A couple of days after sitting down with Ajeet for a What a Lad episode, he messaged me. He asked if he could come back on and open up about some of his mental health struggles he has had during his tennis career. Never an easy thing to topic to talk about but such an important one. Ajeet who started playing at the age of 3 has been committed to becoming the best tennis player he can be throughout his life. Now 23 years old and winning singles and doubles tournaments around the world, he looks to be on the brink of something pretty special.  It was really interesting to hear the lifestyle of a tennis player and some of the challenges they face. Sometimes I'm brave and fearless like a lion, and sometimes I'm not. After all, I'm just a kid. I learn so much every day.  At school there are some kids that bother me so much! It's really hard because there are 5 of them and only 1 of me.  They don't share or take turns. They think they are the best at everything and they get mad when I play with the toys. It's really hard to be around them.  I try to talk to them nicely, but it doesn't help. I try to ignore them, but it's so hard. I try everything, but they won't stop bothering me! I don't know what to do.  I come home and tell Mumma. She tells me to find the happiest kids with the biggest smiles at school and play with them instead. In his time in Silicon Valley, Ajeet has noticed situations where there is a disconnect between how executives are thinking, what is happening in reality, and how much the board gets to know. However, Ajeet has built a culture with absolutely nothing to hide, as he notes. He has chosen to invite all the employees to board meetings because he claims that employees should know everything that is going on in the company. Further, he cites that this has given young engineers the opportunity to present to some of the most respected investors in Silicon Valley. Therefore, Thomas seeks to help those with whom he works, reimagine themselves and their world. Bio: Thomas Moore is the author of the number one New York Times bestseller Care of the Soul. He has written twenty-four other books about bringing soul to personal life and culture, deepening spirituality, humanizing medicine, finding meaningful work, imagining sexuality with soul, and doing religion in a fresh way.
