"Večina dokumentarnih filmov zareže v bistvo problema sodobnega sveta, še posebno takrat, ko je govor o nevralgičnih točkah našega bližnjega prostora," je v uvodniku 27. Festivala dokumentarnega filma zapisal njegov programski direktor Simon Popek. Verjetno najbolj pričakovani film festivala je film Edina zemlja, ki je prejel oskarja za najboljši dokumentarec, v naboru pa so tudi filmi, ki raziskujejo vprašanja, kot na primer, kako živijo vešče in molji, kakšno vlogo imajo v zgodovini človeštva vlaki, kako velika je moč arhiva in kako je bilo avgusta leta 1965, ko so v New York, na drugo ameriško turnejo, prispeli Beatli. Odprtje festivala bo pospremila biografska drama o Zoranu Predinu režiserja Slobodana Maksimovića, retrospektiva pa bo posvečena dokumentarnemu opusu slovenske režiserke Maje Weiss. Festival bodo od 12. do 19. marca gostili Cankarjev dom, Kinodvor in Slovenska kinoteka.

My parents had a stormy marriage, and I was the youngest child, the only girl in this family. And I watched these adults and my older brothers. I mean, everybody was in a tizzy. And so, I was watching all of this, trying to figure out my place in this, you know, family. And it turns out that around the age of 10, I saw a TV show with an idea of how to get people to get along. So, I tried it on my folks. And I did, and they let me, which is a surprise, but I think it indicates, Nancy, just how distraught they were with their own relationship. Or maybe they saw something in their daughter that suggested I could help them. At the end of this conversation, I turned to my Dad; both parents were present, and both were native-born, English-speaking adults. I translated and said to my Dad, "This is what Mom needs you to do so she'll feel loved." And I turned to my Mom and said, "And this is what Dad needs for you to do so he will feel respected." And notice the words changed, and that's because Mom was the I in DISC. She was the one who needed lots of love, attention, you know, that sort of thing. And Dad was much more the S. He needed respect. He needed a system." – NANCY"Well, spirituality is definitely a big part of who I am. I may have majored in psychology, but I minored in philosophy. So, I've always been intrigued by understanding, you know, what's the meaning of it all and, you know, what's going on behind me. And, by the way, that's very typical of the I. The I tends to be one of those, you know, thinking in the stratosphere and thinking about doing things of significance beyond self. And so, spirituality to me is important because it allows me to connect again in an authentic way, to bring my heart, not just my head, into the sales conversation. So, I bring all of me. Vláda tak podľa neho likviduje ekonomiku a zareže firmy. Tiež budete počuť rozhovor s bývalým šéfom výboru pre financie a rozpočet Mariánom Viskupičom. Podľa neho sa vláda rozhodla vyššie zdaniť takmer všetko, čo sa hýbe. Kritizuje vládu tiež za to, že to robí potichu.Podľa Jozefa Hajka z KDH vláda presúva peniaze z jedného vrecka do druhého. "When gypsy grifter Matko (Bajram Severdzan) is abruptly swindled by his own partner, he is unable to pay the large debt he suddenly owes. As an alternative form of payment, Matko forces his adolescent son Zare (Florijan Ajdini) into an arranged marriage with his partner's midget sister, Afrodita (Salija Ibraimova). However, both Zare and Afrodita find the marriage objectionable, and their attempts to escape the situation lead to a series of unpredictable comic escapades."So says Wikipedia of the influential Serbian Director Emir Kusturica's 1998 romantic crime comedy BLACK CAT WHITE CAT but it's difficult to know what the experience of watching it is actually like from that madcap description and after listening to Sidey and Cris talk about it I'm still essentially none the wiser. What I can gather is that this deliberately anarchic and chaotic movie definitely involved a man cleaning himself of raw sewage using a goose, and for that alone it has to be worth a watch.We love to hear from our listeners!
