In this disturbing episode, Chris revisits the case of Devin Fernandez, a former corrections officer who crossed the line from authority figure to alleged predator, luring a 14-year old girl for sex, during an undercover sting operation. Through graphic chat logs and tense interrogation moments, Chris exposes the calculated manipulation, grooming tactics, and dangerous mindset behind the encounter. But the investigation goes deeper. Chris pulls back the curtain on the justice system itself, comparing wildly different sentencing outcomes in cases from Florida to California — including the controversial plea deals that leave many asking whether predators are truly being held accountable. Why do some offenders face decades behind bars while others walk away with shockingly light punishment. Pablo Juarez-Bertadillo is a predator caught in a Genesee County, Michigan investigation. At the time of the sting, Juarez had been living in Burton, Michigan. He unlawfully immigrated to the United States from Mexico sometime around 2019. He worked in roofing. Juarez had been communicating with a decoy posing as a fifteen-year-old girl. At first, Juarez discussed paying $100 for sex with the girl. After learning of her age, he responded "oh really," followed by immediately requesting her address. Juarez asked the decoy if she was available and whether she was a police officer. Upon being assured that she was not, Juarez said that he would be at the location within five minutes. Seeing the impending confrontation as a test to his language skills, Chris told the decoy that he would need to utilize what he learned from his four years of honors-level Spanish classes in high school. When asked why he came to the house, Juarez told Chris that it was to work on the roof. In response, Chris asked Juarez how to say "bullshit" in Spanish. Henry Lopez is an alleged predator caught in a Blount County, Alabama investigation. He came to the sting house with Garson Lopez. Henry is originally from Guatemala. At the time of the sting, he was living in the United States illegally for the past year. He had at least one child. Garson was the one to communicate with the decoy over the phone, rather than Henry. He reached out to a decoy posing as the aunt to a fifteen-year-old girl, selling the girl for sex. After learning of the girl's age, Garson asked for pictures of both decoys. He further asked what the rate would be if he and Henry both wanted sex. The decoy told him $300 for both of the Lopezes to have sex. Henry arrived to the sting house first, followed by Garson. He and the decoys stood awkwardly in the kitchen of the sting house because they were not able to communicate well. Garson called for Henry to step out of the house, which he did. After asking if two men were acceptable to the decoys, Henry and Garson left toward their car. Deputies then took them into custody. Then it was time to meet Chris. At the time of the Sting, Nicholas Jenkins was living in Winter Garden, Florida. He had previously wanted to work with dialysis patients but found himself working in pest control. A posted a picture of what appeared to be a minor girl in a hot tub on the social media platform Whisper (despite the picture showing her wearing a wedding ring). The decoy then said that she was fifteen-years-old and asked if he cared about that. He responded, "Nope. Not at all," followed by "wanting to come see you." Jenkins arrived to the sting wearing a t-shirt with 1990s and early 2000s Cartoon Network characters on it. Jenkins was transported to the Polk County Jail where Chris began to interview him. Douglas Vincent Cooley is a predator caught in a Polk County, Florida investigation. At the time of the sting, Cooley had been living in or near Apopka, Florida. Shockingly, he worked at the Clay Springs Elementary after-school daycare in Apopka. Cooley had been communicating with a decoy posing as a foster mother willing to sell her fifteen-year-old daughter for sex. After learning of the girl's age, Cooley asked if they were law enforcement. Assured that they were not, Cooley then stated that he had never "come across this opportunity before." He also specifically asked to confirm the girl's age as fifteen. He agreed to pay $100 for a half hour of sex with the minor girl, saying, "I just want to fuck her." Cooley arrived at the house and was immediately arrested by deputies. While being handcuffed, Cooley muttered to himself, "I'm done for." While being searched, Cooley repeatedly kept telling himself, "I'm so dumb." He was first interrogated by deputies then it was Chris' turn. In this exclusive episode of Have a Seat with Chris Hansen, Chris talks with ethical hacker and cybersecurity expert Ryan Montgomery for an eye-opening and informative session you won't want to miss. Montgomery, founder of Pentester, the leading cybersecurity technology platform, talks about how he got his start in combating on-line attackers including uncovering an underground site ran by politician Nathan Larson. Montgomery's pleas about Larson to the media and law enforcement fell on deaf ears until Larson was later arrested for kidnapping and sexually assaulting an underaged child, a crime that could have been avoided if Montgomery's findings were taken seriously. But it was that determination and drive to protect children that founded Pentester and how law enforcement can now utilize his technology to find victims of human trafficking. This mega episode highlights the latest crimes against children, a show-and-tell of information available on line about YOU and what you can do to keep yourself safe from hackers, the latest products to prevent cyber-breaches and devices that can save your life in a disaster, as well as discussions and thoughts on the Epstein files and even the Nancy Guthrie case! Hansen and Montgomery leave no topic off the table; from sextortion, to Roblox, to 764, no group or threat against a child is safe from the duo of Ryan Montgomery and Chris Hansen. "If she wanted to play, I probably would have done oral and that's about it." ―Joseph Ross At the time of the sting, Joseph Ross resided in Marquette City, Michigan. Ross was communicating with a fifteen-year-old decoy run by the Marquette County Sheriff's Office. During his chat with the decoy, he requested that she wear a thong, a halter bikini top, and pigtails and informed her that he was into fetish play. He requested a phone call with the decoy so that he could hear her voice. After the decoy told Ross over the phone that she wanted to have sex, Ross asked how many times she would "like to play." He then asked what she would charge and asked the decoy, "how much do you wanna be a little fuck slut?" During the phone call, Ross asked the decoy what her age was. He said it was "A-Okay" that she was young. Ross arrived at the sting house and immediately asked if it was setup upon entering. Once again assured that it was not, Ross took out $150 to pay the decoy, much less than the agreed upon $500. The decoy left and Chris walked out to meet Ross. “My penis don't work right." John Blake Creamer is a predator that was caught in a Blount County, Alabama investigation of Takedown with Chris Hansen. He is notable for having shot himself in his penis. At the time of the sting, Creamer had been living in or near Hanceville, Alabama. Creamer had four children between two and eight years old from two different women. He worked as a brick mason. Creamer was once married but divorced because he found out his wife had been cheating on him for three years while he was in prison. He said that he found another man in his bed after being released. Creamer had been communicating with a decoy posing as a fifteen-year-old girl. He called the decoy before texting her. Creamer arrived to the sting house wearing stained and dirty blue jeans and a T-shirt, which Chris described as his "fancy, go-to-court clothes." Creamer maintained that he did not believe that the girl was a minor. Before being led out of the house and to the jail, Creamer announced to everyone present that he could not possibly have sex with a child because he had been shot in his penis with a .380 caliber gun firing full-metal jacket bullets. He told everyone that his penis "don't work right." Creamer offered to show his penis to Chris. Chris refused, but Creamer assured him that it was "all sewed back on" because the entire penis had been shot off. Chris, wanting to clarify, asked if someone had shot him in his penis. Creamer responded, "Yes sir. Actually, I was cleaning my gun and it misfired." Sponsored by: TruthFinder.com.
