We've all had that moment (pretty much every morning) where you are standing naked in your closet and deliberating for far too long about what to wear. But it goes beyond that, into how you want to feel, and sometimes, deciding how you want to feel is the ultimate barrier to choosing the right outfit for you. If you've ever struggled with this exact scenario, pull on that bathrobe, grab a hot chocolate, and listen to today's episode with personal stylist and energy coach, Dulce Badillo. Having spent years working retail, and always having fashion and style as part of her life, Dulce works with both women and men, in choosing clothes that authentically embody who they are and how they wish to present themselves to the world. Coupled with her energy coaching, Dulce helps others to recognize their energy is their everything, and that includes their styling and way of dress. Listen in for the following: 1) What you surround yourself in (people, tv, content) creates your own energy and what you emit to the world, including how you dress. Never underestimate the power of what you wear. 2) You can make incremental changes, small, tiny ones each day, and over time, you'll realize that you have actually spurred massive growth -- most likely without realizing it. 3) We aren't meant to stay stagnant, but to grow and evolve constantly. And our dress and clothing is meant to do that as well. @dulcebadillo _ Tik Tok: @dulcebadillo _ https://dulcebadillo.com/

This is not a conversation to be missed as Clarita begins her story with the unforgettable moment of receiving a cancer diagnosis. After spending almost a year in "victim mode", and asking the universe why she was the one to have to walk this path, she decided she needed to change her mindset instead. Fast forward and she is now running her own business and helping people from all over the world tune into their health, not only by the foods they are eating, but by aligning their emotional and spiritual health. If the body and mind aren't aligned, a true path to wholistic wellness cannot be achieved. Clarita started asking the right questions, changed her perspective, and realized she had a new fire underneath her, not only for herself, but for others. Listen in for the following insight and inspiration: 1) If you are eating well, but your mind isn't treating you well, it won't matter how clean you are eating or how many salads you devour. Your body will know it still hosts a toxic environment of thinking. 2) What is wholistic health? It's the intersection between mindset to soul to nutrition to movement. 3) Whole body healing means not just the physical, but diving into the inner self, and seeking those shadows and wounds, letting them come to surface to heal. Everyone grab your flippers, because in today's episode on the show, we are chatting with CEO + Founder of Evo Swim School, based locally here in the Phoenix-Metro Valley - and we really love this story of entrepreneurship and hard work, while not forgoing the work-life balance we all seek. A swimmer since before he could almost walk, David has been in the water his entire life, eventually making it all the way to compete in the Olympic Trials. But his journey didn't stop there. Indeed, it's more where he got started. Deciding he wanted to be in the swimming world, in perhaps a different way than coaching (which he also did), David struck out to build swim schools, forging a somewhat unexpected, entrepreneurship, path. Now the head of multiple successful swim schools, David chats with us about his journey, what went well, what he chose to walk away from, and how gaining a different perspective showed him what was really important through all of these years of building his business. Hop in the pool, then come back and take a listen to learn about the following: 1. Realizing the importance of your mental health and happiness as a business owner, and not letting the journey of growth and expansion consumer you, as it often can in the entrepreneurship world. 2. How he gets kiddos from "person to mermaid" and the greatest delight of his entire career, which is seeing the lightbulb moment when a 2 or 3-year old "gets" swimming - and can cross the pool successfully. 3. We all need to have hobbies that we can enjoy. And that are just that. Hobbies. Not a side hustle, nothing to sell. Nothing to promote. Just an activity that brings us joy. She's back! One of our very favorite guests from season 1, the illustrious Heidi Busche, is back and joining us for another amazing and brilliant episode this week. When we first spoke with Heidi, she was working in the relationship & dating space, and over time, realized that her love for working 1-1 with clients could be expanded! Mid-pandemic, she pivoted her entire business and is now working with clients from all backgrounds as a micro-strategist and accountability coach, helping female entrepreneurs stay on track to realize their business dreams. Today we are talking about one of the most critical points of owning and running your own business: you must lead with the gifts you are given, and the clients will come. Not the other way around. Which means it's time to throw out that ideal client portfolio you've been building the last 9 months. Instead, a successful business means doing the things you love, knowing your business is not someone else's business, but your unique gift to the world. When you come from the heart and do what feels aligned, that is what will launch you into the stratosphere. Put your feet up, grab the notepad, and listen in for the following (and so much more!): 1. When building a business, you should think about the benefits you are providing, not the client avatar you are pursuing. 2. Enough of the masculine hustle. You heard us. Yes, it will take work and tenacity, but when you align with your gifts and open yourself up to share those with the world, it will actually all just flow. Leave the force behind. 3. Seasonality is key. Know that there are certain seasons for certain things to be accomplished. Realize that change and growth never cease, which will allow you to loosen the reins, and find success easily. Find Heidi: @heidibcoaching https://www.heidibcoaching.com/

In our final episode with Dr. Livengood (we can't believe how fast 7 episodes flew by!), we talk about something we are personally obsessed with here on the Artisan team: essential oils (EOs) and the byproduct of that, plant medicine. Essential oils are plants, as you know, but just in a highly concentrated form, and their uses are millions. Literally, oils are a concentrated extraction of plants, which do different things depending on what you need and have been around for a really long time! In today's episode, we talk about aroma vs. therapeutic-grade EOs, carrier oils for dilution, processed vs. organic, and the overall health benefits of EOs. Everything from headaches to muscle soreness to colds to immunity to cleaning your home to shampoo to ... and the list goes on. We cover it all. Bonus! Dr. Livengood offers what is known as a Rain Drop Therapy program in her office, and it's literally the best! A super relaxing treatment, utilizing 8-9 EOs which help the immune system fight off germs, this therapy also causes the muscles to relax and calm, and everything is specific to the spinal column and nervous system (using a reflexology system). How do we allow others to speak to us? Where do we set emotional boundaries? It's a long-standing discussion, the benefits of Eastern Medicine vs. Western Medicine and the beauty of being a naturopathic doctor is that they often blend the best of both worlds, working to ensure patient success on every level. In today's episode, we will be diving deep into the differences and what they could mean for you, depending on your individual and unique needs. Western medicine tends to be more "insurance-based," where the patient is paying to fix a problem (which can be necessary and acute), but it's not necessarily paying to feel your best or investing in your long-term health. Eastern medicine which has been around for thousands of years, primarily stems from Ayurvedic medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine. These include methodologies such as acupuncture, plants, herbs, yoga, and working with your Chi/Prana. Did you know? The world, up until about 120 years ago, utilized only plants for medicine? That's right! It wasn't until a guy named Bayer in Germany distilled down some plants for Aspirin (willow bark, primarily) that we had a revolution in the science of medicine. We are so thrilled to have Lauren Gonzales on the podcast today (who also happens to be neighbors with Rosemary!), as hers is a bright story to come out of the pandemic. A graduate from ASU, Lauren was laid off from her design firm when Covid19 hit, and instead of panicking, she really looked at her life and realized that she enjoyed being able to spend more time with her family, not less, and decided to make some changes. She made the move to strike out on her own, creating her own interior design business and being based in Gilbert, AZ certainly didn't hurt, as the housing market has simply exploded and the need for design, both commercial and residential is at a peak. Grab your ruler, pencil, and tape measure and tune in to hear about the following: 1) How it's okay to not "niche" down and can love multiple sides of your business. 2) How turning a loss into a gain is possible depending on your perspective. 3) How taking a leap into the unknown, but having faith in yourself, can return huge dividends. Our podcast guest today is Misty Cosper who is intent on helping small business owners understand the power of recognizing and harnessing equally, the masculine and feminine qualities that reside in each of us. Integration at its highest form, Misty believes it is completely possible, and in fact, critical, to honor both the masculine (getting shit done, meeting those deadlines, focusing on when you need to get your business moving) and the feminine (knowing when to step back, be soft, flow with the cycles of life), and helps others who really want to blend the hybrid of both. A transformational energy coach AND a financial accountant, Misty works with folks to not only get their finances in good working order (and have it not be so scary) but also to create an abundance mindset, removing blocks and limiting beliefs so each of us can flourish to our highest potential. Tune into this episode if you want to learn more about: 1. What it means to honor both the masculine and feminine in your business. 2.
