Carlos Mendoza gave us the good news on the Manaea injury. Jason Kelce was on a podcast with Charles Barkley and said Travis wanted to be called ‘Chuck' as a kid. Charles then said he wanted to be called ‘Travis'. MSG broadcaster Al Trautwig passed away.
Hey Patrick Mahomes, your play was so gross and sloppy I almost confused it for the French dish Ratatouille! (Get absolutely REKT) That perfect burn leads us into this weeks episode about the soup from Pixar's Ratatouille. It looks good! Unlike that frog voiced dope from Kanas City. (REKT again!) Send us a textFor this episode of Brewstilled, it's a recap of Super Bowl 59 between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs. In this game, the Eagles won in a lopsided game in where the Eagles dominated the entire time as Kanas City never got in a rhythm. Jalen Hurts is the games MVP while the Eagles defense played a key role in this win. Does this end the Chiefs NFL dominance? Are the Eagles going to become the NFL's next dynasty? Could this also become a new Super Bowl rivalry? There is also the question if a team can win three Super Bowls in a row. I'll be discussing this and more here on Brewstilled with a Porter from Alaro Brewing as the beer pairing.
The Word of the Day is Confident (0:00-11:36) The Eagles offense was rarely together this season. When they played and finished games the Eagles offense was in complete control of their games. (11:36-21:09) The coaching staff has the respect and confidence to win the Super Bowl. From the bottom to the top, this coaching staff has performed well past the level of expectations. (21:09-32:07) Multiple people on the text line have referenced the Eagles to Rocky movies. Sylvana is frustrated about the comparison because people are using the wrong Rocky movies. (32:07-44:28) The Eagles will need to take victory away from the Chiefs. Kanas City is going to be extremely focused, and the Eagles will need to match them. Hart and Fitzy discuss the continued comparison between Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes, and what another Super Bowl victory would mean for Mahomes' legacy. Plus, a lengthy discussion about freakazoids.
Phil Simms joins us in his usual Wednesday spot. We talked about Patrick Mahomes getting all the calls from the refs. We talked about the quarterback performances in the divisional games. Phil talked about playing in terrible windy conditions in the playoffs. Phil said of the KC defense, ‘Oh My Gosh'. Phil said ‘there's no Jayden Daniels out there for the Giants this year'. Jerry returns for an update, but first Boomer is dealing with a fellow employee who thinks others see him as a jerk. Ben Johnson was given a hero's welcome when he went into the Bears' facility. Brian Schottenheimer is the leading candidate for the Cowboys job and it's not sitting well with the hosts in Dallas. Jerry Jones is not going to hire somebody that outshines Jerry Jones. Lamar Jackson went over to Mark Andrews after the dropped 2-point conversion to say it's the whole team, not just him. In the final segment of the hour, America is definitely rooting for the Bills over the Chiefs.
On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by Joe From Queens literally just moments after the Buffalo Bills survived the Baltimore Ravens in a wild finish, 27-25 to advance to next week's AFC title game in Kanas City. The guys discuss the good, bad and ugly and there was plenty of all---but in the end all that matters is the Bills are going to their first AFC championship game since 2020, when they lost in Kansas City. The Bills were clearly the better team in the first half, racking up 87 yards on the ground and going three for three in the red zone while getting two defensive takeaways to go into the locker room with a 21-10 lead and a chance to put the game essentially away by getting the ball to start the second half. But the second half was a different story, the Ravens defense shut down the Bills running game and Allen couldn't get anything significant going in the air. The defense also crumbled to the Lamar Jackson the second half. However, Terrel Bernard had a huge forced fumble in the fourth quarter that ultimately provided the winning points. The guys talk about all this and much in pretty emotional instant reaction fashion as well as turning it's energy towards Kansas City. Follow Joe on Blue Sky @BuffaloWins.bluesky.social. Major props to Talking Buffalo sponsor, Sonny Red's at 1841 Abbott Road in Lackawanna, just minutes from Highmark Stadium. Hour 1 When we come back on Monday, it's ‘black Monday', where NFL coaches get fired. Will we get another regime change for the Giants? Boomer doesn't think any of the QBs in the draft are good enough for the Giants to trade up for. Boomer can see the Giants getting Carson Wentz as a ‘stop gap' quarterback. If Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll stay, what will the fans think if they're sitting at 1-7 midway through the season? C-Lo is in for Jerry and is here for his first update of the day. He starts with audio of Saquon Barkley doing a commercial for a sleep aid where he takes a shot at the Giants and John Mara. C-Lo and Boomer then talked about the Rangers and the rest of us were bored. We then got into some sound from the Steelers postgame between George Pickens and Russell Wilson. In the final segment of the hour, Gio talked about a few documentaries he watched yesterday. One was on the artist Avicii and one was on a guy who's trying to slow down aging called, ‘Don't Die'. Hour 2 We have two games on Saturday: Browns at Ravens and Bengals at Steelers. If the Ravens win, they win the division. Boomer wonders if Mike Tomlin will rest players if the Ravens win. Gio said the Steelers should not rest players and try and win so they go to Houston instead of having to play Baltimore. The Steelers always have winning seasons, but they have not won a playoff game in a really long time. It feels like it's going to be the Chiefs again in the AFC. We talked about the huge Vikings/Lions game. Gio is worried about the Vikings if they have to play in Philadelphia. C-Lo returns for an update and he and Boomer get into the Rangers for a few minutes. Mike Vrabel is interviewing with the Jets today. Boomer wonders who the GM would be if Vrabel is the head coach. Boomer said Vrabel is a guy who could change the culture. Gio would be impressed if the Jets can land him. Mike Tomlin talked about having to get the stink off this week as they play the Bengals. Kliff Kingsbury was asked if he wants to be a head coach again after his success in Washington. Notre Dame won the Sugar Bowl and had a huge kickoff return. In the final segment of the hour, Eddie is out again because he's observing wolves in Wyoming. Hour 3 Every year there's a surprise NFL head coach firing. Last year it was Mike Vrabel. Who are the potential shocking firings this year? Is there a team in a dome or warm weather that would need a QB that could be a fit for Kirk Cousins? C-Lo returns for an update and starts with some Jets talk. Mike Vrabel is interviewing with them today. C-Lo went around the NBA yesterday. Jimmy Butler seems to want out of Miami. We heard from Jerry Recco on the call as Rutgers lost to Indiana. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer continues his love of Precious Achiuwa. A caller wonders if Sean McDermott is on the hot seat if they get bounced in the first playoff game. Hour 4 We talked about Mike Vrabel interviewing with the Jets. Gio would be shocked if the Jets could convince him to coach the Jets. Boomer said you can't let him out of the building today. Gio suggests a tranquilizer dart. C-Lo returns for his final update of the day, but first we found out yesterday that someone who works in the sales department at Audacy here in NY died in the New Orleans terror attack. C-Lo has audio of Jeff Ulbrich saying nice things about Aaron Rodgers. Shannon Sharpe has had enough with Zeke Elliott continuing to try and play. Stephen A. Smith was way off on his Sam Darnold stats. Joe Buck was on the Andrew Marchand podcast, which we found out you have to pay for which can't possibly be working. The Moment of The Day: Ralph from East Rockaway has some facts about wolves vs dogs. In the final segment of the show, our Week 18 NFL Picks.
We talked about the Detroit Lions in their pursuit of their first Super Bowl but they have a ton of injuries right now. Their OC, Ben Johnson, is probably getting a head coaching job next season so they need to win this year. They have a lot of injuries on the defensive side so they need to score a lot of points to win. A lot of the top teams have bad defenses like the Lions, Bills and Ravens. Boomer said the Chiefs defense and the Texans are solid. The most balanced teams are the Eagles, Vikings and Chiefs. Gio thinks it would be wild for Sam Darnold and Daniel Jones to get a Super Bowl ring this year with the Vikings. Jerry returns for an update and starts with clips of the Aaron Rodgers documentary which is available on Netflix today. He talked about tapping into his feminine side. The Vikings beat the Bears and the Falcons beat the Raiders and Kirk Cousins finally threw a TD pass. Mike Tomlin gave an update on TJ Watt. Adam Schein was gloating about Josh Allen's season. Bill Belichick was on with Pat McAfee talking about his new job at UNC. In the final segment of the hour, we will be going to our ‘man dinner' tonight in Jersey City. We are going to take the ferry to JC.

Send us a textFor this episode of Brewstilled, I'll be recapping Week 3 for the 2024 NFL Season and for the House of the Lombardi. For week 3, we saw the Lombardi teams go almost even in terms of wins and losses. The Chargers got their first loss against the Pittsburgh Steelers in where Justin Herbet left the game early for an ankle injury. How bad is the Justin Herbet injury? Tampa Bay also lost their first game in their loss to the Denver Broncos. The Raiders also suffered a surprise loss in their game against the Carolina Panthers. Yet, it appears there is tension within the Raiders organization. Could Da'Vante Adams be on his way out with the Raiders? The Rams got their first win in their game against the 49ners. Did the Rams reset their season from this win? The Lion won a close game against the Arizona Cardinals. The Dallas Cowboys and the Baltimore Ravens played each other in a must win for both teams. The Ravens won giving them their first win. As for the Cowboys, they're in trouble. The question is how bad is it? For the Atlanta Falcons they lost a close game to Kanas City. I'll be discussing all this here on Brewstilled with an Oktoberfest style Festbier from Logoff Brewing as the beer pairing. It's all here on Brewstilled!
We've got two games to cover this week! One was the matchup of the weekend on paper, but fizzled out to a 0-0 draw between the Pride and Current. Send us a textFor this episode of Brewstilled, it's the start of the 2024 NFL Season and the House of The Lombardi. I'll be recapping the Thursday Night Football matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and the Kansas City Chiefs. The Baltimore Ravens are a member for this year's edition for the House of The Lombardi, and they're off to a rough start. We saw the Ravens lose in a rather anti climatic thriller against Kansas City in a game the Ravens should have won. There are now several questions surrounding the Ravens after this loss. Why can't Lamar Jackson beat Kanas City? What's holding back the Ravens? Can they bounce back in week 2? All this and more will be discussed on this edition of Brewstilled as the 2024 NFL Season and the House of the Lombardi begins. A German Style Pilsner from Elder Pine Brewing and Blending is on tap for the beer pairing. It's all here on Brewstilled!

For week 9 of the 2023 NFL season, the theme was what now? With the halfway point of the 2023 NFL season approaching, we're starting to see where things stand with the House of Lombardi teams. For the New York Jets, they won in what has been called one of the ugliest best games you'll ever see. With this win the Jets continue to pave the way for a path to the playoffs, but will they have Aaron Rogers return just in time or will Zach Wilson be their guy? For the Carolina Panthers, the got their first win. Yet, what does this win mean for the Carolina Panthers? The Detroit Lions and The Raiders faced off on Monday night where the Lions avenged their loss against the Ravens. For the Raiders their season is also over, but will they begin to work on solutions by making trades by securing draft picks? All this and more will be discussed here on Brewstilled with a Saison Style beer from Moonlight Brewing Company as the beer pairing.

Today, we are going to hear from CiCi Rojas, the 1st Latina in the year history of YMCA of the USA as 1st US National Board Chair! Congratulations! CiCi shares her DYI experience as a mother of 4 children, and college graduate, that by leveraging her Spanish, gave her the confidence to build alliances to work within Kanas City as a car salesman, to becoming the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce President in Dallas, Texas! The work into the boardroom she says, " was building my confidence to saying yes, put me in this role, I can do it!" which opened up more opportunities and also sponsorship into leadership roles. CiCi also mentions how sponsorship is just as important as mentorship, but the difference is this... "that people advocating for you as leader, while you're not in the "room," is someone who is really going to the line for you." WOW! CiCi's tenacity lead to her building a multicultural marketing agency, Tico Productions and Sports, for professional sports media to be broadcasted in Spanish for the NFL, MLB, and Hockey. She says, "this is the wake up call for all sports agencies on and off the field through technology and media regarding the Latino population." Understanding the importance of saying "yes!" to building community, sports advocacy for youth and creating important healthcare business alliances gave CiCi the opportunity to be the 1st Latina in history for this role as a US National YMCA Board Chair. Thank you CiCi, for breaking a 177 year old ceiling leading into the boardroom of the YMCA organization, here in the USA. Gracias, to Edelman PR agency and the USA National YMCA for this opportunity to share this wonderful story about Latinas breaking into the boardroom. Locked On White Sox - Daily Podcast On The Chicago White Sox
It was another painful loss for the Chicago White Sox. They fell to the Kansas City Royals on Wednesday night, 8-3. White Sox starter, Johnny Cueto, pitched six innings and gave up only two earned runs which meant he notched his 13th quality start of the season. Cueto has had an impressive season and his teammates gave taken note. Unfortunately for Cueto, the White Sox were not able to provide much run support at all. The only significant offensive opportunity for the Sox came in the 6th inning when Kansas City's second baseman could not handle a ground ball causing two runs to score. White Sox bullpen also had an uncharacteristically bad evening, giving up five runs in two innings. The White Sox go for the series split on Thursday afternoon.Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!Built BarBuilt Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar.
