This week's roast is rapped up and hot to go! And for some queens it was even pre-written! The burns start well before the challenge between the feuding Brookses and one Texas diva left out of the alliance. Meanwhile Butthole is torn between two mother figures but Jorgeous continues to feel very muggy. Chappell Roan makes some noise on the judges panel and the runway blossoms with groundbreaking florals for spring.Become a Matreon at the Sister Mary level to get full access to bonus episodes including brackets, movie reviews and past seasons of US Drag Race, UK, Canada, Down Under, Espana, Global All Stars, Philippines and more.Join us at our OnlyMary's level for our recap of Season 5 of Drag Race plus even more movie reviews, brackets, and deep dives into our personal lives!Patreon: www.patreon.com/alrightmaryEmail: alrightmarypodcast@gmail.comInstagram: @alrightmarypodJohnny: @johnnyalso (Instagram)Colin: @colindrucker_ (Instagram)Web: www.alrightmary.com

Alaska and Willam discuss the latest episode of All Stars 9; including some illusive Quick Drag during the Mini Challenge, and some rather ambitious design ideas for the runway. The All Stars were tasked with creating outfits inspired by RuPaul's discography and Plastique quilted a masterpiece, Jorgeous gave scoooch, and Shannel's mouth did a whole lot of 'kissy Chrissmas.' Music makes the people come together, but it also makes drag queens design looks based on (the titles of) RuPaul songs. Shannel continues to get nothing for Christmas, Gottmik gets a three way hug with a dress form, Nina has clearly never made construction paper turkeys as a kid, Angeria is VERY Ashford & Simpson, and Vanjie loves cats. Jorgeous doesn't really have a plotline this week, but remember that time she won her design challenge? Plastique continues to have the judges seeing stars and Roxxxy is all tonk and no honky in her cowgirl couture, but honestly that lip sync jumpsuit of hers may have been the best look of the night. It's truly a Night of 1000 Divas as RuPaul channels Joan Crawford, Faye Dunaway playing Joan Crawford, Bette Davis, Lauren Bacall and more stars of the 20th century in this week's camp cinema inspired acting challenge. (Though the jury's still out on The Boys in the Band when it comes to camp, but having Jorgeous play Harold is certainly an inspired choice.)Want even more Alright Mary? That ROAST was EVERYTHING! The jokes, the twists and the RUdemption? Mawma, this is why we love ALL STARS! Also, let's just call this The Jorgeous episode bc she DOMINATED us sub queens.
It's your patriotic duty to download this episode as the bois get into the National Drag Convention Roast, a roast themed around the idea of "hey what if we did a roast but randomly put up some stuff so we can say it's about getting people to vote." Roxxxy Andrews more than earns her commission in the final minutes of this week's episode. After a series of real estate commercials that weren't necessarily fighting off bidders, some workroom drama about Florida accents, Jorgeous's Mommy and me moment on the runway and a pretty hairy lip sync, an anguished blind crab walk was just what this episode needed to continue to sell us on this absurd telethon pitting charities against one another. Also, the Teletubbies show up and we have some very strong opinions on real estate agency branding, silly straight boys and of course, Shannel.Want even more Alright Mary? We get twice the tickled ivories this week when two Liberaces show up on Snatch Game of Love. Personally, we have dibs on Marla Gibbs and whatever she's got in that shoulder bag. Thanks to Shannel, we spend some necessary time on both the expression and the movie “in the cut” and Jorgeous inspires us to revisit an internet legend. We also figure out who Roxxxy looks like in her confessionals, and of course can't resist a tangent on Terrence. Inevitably we end up talking at some point about Vanjie's fever dream of a WOW+ dating show again, but we also cover the night of 1000 reveals, Gottmik running away with the runway theme and the perils of doing imaginary characters on Snatch Game. They discuss the table visits with RuPaul and the lack of drama surrounding Nina and Shannel's decision to both do Liberace. Taylor expresses annoyance with queens choosing obscure characters for Snatch Game. Joe questions why RuPaul seems to favor certain queens, such as Jorgeous. In this part of the conversation, Taylor and Joe discuss the Snatch Game performances and share their thoughts on each contestant. They talk about how some queens, like Vanjie and Jorgeous, played themselves rather than embodying their chosen characters. They also discuss the missed opportunities and lack of originality in some of the performances. They highlight the unintentional brilliance of Jorgeous'' portrayal of John Leguizamo and the campiness of Nina's Liberace. Overall, they feel that some queens failed to fully commit to their characters and missed the mark in terms of humor and originality. In this conversation, Joe and Taylor discuss their thoughts on the Snatch Game episode of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars Season 9. Hey everybody, welcome to KOBLIZZY! This week I'm celebrating queerness in all capacities, and specifically making a point to uplift drag artists and trans/non-binary peoples. This past week, I was afforded the distinct pleasure of meeting Jorgeous from RuPaul's Drag Race S14 at a gay bar in Atlanta! She was so gracious, and it was a pleasure to talk to her for a few minutes and take some photos. She also lit the stage on firrrreeee! I posted an iPhone video of one of her numbers on my personal TikTok account @koblizzy. I talk about how much I love drag in general and how I would love to be a drag queen… the only thing that has kept me from it this long is how much goes into it - hair removal, make-up artistry, wig-styling, garment-making, padding, pantyhose, tucking… OH MY! On June 11, non-binary Broadway performers J. Harrison Ghee (Some Like it Hot) and Alex Newell (Shucked) made Tony Awards history by becoming the first two out non-binary actors to win Leading Actor in a Musical and Featured Actor in a Musical, respectively. Thank you, God! I hope you enjoy this episode! I love y'all and I'll see you next time! xo SOTW: Haute & Champagne Shit by Janelle Monae https://linktr.ee/kobewarner
The queens are making a scene this week, and we're not even talking about the challenge itself. Emotions run high early in the day and Best Supporting Ru makes an emergency visit to the workroom to keep more queens from quitting the show through the power of proselytizing. The true crime improv challenge itself is a slickly produced step up, and while no one is dead on arrival, there were likely culprits for bottom two. The winner of this week's runway pageant was, in the words of Alyssa Edwards, not on this stage, and Jorgeous punches the clock more than the ghost as our guest lip sync assassin. It ultimately ends up being a really good week for Lala Ri, and frankly, it's about damn time. Want even more Alright Mary?
RuPaul and Michelle have had their turns in the hot seat, but this season it's Roast Mathews! The Top 7 take turns taking down Ross with, as per usual, varying degrees of success. Despite Dulce Sloan's Masterclass, DeJa still puts her Bigfoot in her mouth, Daya is off beat, and Jorgeous just doesn't have any fun. Meanwhile Angie serves pizza, Camden can't stay out of Ross's butt, Willow is saved by the lips, and Bosco, after winning the reading mini-challenge, redeems herself with a reading maxi-challenge and one sharp little number on the runway. A three-way lip sync sends Principal Skye home early, but at least she can hold Jorgeous's hand as a double elimination also means its time for this season's lip sync assassin to punch out. Tune in this week as Tilmon and Katy attempt to illustrate what exactly went down in the historical, monumental, show-stopping episode that was Drag Race Season 14's Rusical. While Katy grapples with accepting her true love Bosco's villain arc, Tilmon dives into the joys of Lady Camden's domination. They discuss Rupaul's little crush on Jorgeous, consider who actually dressed to the runway theme, and obviously reflect on finally discovering who had the golden chocolate bar.

Can we just go ahead and declare this the best Rusical ever? Yes we can can can, Mary! This week the top 7 star in a jukebox musical of RuPaul staples transformed into a masterful Moulin Rouge-inspired megamix. Lady Camden makes the most of a hairy situation, Willow Pill soars as a one scene queen, and Leland gives Best Supporting Top energy. DeJa walks dogs, Angie gets a Bea Arthur moment and Daya drunk-syncs. Unfortunately Bosco's Saltine is a little dry and Jorgeous's face doesn't always keep up with her hips, sending the two into a lip sync that threatened to leave a vacancy. But worry not, because the drag gods/story producers have spoken…. We also discuss Ukraine and how hot their president is as well as a quick summary of this weeks Rupaul's Drag Race. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/shoppingfortea/message
Honestly Mary's, this extra special episode was actually pretty extra special, in no small part because of Principal Skye's workroom viewing party of this lip sync smackdown. Last week's unfortunate seven duke it out in a race to the bottom, and we finally get to see some strategic gameplay that's not just about the drama. Daya demands respect, Willow serves just enough and never too much (air guitar, that is), Jorgeous stops by to top a threeway, Angie serves enough stage presence to win two lip syncs (some would even say she did!), Camden earns a big hug and an award-worthy camera angle for the best performance of the night, and it all comes down to a beaten down Bosco against the piñata of the season, jazzy Jasmine, who spends the whole episode losing lip syncs and still leaves with a smile on her face. In this week's episode, we dive into this lackluster Snatch Game, campaign for Dove to become a full-time judge, and discuss what the queens are told vs. what we hear the runway theme is. League Standings: Charles (Kerri, June, Maddy)- 60 Daniel (Angie, Jorgeous, Alyssa Hunter, Daya)- 132 Rebecca (Bosco, Willow Pill, DeJa)- 199 Robert (Kornbread, Lady Camden, Jasmine Kennedie)- 135 League Rules: Each player chooses two queens for their team for the entirety of the season. These queens are awarded points for winning a maxi challenge (10 points), winning a mini-challenge (3 points), surviving a lip-sync (5 points), and just appearing on the episode ("The Naomi Smalls Rule" 1 point). In addition, each player completes a weekly draft card in which they guess the maxi challenge winner (10 points), the two lipsyncing queens (5 points each) and the eliminated queen (10 points), as well as a weekly bonus question (3 points).
Of The Mother-Tucking World führen.
Snatch Game rarely goes off without a hitch, but this season it barely got off the ground. Queens like Bosco and Willow have been making smart choices all season, but misstepped into muted takes on Drew Barrymore and Gwyneth Paltrow. Angie's Tammie was more beige than Brown while Camden made the tragic choice to be William Shakespeare (and not to be Joanna Lumley). Daya's Ozzy and Jorgeous's Ilana Glazer, well, weren't, and Betsy DeVos tanked like Maxine Waters a few seasons ago, so fingers crossed we don't get a Nancy Pelosi on Season 15. That being said, Michelle's Investigation on the runway and Ru's heavy kid gloves this week made for a refreshing take on a tanked challenge, and DeJa Skye finally nabbed a big win for her Lil Jon. Given how off the rails this one went, we had no choice but to instead spend more time celebrating Jujubee's Cher on Drag Race UK vs the World, and of course break down Bob the Drag Queen's formula for a good Snatch Game performance. In this week's episode, we discuss who is responsible in a group challenge with no team leader, who managed to be vulnerable in the panel discussions, and have an in-depth analysis of the spectrum of lip-sync “duets.” League Standings: Charles (Kerri, June, Maddy)- 60 Daniel (Angie, Jorgeous, Alyssa Hunter, Daya)- 116 Rebecca (Bosco, Willow Pill, DeJa)- 183 Robert (Kornbread, Lady Camden, Jasmine Kennedie)- 131 League Rules: Each player chooses two queens for their team for the entirety of the season. Chels, Jesse, & Paige are joined by Eoin Daly to cover season 14 episode 9 of RuPaul's Drag Race. The queens are going to Drag Con! The two panels talk all things men, fatherhood, and toxic masculinity to varying levels of success. We learned which queens can hold a conversation and who should stick to texts. Then fun shoulder pads runway where few contestants understood the assignment, and a great debate over who should've won. PLUS, did the Jasmine vs. Jorgeous lip sync we've been waiting for deliver? Welcome to the 60's, Mary! The Top 9 split up into three mid-century American musical acts to channel a bygone era of TV. And honestly, they all kind of kill it. Jorgeous talks her way out of singing, Angeria dials into Diana Ross, and DeJa wins the episode the moment she puts that robe on. Jasmine and Daya attempt to have workroom conflict, Bosco and Lady Camden are page turners in the reading challenge, Willow taps in as narrator and Kerri Colby packs up her classroom and takes our hearts with her.
In this week's episode, we break down that incredibly powerful Untucked, praise the maturity of auntie Kerri, and the blossoming of Lady Camden. On this weekend's What to Watch: News about the planned ends for three shows: Stranger Things, Atlanta, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. That last one is back for its fourth season, where Midge is trying to take her career to the next level — star Rachel Brosnahan teases what's in store. On Euphoria, Lexi's play finally hits the stage and reveals some big secrets, and Paula Marshall, who plays Nate's mom, gives her best theory on who the third kid is in their family photo. On RuPaul's Drag Race, the remaining queens star in a soap opera, but not before Daya Betty offers a fake apology to Jorgeous and makes it clear she thinks she should've won last week. Adam Scott stars in the news series Severance, as an employee of a company where your personal memories are wiped for the eight hours you're at work. And on a new episode of Yellowstone prequel series 1883, tensions are high between Margaret and Elsa. The Legend of Vox Machina is new with the final three episodes of season 1, and the stars tell us what they're watching. Perhaps one of the most controversial placements in a while… were the judges helping themselves to a bag of brown during deliberations? This week's Glamazon Prime design challenges leads to very mixed results, with Jorgeous' win gagging everyone, even Jorgeous, and an Untucked that was so close to interesting we actually watched it for the first time in decades (thank you Jasmine and the token straight.) Oh wait, he has a name, Maddy. So viel an dieser Stelle: It's Chocolate.
Sometimes, if not all the time, we get it from our MAMA! That's why we are super excited to talk to the powerhouse that is Mancie Mandell - the mother of Jasmine Kennedie. With a little bit of Honest Tea and L-O-V-E, Mama Mandell and I had a lovely kiki about her love of fashion, Gospel Drag, how she feels about the dress she made for Jasmine's runway this week, and lesser-known spots in Asbury Park, NJ. Then, it was on to the Drag Race! Why was Deja Skye so cocky after that lip sync? Jorgeous in THAT DRESS! These damn chocolate bars! What in the cavity?! Bosco was safe? Why Bling Empire? Also, June is a stylist. Ummmm…careful what you say!!!!!! About our guest: Mancie Mandell is a 28-year-old aspiring designer hailing all the way from Asbury Park, NJ.
What's better than a big opening? TWO BIG OPENINGS! Reese is joined by Melbourne drag superstar Bathsheba to lay into our next batch of Season 14 queens - queers and straights and all!
