Would you ever get a Brazilian Butt Life or BBL for short? "Perfecting" the female body is an ideas that has been around since Adam and Eve, but in the past 12 years there has been a rise in achieving the "perfect" body more than ever and moving towards more "permanent" solutions like surgery. We explore why women feel the urge to achieve "the instagram body" and they overall pressure on people, men and women to look a particular way. We also cover the after care that comes with one of these major surgeries as Kristen Gooden, our guest is well versed in this topic. As women not only is there pressure to look a certain way but sometimes receiving care in the hospitals can be challenging as a Black women. Nurses and Doctors are less likely to listen to a Black woman expressing pain than a white woman, all that and more!
