Hey Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of I Left My Heart In Everwood: An Everwood Podcast. Today, I covered S1E5: Deer God, which aired on October 14, 2002. In this episode, After a lost deer makes the Browns' backyard its new home, Andy insists on accompanying Ephram, who decides to help the animal find its way home to the wilderness. Meanwhile, Ephram finally admits to Amy that he never asked his father to consider operating on her boyfriend, Colin, who is in a coma; and Delia questions the existence of God. I really enjoyed Andy and Ephram's journey with "Bambi" the deer and Ephram's realization that he can't go home again. I really enjoyed Harold and Amy's time spent working on his bio that she wrote for him in the Pinecone (Everwood's Newspaper) and Amy commenting on Harold's "boy crush" on Andy was hilarious. Delia searching for God in this episode while being babysat by Edna was heartwarming. I love their bond. Join me next month as I cover S1E6: The Doctor Is In, which aired on October 21, 2002. In this episode Amy is heartbroken and Ephram is furious when Andy decides against performing a risky operation on Amy's comatose boyfriend. As this is masterful film with many questions and few answers, most of this episode’s runtime is existential and ambiguous. At first we try to contextualize its depiction of indigenous peoples and the Muromashi period in our shaky understanding of Japanese history Is there a way to reconcile civilization and nature? Is this movie environmental centrism? Is the ending hopeful, bleak, or even cheap? What last 19th, early 20th century classical composer does the soundtrack borrow from the most? Chamberlain, Chance and Alex guarantee a much cleaner, nicer episode than last week in spite of the giggle worthy episode number. At least there are fewer apologies to be made this time. Chamberlain hates everything because he is done with Tales of Berseria but he at least gets to be right about The Deer God. Alex decided that playing something of quality again is better than playing new, bad games. In other words Persona 5 is just too sexy to walk away from. And Chance played with, and held his own against, some true Overwatch pros.

  Man has been exploiting nature since the first caveman picked up a rock and bludgeoned another to death with it. For the original Japanese it is starring Yoji Matsuda, Yuriko Ishida, Yuko Tanaka, Kaoru Kobayashi, Tsunehiko Kamijo, Sumi Shimamoto , Akihiro Miwa, and Hisaya Morishige But that's not all, our intrepid hosts also review the newest Studio Ghibli film, "Kari-gurashi no Arietti/ Arrietty/The Secret World of Arriety" which was directed by newcomer Hiromasa Yonebayashi and stars (well for the UK release anyway) Saoirse Ronan,Mark Strong, Olivia Colman, Like Allen-Gale, Tom Holland, Phyllida Law, Geraldine McEwan and Ray Gillon. For the original Japanese Dub we have Mirai Shida, Ryunosuke Kamiki, Shinobu Otake, Keiko Takeshita, Tatsuya Fujiwara, Tomokazu Miura, and Kirin Kik as the stars of the film. For the abysmal US Dubm there is Bridget Mendler, David Henrie, Amy Poehler, Gracie Poletti, Moises Arias, Will Arnett, and Carol Burnett. There is also an in depth discussion about the history of Studio Ghibli as well as some of the other things that Hayao Miyazaki has worked on in his long illustrious career.
