Thomas deed ook mee maar meer met de Olympische gedachte. Alhoewel de Duitser die hij een kopstoot gaf in de sprint daar wellicht anders over denkt. Daarna gaat het als snel over de koers want het gaat weer beginnen. De Omloop. De eerste koers in Vlaanderen. De mannen laten hun licht schijnen en wagen zich aan een voorspelling. In de zomerserie van Argos ‘Luizen in de pels' vertellen collega onderzoekjournalisten over hun werk, hun scoops en hun werkmethode. Vandaag zijn Misha Wessel en Thomas Blom te gast die samen onderzoeksjournalistieke televisie-documentaires maken. Het duo maakte onder andere onthullende portretten over de oud-premiers Ruud Lubbers en Wim Kok, maar ook een documentaire over doping in de Tour de France van 1998 toen de TVM-ploeg van Cees Priem uit de strijd werd gehaald. Een van hun laatste documentaires gaat over de jacht op de verdwenen miljarden van Muammar Gaddaffi, de Libische dictator die in 2011 ten val kwam. Vlak voor zijn val verscheepte hij maar liefst 12,5 miljard in contanten die nooit werden teruggevonden.
