KAPPA FUTUR FESTIVAL 2022 LINE-UP   Hello Everybody Today we will discover what's the line up of Kappa Futur Festival, and how's I going to be.  The award-winning festival is back for its ninth edition at the famous Dora Park, Italy with an extra day added. Running from July 1 to 3, this renowned techno festival will see huge names of the industry perform including, Amelie Lens, Ben Böhmer, Four Tet, Peggy Gou and many more.   Day one will see Belgium's Amelie Lens, Swiss DJAndrea Oliva, Germany's acclaimed Ben Böhmer (playing live), DJ Boris Brejcha and Ibiza-based Chelina Manuhutu — with Four Tet making his Kappa Futur debut. Farrago and Milo Spykers will be going back-to-back, Germany's FJAAK live, I Hate Models, Chicago house DJ John Summit, Michael Bibi and South Korea's one and only Peggy Gou. As well as these huge names, Reinier Zonneveld will be playing live, London-based Syreeta and Spanish DJ Wade plus for the first time Ugandan collective NYEGE NYEGE with HHY & The Kampala Unit, Kabeaushé, Jay Mitta & Anti Vairas, Menzi and Turkana all confirmed.   The next day will see The Blessed Madonna, UK house legends CamelPhat, plus the return of Craig Richards and DJ Derrick Carter. Constantly swimming in aural pleasures, you’ll either find Adi Toohey controlling the dancefloor from a Sydney DJ booth, presenting Saturday Sunset on FBi Radio, working in record stores or hosting parties with her Rimbombo crew. Now a graduate headliner, Toohey carved a name opening for the likes of Hunee, Young Marco, Bicep and The Black Madonna, playing Dark Mofo, Subsonic and Splendour in the Grass festivals and for interstate crews Club Coco, Lucid and A Love Supreme. 
 With a musical CV like that Adi seemed a natural choice to warm up the dance floor for our inaugural B3 event with Gerd Janson, Dj Koze and Charlotte de Witte. It's a new year and a new dawn, an opportunity to showcase some of the best up and coming talent within music and we here at Ransom Note take such a role very seriously indeed. It is for this reason that we have nominated Darling to deliver our first mix of 2018, a producer and disc jockey from Amsterdam who is steadily gathering momentum, ready to unleash force upon the globe. Last year saw him release an EP on the record label run by Young Marco, Safe Trip. The label has crafted a home for itself amidst the Dutch capital and has released an array of music, both new and old, from producers often operating along a vain similar to that of Marco himself. We have been told that 2018 holds exciting prospects for Darling as a producer as he will be releasing a new series of 12" EP's across the course of the year. Other than what we have already discussed there is little information as to the identity and background of this mysterious producer and mogul (you may or may not know him) - we'll let the music simply do the talking.

Los Angeles based DJ and producer Cooper Saver is a responsible for the Far Away party, mixtape series, and radio show on Dublab. Berlin and Sao Paolo: A tale of two cities. Each engulfed in a rich history and both possessing such a unique character that the stark contrast between these heaving concrete jungles is wonderfully accented by the one lifeline they share: culture and music at their very heart, beating to keep the metropolises alive. From the masters of Tropicália to an epic night on a Sao Paolo dance floor, there’s no shortage of examples of why Brazil is a hotbed for musical genius. Which is why it’s the setting for Get Physical’s latest compilation. Put together by Davis, this release is split in two for your diurnal and nocturnal listening pleasure, a selection made, according to the man himself, “...to take your ears through some works that I deem essential, others that I consider timeless and some more that, together, concoct a statement of how great these times we live in can be, whether you are in Berlin or Sao Paulo”. 18 year-old singer-songwriter and musician and newly named a BET Music Matters artist, YOUNG MARCO returns to the legendary S.O.B.'s stage onWednesday, September 16, 2015 as part of the monthly residency series, Sol Village.   Young Marco is currently on tour in support of his domestic violence single, "Gone Long Gone".  The single was inspired by his own personal experience with domestic violence. "Gone Long Gone" was written by Young Marco and Eric "Cire" Crawford collectively, (Mariah Carey, K. Michelle, Milla J, Ravaughn).    Ebony.com says "The hook's double meaning lays out the two choices at hand: "gone" can either mean exiting the relationship on one's own terms, or facing a totally unstable, possibly far worse outcome."  

Dekmantel Podcast 25 stars not just one fine artist, but offers both Amsterdam don Young Marco and French forerunner Gilb'R. The two played a stunning back to back set in the end of May at this year's Lente Kabinet, Dekmantel's sister festival based in the surroundings of Amsterdam. This podcast is a recording of that set as it was played at a lively Red Light Radio stage. Young Marco and Gilb'R pairing up for a great session of playing energetic, unheard gems, seems a very logical thing to do as both men have their roots in record digging and producing out of the ordinary house music.

Actually school friends Jakob Seidensticker and Henrik Raabe had started a band called "The Havana Boys" some years ago and where kind of a house-band for the famous Mojo Club in Hamburg. While playing another gig in the holy halls Florian Schirmacher, already famous with projects like "Glowing Glisses", jumped the stage and just hit it. And so Wareika took off. The very first release is called "Men Village" (2008 Connaisseur Rec) and demonstrates the deep influence of Jazz music and wobbly dub-sounds that all three musicians are heavily into. Definitely no need to mention King Tubby or Sun Ra. It also showcases the musical education that all three artists enjoyed from an early age on. Henrik Raabe studied guitar, drums and piano, Florian was educated in singing and the piano, while Jakob can master a fretless bass and plays all kinds of percussions. Besides this classical and high level education Jakob and Florian are also very much into djing and they know their club-roots and a lot about Techno, House and all sorts of contemporary club music. So the high versatility of styles in their music takes no wonder. Their productions including, three albums, several single releases and more than a dozen high-profile remixes on different labels like Tartelet, Perlon, Circus Company, Future Classics, Eskimo and many others are ranging from Balearic to deep Techno, jazzy House sounds and from Balkan-Jazz to dubby riddims. Wareika are always maintaining their smart intellect, depth and dynamism in all compositions. It ́s a bright and dazzling kaleidoscope of melodies and polyrhythmic or four to the floor beats that is entirely unique in the electronic worldwide circuit and you can may be label their music with the term Jazz-Not-Jazz or even better Techno-No-Techno. Whatever you may call it, it ́s deep and atmospheric but it never misses the groove! When it comes down to live gigs the trio is very keen on defining a quality and outstanding sound and always play 100% live. Definitely no computers on stage! Due to the fact that they are playing mainly in Club venues they beef up their sounds. And even though they are definitely not your average club heads band, they still get the masses raving and dancing to their sets that can endure up to 3 hours...
Jakob Seidensticker (MPC arrangements, effects, mixing) Florian Schirmacher (vocals, keyboards and percussions) and Henrik Raabe (guitar, percussions and vocals) are playing in venues all around the world from London to St. Petersburg, from Miami to Oslo and from Tokyo to Brazil. Itʼs always thrilling to see Wareika on stage as Techno-marries-Jazz improvisers, while they are recreating their recorded masterpieces like „Kingʼs Child“ (2009 Motivbank) or „Harmonie Park“ (2010 Perlon) into something completely new, or just improvise and create things unheard so far. Many of these stage-born songs are now captured on vinyl and CD, forming their fourth full-length album „Wternal“. It will be out on Visionquest in October 2013.
