Well-known drag artists have been using their platforms to combat the genocide in Gaza since last October. In this first part, Nicki Jizz, host of locally beloved drag night Reparations, explains how politics and drag mix. Check part two for Lady Bunny, who talks about virtue signaling politicians, and describes her suspicions around the viral photo with her name written on an IDF missile. To kick off Pride Month we have a treat for you: a BONUS LIVE EPISODE of Problematic Fave! In this special episode, we travel to SeriesFest in Denver, Colorado where Problematic Fave host Dino-Ray Ramos moderated a special RuPaul's Drag Race conversation with local Denver drag queens Geo Conjure, Sexy Sadie, and Electra Dupri as well as Keith Garcia, artistic director of the Sie FilmCenter at Denver Film -- who is also a "drag mentor" of sorts, having worked with Drag Race winners Yvie Oddly (season 11) and Willow Pill (season 14). We don't follow the usual format of Problematic Fave. Instead, after the queens performed (it was an incredible a show!), we watched a preview of RuPaul's Drag Race All-Stars season 8. We then chatted about the impact of Drag Race on the queens' lives and we addressed the current landscape of anti-drag, anti-trans, and anti-queer legislation that is spreading across the country. They also told us a little bit about the amazing drag talent in the Denver and what makes the local scene so sickening. === Problematic Fave is presented by DIASPORA and is created, hosted and produced by Dino-Ray Ramos. The series is also produced by Sanjay Sharma of Marginal MediaWorks and edited by Brian Aguilar. The queens take us behind the scenes for some never-before-spilled tea on RuPaul's initial reaction to Snatch Game (plus a taste of Kornbread's unaired Leslie Jordan impression), the "chaos" backstage at the lip-sync smackdown, unexpected obstacles that nearly derailed a few finale looks, and the importance of trans representation on TV as politicians around the country threaten LGBTQ rights. It's ABBA + Cher, bitch.

She dazzled the judges all season with her Victorian baby doll style, and now Denver's own Willow Pill has made it to the finale of “RuPaul's Drag Race.” If she wins, Willow would become the second Drag Superstar hailing from the Mile High City. Her mentor, friend, and fellow oddball Yvie Oddly won in 2019. But Willow has been dreaming of Drag Race success for longer than that, since she was a baby queen at Colorado State University. Bree sat down with Willow ahead of Friday night's finale to talk about her experience on the show, how it's helped her discover new things about her gender identity, and why Denver's drag scene keeps producing these weirdo, eccentric queens.

Plus, the girls gush about all the trans women of the season, go off on the ableism on display throughout, and how RuPaul is the real villain of the show. League Standings: Charles (Kerri, June, Maddy)- 70 Daniel (Angie, Jorgeous, Alyssa Hunter, Daya)- 158 Rebecca (Bosco, Willow Pill, DeJa)- 224 Robert (Kornbread, Lady Camden, Jasmine Kennedie)- 152 League Rules: Each player chooses two queens for their team for the entirety of the season. These queens are awarded points for winning a maxi challenge (10 points), winning a mini-challenge (3 points), surviving a lip-sync (5 points), and just appearing on the episode ("The Naomi Smalls Rule" 1 point).
Can we just go ahead and declare this the best Rusical ever? Yes we can can can, Mary! This week the top 7 star in a jukebox musical of RuPaul staples transformed into a masterful Moulin Rouge-inspired megamix. Lady Camden makes the most of a hairy situation, Willow Pill soars as a one scene queen, and Leland gives Best Supporting Top energy. DeJa walks dogs, Angie gets a Bea Arthur moment and Daya drunk-syncs. Unfortunately Bosco's Saltine is a little dry and Jorgeous's face doesn't always keep up with her hips, sending the two into a lip sync that threatened to leave a vacancy. But worry not, because the drag gods/story producers have spoken…. In this week's episode, we dive into this lackluster Snatch Game, campaign for Dove to become a full-time judge, and discuss what the queens are told vs. what we hear the runway theme is. Of The Mother-Tucking World führen.
In this week's episode, we discuss who is responsible in a group challenge with no team leader, who managed to be vulnerable in the panel discussions, and have an in-depth analysis of the spectrum of lip-sync “duets.” League Standings: Charles (Kerri, June, Maddy)- 60 Daniel (Angie, Jorgeous, Alyssa Hunter, Daya)- 116 Rebecca (Bosco, Willow Pill, DeJa)- 183 Robert (Kornbread, Lady Camden, Jasmine Kennedie)- 131 League Rules: Each player chooses two queens for their team for the entirety of the season.
In this week's episode, we break down that incredibly powerful Untucked, praise the maturity of auntie Kerri, and the blossoming of Lady Camden. League Standings: Charles (Kerri, June, Maddy)- 46 Daniel (Angie, Jorgeous, Alyssa Hunter)- 113 Rebecca (Bosco, Willow Pill, DeJa)- 146 Robert (Kornbread, Lady Camden, Jasmine Kennedie)- 116 League Rules: Each player chooses two queens for their team for the entirety of the season. Y'all. This is the Maddy Morphosis episode that we've been putting off. We have to get some things off our chest.
International All Stars ist hier und we are in for a wild ride, that's for sure. Fahrt ihr mit? Dann Kopfhörer auf und los!
In this week's episode, we mourn the loss of Kornbread, welcome the Pit Crew back, and give our own PSA's! These queens are awarded points for winning a maxi challenge (10 points), winning a mini-challenge (3 points), surviving a lip-sync (5 points), and just appearing on the episode ("The Naomi Smalls Rule" 1 point). In addition, each player completes a weekly draft card in which they guess the maxi challenge winner (10 points), the two lipsyncing queens (5 points each) and the eliminated queen (10 points), as well as a weekly bonus question (3 points).
In this week's episode, Robert thinks Kerri is on his team, we aren't ready to talk about the Maddy Morphosis of it all, and have our second Race Chasers Cocktail Off! League Standings: Charles (Kerri, June, Maddy)- 33 Daniel (Angie, Jorgeous, Alyssa Hunter)- 49 Rebecca (Bosco, Willow Pill, DeJa)- 79 Robert (Kornbread, Lady Camden, Jasmine Kennedie)- 44 League Rules: Each player chooses two queens for their team for the entirety of the season.
The queens are creating supersized trailers for satirical versions of a season of Drag Race that's only just begun. And it's one of the best challenges we've seen in a while. But how much of that is thanks to an “UNHhhh” level of editing? Who cares, we get Willow Pill desperately seeking Jeffrey Bowyer Chapman, DeJa Skye as both a Social Justice Corner queen and a cow, Bosco doing bashful brain surgery and Kornbread rolling off a table. The Night of a Thousand JLo's didn't necessarily have us getting loud, but we have nothing but love for Loni, we appreciated Ru's appreciation of nuance, and speaking of Nuance…we'll save our thoughts on that lip sync for the aftershow… Patreon: www.patreon.com/alrightmary Email: alrightmarypodcast@gmail.com Instagram: @alrightmarypod Twitter: @alrightmary Johnny: @johnnyalso (Instagram) // @johnnyalso1 (Twitter) Colin: @colindrucker_ (Instagram) // @colindrucker (Twitter) Web: www.tasteofreality.com/alright-mary/ www.alrightmary.com BetterHelp Promo: betterhelp.com/AlrightMary(discount code: AlrightMary)

It's back! And by it I mean Sam Dowler. Back after a looong six week hiatus, and we're very happy to be hearing his nonsense once again in 2022. IMPORTANT INFO: We'll be doing Spoiler-free POVs at the beginning of every ep, so if you're not watching this season because of the Netflix/Wow saga (which we also get into) then still tune in for that. And beyond that we talk about not a big pill but a WILLOW PILL and THAT talent show performance, the force that is Cornbread and our first elimination, in the first episode of season 14. Plus, Lizzo! And for anyone who wants to hear our views on Canada's Drag Race, we'll be posting our recap of the series on Patreon later this week, so join now! Oh, maybe we are as bad as Ru…. Undergarments everywhere, a talent show debut, jerking or twerking or improv, Kerri Colby's face, and all the Kornbread. Season 14 is back and it feels so right! We still don't know what Willow Pill did, but thank-the-Evie-Oddly it happened. We kick off this week with The-Bachelor-and-Drag- Race obsessed Kali Tripodis. Kali hosts the ultimate Bachelor after show Trashler and brings all her hot takes to the yard. If that is not enough, we have the one and only Savannah Couture - Drag daughter and real-life sibling of Isis Couture - fresh from the emotional journey that has been the seriously fierce Ottawan drag taking over the world. Who are we? Get ready. We are going to deep dive into La Pusetta, Olivia Rodrigo, Gaga, and more shade than anyone deserves. Kali Tripodis is a comedy writer, performer, and Lady Gaga historian. She lives in New York and loves to perform improv, sketch, and of course, karaoke. Serving you cotton candy bubblegum princess, Savannah Couture is the perfect sugary sweet sensation. The only thing sweeter than her looks is Savannah herself! She has been performing drag for many years and is one of Ottawa's favourite queens in the drag scene. She starred in season 2 of CBC's Canada's A Drag with her drag mother/sister Icesis Couture and is a headline performer at The Lookout Bar, as well as many other popular venues in and around Ottawa. She's even toured across the country opening up for your favourite RuPaul's Drag Race queens! This is one galactical barbie NOT to miss! Season 14 kicks off with a split premiere featuring seven new queens, Best Supporting Lizzo, a talent show and a surprising number of quotes just waiting to be driven into the ground. (By either RuPaul or us.) While it's taking the Jambalaya a bit to heat up, Kornbread comes in hot, sweet and gif-able from the get-go. Alyssa Hunter looks like quite a Chase but her air guitar doesn't strike a chord, Bosco petals burlesque on the runway and great commentator energy in the talking heads, Kerrie jumps rope but could easily jump networks, Orion calls Ru on her hamburger phone but the connection is cut short and Willow Pill inspires an unfortunate amount of baby talk.
