The attraction started in second grade after his best friend dared him to dress up as Elvis for Halloween, which began the love affair for the King of Rock n Roll. Aiden also sings Johnny Cash, Josh Turner and a couple others but Elvis is his niche. He says, Elvis is a friend of his that he never got to meet and since 2nd Grade he has been singing his songs that began with “Jailhouse Rock.” Aiden spends an hour every day practicing Elvis's music. He states he has watch every single video on YouTube that Elvis has watched to perfect his mannerisms and movement and some of these moves come natural to Aiden. He has jumpsuits made specifically for him along with the replica clothes and he completely embraces this vintage look and mentions; he was born in the wrong era!Being part of a big competition in Memphis in the Big “little” King Division, he will be performing in the Graceland tent very soon, but Aiden really wants to be the Ultimate Elvis and has been to Tupelo, MS many times and performed right outside the birthplace of Elvis! Learning to sing in his teens, Pat was inspired by the sounds of motown, which would foreshadow a little ‘doo wop' in his future.Getting together with Miles Holmwood, Robert Chalifoux, Daniel Johnson, and Aaron Verdonk, Pat would spend his early 20's as the frontman for Canadian pop punk rock band Stereos. The band blew up after being featured on Much Music's “disBAND”, and winning over Gene Simmons. Stereos would teach Pat a lot about life in a band, being a rockstar (and unlearning the rockstar attitude), and hard work rehearsing five day a week paying off. Hits like “Summer Girl”, “Throw Ya Hands Up” and “Butterflies” would send the band up the charts.After his punk rock days would come to a close, Pat decided to lean into his Alberta side, and begin writing and recording country music. We talked with Pat about his career highs, lows, and more. EPISODE 132: A soulful and distinctive singer, talented keyboardist and songwriter, T Bear (Richard T Bear) made his mark as a solo artist and collaborator with many iconic artists—Crosby, Stills and Nash, The Blues Brothers, Richie Havens, Cher, Paul Shaffer, to name a few. In 1978, T Bear signed with RCA Records and released Red, Hot & Blue that featured Les Dudek, Billy Squier, and the Brecker Brothers. He has shared the stage with Richie Havens, Odetta, The Doobie Brothers and Jeff Beck. Domestic responsibilities and a struggle to regain his sobriety, which he did in 1983, forced him to put his music career on hold. He became instrumental in developing the Musicians Picnic, serving on its board of directors, which led to the creation of Musicians Assistance Program, now part of MusiCares Foundation. I had great teachers like Rodney Whitaker, the great upright bass player in Detroit. You stay open for the moments, for those times when you might go off script. But that's where the magic is. That's the sauce. Those are the moments I freaking live for. A friend of mine brought him to see me play, and I met him and I asked him if he teaches lessons. He goes, no, no man, just play. Just come down every Monday night. I'm at this club. Just come down. So I would go down there and watch him play. Just like what you guys were talking about. And he would say, oh yeah, you're that guy. A drummer, okay, you're up next set. And you'd have to just sit in with his band, which is a full R&B band with horns and they'd be like, oh shit. Clyde's got another drummer. Shit. So you'd have to sit in with his band and hold your own. He was very open to that. And we became great friends his whole life and we played together a lot.-Wally Ingram on learning from legendary James Brown drummer, Clyde StubblefieldI was at the show seeing Robert Randolph when I was 11 years old. My dad got everybody in the section to point at me…this kid, this kid! So he calls me up. I played for two minutes and then his guitar tech came to usher me off. Like, okay, that was it. Good job buddy. And then Rob Randolph waved him off, and said, no, no, no, he's staying up. So I  played a whole 20 minutes with him. He lifted me up. Yeah. Put me on top of a chair. I didn't know it was happening, my legs were flailing!-Ari Teitel reflecting on his big moment on stage with Robert Randolph at age 11 I didn't really know the function of a keyboard in a band fully until I heard about Ray Charles and heard what he did for the first time. I had never played a Rhodes piano. It felt insane the first time I played one. It was Ray Charles really that opened my mind. And then it was like Art Tatum and Oscar Peterson. And that was cool with my parents 'cause they were classically proficient. But then it started to deepen. Then you, obviously, learn about Miles Davis
