This month we celebrate 1 year of podcasting! Over 20 guests shared their time, knowledge, and experiences with us. We learned about vocal distortion, synesthesia, artist development, vocal styles and songwriting to list a few topics covered over the last 12 months. What started out as an Instagram live series, in which I began to challenge myself and start saying YES to my ideas and desires. It has helped me personally transcend a previous version of myself and move forward, bravely into the unknown. THANKS, from the bottom of my heart to every single person who listened in and supported the podcast over the last year. I do not get paid to make this podcast, in fact, I pay to make it. If you have enjoyed what I'm doing, you can continue to support me by buying me a virtual coffee anytime. If money is an issue, don't worry. You can comment, share, and subscribe for free! https://ko-fi.com/rebekahmusicstuff Finally, a MASSIVE thanks to every single individual who gave their time to talk to me and share their knowledge and experiences. I have enjoyed chatting with you all immensely. Very much looking forward to meeting a whole new set of people in the next year. NOTE: I'm making a small change to the pod in September. That is to put out an audio-only version. I love having the video format, but it does take up quite a few hours in total from the time of conception to the last edit and upload. I want to focus on college and every extra hour I have helps. I will still upload the audio to YouTube but you can listen on any of the usual podcast apps also.

Sive first began to delve into songwriting when she was 15 and an old bandmate showed her some songs she had written. She thought to herself “Hmm, maybe I could do that too” and so off she went with a head full of excitement and an old tape recorder. When she finished school she went to Ballyfermot College to study music, but it was only really when she took part in an international bandcamp in Germany that she managed to pluck up the courage to front her own band (mainly because she didn't have a choice). After that she upped sticks to the Netherlands where she was awarded a scholarship and spent some time rehearsing, gigging and recording with some fellow music students.
