Tune in here to this Tuesday's edition of the Brett Winterble Show! Brett kicks off the program by talking about a high-stakes meeting between President Donald Trump and the Canadian Prime Minister, and the broader implications of ongoing tariff negotiations. He describes Trump’s performance as a “masterclass,” claiming the former president dominated the discussion and made clear the U.S. holds the upper hand in global trade. Brett mocks the Canadian leader, calling him the “Carney Barker,” and criticizes those who are confused or fearful about tariffs. He emphasizes that tariffs are here to stay and are necessary to protect American industries. We're joined by Father Bill Nicholas to talk about the upcoming Papal Conclave and the sacred process of selecting the next Pope. As cardinals prepare to gather in the Sistine Chapel, Father Bill explains the traditions, symbolism, and spiritual weight behind this centuries-old ritual. He describes how the cardinals take an oath of secrecy, vote in silence, and await the appearance of white smoke signaling a new Pope. Father Bill also reflects on the legacy of Pope Francis, particularly his efforts to diversify the College of Cardinals by increasing representation from Asia and the Pacific. Emphasizing that this is a process guided by the Holy Spirit—not politics—he offers insight into how the Church seeks divine direction in choosing a new Holy Father. The conversation closes with a blessing for listeners and a reminder of the Church’s enduring role and presence in the world.Beth Troutman from Good Morning BT is also here for this Tuesday's episode of Crossing the Streams. Brett and Beth talk about former President Donald Trump’s meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Carney and the upcoming Real ID travel deadline. They reflect on Trump’s dominating presence during the press conference, noting how Carney could barely get a few words in as Trump took control of the conversation with his signature mix of bravado, unpredictability, and backhanded compliments. They explore whether Trump was intentionally throwing Carney off balance as a negotiation tactic or simply enjoying the moment. Beth also shares what she and Bo have coming up Wednesday on Good Morning BT Listen here for all of this and more on The Brett Winterble Show! Two things: the new Canadian Prime Minister says it plain and true, calls out the U.S. for our betrayal of our best friend. It burns. It hurts. It aches like a bum tooth and the shame is sickening. Betrayers. We.Are.BETRAYERS. Let it sink in till the bitter bile rises in disgust. For a palette-cleanser, consider: Nitwit Nero is Barney Fife in the real world. So Friday-On-the-Front-Porch has moved to Discord. Join us! Head-ON with Roxanne Kincaid – May 2, 2025 This episode of the Roxanne Kincaid Show dives deep into the absurdities of MAGAT politics, global shifts in power, and the fight to preserve progressive values in the face of growing authoritarianism. Roxanne, self-described as a “liberal transbilly elitist,” cusses and discusses the MAGAT embrace of ignorance, American decline, and the urgency of community action. Key topics include: – Rep. Mike Collins's “Halal” hysteria, reacting with bigotry to CHA Street Food replacing Steak 'n Shake in a House office building, likening it to the Muslim conquest of Jerusalem. Roxanne mocks his ignorance of halal/kosher cuisine and South Asian food in general—while noting real crises in Collins's own district. – Trump (aka “Nitwit Nero”) butchering history, claiming the Declaration of Independence is about “unity and love,” which Roxanne compares to a Barney Fife-level misunderstanding. Even immigrants passing citizenship tests do better. – MAGAT voter “Cletus” laments Trump's economic inaction, showcasing disconnects between MAGAT expectations and Trump's actions. – More MAGAT absurdities, from Collins cheering racist chants to Trump demanding a birthday military parade and disrespecting Veterans Day. Beyond domestic politics, Roxanne discusses: – Canadian PM Mark Carney declaring the US-led global trade system “over” and lamenting “American betrayal,” signaling waning U.S. global relevance. – The U.S. as a ‘rounding error' globally, outpaced by the populations of China and India, and possibly facing reserve currency displacement. – Talk of a post-dollar global economy, with possible currency baskets including the yuan, euro, rupee, and pound. Amid concern for the U.S.'s fading clout, Roxanne uplifts her Horn family community, now connecting via Discord to maintain dialogue and solidarity. The show encourages listener support, podcast reviews, and highlights the work of Coal River Mountain Watch in fighting mountaintop removal. One donor even issues a challenge grant to boost fundraising. There's also some cautious optimism: – VP Kamala Harris is praised for tackling homebuying issues and price gouging. – The Quote ID contest continues, with Gatsby fans winning this round. But the future looms ominous. Roxanne warns of: – Climate catastrophe and the elite's seeming desire to abandon Earth (à la Elon Musk). – Mass extermination ideologies cloaked in "Western civilization" rhetoric by white Christian nationalists. – The Georgia Guidestones as a metaphor for techno-dystopian “rebuilding” under authoritarian rule. – A creeping American imperial presidency, with comparisons to Rome's descent into empire. Despite it all, Roxanne returns to a core message: community, resistance, and clarity of thought are vital. Whether through mocking MAGAT nonsense or spotlighting real threats to democracy and the planet, the show calls for vigilance, truth-telling, and action.

Can you imagine a time when a U.S. President and a Canadian Prime Minister were friends? ... And said nice things about each other in public? ... And the nice things they said about each other in public were neither remarkable nor newsworthy? Well, here's proof that such a time once existed: "The fact that we go on, we got along, President Reagan and Prime Minister Mulroney, two some said Irish, we were Irish, now that I think of it, and we became friends. But more to the point. We recognized the importance of getting along. It sent a positive message not only to our senior officials and our governments to work together, but to the people of Canada and the United States." That was the Right Honourable Brian Mulroney, Prime Minister of Canada ... April 5th 1993 ... At a tribute in his honor ... Hosted by Ronald Reagan ...The event was held in Simi Valley California at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum. Not used to hearing such language? Want to hear Brian Mulroney say more lovely things about Ronald Reagan — and hear Ronald Reagan say lovely things about Brian Mulroney? In this riveting episode of Right on Radio, host Jeff delves deep into the unsettling developments across the globe, focusing particularly on the geopolitical shifts involving Canada. As April 29th marks a significant turning point with Canada's secession into the United States, Jeff unpacks the swift-moving global agendas at play. A key discussion point is the rise of Mark Carney as the new Canadian Prime Minister and the implications of his ties with globalist organizations such as the World Economic Forum (WEF) and McKinsey & Company. Throughout the episode, Jeff dissects the controversial Century Initiative, a strategic plan aiming to triple Canada's population by 2100, driven by figures like Dominic Barton and Mark Wiseman. He critically addresses the impact of this initiative on housing and wages, questioning who truly benefits from the mass immigration that it promotes. The episode is not just a commentary on Canada. Jeff connects the dots across nations, highlighting similar patterns in Australia, the UK, and the US. He explores the unsettling developments in international relations, including tensions between the US and Iran, the North Korean military involvement in Russia, and the nuclear-tinged animosities between India and Pakistan. Jeff also touches on the growing influence of AI and digital currency under figures like Trump, warning of increased surveillance and control. Amid these global upheavals, he emphasizes the importance of spiritual preparedness and offers a Christian perspective on navigating these prophetic times. Listeners are encouraged to tune in for a comprehensive understanding of these transformative events and to explore the call for spiritual and mental readiness in the face of rapid global change. Friday Focus provides listeners with a focused, half-hour masterclass on the big issues, events and trends driving the news and current events. The show features Janice Gross Stein, the founding director of the Munk School of Global Affairs and bestselling author, in conversation with Rudyard Griffiths, Chair and moderator of the Munk Debates. Rudyard and Janice begin today's show trying to make sense of Trump's tariff policy. Rudyard argues that Trump is not concerned with stock market losses if it means keeping promises to his voter base and reworking the American economy so it benefits blue collar workers, but tariffs are not going to bring their jobs back and will end up making everyone poorer. On the second half of the show Ruydyard and Janice turn to Canadian politics and the election of Mark Carney as Liberal Party leader, thus becoming Prime Minister of Canada. As much as we criticize politics in the US, here we have a PM who does not have a parliamentary seat, was not elected by the Canadian public, and is now representing Canada on the world stage. Meanwhile Canada's premiers are stepping in to negotiate trade deals with Washington while Ottawa takes a backseat. What is happening here? The Rich Zeoli Show- Hour 1: 3:05pm- The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs to win Super Bowl LIX. The final score was 40-22—but it wasn't even that close! Quarterback Jalen Hurts was named the game's MVP. 3:10pm- In his pre-Super Bowl interview with Brett Baier on Fox News, President Donald Trump defended his usage of tariffs against Canada, China, Mexico, and other countries—arguing that the tariffs are retaliatory, noting that the United States currently has a $350 billion trade deficit with Mexico alone. President Trump also insisted that making Canada the country's 51st state is a “real thing.” 3:25pm- Caught on a hot microphone, Canadian Prime Minister warned that President Donald Trump is serious about “absorbing” Canada. He explained: "They're very aware of our resources, of what we have, and they very much want to be able to benefit from those…But Mr. Trump has it in mind that one of the easiest ways of doing that is absorbing our country. And it is a real thing." 3:40pm- During Super Bowl LIX at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, the crowd roared with approval when President Donald Trump was flashed on the stadium's jumbotron. Popstar Taylor Swift, however, wasn't greeted with the same enthusiasm. When her image appeared on the same screen, the crowd mercilessly booed. According to a new CBS/YouGov poll, Trump currently enjoys a 53% approval rating.

According to The New York Times it costs 3.69 cents to produce a single penny—which means the U.S. loses nearly $85 million per year producing pennies. But will doing away with the penny result in a transition away from hard currency—ultimately meaning less privacy with each purchase? Rich notes, “failure of imagination will be the undoing of our civil liberties.” 6:30pm- On Monday, President Donald Trump signed an Executive Order reversing the Biden Administration's war on plastic straws. 6:40pm- While speaking with the press from the Oval Office, President Donald Trump said if Hamas does not release all of its hostages by Saturday at noon, all hell will break loose. 6:50pm- B ...
