BadVolf: The true story of an American cop's retaliation against a corrupt system of justice and politics, forcing him to seek political asylum in RussiaThis true story is about John Mark Dougan, a Marine Corps veteran and former police officer who had enough of the violence and crime plaguing the Criminal Justice system. He blew the whistle and was retaliated against by the police administration. Dougan started setting up whistleblower websites all around the country for good cops to spill their secrets without fear or retribution. The justice system launched illegal investigation after investigation into every aspect of John's life, and John set up a clever operation to trick them into admitting they were illegally accessing his email and social media accounts. When the FBI ignored John's demands for an investigation, he became BadVolf, starting a digital war with the very law enforcement agencies who were retaliating against him. John tricked everyone, including the media, into believing he was a Russian hacker before engaging in a strategic, one-man campaign of disinformation, fake news, hacking, social engineering and doxing. John did all the activities that people love to blame on Russia, except he did it as an American citizen, on American soil; retribution and deception the only way to fight back against criminals in charge of local, state and federal American law enforcement agencies. After an eight-year-long battle, the Federal Bureau of Investigation raided Dougan's home, ordering surveillance teams to follow and attempt to capture him at any cost. Dougan however, had other plans; he donned a disguise and slipped away into exile using the skills acquired in the Marine Corps, police agencies and from working with technology. This is the story of how BadVolf was created, and the resulting two-week long escape from these badge-toting criminals is a riveting story that led John to obtain political asylum in Russia.https://amzn.to/4eY1ZjJBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-opperman-report--1198501/support.
Is It Possible to Spend Too Little in Retirement? Episode 390 – It has been well documented that the biggest fear people have in retirement is running out of money. Incredibly, according to a 2024 survey done by Allianz Life, 63 percent of Americans are more fearful about running out of money than they are about dying. But is it possible to overdo it? More SML Planning Minute Podcast Episodes Transcript of Podcast Episode 390 Hello, this is Bill Rainaldi, with another edition of Security Mutual's SML Planning Minute. In today's episode: is it possible to spend too little in retirement? It has been well documented that the biggest fear people have in retirement is running out of money. Incredibly, according to a 2024 survey by Allianz Life, 63 percent of Americans were more fearful about running out of money than they were about dying.[1] That may be taking things to an extreme, but there's a valid point. It's perfectly reasonable to worry about running dry when you're used to a certain lifestyle and you no longer have a steady paycheck. And mortality tables these days are more favorable than many people realize. For example, the odds are better than 50-50, if you're a married couple both age 62, that at least one of you is going to live past age 90.[2] So, you may have to figure out a spending plan—without the employment income you've become used to—for potentially 30 years or more. Retirement is a huge turning point in most people's lives. You're switching from a savings and accumulation mindset to one where you're living (at least partially) off of those savings. You might have gotten used to seeing your net worth go up considerably over the last few years. But for most of us, those days are over once you make the crossover. It's a major psychological barrier, so of course you're going to be concerned about overspending. But how much is too much, or more appropriately, how little is too little? Do you think you might look back during your last years, and feel like you could have done more with your family, and you don't really need all that money you have now? The risks of overspending, particularly in the early years of retirement, should be obvious. But what exactly are the risks of underspending? According to an article by Greg Iacurci for CNBC, one big risk is “Not living as fulfilling a life as one could have.”[3] This could mean foregoing a big family trip, that could give your children and grandchildren memories to last a lifetime, because you're afraid you're going to run out of money years down the road. Then there's the issue of inheritance. Many parents hope to leave a certain amount of money to their children and grandchildren when they're gone. That could be a factor in your calculation. Cutting back on your spending now would likely benefit them later on. But is it worth it? But perhaps there's another way. How about purchasing some additional life insurance? The right amount of life insurance might make you more comfortable with the idea of living the life you've already earned. It's a straightforward idea: the more life insurance you have, the less you need to worry about your kids' inheritance. There is data to indicate that underspending is more common than people realize.[4] In a recent study by the Employee Benefit Research Institute, 33 percent of retirees still have 100 percent or more of their initial savings amount remaining by the time they get to their mid-80s.[5] Recent medical developments have complicated the equation. Progress against diseases such as cancer, Alzheimer’s and heart disease could extend all of our lives further than we expected. That is, of course, great news. But it could cause some financial complications. Another approach, advanced by some, is that we need to adjust our spending based on what “phase” of retirement we are in. The argument goes that there are three “phases” of retirement: the “go-go,” the “slow-go” and the “no-go” years.[6] You're certainly less likely to be travelling the world during your declining years, so chances are you'll be spending less. It could be a way to justify spending more during the early “go-go” years, although you also need to consider the possibility of increased health care costs during your later “no go” years. So why wouldn't you spend a little extra while you have the opportunity to enjoy it? The truth is that every situation is different, and there's no one correct answer. It is possible to spend too little during retirement, but the consequences of spending too much can be far more significant. Perhaps the best you can do is focus on time with your family. Quality time creates lasting memories. That could mean a few vacations to exotic places, but it doesn't have to be that way. Sometimes a simple visit or gesture can go just as far. The transition to retirement is filled with uncertainty. “Have I saved enough?”, “How long will my savings last?”, “Can I afford to live it up a little bit?” Such questions will likely arise, but you don't need to go it alone. Former Marine and former Sheriff's Deputy John Mark Dougan rejoins the program to discuss the controversial biolabs in Ukraine that he investigated and reported on years ago. In 2021, Dougan published reports detailing the existence of biolabs operating in Ukraine, only to be aggressively dismissed by mainstream media and labeled a Russian disinformation asset. Now, following the June 12th release of recently declassified documents by the Director of National Intelligence showing U.S. funding connected to approximately 120 biolabs in 30 countries—including roughly 40 in Ukraine—Dougan argues that the evidence validates key aspects of his earlier reporting. In this discussion, Dougan shares what he uncovered, why the topic became so politically charged, and how media organizations responded to those who questioned official narratives. He explains the smear campaigns directed at journalists and researchers who investigated the issue and discusses what these newly released documents reveal about government transparency, public trust, and the information war surrounding Ukraine. What really happened with the biolabs in Ukraine? Were legitimate questions deliberately dismissed? And what does this mean for the public's ability to separate truth from propaganda in an increasingly polarized media environment? You can follow John Mark Dougan's work at https://badvolf.com/See the Deep Dive Peptide Replay at https://sarahwestall.substack.com/p/replay-deep-dive-peptide-webinar

In this episode of the Epigenetics Podcast, we talked with Iva Tchasovnikarova from the Wellcome Trust Cancer Research UK Gurdon Institute about her work on heterochromatin formation and epigenetic control. We begin with Dr. Tchasovnikarova's journey into the field of biology, tracing her roots back to her formative years and the pragmatic guidance of her parents. Despite initial uncertainty about her career path, it was her mother's passion for teaching biology that ultimately inspired her to pursue a degree in the subject. As Dr. Tchasovnikarova introduces her current role as a group leader at the Gurdon Institute and an assistant professor at the University of Cambridge, she highlights her early work during her PhD which yielded a first-author publication in Science. She reflects on the serendipitous aspects of this experience, detailing a project where she utilised a novel genetic screening system to uncover a repressor complex named HUSH, a pivotal discovery that has implications for understanding transcriptional repression mechanisms in vertebrates. The conversation progresses into her postdoctoral research, where she further explored the HUSH complex's role alongside another complex, HUSH2. This expansion of her research reveals fascinating insights into how these complexes interact and their potential significance in regulating gene expression, particularly concerning immune responses to viral infections. Dr. Tchasovnikarova outlines her systematic approach to unraveling these complexities, emphasizing the role of reporter systems and genetic screens in uncovering uncharacterized genes and their functions. In discussing her transition to starting her own lab, Dr. Tchasovnikarova shares her excitement about utilizing methods she developed during her postdoc to discover new regulatory mechanisms. She describes specific experiments that have led to groundbreaking findings, including the characterization of CRAMP1, a regulator of linker histones, which plays a crucial role in the function of the polycomb repressive complex. The intricate relationships between these elements underscore her commitment to understanding the nuances of epigenetic regulation and genome stability. References Tchasovnikarova, I. A., Timms, R. He describes the internal outrage within local law enforcement as deputies watched Epstein receive treatment that, in their view, stood in stark contrast to how an ordinary accused sex offender would have been handled. Mark John Dougan, a former Palm Beach County deputy sheriff who later fled to Russia, has claimed that Jeffrey Epstein's homes were heavily wired with cameras and that “thousands” of tapes existed documenting sexual encounters with wealthy and powerful figures. He has argued that law enforcement deliberately overlooked or failed to secure this evidence, suggesting that the missing recordings were the result of collusion or a cover-up. Dougan also alleged that Epstein was granted privileges in jail that no ordinary inmate would receive, including favorable deputies overseeing his confinement, further pointing to special treatment. In his telling, Epstein's entire operation functioned as a blackmail machine designed to ensnare and control elites. However, these claims remain unverified and highly controversial. Dougan is widely seen as a conspiracy figure, and no independent evidence has surfaced to support his assertions about tapes or DVDs. Critics note his history of legal troubles in the U.S., his relocation to Russia, and his ties to disinformation activity—all of which undermine his credibility. While his statements have gained traction in some circles hungry for answers, mainstream investigators and journalists caution that his claims should be viewed with skepticism until corroborated by reliable evidence.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.
The head of Autism New Zealand has voiced concerns with the latest claims out of the Trump administration. US President Donald Trump made claims linking autism to vaccines, as well as the use of paracetamol in pregnancy. Medsafe says there's no proven link between paracetamol and autism. Any connection between vaccines and autism has been well debunked. Autism NZ chief executive Dane Dougan says these types of statements are 'harmful' - as they place undue blame on pregnant women. "There's a real risk that we're going to have premature medical endorsements over in the United States for things that don't have any cause or link at all at this point in time. So it's really, really concerning." LISTEN ABOVESee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

OPENLANE senior director of business intelligence Forrest Dougan joins the show to discuss the analytics and data science side of wholesale automotive. Dougan talks with Cherokee Media Group senior editor Joe Overby about where wholesale prices and sales volumes are heading, trends within the various consignor segments, the impact of lower off-lease volumes, the growth in electric vehicles at wholesale and how the remarketing industry is using data science in decision-making.
Earlier this week, journalists at WIRED and The Washington Post reported that a “Russian-aligned propaganda network notorious for creating deepfake whistleblower videos” appears to be behind a coordinated effort to promote false sexual misconduct allegations against vice presidential candidate Tim Walz. At WIRED, David Gilbert wrote that researchers have linked a group they're calling “Storm-1516” to the campaign against Walz. “Storm-1516 has a long history of posting fake whistleblower videos, and often deepfake videos, to push Kremlin talking points to the West,” Gilbert explained. A few days earlier, NBC News also reported on Storm-1516, citing its work as demonstrative of Russian propaganda's growing utilization of artificial intelligence and more sophisticated bot networks. Two days after the WIRED report, Washington Post journalist and Russia expert Catherine Belton reported on another bad actor implicated in spreading the allegations against Walz: John Mark Dougan, a former Florida cop with a long and winding record that includes internal affairs investigations, early discharge from the Marines, and a penchant for posting confidential data about thousands of police officers, federal agents, and judges on his blog, which led to 21 state charges of extortion and wiretapping. To escape that indictment, Dougan fled to Moscow, where he soon put his conspiratorial blogging skills to work, effectively enlisting in the Russian intelligence community's “Internet war” against America. Records show and disinformation researchers argue that Dougan is responsible for content on dozens of fake news sites with deliberately misleading names like DC Weekly, Chicago Chronicle, and Atlanta Observer. Lately, he's reportedly started using a GRU-facilitated server and AI generator to create phony videos like the deepfake video showing one of Walz's former students accusing him of sexual abuse. With a little more than a week until the U.S. presidential election, Meduza spoke to Renée DiResta — the author of Invisible Rulers: The People Who Turn Lies Into Reality and an associate research professor at Georgetown University's McCourt School of Public Policy — about Russian propaganda, how it's evolved over the years, and how American social networks are responding (and not responding) ahead of the November 2024 vote. Guest Overview: John Mark Dougan is a former US Marine, and deputy sheriff. He fled the USA and asked for political asylum in Russia. He has been accused of being a main source of Russian disinformation targeting western democracies by the New York Times and the diplomatic service of the European Union. Dugan fell from grace in the USA by being a very active investigator against Jeffrey Epstein very early on, by later reporting on US Biolabs in Ukraine and by publishing the letter of a diving coordinator of the 2022 BALTOPS NATO exercise, accusing the US CIA divers from Panama City, Florida to have probably planted the explosives at the Nordstream pipeline - as Seymour Hersh later reported and for which Prof. Ola Tunander has found supporting evidence.
John Mark Dougan has claimed for years now that he has tapes of Epstein's disgusting friends engaging in disgusting acts. However, besides making the claim time and time again, no videos have ever been produced by Mr. Dougan, who fled to Russia before he could be arrested. Dougan is an ex police officer who says that he was targeted after becoming a whistleblower and that his home was raided in 2016 due to the content on his hard drive. The only problem with Mr. Dougans story is: There is no proof. In this episode we once again take a look at the claims made by Mr. Dougan and see if there is any validity to the claims being made.(commercial at 9:33)to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comEx-cop claims he has sex tape of Prince Andrew filmed by Epstein stashed away - and FBI knows about it | The SunBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.
Beetle…why oh why did you have to pick those items up? Look at you now! What exactly will this mean for our party going forward? I hope the ramifications aren't too bad. I guess they can figure things out when they get back to Goodmead, right? I have no idea. Any thoughts, Mad Hedman? Sound effects courtesy of Zapsplat.

Contributor: Travis Barlock, MD Educational Pearls: Cancer-related emergencies can be sorted into a few buckets: Infection Cancer itself and the treatments (chemotherapy/radiation) can be immunosuppressive. Look out for conditions such as sepsis and neutropenic fever. Obstruction Cancer causes a hypercoagulable state. Look out for blood clots which can cause emergencies such as a pulmonary embolism, stroke, superior vena cava (SVC) syndrome, and cardiac tamponade. Metabolic Cancer can affect the metabolic system in a variety of ways. For example, certain cancers like bone cancers can stimulate the bones to release large amounts of calcium leading to hypercalcemia. Tumor lysis syndrome is another consideration in which either spontaneously or due to treatment, tumor cells will release large amounts of electrolytes into the bloodstream causing hyperuricemia, hyperkalemia, hyperphosphatemia, and hypocalcemia. Medication side effect Immunomodulators can have strange side effects. A common one to know is Keytruda (pembrolizumab), which can cause inflammation in any organ. So if you have a cancer patient on immunomodulators with any inflammatory changes (cystitis, colitis, pneumonitis, etc), talk to oncology about whether steroids are indicated. Chemotherapy can cause tumor lysis syndrome (see above), and multiple chemotherapeutics are known to cause heart failure (doxorubicin, trastuzumab), kidney failure (cisplatin), and pulmonary toxicity (bleomycin). In this episode, Dr. Anji Buckner-Capone and Dr. Marcelle Dougan discuss college students' perceptions on COVID-19 vaccine mandates and their vaccine hesitancy. They remind us of the need to accessibility and trust when researching contentious topics, and their neutral language allowed students to express their polarizing views. This episode references the article titled "Mandating COVID-19 Vaccination on Campus: A Qualitative Analysis of a Cross-Sectional Study of California College Students" by Anji Buckner-Capone, EdD, MPH and Marcelle Dougan, ScD, MPH, MEng.
