Devastating day for the defense and a great day for the all-star Commonwealth team of Hank Brennan, Adam Lally & Laura McLaughlin. Karen Read's lawyer ignores the devastating black box car data shows John O'Keefe's phone stopped moving seconds after Karen Read's SUC crashed into him and instead harangues forensic data expert Shanon Burgess about how he presented his schooling on his CV in a previous case. But the jaw-dropper of the day was when Hank Brennan played the clip of Karen Read informing the “Body in the Snow” tv show crew that John O'Keefe died at approx 12:25 or 12:30. This confirms the black box data that Karen Read reversed into John O'Keefe at around 12:31:47am - 12:31:55am. John O'Keefe's phone stopped moving (adjusted for the clock drift) 12:31:47 am. Either Karen Read is psychic or she knows she fatally injured John when she chose to reverse into him at approx. 24 mph with her foot approx. 75 % down on the gas pedal with her infotainment system alarm blaring & flashing- warning Read she was about to hit John. Despite Read's car dire warning, Read never touched the brake. Get access to exclusive content & support the podcast by becoming a Patron today! https://patreon.com/robertaglasstruecrimereportThrow a tip in the tip jar! https://buymeacoffee.com/robertaglassSupport Roberta by sending a donation via Venmo. https://venmo.com/robertaglassBecome a channnel member for custom Emojis, first looks and exclusive streams here: https://youtube.com/@robertaglass/joinShow Notes:Innocence Fraud Watch 'Killer Karen Read Retrial: (UPDATED) Based On Totality Of Evidence & Psychopathic Murderers Sadistic Personality Her 12:41:35am Voice Mail Appears Intentional. Send us a textFifteen years ago today, Tim Brown was in a psychiatric ward, struggling with addiction and a distorted sense of reality. Now he's the founder of a successful marketing agency helping contractors across the country. This profound synchronicity frames our powerful conversation about recovery, purpose, and the journey to authentic success.Tim's story isn't just about quitting substances—it's about discovering a new way of living. We explore how recovery provides a framework for rebuilding your internal compass after addiction disrupts your ability to trust your instincts. Tim shares how he's replaced artificial highs with genuine adventures, from silent meditation retreats that brought him to tears to swimming with sharks and building businesses that serve others. The conversation takes fascinating turns as we examine the parallels between recovery principles and business ethics. Tim reveals how his approach to marketing for home service contractors mirrors his philosophy of recovery—creating genuine value, practicing  radical honesty, and ensuring every exchange benefits both parties. We dive deep into the psychology of sales, discussing how to create authentic connections without manipulation.Perhaps most movingly, Tim opens up about overcoming self-sabotage and learning self-compassion. "How would I treat a friend?" becomes his guiding question in both personal and professional life. He explains the fundamental difference between simply abstaining from substances and truly recovering—finding meaning, purpose, and joy through service to others.Whether you're in recovery yourself, know someone who is struggling, or simply want to live with greater authenticity and purpose, Tim's journey offers profound wisdom about what it means to let go of control and find your true north. Join us for this candid, inspiring conversation about transformation and the unexpected gifts that can emerge from our darkest moments.https://coreyberrier.gumroad.com/ Support the show https://www.audible.com/pd/9-Simple-Steps-to-Sell-More-ht-Audiobook/B0D4SJYD4Q?source_code=ASSORAP0511160006&share_location=library_overflowhttps://www.amazon.com/Simple-Steps-Sell-More-Stereotypes-ebook/dp/B0BRNSFYG6/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1OSB7HX6FQMHS&keywords=corey+berrier&qid=1674232549&sprefix=%2Caps%2C93&sr=8-1 https://www.linkedin.com/in/coreysalescoach/

Found a great little quote here for all of us to focus on with trying to help others. Art of Thinking (@Art0fThinking)  mentions this great reminder: “Never discourage anyone who continually makes progress, no matter how slow.” - Plato. The world needs more encouragement, even when someone is going slower than what we think they should. Their journey is not ours, remember that. This also goes with any and all conversations that we have with the person staring back at us in the mirror. The world needs more encouragement for sure.  Thanks for listening.  Please take a few moments to subscribe & share this with someone, also leave a 5 Star rating on Apple Podcasts and ITunes or other services where you find this show.  Find me on Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/coachtoexpectsuccess/   on Twitter / “X”:  @coachtosuccess   and on Instagram at:  @coachjohndaly  - My YouTube Channel is at: Coach John Daly.   Email me at: CoachJohnDalyPodcast@gmail.com     You can also head on over to https://www.coachtoexpectsuccess.com/ and get in touch with me there on my homepage along with checking out my Top Book list too.  Other things there on my site are being worked on too.  Please let me know that you are reaching out to me from my podcast.

Had to share this important reminder for all of us, because all of us come across feeling like this many times throughout life.  Inky Johnson (@inkyjohnson) gives us some things to connect with this statement: “A champion is made on the other side of I don't feel like it.” I think it's important to remind ourselves that we need to define what being a champion means to ourselves, and not really have to follow other people's definition. We also need to realize the importance of having that definition to work on for ourselves too. One thing for sure, there are always things to work on ourselves - that's what makes our life journey so great (just one of many things), we always have something to do towards helping ourselves become the person we were meant to be!

Found another deep reflective post, this one from Power of Positivity (@LIVEpositivity) where they shared this thought and it's not just advice for trees.  “Heal the root so the tree is stable.” We are the tree and we need to take care of our foundation so that our branches (and even any “fruit” we produce) which are the things we do and the people we connect with, can be their very best, all throughout our lives!  Another positive reminder for me to keep working on things I know I need to do.

Found a very powerful thought from Mindful Maven (@mindfulmaven_) “Those who died yesterday had a plan for this morning. And those who died this morning had plans for tonight. Don't take life for granted. In the blink of an eye, everything can change. So forgive often and love with a full heart. You never know when you may not have that chance again.” This got me thinking of course and I hope it does the same for you. It's a reminder for us to keep trying to be our best in life and that if we do our best every day, when things like this do happen, we will not have any extra grief to deal with.  During this recording I had plenty of examples of friends & loved ones going through tough times when someone unexpectedly leaves this world.  Lots of emotions rolling in this episode too.

This post from Inspiration & More (@LifeWithJohn) caught my eye since I've had many connections - recently for sure - to what he's talking about here. In fact, I think all of us have a connection to this post.  He shared this:  “I think sometimes we are hugged by people in our sleep that aren't there. But their souls stop by and leave us some strength. ~ Amen!”  Again, I've shared this before that I truly believe we are spiritual beings having a human experience here on earth.  It's very emotional when I have dreams about people that I love & care for - especially those that have passed on already. As I'm typing these show notes, two things here got me thinking. First - how often I think of my “balcony people” (those that came before me and had an impact on me and my life and they are in heaven, cheering me on as if they were looking over a many-level balcony), it's me thinking about them, many times a day - every single day.  Second - how much I'm struggling typing with my arthritis pain.  Writing is even worse. So things like this are taking me longer for sure.  This also is connected to me thinking about what my “balcony people”  had to put up with and suffer through during their lives.  It helps to remind me that I'm ok.

From my morning readings today, namely John Maxwell's “Daily Reader” I found a fabulous reminder that ties in a lot for me.  It not only reminds me (and I'm sharing this to remind you as well) about having the willingness to take great risks towards the things I want to do and not play it so safe so often.  It also reminds me more to write things down - goals, dreams, etc.  “Writing is the doing part of thinking” so I've heard from Sam Crowley and many others as to the importance of writing things down & not just thinking about them or saying them.  There is a lot of work for me to do to help myself out and to be more bold in what I want to accomplish and getting out of my own way is a big part of it for sure.  What is it for you?

Couple things to connect here.  First of all, my longtime friend, Doug Evans posted this much needed reminder for me and for all of us: “Sending love to everyone who is trying to hear from the things they do not discuss.”  This covers all of us for sure as we are all dealing with something. Right now. Wherever we are at. We are dealing with something. The other part of this was a dental assistant that was helping my dentist with a procedure of taking care of putting in a new crown for me.  We talked a bit while we had to wait for some things, and she mentioned how hard her husband has been working as a firefighter.  He's been doing it for 25 years or so. Almost died once and has been trapped & injured numerous times.  The tough times he's been through and currently going through.  It was a great talk and she had to apologize to me for making me cry. I told her that it was no problem as to me, that shows what life is all about.  This helped me as I (once again) was going through some tough times with how I was feeling and thinking about myself. Hope this helps you too. Saw this great thought from “TeacherGoals” (@teachergoals) and I know it's totally true because I have lived both sides of this.  The post said “You often feel tired, not because you've done too much, but because you've done too little of what sparks a light in you.”  WOW… how true is this???  It's right on target.  I know I need to (and have been doing a bit more in this area lately) keep doing things that fill my tank, light the spark inside of me, put a smile on my face and my heart, etc. Sure there are things we all have to do that do the opposite and we don't like to do - but we know we have to do those certain things.  But why do I want to keep doing extra things that drown out my spark & spirit in my life?  Powerful reflection here my friends.

Just got into a group with Ben Newman - host of the “The Burn Podcast”, so many powerful episodes for you to check out.  His coaching group that he just started (for free) is something I just connected with too.  Find more info here:  The Mental Toughness Academy.  This group is something that has some inspiring topics for helping me to focus on and to hold myself accountable. This also shows that there are things out there that don't cost any money, that can help you to keep getting better in the areas in your life that you want to (and need to), along with it helping you to make sure you don't “dim your light”.  We all need help to shine and we all have things we need to “shine the light on” in order to help ourselves and others.  Everything I share with you, are things that I find out there that I think are good things to connect with.   This is one of them for sure.

Multiple levels of teaching coming from Alan Stein Jr. here. (@alansteinjr).  First of all he reminds us that we are responsible to define our own success.  Success looks different to different people.  It's not a one size fits all.  The second one he shared is directly connected to success.  Life is all about looking for our inner peace and connecting the things we hold near and dear to our hearts, those things we really do value.  Don't forget to start looking at the distractions that keep us from this - as things we need to get rid of.   A last second throw in that I saw another connection to all of this, was this gem: “The ability to make other people better is one of the most valuable skills on the planet.”  All of these things are items we need to look at focusing on in our lives.

Carlyn felt her calendar was running her instead of her running her calendar. So she asked the powers that be to help her find the space within the craziness and voila! Her wish was granted! Maybe a little too good. Now she fears not making end of the year goals, or having loss of revenue, the list goes on. She has found the courage to face her fears and is giving herself the grace to work through them and be ok with this season she is in. She shared a quote by Martin Luther King Jr, "Courage is the power of the mind to overcome fear." She has used that courage to fill the time with cave days and improving materials that she can use to better her business as well as her clients.  AND she is learning to take her own advice and give herself grace throughout this process. "It is a muscle that needs to be worked." It truly is. If you have formed a habit of beating yourself up, it will take work to form the new habit of grace but it can be done! As we approach the summer season and for some a slow season, we can learn NOW how to get creative and plan NOW for Q3 and Q4. To be prepared for the holiday season and skip the stress! And guess what? You don't have to reinvent the wheel! Start with what you did last year and tweak it just a bit!  Here are a couple of questions we asked today to get you thinking! This week we are rebroadcasting our interview with Ella Noah Bancroft, originally aired in March of 2021. “We forget that so much is given freely, that this world is meant to be enjoyed.” We heed this powerful reminder by guest Ella Noah Bancroft. As our belief systems have become entwined with the dominant economic structure, we see the commodification of our wellness, intimacy, and connectivity - a phenomenon that is severely hindering our ability to connect authentically. In conversation, Ella traces the powerful connection between our ability to go against mainstream capitalist ways of being and our capacity for deep connection with ourselves and each other. With intimacy as an entrance point, our conversation explores what happens when we derive our pleasure from extraction, the kind of deep embodiment and connectivity that threatens capitalistic and colonial structures, and how we can journey back into spaces of trust through practices that don't have to cost us a thing. Ella Noah Bancroft is a Bundjalung woman based in the Northern New South Wales, Australia. Ella identifies as mixed heritage Indigenous, gay woman. She grew up living in both worlds, her Indigenous world and the mainstream Australian world. Both challenged her identity in different ways. She is an Australian born artist, storyteller, mentor and founder of “The Returning” and Yhi Collective. Music by Harrison Foster, Lady Moon & The Eclipse, and Sucúlima.
