Brenda McMorrow discusses mantra music and medicine songs. Brenda McMorrow is a Canadian Devotional Chant artist who is known for her unique and warmly embracing style of mantra music, in which she blends elements of acoustic folk, world rhythms, and ancient Indian chants with a sweetly introspective singer-songwriter's sensibility. Yoga Journal describes Brenda as having “a knack for expressing the deepest realizations in the sparsest lyrics”.  As spiritual teacher Ram Dass has said: “Brenda has a gift”, and her music has been touching people's hearts worldwide.Originally a folk/pop singer/songwriter, it was when Brenda participated in her first Sanskrit chant while attending a Yoga workshop in 2004, that she had a profound knowing her musical journey was leading her to places more expansive and heart-opening than she had ever imagined. Brenda remembers: “It was a very simple chant (Om Namah Shivaya), and at the time I had no idea what it signified: all I knew was that every cell in my body started vibrating, and I felt absolute joy”. While in India soon thereafter, Brenda began combining her own songwriting with ancient Sanskrit chants – and she has been flowing with this divine wave of Bhakti energy ever since. With 5 celebrated devotional chant albums, Brenda is a featured artist on White Swan Records, a Colorado label.. She has shared festival stages with Krishna Das and Snatam Kaur; has been accompanied by Grammy award winning cellist David Darling; has been a guest musician with esteemed Kirtan musicians Jai Uttal, Wah!, David Newman, Girish, Mirabai Ceiba, Jai Jagdeesh, Shantala and Dave Stringer; and has been invited to Bhakti Yoga festivals and events across North America, Europe and Asia. When not on the Bhakti road, Brenda calls the countryside near beautiful Guelph, Ontario, home.https://brendamcmorrow.com/Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/truth-be-told-paranormal--3589860/support.

Guruganesha Singh grew up in Natick MA, 18 miles west of Boston. Graduated high school class of 1968. In Feb 1972, he attended his first KY class at the boathouse at Smith College in Northampton MA, after seeing YB's tratakum pic on a flyer in the Student Union. Soon after he attended a weekend KY retreat at the Montague (montagew) in MA with Guru Shabd Singh. Very soon thereafter he moved into the Worcester (wooster)MA Ashram near Clark University where he was a senior year in college. The first week of Jan. 1973 he moved into Ahimsa Ashram on Q St. Washington DC, where he became the dishwasher at the Golden Temple Restaurant for many months. He was arranged to be married to Gurudarshan Kaur originally from Tuscon, AZ in May 1977. They had their son, Akal Sahai Singh in April 1978. In 1986, at age 8 years old, their son, Akal Sahai went to India for one year, which caused a rupture in their marriage, and Gurudarshan started divorce proceedings. In 1987 it was suggested by the head of the ashram that he marry Mata Mandir Kaur from the DC ashram (and they are still married 36 years later) He worked for all the DC ashram businesses thru 1989 when he resigned from the “family” businesses and started his own business Sandler Sales Institute, a sales training in the high-tech sector. In Jan 2000 he founded Spirit Voyage Music and started recording and touring with Snatam Kaur for the next 11 years. In 2011 he and Snatam parted ways, and he started the GuruGanesha Band. The revelations of 2020 exposed what he held at a distance for far too long, and the undeniable truth created a landslide. Most recently, after the results of the 2023 Siri Singh Sahib Corporation (SSSC) elections, he immediately resigned from Khalsa Council and the Sikh Dharma Ministry. A 25 minute lying down sound meditation with the transformational frequency of 528 Hz.This frequency is known as the "miracle tone" or "love frequency". It can help in manifesting our deepest desires, experience growth and transformation and even repair our DNA.  528 Hz is one of the 6 ancient Solfeggio frequencies based on the Solfege scale written by 11th century monk Guido D'Arezzo as part of a Gregorian chant . The frequencies were lost, then rediscovered in the 1970s by Dr. Joseph Puleo and Leonard Horowitz. These frequencies has immense effect on the body and mind - can heal and transform human consciousness.  Nowadays there are 9 healing tones that are considered to make the solfeggio scale:174 Hz – Relieving pain and stress285 Hz – Healing and restoring tissues396 Hz – Liberating guilt and fear417 Hz – Releasing negativity and facilitating change528 Hz – Transformation and  miracles639 Hz - Harmonizing connections and relationships741 Hz – Problem solving and self expression852 Hz – Awakening Intuition963 Hz - Experiencing oneness and connecting to higher worldsThe session begins with "Wahe Guru" mantra chant to clear the mind and heart by the amazing Snatam Kaur.  Ending song by PJ Harvey.Featuring:Snatam Kaur--Altered Perspectives | LO* Recorded in Quintana Roo, Mexico on February  10 2023About this podcastPractice and frequency for vibration management ///////////////// Free guided meditations for the benefit of all. Ep 186 | Honoring & Remembering A Life + Grief Mindful Reiki Energy Healing Meditation Last week I saw a stat from via @Impact that said, "1320 people in the US have died from gun violence". Followed by “the amount of mass shootings in one month shouldn't be normal. We need change.” Yes, we do – the challenge is violence had already become normalized in our society. Violence has become an epidemic. And I saw on another site, “end the violence epidemic,”. As I researched: "Violence is among the most significant health problems not only because of death and injury but also because of the harm, fear, and trauma caused to families and communities. It leads to a broad range of mental and physical health problems that disproportionately impact children, youth, and communities." Then a couple of days later, I heard about the tragic death of Tyre Nichols. And I found myself weeping. I found I needed to do some of my own healing about the grief I felt as I cried for the tragedies. After I did this, I thought maybe others out there could use some support. And I also wanted to take time to Honor and Remember the lives killed by violence. In this episode, there is a short talk, Grief Mindful Reiki Energy Healing Meditation, followed by layering Reiki with the chanting mantra of "Akal". In Kundalini Yoga and Meditation, we chant “Akaaal”, when someone has transitioned. It is said to help liberate the soul from the dense field of the earth, giving it a boost into the peace of the divine beyond. Akal means undying, and it is the truth of the soul. It means that there is no death, only liberation. It reminds both the departed and those who remain behind of our true identity as deathless souls. This powerful chant can be used anytime a loved one passes to honor their spirit and help them 'cross into the blue ethers', as it is known in the Kundalini yoga tradition, essentially helping the soul move on to another dimension of life. This amazing chant, sung by Snatam Kaur with Todd Boston and Ramesh Kannan at Sat Nam Fest East 2013. If you are needing support and also wish to honor those who have died tune in. Much love and Reiki blessings everyone.

Welcome to Episode #49 of the Wild Yoga Tribe Podcast! This week, I welcome Cori Giunti onto the show. She is a yoga teacher from Argentina and a psychologist as well. My conversation with Cori was so touching as we took a deep dive into the spiritual world of Kundalini yoga, and the world of mental health as well. I hope that this conversation made you curious about the mind-body connection and how yoga can help process trauma and psychological issues. If you're looking to tune into a podcast episode that is all about Kundalini yoga and mental health then this is the conversation for you. Tell me more about Cori Giunti Cori Giunti is a Kundalini Yoga instructor. She currently teaches weekly classes at the Yoga Center, Valletierra, applying other tools to awaken consciousness. She has been a practitioner of Kundalini yoga for 9 years, and did her yoga teacher training in Argentina, and has studied under Snatam Kaur. Her passion is to serve people in order to feel good, get better, and become more connected and more conscious. She is a psychologist as well as a yoga teacher. What to expect in the Yoga In Argentina episode of the Wild Yoga Tribe Podcast Cori and I then dove into what Kundalini yoga is and what practicing it is like. She defined Kundalini yoga as the yoga of awareness. And even though it involves physical movement and asanas, it's not the primary focus. Kundalini includes a lot of mantras, chanting, singing, pranayama, and movement. We then dove into how yoga has impacted Cori's life, and how yoga can help her patients and people in general process trauma and work through the emotions that are blocked and stored in our bodies. We then talked about what yoga is to Cori, a place where she feels safe and a place to feel a lot of love. Curious? Tune into the podcast episode For the skimmers - What's in the yoga in Argentina episode? What is kundalini yoga and kundalini energy? Kundalini: The Yoga of Awareness Yoga is a commitment to yourself Don't look outside all the time, the answers to your questions are inside of you The emotions we block settle in our bodies Yoga is a place of love, safety, and vast openness

I am a spiritual being living in an animal body, This evokes both love and fear. As I fully accept and embrace this truth, I can enjoy all the things I hold dear. These days we are shedding our skins like snakes, emerging out of the underworld of Scorpio. We are fields being plowed by the hand of Spirit in preparation for the seeds of a new beginning. Do not despair as what once was is gone, the person, the song, or the dream. Listen to Snatam Kaur's "Song of Your Heart" below and know that you are your song. This is a time of repeating the mantra "I am enough, I have enough, I know enough, I love enough, life is enough." As we stand like Spartans, strong within ourselves, looking through our glass bottom boats and discovering more gems, gold, and beauty inside, we feel better, complete, and alive. That feeling permeates our soul, and our magnetic field lights up, energizes, blazes, and attracts a future worthy of our brilliance. Look not behind but ahead. Lastly, your health is your greatest wealth. As you come into yourself, your body, hug it, love it, nourish it. Eat only the best foods, drink only the best drinks, stretch it, move it, feel it, enjoy it. Embrace your body as your "humanness" and rejoice in being human, at this time, in this place, despite all madness and chaos, you're breathing, and life is grand! See you on the other side.
