Le sport est il un bon vecteur d'intégration ? C'est la question posée à mon invité du jour, en la personne de Mohamed SERBOUTI, plus connu sous le diminutif de Momo. Arrivé très jeune en provenance du Maroc avec sa famille du côté de la Sarthe, il n'a jamais quitté ce département ! Passionné de foot et après avoir foulé les pelouses durant quelques années, c'est vers l'athlétisme que la carrière de Momo se tourne. Doté d'un potentiel athlétique, il gravit les échelons très rapidement. De champion de France de cross, à l'équipe de France, aux compétitions internationales ou encore un titre obtenu sur 10 000m, Momo vibre depuis plus de 25 ans dans ce sport qu'est la course à pied. Ambassadeur pour la marque ADIDAS, il porte des valeurs de partage, de générosité et d'entraide. Sourire aux lèvres, il n'est pas avare en compliment, en petit mot pour booster un coureur. De cette envie de transmettre, notre éducateur jeunesse a mis en place du côté du Mans, un club, son club, INAYA ATHLETISME. Passer du 2 roues à la course, c'est la transition opérée par mon invité du jour. J'ai eu la chance de croiser David MENANTEAU lors des Foulées du Gois à Noirmoutier en Juin dernier. Vainqueur d'une des courses phares, un aller retour sur ce passage mythique à marée descendante, David s'exprime dans cet épisode sur cette bascule réalisée entre le vélo et la course à pied. Quels aspects peuvent être transposés entre les deux sports, et l'intérêt d'une pratique croisée ? Travaillant de nuit, David évoque également la nécessaire organisation et adaptation de son emploi du temps. De ses premières courses sur route en passant par le passage du Gois, il revient sur ce plaisir qu'il prend dans cette nouvelle activité d'endurance pour lui, qu'il partage avec son épouse Chloé. Attiré par les grands espaces et la nature, il délaisse désormais de plus en plus le bitume pour le Trail. Sans détour, nous aborderons deux expériences délicates sur des Ultras lors de cette année 2022. There are some places in France where the destination is less important that the actual journey; beautiful roads that are just delightful to take. The road bordering Lake Annecy is both a challenge and a reward for cycling enthusiasts. Meanwhile on the French Riviera, the Grande Corniche, which has inspired so many filmmakers, is best enjoyed at the wheel of a vintage car. As for the Passage du Gois in the Vendée region, a submersible road that links the Atlantic island of Noirmoutier with the mainland, it is also used to pick shellfish, on foot. But watch out for high tide!

Il est des coins de France où la destination importe moins que le chemin. Des routes si belles qu'elles sont devenues mythiques. Celle qui borde le lac d'Annecy est à la fois un défi et une récompense pour les amateurs de vélo. De Nice à Monaco, la route de la Grande Corniche, décor de tant de films cultes, s'apprécie plutôt au volant d'une voiture de collection. Quant au passage du Gois, cette route submersible qui permet de rejoindre Noirmoutier depuis le continent, on l'emprunte aussi pour y pêcher, à pied. Mais gare à la marée montante !

Lucienne est une insulaire. Elle a grandi dès 1934 à Noirmoutier, cette île reliée à la terre par une unique route recouverte à marée haute par la mer et appelée le Gois. Cette enfance à part, Lucienne l'a vécue entourée de ses quatre sœurs à une époque marquée par l'Occupation, puis le développement du tourisme estival. Avant de quitter pour toujours cette vie isolée, pour vivre sa vie de femme. Comme beaucoup de femmes de sa génération, et plus encore celles qui ont connu l'Occupation allemande, Lucienne a été fortement marquée par la guerre. Des petits boulots à la ville, une longue relation épistolaire, la guerre d'Algérie et un mariage entre l'île et la terre, la vie de jeune femme de Lucienne n'a pas été de tout repos ! Les souvenirs de Lucienne sont précieux, ils racontent avec précision une vie quotidienne un peu différente, au milieu du XXème siècle en France. Au fil de ses aventures, Lucienne aura finalement préféré la terre ferme à son île natale. Merci Lucienne pour ce temps si riche consacré et ce témoignage fort. Et si notre vie ressemblait à un marathon ? Des hauts, des bas, des moments d'euphorie et d'immense douleur ? C'est en quelques mots, ce que mon invitée a vécu sur ces dernières années. Lorsque la maladie et en l'occurrence le cancer a frappé le quotidien d'Anaïs QUEMENER, ce fut un bouleversement total ! A 24 ans, cette aide soignante dans un service d'urgence en Seine-Saint-Denis, ne s'est pas laissée abattre. Bien au contraire ! C'est par le sport et la course à pied, qu'elle pratique depuis l'âge de 7 ans, suivant les pas de son papa, encore aujourd'hui son mentor et son entraîneur, qu'elle a su tirer son énergie et ainsi se sortir de cette mauvaise passe ! Avec beaucoup de sincérité, d'authenticité, Anaïs se confie sur l'annonce de cette maladie, sur le parcours de soin qui lui laisse encore aujourd'hui des traces indélébiles ! Ce "marathon pour la vie", elle n'a pas eu peur de l'affronter ! Jour après jour, malgré de lourdes thérapies, elle s'est efforcée de pratiquer le running. Un moyen de chasser les mauvaises pensées en quelque sorte. Femme de défi, elle brille sur des distances allant du 10 au 100km, en ayant au passage remporté un titre de championne de France de Marathon (en 2016). Et elle ne compte pas s'arrêter là ! Aujourd'hui, en pleine possession de ses moyens, elle pousse son corps jusque dans ses derniers retranchements, enchaînant les performance de haute volée. Débordante d'énergie, avec un grand sourire, j'ai été ravi de pouvoir te rencontrer lors des Foulées du Gois ! «Miércoles 29 de junio del 2011. Ese día el Movistar Team... anunciaba a los medios [de comunicación] el grupo de nueve corredores que... estarían en el Tour [de Francia]. »Andrey Amador aparecía en la lista. Para despejar cualquier duda, junto a su nombre había una pequeña bandera de Costa Rica. »Con la llegada del gran día, el sábado 2 de julio se dio el inicio del Tour: los primeros 191 kilómetros entre Passage du Gois y Mont des Alouettes. »Pero el bautizo de Amador en el Tour no fue armonioso. Al octavo kilómetro de ruedo se dio una caída masiva de ciclistas. Aunque el tico se salvó de esa, no tuvo la misma suerte doce kilómetros más adelante: En una nueva colisión de pedalistas, Andrey cayó al asfalto junto a decenas de competidores. Su tobillo se llevó la peor parte. »Ni el dolor del momento, [ni] el que lo hacía revolcarse cada noche por aquel tobillo hinchado que más parecía un tamal, hicieron que Andrey abandonara el Tour de Francia. »Pedaleó, pedaleó y pedaleó. En las transmisiones de las grandes cadenas europeas y latinoamericanas se le veía muy poco, excepto en aquella etapa 17 en la que se sumó [a] un grupo de escapados y logró su mejor posición de cualquier jornada, un undécimo lugar. »Ese día, Jesús Hoyos, médico del Movistar, planteó lo que hacía Andrey de esta manera: “Si logra acabar el Tour, será una de las cosas más extremas que habré visto en mis muchos años en el ciclismo.” La frase terminó en profecía, y Andrey logró concluirlo. »Así como [al noveno día del Tour] el tico tuvo un momento en el que perdió la voluntad de seguir, también tuvo uno que pudo variarlo todo: El primer día de competencia, cuando se lesionó el tobillo, fue llevado a un hospital y le hicieron un ultrasonido. Por más de tres horas, Andrey y el médico del equipo esperaron al especialista que interpretaría la imagen, pero éste nunca apareció. Un día después, le dieron el diagnóstico (un esguince [grado dos]) y la recomendación de no correr. [Pero] el tico, como cuando era adolescente, hizo caso omiso a la instrucción y montó día a día su bicicleta hasta cruzar, el 24 de julio, los imponentes Campos Elíseos.»1 Así termina el periodista Luis Eduardo Díaz el artículo que publicó en el periódico La Nación acerca de su compatriota Andrey Amador, el primer ciclista costarricense y centroamericano en participar en el Tour de Francia.2 Pero al principio de su reportaje cuenta que en el transcurso de ese noveno día del Tour, cuando Andrey iba en la última posición entre más de 160 competidores luego de haber recorrido más de mil kilómetros, de no haber sido por las palabras de estímulo de José Luis Arrieta, uno de sus entrenadores, lo más probable es que hubiera abandonado la carrera. Gracias a Dios, con su estímulo divino sumado a las fuerzas que nos quiere infundir, pase lo que pase en el Tour de nuestra vida, cada uno de nosotros, al igual que Andrey Amador, puede terminar la carrera con la frente en alto. A l'occasion d'un week-end sur Noirmoutier, j'ai pris part à la 34ème édition des Foulées du Gois, route submersible de 4ème reliant l'île au continent. Plusieurs courses étaient programmées dont la célèbre course des As lorsque la marée remonte et rend la progression difficile des coureurs élites. Pour ma part c'est sur la course populaire de 8 km que j'ai accroché un dossard...un aller retour sur cette route mythique, entrecoupé par des secteurs pavés. Les paysages sont magnifiques, l'ambiance y est familiale. Je vous livre dans cet épisode le récit de ma course, ma préparation et les rencontres que j'ai pu faire à l'issue de cette journée !
