Danielle MacKinnon, a world-renowned animal communicator, recently shared her insights on the NHA Health Science Podcast hosted by Dr. Frank Sabatino. Known for her extraordinary ability to communicate with animals, Danielle's work goes beyond the ordinary, delving into the spiritual and emotional connections we share with our animal companions. Her unique approach to animal communication has garnered her global recognition, and during the podcast, she discussed not only her journey but also her dedication to a vegan lifestyle—a choice deeply intertwined with her work. The Journey to Becoming an Animal Communicator Danielle's path to becoming an animal communicator was not a straightforward one. Growing up as an avid animal lover, she felt a deep connection with animals from an early age. However, it wasn't until a pivotal moment involving her sick dog and an encounter with a pet psychic that she realized her true calling. This experience was a turning point, leading her to leave the corporate world and dedicate herself fully to animal communication. Her approach, which she terms "soul level animal communication," taps into the deeper, spiritual wisdom of animals, allowing them to communicate messages that go beyond the physical realm. Veganism plays a significant role in Danielle's life and work. As someone who communicates with animals on a profound level, she understands their emotions, fears, and desires in a way that few can. This deep empathy has naturally led her to adopt a vegan lifestyle, as she believes it aligns with the messages she receives from the animals. For Danielle, being vegan is not just about diet; it's about honoring the lives and wisdom of the animals she communicates with. She often shares that animals, in their spiritual form, are aware of the choices humans make, including the decision to consume or avoid animal products. Danielle's method, the "soul level animal communication method," involves more than just understanding an animal's physical needs. It's about connecting with their spiritual essence, recognizing that animals have a deep understanding of the world and can offer insights into our own lives. Whether it's a pet's anxiety signaling something amiss in their human's life or a rescue animal reflecting the need for healing and trust, Danielle's work shows that animals often have more to teach us than we realize. www.HealthScience.org/098-Danielle-MacKinnon

In this MUM episode, Spiritual Medium Jaime Breeze shares how relationships with pets transcend physical life and can continue through reincarnation. Jaime sheds light on how she communicates with animals on the other side, providing comfort to those who are grieving their animal companions, and emphasized the importance of acknowledging grief, encouraging individuals to honor their feelings and the memory of their pets through rituals and journaling.About Jaime Breeze:Born with an inner sense of ‘knowing', Jaime was aware of the Spirit World from a very young age. At 3 years old, she began speaking openly about her past lives and about ‘others' around her that nobody else could see. By the age of 16, Jaime had begun working with Spiritual Healers that taught her how to develop her natural gifts, harness her insights, and learn different healing modalities. Over the years, Jaime's fascination with Heaven, reincarnation, and with those who have crossed over, along with her training, has allowed her skills to flourish. In early 2016 however, Jaime suffered a great loss and battled with her first true experience of grief. After seeking guidance from grief counsellors and therapists, Jaime began to understand that navigating her grief would truly test her in ways she had never been tested before. There were no books to read, exercises to complete or steps to follow in order to help make the pain go away. Even the personal knowledge of life after death still did not bring her the healing or peace she so desperately needed.Months later while visiting with a friend, an image of a young man who we will call “Luke” appeared out of nowhere in front of her. Luke psychically communicated to Jaime who he was, how he passed and that he needed to deliver a message to his sister who was still on earth. Jaime couldn't deny what was happening so she quickly started telling her friend all about it. Her friend listened intently to what Jaime was relaying from this Spirit. To Jaime's surprise, her friend knew exactly who Luke was and was actually friends with Luke's sister who lived on the other side of the country! Jaime's friend quickly delivered this sacred message to Luke's sister whom had longed for some sign from her brother since the day he had passed. Reassured by his efforts to contact her, she now knew that although his physical form had moved on, he would always be there for her in spirit.Until this point in her life, Jaime had never experienced such a strong connection to a spirit. The energy Luke showed her, the love he had for his sister, and his concern for her was unfathomable. Not only did Luke find a portal of sorts to connect with his sister, he also gave Jaime back her hope and excitement for life again. It was during that moment that other spirits began appearing and Jaime realized she was to be a Spiritual Medium on a professional level. She knew that the time had come to embrace her gift and help both herself and others to communicate with those who had passed. Mediumship brought back a zest for life for Jaime. She now knew she needed to experience and understand what ultimate grief was before the doors to the other side could fully open. She understood now that her past experiences of lost love combined with her true understanding of grief and all its many intricacies gave her the life the purpose, she had long desired. Her intention, her goal, was now clear. Through the deliverance of messages and signs from those departed, she would use her skills to help people feel joy and purpose in their lives again and bring an element of peace and comfort to those souls left on earth to grieve.Link with Jaime:* Beyond the Rainbow Bridge Masterclass: A Pet Medium's Guide to Understanding Your Companion's Journey Through Death and the Afterlife* Instagram* Website***10% off any readings for Mum listenersMUM is produced by Ellen Wong and edited by Stepfanie Aguilar. You may have heard of animal chaplains. They are spiritual caregivers who provide support and comfort to individuals who are grieving the loss of a beloved companion animal or who are facing difficult decisions related to their pets' health and wellbeing. And then there's Scott Campbell, veterinary chaplain. Veterinary chaplains are rare in the United States. Scott is one of just a handful of these trained professionals who provide emotional and spiritual support to veterinary staff, in addition to pet guardians and the animals in veterinary settings. There are even fewer of them affiliated with a university, and Scott practices his craft at Washington State University, just down the road from me in Pullman, Washington. A veterinary chaplain's role may seem similar to that of a chaplain in human healthcare but individuals like Scott focus specifically on the unique challenges and emotional experiences within the veterinary medicine realm. Scott joins me on the podcast today to share his journey into veterinary chaplaincy and his passion for supporting the emotional well-being of pets, pet guardians and the world-class team at WSU, affectionately known in these parts as WAZZU. We talk about the challenges faced by the veterinary profession, including its high suicide rates, and how his own experiences are motivating him to establish the American Association for Veterinary Chaplains. Have a listen as Scott shares how he aims to alleviate the emotional burdens of the veterinary community and foster healing for those of us who suffer as our companion animals need care. What to listen for How Scott ensures WSU clients feel comfortable and heard Why a veterinary chaplain must be prepared to address a variety of belief structures The evolution of companion animals as family members in society What Scott finds more rewarding about veterinary chaplaincy Scott hosts a series of events called Celebration of Life and Remembrance for our Animal Companions for pet guardians to grieve and honor the lives of their precious babes. The event will feature a Remembrance Garland Ceremony, during which participants write messages on ribbons and attach them to a garland that's hung outside the Veterinary Teaching Hospital at WSU in Pullman. The next one is set for Saturday, April 13, at the Elson S. Floyd Cultural Center. It starts at 10:30 a.m., doors open at 10 a.m. and Scott suggests it's a good idea to arrive early to prepare a ribbon for the garland. Our pets are here to give us love and affection, to allow us the privilege of caring for another living being, and so much more. For many of us, our pets are an important source of love, and they will continue to be that even after their too-short lives come to an end: our pets ~ and animal companions of all kinds ~ will continue loving us even after they return to their spirit home. My best definition of Love? Lack of separation. As with family members and friends, losing an animal companion can be heartwrenching. And yet it's that very love that is the reason we can eternally connect with our pets in spirit. The Awakened Way teaches that we are part of one big web, and there is no doubt that our animal family members are as well. Listen in to hear some miraculous stories of signs from the souls of dogs and cats and what that means in the bigger picture (you don't have to be an animal lover to rejoice in the remarkable signs they can send from spirit). Familiars and Animal Companions in RPGs. This was a topic that Saul came up with and starting to talk to Jolene about her thoughts on the use of both in RPGs. The first RPG discussed was of course D&D from AD&D to 5th Edition but others were discussed and how different genres could have different iterations of a Familiar or Animal Companion. Saul and Jolene also discussed what a GM should consider when dealing with animals under the control of the PC. Or would the GM treat the familiar as an NPC instead of another PC character. As usual Saul digressed but Jolene really kept a tight rein on Saul and the discussion was almost all about Familiars and Animal Companions in RPGs. Thank you all for listening. Hello to you listening in Kampala, Uganda!Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Motivate Your Monday and your host, Diane Wyzga. You might notice that I'll be dipping into the podcast archives to give you something to listen to this week. Why? Because on Friday the 1st of December I had to keep a promise to Gus the Good. Gus was the last of my 4 kitties, 3 of whom came with me to Whidbey Island and have gone on ahead over the Rainbow Bridge.Gus was a senior fellow. Been with me some 17 years or so since I brought him home from the no-kill pet shelter along with his sister, Kayak. Someone had dumped the litter in a bin outside a convenience store. He's weathered many changes: losing his mates, moving from household to household, now age and kidney disease. The thing about Gus is that he took it all in stride. He asked for what he wanted when he wanted it. He snoozed in the sun of an afternoon. The morning was not complete until he got his brushing. I can tell you I've curried horses in less time! He figured out how to claim his spot on the bed and the pillow so I had to adjust to him. No matter my mood or attitude he was ready to hand out his personal brand of affection: face licking.I think the most common thought shared by all of us who have had to make the decision when to let our animal companions go to their final sleep is: I did it too soon or I did it too late. I hear you. My promise to Gus was that I'd walk him to the Rainbow Bridge a little early so that he would not have to suffer. Did I make the right choice? Here's what our compassionate Whidbey Island house calls vet said: “Better to go on a good day than a bad day.” It was a good day for keeping promises. So I hope you understand if right now I don't have what it takes to create a week's worth of new episodes.Question: What have your animal companions taught you about life, love and loss? You're always invited: “Come for the stories - stay for the magic!” Speaking of magic, would you subscribe, share a 5-star rating + nice review on your social media or podcast channel of choice, and join us next time!Meanwhile, stop by my Quarter Moon Story Arts website to:✓ Check out What I Offer,✓ Arrange your free Story Start-up Session,✓ Opt In to my monthly NewsAudioLetter for bonus gift, valuable tips & techniques to enhance your story work, and✓ Stay current with Diane on LinkedIn.Stories From Women Who Walk Production TeamPodcaster: Diane F Wyzga & Quarter Moon Story ArtsMusic: Mer's Waltz from Crossing the Waters by Steve Schuch & Night Heron MusicAll content and image © 2019 to Present Quarter Moon Story Arts. Today we talk about our absolute favorite animals in video games, movies, tv. and we rank our lists
Dogs are the best kind of teachers because they teach us just by being themselves. Wilson describes the undiluted love of a dog when we come home after an absence, “You can have a stressful day but having a dog greet you just changes everything.” Dog and cat companions have much to teach us if we take the time to pay attention and open ourselves enough to listen and learn. Hersch Wilson is an organizational consultant, pilot, former professional dancer, newspaper columnist, and 30-year volunteer firefighter-EMT. He is also a consultant who has worked extensively with leadership teams from a variety of organizations including IBM Japan, the US Postal Service, and the CIA, to name a few. He writes a monthly column on dogs for the Santa Fe New Mexican. He lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico with his wife Laurie, a daughter, and two dogs, a Great Pyrenees and a Chihuahua-Terrier mix. He is the author of Play to Win!: Choosing Growth Over Fear In Work And Life (coauthor with his late father, Larry Wilson)(Bard Press; Revised Edition 2004), Firefighter Zen: A Field Guide To Thriving In Tough Times (New World Library 2020) and Dog Lessons: Learning the Important Stuff from Our Best Friends (New World Library 2023)Interview Date: 9/11/2023 Tags: Hersch Wilson, dogs, animal guardians, veterinary care, pet insurance, animal shelters, Animals

A tender episode for our latest podcast in a share around how we are navigating and moving through both the physical loss of our beloved gaurdian dog Odin and the journey of conversation of transition with our mare Ostara. It felt important to honor both of these wise beings by sharing their journey and our hopes is it will help provide some comfort if you are also walking this path. How do we honor the journey of our animals when they choose to leave, regardless of the journey they take? How do we tend to our own grief? How do we navigate that inquiry of is it time yet? Gratitude to Odin and Ostara for offering their wisdom through this process.

Do you want to learn how to be with your animal for healing? Jin Shin Jyutsu is an ancient hands-on Art for energizing the body, mind and spirit. Jin Shin Jyutsu for Your Animal Companion is a direct outgrowth of Jin Shin Jyutsu (JSJ) as practiced by thousands of people who receive sessions and practice daily self-help. This Art allows the body to release the tensions which can cause symptoms and negative attitudes. Adele Leas is an internationally known teacher and proponent of JSJ for animals. Originally a practitioner of this Art for humans, Adele's expertise lies in comprehending the balancing of body/mind/spirit in diverse species…and in seeing the universality of the application of the work no matter who one is sharing it with. Adele is the author of Jin Shin Jyutsu for Your Animal Companion, now in its sixth printing. Adele has had animal clients and taught JSJ animal classes for more than twenty-six years.
