A website popped up in April 2021 that provided unfiltered opinion pieces on pro pickleball. This website went by No Man's Land Pickleball (or NML Pickleball), and at the time, the two writers were anonymous and only went by the names Gritty and Slim. Gritty and Slim were anonymous for about a year, despite all of the speculation in figuring out who was behind the site. In April 2022, Gritty and Slim revealed themselves as Chris Ross and Jeremy Comazzetto, passionate 5.0 players and friends out of Canada. Now, Chris and Jeremy are hitting Pickler The Podcast with Stacie Townsend and John "The People's Champ" Davison to share more of their story and initial takes for the 2023 season. Tune in now!

Roger BelAir has been an advocate for the sport of pickleball for many years and was even a friend of one of the founders, Barney McCallum. BelAir is on a personal mission to share the game and all of the benefits that come with it with others. He has been featured on the front page of USA Today and also on Pickler (thanks to Pickler writer, Frank Cerabino). But, you may be surprised at which segment of the population he is bringing the power of pickleball to, as it may not be the first segment that comes to mind. Roger BelAir is responsible for bringing pickleball to the criminal justice system – in particular, some of our countries' largest institutions like Cook County Jail in Chicago or Rikers Island in New York City. Now, BelAir hits the mic on Pickler The Podcast, with co-hosts Stacie Townsend and John "The People's Champ" Davison, to tell us more about what drives him in sharing his time and services for free to bring pickleball to the criminal justice system, as well as how the sport of pickleball impacts detainees and inmates across the country. Pickleball is more popular with seniors than any other group, which is why this is so disturbing: A website called The Pickler just did a story on how NUDE pickleball is taking off. A women's church group tried to hike up a mountain in Phoenix yesterday to get "closer to God." A Burger King employee who received a lackluster gift of a goodie bag to celebrate his 27 year work anniversary went viral and has now received over $30K in donations from GoFundMe. A guy crashed his car and it flipped onto its side and Drake's music kept playing on the radio. Is This Anything? See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
CEO of DUPR, Jill Braverman, joins Pickler The Podcast co-hosts, Stacie Townsend and John "The People's Champ" Davison to discuss DUPR (which stands for Dynamic Universal Pickleball Ratings). DUPR is a pickleball ratings system that accurately predicted not only the winner of Major League Pickleball, but also the top four teams. But, DUPR is not just for the pros. Braverman explains what DUPR is, what goes into a rating, why the sport of pickleball is in an existential crisis without a quality ratings system, and how DUPR solves that crisis for pros, amateurs, tournament players, and recreational players alike. In this episode of Spill & Dish, Julie Gallagher, director of content at the SFA, chats with Field about his transition from a TV producer career at VH1; how he built an award-winning brand and forged relationships with foodservice heavy hitters like Shake Shack; and the one thing he recently did, that would only be done “over my dead body,” just a few years ago.Spill & Dish is Powered by Simplecast.
