Jerry returns for an update and starts with Todd McShay saying Joe Douglas will be fine, the Jets will not. McShay said it's an ownership problem. Shedeur Sanders was asked by his podcast co-host and teammate about going to the Giants. Gio wonders if John Mara would want that circus. Michael Irvin said Deion and Shedeur would go to the Cowboys together. Gio said Mara likes Huckleberry Finn as a quarterback. In the final segment of the hour, Gio and his wife go to separate rooms to watch TV at night because they want to watch 2 different things. Gio said there is a new season of 1,000 Pound Sisters that they watch together. Hour 3 Phil Simms joins us on the phone in his weekly spot. Boomer asks him what Aaron Rodgers' opinion of this Joe Douglas situation will be. Boomer said the Jets need a big personality as head coach, how would Jon Gruden work with the Jets? We got Phil's thoughts on Tommy DeVito getting the start this week. Phil seems to like QB Carson Beck of Georgia. Jerry returns for an update but first Boomer has a coaching candidate for two years from now. Defensive Coordinator of the Chargers, Jesse Minter. Jerry starts with Kevin Stefanski talking about outside noise being the head coach of the Browns. Stephen A. Smith is worried about Jerry Jones and compares him to Joe Biden. Micah Parsons said of the Cowboys, ‘we're a damn good football team'. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about Army vs Notre Dame Saturday night at Yankee Stadium. Boomer said it would be a tall order for Army to win. Hour 4 We recapped the disaster the Jets are after firing Joe Douglas. This, after firing Rob Saleh and Aaron Rodgers being a terrible quarterback this season. Woody Johnson went all in but then started making decisions on his own. We talked about Tommy DeVito getting the start on Sunday in front of the home crowd. They had to give the fans something to look forward to. They haven't won a home game yet this season. Hour 2 Is there any actual Juan Soto news, because if not we can't talk about him. Gio wonders what it would cost to have former Mets bust Carlos Baerga at a kid's birthday party. Boomer then said the next 7 weeks are going to be tough for Daniel Jones now that he's been benched. Gio said Drew Lock is the one that should be upset. Adrian Lipscombe is a native Texan, a chef, an urban planner, and a civic activist, though she prefers the term catalyst. In 2016, she moved to La Crosse, Wisconsin and opened Uptowne Café, a gathering place and a space for her to explore the synergy behind her Southern upbringing, Midwest ingredients and African American culinary history. In 2020, she founded the 40 Acres Project, which seeks to preserve the legacy of Black agriculture and foodways through the purchase of Black owned land. She's also a founding member of the Muloma Heritage Center, a non-profit exploring the African Atlantic influences in American culture, she serves on the board of the Edna Lewis Foundation, she's cooking at festivals and events all around the country, and today, was featured in NY Daily News for an upcoming Juneteenth Celebration with the James Beard Foundation. Adrian currently lives in Austin while pursuing a PhD in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Texas at Austin.
