  «Pero el jefe de la sinagoga se enojó porque Jesús la había sanado en el día de reposo, así que le dijo a la gente: «Hay seis días en los que se puede trabajar. Para ser sanados, vengan en esos días; pero no en el día de reposo» (Lucas 13:14) La religión es peligrosa. La religión prefiere debatir la sanidad, que ver a alguien sano. La religión prefiere discutir acerca de la liberación, que ver a alguien libre. En Lucas capítulo 13, podemos observar un claro ejemplo de esto. Jesús sanó a una mujer que había estado encorvada por 18 años. Imagínatelo: una pobre anciana —a la que Jesús llamó hija de Abraham— a quien liberó después de haber estado atada por el diablo por casi dos décadas. Era de esperar que los líderes del templo se regocijaran por lo que Jesús había hecho. Pero, ¡no! Más bien se enojaron porque había sanado en el día equivocado. ¿Sabes qué es lo peor? Esos mismos líderes religiosos, que criticaron a Jesús por sanar en el día de reposo, pudieron haberle ministrado sanidad a esa mujer en cualquier otro día de la semana, si en realidad les hubiera importado hacerlo. Por ese motivo, Jesús se indignó con ellos. Jesús ministró respaldado por el mismo pacto de Abraham que ellos tenían, pero su religión había tenido atada a esa mujer en lugar de haberla liberado. Siempre sucede así. Recuerda eso la próxima vez que alguien trate de debatir sobre la sanidad o la liberación. Si alguien necesita ser liberado de un demonio, ¡sólo hazlo! No te enredes en cuestiones teológicas tratando de averiguar dónde está el demonio. "¿Estará en el cuerpo?, ¿en el cerebro?, ¿en el espíritu?, o quizás ¿en el bolsillo?" Mientras piensas en esas cosas, el demonio estará volviendo loca a la pobre persona. La pregunta no es: "¿dónde está el demonio?", sino "¿por qué no hemos liberado a esa persona?" Es nuestro prójimo, y en el Nombre de Jesús ¡debe ser libre! Una vez que te hagas esa pregunta, no te importará si el demonio está adentro, afuera, suspendido en el aire o reposando. Lo único que te importará es que esa persona sea libre. Ésa es la diferencia entre la religión y el amor de Dios. La religión discute. El amor actúa. Escoge el amor, hoy. Sofonías 3: 17, RV95¿Alguna vez te has imaginado a Dios cantando? ¿Cómo crees que sonaría? ¿Sobre qué temas cantaría? A mediados del siglo XX el profesor y escritor J. R. R. Tolkien, reconocido por sus obras El Hobbit y El señor de los anillos, se imaginó la creación del universo ficticio donde se desarrollan sus historias como una gran canción entonada por Eru, el creador de este universo ficticio, y sus ayudantes, los Valar.* Según Tolkien el mundo es producto del canto de Eru; y la maldad es consecuencia de la disonancia introducida por una de sus criaturas: Melkor.Aunque la idea del profesor Tolkien me parece interesante, no puedo negar que me gusta mucho más lo que dicen las Sagradas Escrituras sobre la razón que mueve a Dios a entonar un cántico. El profeta Sofonías relaciona el canto de Dios con su obra redentora, diciendo que Dios es «poderoso y te salvará» y cuando te haya salvado, «se regocijará por ti con cánticos». ¿No te parece hermosa esa idea? Cada vez que una de sus criaturas se arrepiente, Dios entona una canción de alegría.En Lucas 15, Jesús amplió la escena para incluir también a los ángeles. El Maestro dijo que «hay alegría entre los ángeles de Dios por un pecador que se convierte» (Lucas 15: 10). El cantante cristiano David Phelps, en su canción My Child is Coming Home, se imagina la escena de esta manera: «Dios solo canta cuando un alma perdida cree [...]. Dios mismo dirige el coro y la banda de bienvenida y luego él canta: "Abran las puertas de perla. Construyan otra mansión al lado de la mía. Todos griten de alegría alrededor del trono. Coloquen otro lugar en la mesa. Toquen la trompeta fuerte y claro. Aleluya, mi hijo viene a casa"».Al iniciar este día, Dios desea entonar una vez más su canción de gozo y celebración. Quizás estoy escribiendo estas líneas para ti que todavía no has tomado la decisión de entregar tu vida a Jesús, o tal vez necesites renovar tu compromiso con el Señor. Cualquiera que sea tu caso, hoy puedes colocar una sonrisa en el rostro de Dios. Puedes hacerlo cantar de alegría. Solo tienes que dejar que él te salve. 

Sirves para ser aceptado… o porque ya fuiste transformado? En Lucas 8 descubrimos a mujeres que seguían a Jesús no por obligación, sino por gratitud radical. Su servicio no era transaccional, era doxológico. No servían para ser liberadas; servían porque habían sido liberadas.   «Porque el ocuparse de la carne es muerte, pero el ocuparse del Espíritu es vida y paz». (Romanos 8:6) Si te dieran a escoger entre la vida y la muerte, ¿cuál escogerías? La respuesta parece obvia, pero en realidad no lo es. Elegir la muerte no significa saltar del puente más cercano; es mucho más sutil que eso. La Biblia dice que ocuparse de la carne y enredarse en el mundo es muerte. La Biblia también dice que la Palabra de Dios es vida: «Hijo mío, presta atención a mis palabras… Ellas son vida…» (Proverbios 4:20-22). Ocuparse del mundo es muerte. Ocuparse de la Palabra es vida. En Lucas 10, hay una historia que ilustra muy bien este principio: Es la historia de María y Marta. Quizás tú la recuerdas. María estaba sentada a los pies de Jesús oyéndolo enseñar mientras que Marta, muy afanada, estaba en la cocina preparando el almuerzo para todos. Por fin, Marta no soportó más. «…Se acercó a Jesús y le dijo: «Señor, ¿no te importa que mi hermana me deje trabajar sola? ¡Dile que me ayude!» Jesús le respondió: «Marta, Marta, estás preocupada y aturdida con muchas cosas. Pero una sola cosa es necesaria. María ha escogido la mejor parte, y nadie se la quitará.»» (Lucas 10:40-42). María había dejado todo a un lado para oír la Palabra. Pero Marta había dejado que los asuntos de la vida, aparentemente importantes, tomaran prioridad sobre la Palabra. Había elegido la muerte en lugar de la vida. ¿Ves lo fácil que es caer en esa trampa? Podrías decir: “Pero, hermano Copeland, si yo no pasara todo mi tiempo atendiendo los asuntos de la vida, terminaría fracasando”. ¿De veras? Marta probablemente pensó lo mismo. Probablemente pensó que si no preparaba el almuerzo para toda esa gente, pasarían hambre. Pero no hubiera sido así. Jesús había alimentado milagrosamente a multitudes, y Él podía hacerlo otra vez en la casa de Marta. Ella pudo haberse sentado a los pies de Jesús y haber disfrutado de un banquete costeado por Dios. No cometas el mismo error que Marta. No te enredes tanto en los asuntos de la vida para que no escojas, por descuido, la muerte. Decide poner la Palabra en primer lugar. ¡Escoge la vida!   «Éste es mi mandamiento para ustedes: Que se amen unos a otros» (Juan 15:17) En Lucas 6:47-48, Jesús dijo: «Les voy a decir como quién es el que viene a mí, y oye mis palabras y las pone en práctica: Es como quien, al construir una casa, cava hondo y pone los cimientos sobre la roca. En caso de una inundación, si el río golpea con ímpetu la casa, no logra sacudirla porque está asentada sobre la roca». Probablemente recuerdes ese pasaje. Pero hoy quiero que hagas algo diferente con él. Quiero que lo unas con lo que Jesús dijo en Juan 15:17: «Éste es mi mandamiento para ustedes: Que se amen unos a otros». El amor. Esa palabra resume todo lo que Jesús nos ordenó que hiciéramos. Si edificas tu vida sobre el amor, ni siquiera las tormentas más violentas de este mundo podrán sacudirte. El amor te hará resistente en todas las áreas de tu vida. Si edificas tu familia sobre el amor podrás recuperar a los que el diablo te ha robado. Tú los puedes ganar para Jesús con el amor de Dios. Si edificas tu negocio o empresa sobre el amor, prosperarás más allá de lo que puedas imaginarte. Yo tenía un amigo que hizo eso. Montó un negocio de radio y televisión en su iglesia. Él quería comprar una emisora de radio que pertenecía a un judío, y le ofreció un precio tan bueno por ella que éste se quedó sorprendido. «¿Por qué me has ofrecido un precio tan estupendo?», le preguntó el propietario. Mi amigo le dijo: «Porque la Palabra de Dios dice que si te bendigo, Dios me bendecirá. Por lo tanto, procuraré que salgas con lo mejor de este negocio». Antes de cerrar el contrato, el judío dueño de la emisora había recibido a Jesucristo como el Señor de su vida. Los dos prosperaron y predicaron el evangelio de Jesucristo por medio de esta emisora. Cuando el amor reina, ¡la prosperidad fluye! Decídete hoy a andar en amor y a edificar tu casa sobre la roca. Así, cuando las tormentas de la vida azoten tu hogar, el trabajo o cualquier otra cosa, podrás estar tranquilo y seguro en el conocimiento de que el amor nunca falla. Dará vida eterna a los que siguen haciendo el bien, pues de esa manera demuestran que buscan la gloria, el honor y la inmortalidad que Dios ofrece; pero derramará su ira y enojo sobre los que viven para sí mismos, los que se niegan a obedecer la verdad y, en cambio, viven entregados a la maldad”, “Y el mensaje que proclamo es que se acerca el día en que Dios juzgará, por medio de Cristo Jesús, la vida secreta de cada uno”.Para Dios lo mas importante es tu vida secreta, a Dios le interesa no lo que el mundo ve, sino lo que nadie puede ver, lo que sucede en lo intimo y en lo reservado de nuestro ser,Muchos piensan que pueden seguir aparentando una vida espiritual, una gran familia, una gran estabilidad, aunque por dentro tienen los peores y mas grandes pecados ocultos; sino colocamos en orden nuestras áreas secretas, el enemigo va a traer desorden y caos en nuestra vida pública.En Romanos 2:4-8 el apóstol Pablo nos enseña tres principios que debemos poner por obra:No desprecies la bondad de Dios: Pablo afirma con énfasis “¿No te das cuenta de lo bondadoso, tolerante y paciente que es Dios contigo? ¿Acaso eso no significa nada para ti? ¿No ves que la bondad de Dios es para guiarte a que te arrepientas y abandones tu pecado? Lo primero que debemos entender es que el pecado te quita y la bondad te da. La gente que ha sido limpiada por la Palabra, la gente que ha sido perdonada por el Señor y sigue insistiendo en pecados en su vida secreta, esta pisoteando la sangre de Cristo. Tanta bondad de Dios que requiere de nosotros gratitud y por esa gratitud dejamos el pecado, dejamos la practica de la maldad y que comencemos a vivir la vida que Dios espera de nosotros, pero si seguimos viviendo y practicando el pecado, lo único que queda es una cosecha de consecuencias destructivas para nuestras vidas. Dios sigue buscando una Iglesia santa, sin mancha y sin arruga.Responder a la bondad de Dios con compromiso hace que las puertas de bendición se abran, pero responder a la bondad de Dios con pecado hará que las puertas de bendición se cierren; creo que a muchos se les ha cerrado la puerta de la bendición y la única manera que la gracia, el amor y la bondad de Dios regresen a tu vida, es apartar el pecado de tu vida secreta.No seas terco como la mula: Pablo continua diciendo “Pero eres terco y te niegas a arrepentirte y abandonar tu pecado, por eso vas acumulando un castigo terrible para ti mismo”;  Las consecuencias del pecado son acumulables, los pecados que no lleves delante del Señor para confesión y arrepentimiento, siguen en tu vida como una bomba de tiempo, esperando el peor momento para explotar, esta escrito en Proverbios 28:13 "El que encubre su pecado no prosperará, mas el que los confiesa y se aparta alcanzará misericordia”; cuanto mas guardes el pecado, mas daño te hará. La gente aprendió a vivir sin pecados públicos, pero aprendieron a convivir con pecados secretos como conversaciones que no deberían estar, chismes que no deberían mantenerse, fornicaciones que deberían parar, adulterios que deberían frenar y siempre decimos: “Nadie se da cuenta”, no llames bendición a lo que conseguiste con pecado, recuerda que lo que el pecado te da, siempre te lo quita, Dios sabe cuando ponerle freno al pecado secreto para volverte a la disciplina ya que la disciplina te hace bien, te hace sentir firme y te hace volver a Dios, el arrepentirte te devuelve a la gracia y al favor del Dios bueno, abundante y Santo. En Lucas 8:17 "Porque nada hay oculto que no haya de ser manifestado, ni escondido, que no haya de ser conocido, y de salir a luz”. Si esto que acabamos de leer no te alienta a honrar y exaltar al Señor, es porque definitivamente no quieres llevar una vida transformada y en santidad delante de Dios.Recuerda que Dios nos juzgará algún día: Aquí me quiero referir al evangelio que se predica hoy, lleno de herejías destructoras, como esta escrito en 2ª Pedro 2:1-3 “Pero hubo también falsos profetas entre el pueblo, como habrá entre vosotros falsos maestros, que introducirán encubiertamente herejías destructoras, y aun negarán al Señor que los rescató, atrayendo sobre sí mismos destrucción repentina. Y muchos seguirán sus disoluciones, por causa de los cuales el camino de la verdad será blasfemado, y por avaricia harán mercadería de vosotros con palabras fingidas. Sobre los tales ya de largo tiempo la condenación no se tarda, y su perdición no se duerme” enseñanzas de “super fe”, pactos de prosperidad, ídolos musicales, predicadores al gusto del cliente, un mercado de la fe, libertinaje, abandono de la Palabra, codicia encubierta, humanismo, psicología, falsas profecías, milagros inventados, un “evangelio mundano” que no tiene nada que ver con el evangelio de Cristo, muchos se están llenando de una doctrina contaminada por el mundo y han llenado sus vidas de “codicia, avaricia, egocentrismo, vanagloria, manipulación, depravación, lujuria, lascivia, fornicación, adulterio, idolatría, brujería, hechicería y ese enfermo deseo por el reconocimiento y  fama”, han creado un evangelio paralelo que está matando la iglesia y a todos sus miembros,¿Cuántas de las cosas que estamos viviendo son el resultado de las cosas que hicimos sin pensar?, que creímos que traería bendición y terminó siendo muerte, hoy Dios está aquí para revertir caminos que dañan nuestra vida. Hoy Dios nos visita y nos habla para quitar de encima nuestro: muerte, veneno, oprobio y afrenta, debemos recordar que algún día compareceremos delante del Señor; Todos, buenos y malos, de toda raza, nación, credo, estaremos delante del Señor y Él juzgará nuestras acciones, Romanos 2:16 NTV “Y el mensaje que proclamo es que se acerca el día en que Dios juzgará, por medio de Cristo Jesús, la vida secreta de cada uno”.Pecamos en el secreto, permitimos cosas en el secreto, vemos cosas en el secreto que no debemos ver, hablamos cosas en el secreto que no debemos hablar, hablamos temas en el secreto que no debemos hablar, recibimos cosas en el secreto que no deberíamos recibir y decimos… “Gracias a Dios esto no lo sabe nadie…”.Ministración: Todos al frente, somos la ofrenda que debe ser presentada en sacrificio vivo ante el Señor, no hay nadie aquí que pueda decir “soy santo”, “eso nunca me va a pasar”; todos sin excepción hemos guardado cosas que nos atemorizan que salgan a la luz, cosas secretas que nos angustian que se sepan.Hoy tenemos que escudriñar ¿Como está tu vida secreta, que cosas están ahí que no hemos querido parar? No hay nada mas liberador que parar lo que tenemos que parar, Jesús lo advirtió en la mujer adultera “Vete y no peques mas”. Tiempo de arrepentimiento…Tu vida secreta:Es una bomba de tiempo: Va a explotar tarde o temprano, la única forma de evitar que explote, es desactivar la bomba inmediatamenteEl pecado es oculto para todos, menos para Dios: Nadie sabe todas las cosas de los demás, pero a Jehová nadie le engaña, cuando hay pecados ocultos no hay más avance, no hay más crecimiento y la derrota está garantizada. En Lucas 22:42, somos testigos de un profundo momento de rendición cuando Jesús, ante la inminente crucifixión, oró a Dios expresando su deseo de un camino alternativo, aunque finalmente se entregó a la voluntad de Dios. Su presentación muestra el máximo ejemplo de entrega al plan de Dios, incluso frente a un gran sufrimiento. ¿Qué nos enseña el ejemplo de Jesús?Rendición total. Lucas 22:42 refleja la esencia de la entrega total cuando Jesús renunció a su propia voluntad para alinearse con el propósito de Dios.   «Pero el jefe de la sinagoga se enojó porque Jesús la había sanado en el día de reposo, así que le dijo a la gente: «Hay seis días en los que se puede trabajar. Para ser sanados, vengan en esos días; pero no en el día de reposo» (Lucas 13:14) La religión es peligrosa. La religión prefiere debatir la sanidad, que ver a alguien sano. La religión prefiere discutir acerca de la liberación, que ver a alguien libre. En Lucas capítulo 13, podemos observar un claro ejemplo de esto. Jesús sanó a una mujer que había estado encorvada por 18 años. Imagínatelo: una pobre anciana —a la que Jesús llamó hija de Abraham— a quien liberó después de haber estado atada por el diablo por casi dos décadas. Era de esperar que los líderes del templo se regocijaran por lo que Jesús había hecho. Pero, ¡no! Más bien se enojaron porque había sanado en el día equivocado. ¿Sabes qué es lo peor? Esos mismos líderes religiosos, que criticaron a Jesús por sanar en el día de reposo, pudieron haberle ministrado sanidad a esa mujer en cualquier otro día de la semana, si en realidad les hubiera importado hacerlo. Por ese motivo, Jesús se indignó con ellos. Jesús ministró respaldado por el mismo pacto de Abraham que ellos tenían, pero su religión había tenido atada a esa mujer en lugar de haberla liberado. Siempre sucede así. Recuerda eso la próxima vez que alguien trate de debatir sobre la sanidad o la liberación. Si alguien necesita ser liberado de un demonio, ¡sólo hazlo! No te enredes en cuestiones teológicas tratando de averiguar dónde está el demonio. “¿Estará en el cuerpo?, ¿en el cerebro?, ¿en el espíritu?, o quizás ¿en el bolsillo?” Mientras piensas en esas cosas, el demonio estará volviendo loca a la pobre persona. La pregunta no es: “¿dónde está el demonio?”, sino “¿por qué no hemos liberado a esa persona?” Es nuestro prójimo, y en el Nombre de Jesús ¡debe ser libre! Una vez que te hagas esa pregunta, no te importará si el demonio está adentro, afuera, suspendido en el aire o reposando. Lo único que te importará es que esa persona sea libre. Ésa es la diferencia entre la religión y el amor de Dios. La religión discute. El amor actúa. Escoge el amor, hoy.
