what God says about it. Is it egalitarian or complementarian? Can it be whatever we want it to be, or has God declared the nature of it in His Word? Furthermore, is that word still applicable in 2024? Join us as we both remember and discover the truth of this foundational institution, and what we can do today to uphold it. While we focus on K-12 education at the Arizona K12 Center, today on 3Ps in a Pod, we're talking about a particular pathway for high school graduates. Today, Amanda Schmidt, a senior development director with NAU Advancement, joins us to talk about ways to remove or lower barriers to post-secondary education and how, as a community, we can all participate in helping others achieve success by lowering financial barriers. Amanda shares about why she encourages students to lead with curiosity when considering post-secondary possibilities and the importance of reaching out to find out what support may exist. There are many avenues available to support students as they attempt to navigate funding and potential gaps in their funding. Amanda offers several suggestions for how students can fill these gaps while pursuing opportunities. As students are investigating what they may want to pursue post-secondary, Amanda suggests starting by being radically honest about what brings you joy and what ignites your passion. She also encourages potential students or program participants to explore the supports that may exist at the place or program you are exploring and ensure they also align with your values. On this podcast, listeners will learn more about the various arms of support designed to assist students pursuing a college or university path. Amanda explains how completing the FAFSA can be a way of sourcing needs-based funds but should also be a point of asking further questions. Amanda and 3Ps host Juliana Urtubey, NBCT, also explore how we can be a part of the community that helps move future generations of students forward and what large impacts that community generosity can have on students. Episode 183 The King James Bible, first published in 1611, has long been revered for its majestic prose and perceived accuracy. But what makes it stand out in our modern world of shifting norms and the new bible translations to suit them? In this episode of the Removing Barriers podcast, we interview recurring guest Shawn Henly of Cross Crusaders about the KJV Bible and why many Christians choose it to the exclusion of all other Bible versions. Shawn Henly is a staunch advocate for the KJV, that it is God's perfectly preserved word for English-speaking people. He argues that while translations are not inspired, the KJV's source manuscripts (the Textus Receptus and the Masoretic Text) are the most faithful representations of the original biblical texts. Discover the history, myths, and controversies surrounding the KJV, and why some believe it to be the ultimate English translation. You won't want to miss this episode! Episode 182 After a hotly contested and failed bid for president, incessant indictments and trials of a suspiciously political nature, fanatical opposition from all the established American institutions, and multiple assassination attempts (one of which would have surely been fatal had a miracle not changed circumstances at the last split second), Donald Trump became president elect in the fall of 2024. How could this have happened? In the aftermath, his opposition melted into despair and began blame-shifting, but one thing is undeniable: Trump won considerable support from demographics that previously wouldn't give hime the time of day. What changed? On this episode of the Removing Barriers podcast, recurring guest Sam joins us as we compare and contrast the last three presidential election results and try to understand where Trump performed well compared to Harris and how that allowed the Republican party to win everything: the White House, the Senate, the House, and the popular vote to boot. In what is sure to be remembered as the one of the best political comeback stories ever, America made her choice crystal clear, and we want to examine how it all went down. Episode 180 The United States is only a few days away from what is already one of the most consequential and riveting presidential elections in recent history. On November 5th, the American people will vote to make their will known. While some Christians do not participate in the democratic process, there are many who will. How should the Christian consider Trump in this election, with his legal woes, polarizing reputation, and vitriolic opposition? Should it matter to Christians that he is a convicted felon? Episode 174 The He Gets Us campaign took the evangelical internet by storm in the last year. It has garnered a wide range of responses, from praise to harsh criticism and mockery. What is this campaign, who is behind it, what are they trying to accomplish, and why are the reactions to it so strong? On this episode of the Removing Barriers podcast, hosts McG and Jay do a bit of digging to answer these questions and then try to understand the world's reaction to the campaign. Are Christians who object to He Get Us just being snobby theological prudes when it comes to the messaging of these ads or is there actually a sinister plot behind the shiny productions to undermine the power of the gospel of Christ? We answer these questions thoroughly, so join us as we tackle this barrier so we can all have a clear view of the cross.
