In 1980, 10-year-old Michael Gann vanished without a trace from his home in Oklahoma. Despite efforts to find him, his case remains unsolved, leaving behind decades of unanswered questions. What happened to Michael that day? How did a young boy simply disappear? The lack of records, media coverage, and investigative updates isn't unusual, it's something we see far too often in cases involving missing and murdered Indigenous people. Even when the details are scarce, these stories still deserve to be told.Sources:https://www.newspapers.com/article/the-daily-oklahoman-michael-sean-gann-8/136367654/?locale=en-UShttps://www.oklahoman.com/story/news/1982/07/27/boys-slayer-eludes-citys-police-for-year/62877543007/Support the show
In 1973, fire killed and injured more people in the United States than in any other industrialized nation in the world. The next year, Congress passed the Federal Fire Prevention and Control Act, a landmark bill that made significant investments in fire research, training, and education. Within a few decades, the U.S. had transformed from a fire-prone outlier, to arguably the safest country in the world. Today on the podcast, we talk to Dick Gann, one of the most prolific fire researchers in U.S. history, about a new paper that he co-authored that commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Fire Prevention and Control Act. We discuss the legacy of this legislation, and explore several of the research achievements — many of which Gann himself was directly involved with — that have dramatically improved fire safety in the United States over the last half century. On this week's Stansberry Investor Hour, Dan and Corey welcome Greg Diamond back to the show. Greg is a fellow analyst at Stansberry Research and editor of the trading advisory Ten Stock Trader. With nearly two decades' worth of experience trading and managing every asset class, Greg is an expert at technical analysis and interpreting market cycles. Greg kicks things off by reviewing the inflection points he predicted last time he was on the podcast. He explains what these time cycles mean and how they've influenced his trading strategy this year. He also discusses the upcoming presidential election and how crucial it is for investors to put aside their biases. According to Greg, the market's wider emotional reactions to the election could present some fantastic buying opportunities. (0:55) Next, Greg breaks down famed trader W.D. Gann's technical strategies into simple terms. He emphasizes that the "why" in market cycles is not really important. What matters is whether history is repeating or not. Greg warns of cycle inversions, however, and points out that many charts and algorithms in technical analysis just reflect human emotion. Investors will naturally reach different conclusions about the market, which creates volatility. (17:03) Finally, Greg talks about short-term trading versus holding stocks for the long term. He shares that this presidential election is the most excited he has been about trading since 2022. Greg foresees "an exceptional trading season" after a fairly boring start to the year. And he hammers home that investors should be careful of increased volatility for the next few months and possibly even the next few years. (39:41)

Bob Miner, a seasoned trader with over 40 years of experience, joined Tom Bodrovics on Palisades to discuss his insights on the current market trends. Bob emphasized that trends and countertrends are based on group psychology and cycles of optimism and pessimism. He shared a story about a "nephew indicator" that is more reliable than economic indicators for understanding market extremes. Bob discussed his approach to trading in the foreign exchange (FOREX) market, highlighting the importance of understanding the underlying fundamentals and technicals of a currency pair. He also discussed the current state of the gold market, noting that it is currently in a bullish uptrend but may be approaching a potential sign of completion. In addition, Bob discussed commodity and inflation indices, specifically focusing on uranium. He believes that uranium may be about to complete a correction before continuing its upward trend. Bob also emphasized the importance of having a plan in place for exiting positions if signs of a breakout failure appear. Bob has been studying the U.S. election cycle and its impact on stock market trends for over 25 years, and he has developed a book that is considered the definitive guide to this topic. He provided a table showing the percentage gain for each month from the spring low to the summer high since 1952, indicating that there has only been one year when there was a loss from the spring low to the summer high. Talking Points From This Episode The importance of understanding group psychology and cycles of optimism and pessimism in predicting market trends. The relevance of fundamentals and technicals in foreign exchange (FOREX) trading, especially in understanding currency pairs. The potential for a bullish uptrend in the gold market, but also the possibility of a sign of completion and the importance of having a plan in place for exiting positions. In the mid-90's he founded Dynamic Traders Group to provide market analysis and trade strategy reports, practical trade education and developed his Dynamic Trader Software. Robert wrote the first self-study trading course in 1989 where he expanded on and integrated the work of W.D. Gann, R.N. Robert's first book, Dynamic Trading, was named the “Trading Book of the Year” by the SuperTradersAlmanac and he was named the 1997 “Guru of the Year”. His book, High Probability Trading Strategies, has been one of the consistently top selling trading books since its release in 2008. It has become a must-read classic trading book of practical trade strategies. Robert is recognized as one of the few trading educators with an actual multi-year record of trading success. In 1993, he won first place in an annual real-time, real-money trading contest for futures. Enjoy this discussion with Oklahome State Representative Tom Gann as we dive into the issue of TIF Districts (Tax Incremental Financing) and the Road User Charge. Dan and Corey kick off the show by discussing car-rental company Hertz selling one-third of its electric-vehicle ("EV") fleet and planning to reinvest in gas-powered cars. They talk about the reasons for this move, why EVs might not be a popular choice as rentals, signs that oil and gas companies are still thriving, and how the green-energy transition could lead to higher inflation. Next, welcome Stansberry Research analyst Greg Diamond joins the conversation and analyzes the current volatility in the markets. He explains that investors and the financial media believe the Federal Reserve has beaten inflation and is going to start cutting rates soon. But as Greg notes, the opposite is most likely to happen. He also goes into detail on his study of cycles. Then, Greg predicts important inflection points for 2024, describes how legendary trader W.D. Gann influenced his trading strategy, and explores the potential ramifications of the Fed ending its bank lending program in March. He also details why he'll be trading sectors for the first half of the year rather than individual stocks. Lastly, Greg talks about correlations between the S&P 500 and specific exchange-traded funds. He assesses what it means for the markets when divergences happen and how extreme volatility leads to great buying opportunities. As Greg sums things up, "I think it's going to be a rough ride for bulls and bears."

In this show, Olga joins us to share her W. D. Gann obsession with us. I've been studying Gann for six months, and I can confirm, that her 'obsession' is warranted. The legendary Wall st. trader used astrology, numerology, geometry, and many other esoteric methods to beat the market. We recorded this just as Mars was sitting on his Gemini Sun. Perfect timing! I hope you enjoy this introduction to this enigmatic man. Support the show: www.patreon.com/adamsommer Olga's site: http://www.astrologyforganntraders.com.au/about.html
