****LABEL/COLLECTIF**** Sdban ultra https://www.sdbanrecords.com/ *** INFOS *** Futuristic Brussels based four-piece ECHT! are set to release their sophomore album ‘Sink-Along' on the 5th May via the groove-obsessed Sdban Ultra label. Receiving critical acclaim from the likes of Gilles Peterson (BBC Radio 6 Music) and Mixmag for their debut release ‘INWANE' (2021), ECHT! takes the best of Jonwayne, DJ Rashad, J Dilla, Ivy Lab, Tsuruda and Aphex Twin, resulting in an unrivalled sound. In a society geared almost exclusively toward the technological, ECHT! forges a different path, one that instead replaces the mechanical with the human. At the heart of their creative process made up of actual skin and bone, the influences of trap, bass music, jazz and hip-hop burst forth through their expert playing of instruments. ‘Sink-Along' showcases a rawer and more straight-forward approach than their debut. Whether on the bass-heavy opener 'Glide' or the beat-to-beat sounds of 'Cheesecake' and 'Bryan Brains', ECHT! confirms its taste for deep, dark beats pushed to the extreme. No one can remain indifferent. A more luminous universe is brought to the fore on the introspective ‘Vault-A' and 'Dawn In Duden' but at the core of ‘Sink-Along', the common denominator is a warm and organic groove, evident on the inventive 'Rouf-rouf' and 'Mtwk part2'. "For this album we wanted to make strong and opposite emotions coexist: a dark and intense apocalyptic tendency, and a life and dance impulse that runs through everything. A paradox that is reflected in the wordplay of the title 'Sink-Along'." Releasing their debut EP ‘DOUF' in 2019, the following year, ECHT! finished third in Red Bull Elektropedia's ‘Fresh on The Scene' category and the EP was nominated for ‘Best EP'. ECHT! released three sublime live studio sessions titled the BREWmixes in 2021, which received support from tastemakers including LEFTO, Worldwide FM and Belgian national radio station Studio Brussel (StuBru). Their debut album ‘INWANE' soon followed. Echt means ‘vrai de vrai' - ‘true' or ‘real' in brusseleir (Brabantian dialect of Brussels). The name is a direct reference to the fact that their sound transmission is ‘real', performed with conventional musical instruments as opposed to computer music which the production might suggest. It also relates to the fact that none of the members of the band are originally from Brussels – bassist Federico Pecoraro is from Italy, keyboardist Dorian Dumont is from France and drummer Martin Méreau and guitarist Florent Jeunieaux are both from the Mons region on Belgium. ***WEB/RS*** https://echt.bandcamp.com ***Track.ID*** https://www.radiocampus.fr/emission/campus-club-mixtapes ------------------------------------------------------ RADIO CAMPUS FRANCE Radio Campus France est le réseau des radios associatives, libres, étudiantes et locales fédérant 30 radios partout en France. Emerging from America's grassroots electronic scene, EAZYBAKED is compelling listeners and contemporaries with its charismatic, contemporary take on Bass music. Eric Ray and Andrew Principe's bond dates back 15 years to childhood playgrounds. Following their discovery of DAWs in Senior year of high school, the two began making beats together daily under the monikers ‘EAZY' and ‘Mr. Baked.' Recognizing their chemistry and ability to cocreate, Principe and Ray joined forces to become one as EAZYBAKED. Inspired by acts like Flume, Tsuruda, and Mr. Carmack, the two have created a sonic identity that is experimental, raw, and honest. They first emerged alongside Lost Dogz collective acts like Sumthin Sumthin' and Player Dave. Today, EAZYBAKED has become a household name across the nationwide Bass scene by pushing underground music and its sonic boundaries. To date, the duo has been booked for eclectic venues such as Red Rocks, and performed high-profile festival sets at EDC Orlando, Okeechobee Music Festival, and more. Following their biggest performance to date at Okeechobee in2020, the global pandemic and birth of Principe's child inspired the duo to expand their horizons. This led to the creation of the duo's recently released debut album, INTERTWINED. A number of policymakers have recently begun to consider whether to require “immunity passports” certifying immunity to COVID-19 before returning to workplaces, and even stores, museums, and other public spaces. While critics question the reliability of available antibody tests, such an exit strategy has yet to be seriously challenged on moral and legal grounds. This talk discusses how immunity passports—whether for natural immunity now, or for vaccines at a later date—would unfairly burden the least privileged members of society in ways that raise major civil rights concerns.

Hello person! This week we have Break remixing Mefjus, out today on VISION. Plus more (new) music by Camo & Krooked, Signs, Current Value, Klax & Enei, Tsuruda, and Shyun & Cruk. All this and more things....
Noisia Radio this week: LEViT∆TE's remix for Mefjus, new Current Value, and the title track of Signs’ ‘Naegleria’ EP, out now on our Division imprint. More new music by Klax & Enei, Synergy & Audio, Halogenix, Tsuruda and more..
Organic Wonk: Bust-Down Beats & Off Grilled Synths: Is a slice of raw, mangled trap and hip-hop flavours that will make your head nod and your ears prick up. Inspired by the more experimental sounds of producers like Mr Carmack and Tsuruda, Soundsmiths veteran Pete (Cliffhanga) puts his own unique spin on the sound, making it grittier and funkier than ever before. There's a wide selection of loops covering hard hitting drums, gliding bass, thick pads, grungy melodic elements and a variety of wonky FX. The drum loops combine crisp transients with lo-fi elements and interesting off-grid rhythms. Bass loops hit hard and are dripping in warm movement and saturation. An inspiring mix of smooth melodic loops. The FX here cover a diverse range of sounds from twisted percussion loops to gnarly granular garbles and gritty atmospheric glitches that aren't only useful for ornamentation but are just as comfortable as a focal point of the track. The rest of the pack provides you with all the tools you need to build a complete track, with a range of hard hitting bass hits and drum one shots, a mix of organic and synthetic FX oneshots and some seriously warm dusty pads round out the selection. 24bit / 44.1Khz25 Bass Loops21 Bass Hits56 Full Drum Loops / Top Loops / Bottom Loops / Intro Loops75 Drum Hits34 FX Loops83 Fx Hits28 Melodic Loops15 Pad Loops

We're honoured to welcome South African audio sculptor and bassbin pulveriser - CHEE - to MethLab. For bookings - jef@methlab-agency.com http://methlab-agency.com/agency/artist/chee #MLSubCult FOLLOW CHEE // Soundcloud - https://soundcloud.com/wtfischee Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/wtfischee/ Following several years of lateral experimentation in sound design, South African producer CHEE’s unique hybrid sound erupted into the international domain in 2016 with the release of his Shrodinger EP on Dutch label Underslung and several self-releases. His sonic innovation quickly caught the attention of prime heads in electronica, with tracks featured on leading Youtube portals such as Inspector Dubplate and with Noisia featuring Chee and side project IT HZ tracks on their radio show. With growing hype around his fresh approach and uncompromising bass experimentation with a heavy dancefloor edge, labels started to take a deeper interest. Doorways opened across labels from a variety of genres, with drum & bass focused TYPE91, CLOSE2DEATH and ALGORITHM releasing his fierce take on the sound, whilst rapidly rising bass labels UPSCALE and RENRAKU delivered his raw trap and futurebeat // halfstep influenced material in its full devastating glory. His assured arc of fresh ideas took a firm step in 2017, with the release of his first full-length album FEAR MONGER on SATURATE RECORDS with 12 tracks of pure Chee sound that unfurled a mutant leviathan of bass and demonstrated utterly the potential of one of the most promising names in low-end heavy electronica. Taking influences liberally from his surroundings and combining them into a complex pastiche of audio that has its origins in visual inspirations of visceral art and various theories incubated in the dynamic folds of the internet, as well as in the music that he wraps himself in from the likes of Noisia, Moody Good, Amon Tobin, Skrillex, Ivy Lab and Tsuruda – creators who are pushing at the very fringes of sonic possibility. Chee’s sound has the potential to develop into a genre in its own right – evading being pigeon-holed and classified due to his unrelenting urge to experiment and explore fresh and ill sounds. With an array of high profile releases lined up for 2017, and international touring commencing – the scene is set for this young and gifted artist to flourish. Chee is supported by Moody Good, Noisia, DJ Craze, Culprate, G Jones, Bleep Bloop, edIT (The Glitch Mob), Bare Noize, Bassnectar, Mat Zo and more...
