It is a pleasure to welcome back my friend, reality TV star, two-time Challenge finalist, and the Ten Management founder Paulie Calafiore to The Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast. Paulie first made his way to Reality TV when he was cast on CBS's Big Brother 18, where he won two HOHs and three Vetos before being evicted on Day 66. He next made his MTV debut on Ex on the Beach USA's inaugural season. After the show, Paulie ventured onto The Challenge: Final Reckoning, where he teamed up with Big Brother rival Natalie Negrotti. Despite being eliminated in the second and third episodes, the duo returned to the game near the season's end, where they ultimately placed third. He returned for War of the Worlds 1 and partnered with Natalie “Ninja” Duran and (for two episodes) Georgia Harrison. Paulie won seven daily challenges but did not make it to the finale. In War of the Worlds 2, he, along with girlfriend Cara Maria Sorbello, Ninja, and series veterans Ashley Mitchell, Kam Williams, and Leroy Garrett, took command of Team USA and won four different daily challenges before gassing out and coming in second place. Four years after War of the Worlds 2, Paulie Calafiore returned to CBS to compete in The Challenge USA: Season 2. Despite reconnecting with allies such as Amanda Garcia, Cory Wharton, and Wes Bergmann and rebuilding bridges with foes including Johnny Bananas, Josh Martinez, and Tori Deal, Paulie was sent home early after he lost to the seven-time Challenge champion in the Fire and Ice arena game. When he is not on Reality TV, Paulie owns Ten Management and is co-captain of The Soccer Tournament team, the Kingdom FC, with his brother – fellow Big Brother legend Cody Calafiore. He also launched the Invite Only! Podcast with Cara Maria and Paulie Calafiore. On the podcast, the duo discusses various topics ranging from relationships and weird internet finds to conversations with guests, such as social media influencer Ashley K Hawaii and fitness icon Shaun T. In this edition of The Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast, Paulie Calafiore spoke about his The Challenge USA 2 experience, coming out as bisexual on the show, and what he is looking for in athletes who want to join him and Cody on the 2024 Kingdom FC team.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/show/jakes-take-with-jacob-elyachar/support.

Hey Fandom! Welcome back for another episode of Challengers Unplugged: Beyond The Edit. Your hosts Rick, Corrina, Tony and Josh are joined this week by a very special guest and someone we have been dying to talk to - Nelson Thomas! We start out with a very short intro because Nelly is PROMPT (0:00 - 3:30). When Nelson joins us we start out by covering his early life such as where he was born/raised, what his childhood was like, what kinds of athletics he was involved with as a child, his struggles as a young kid in LA, moving to Texas, graduating high school and what his first reality show truly was! We cover everything from his AYTO audition to his history as a Challenge fan and how he found himself on this wild show we all love so much. We get Nelson's thoughts on things like the audience helping Challengers in an elimination, what it's like to try and start a career after being on TV, his favorite country he's been to, TMZ running the false story about him, the evolution of his and Cory Wharton's friendship and the start of TYB. Nelson walks us through living in the shelter on Invasions, losing the final by 2 minutes and 22 seconds, why his rivalries tend to end so quickly, what really happened with Fessy, how things went down with Cory and Shane on Invasions and how he feels finals have changed over the years. We also cover some beyond The Challenge moments such as him volunteering to go into elimination to save Cory on Total Madness, his moment with TJ Lavin in the Spies Lies and Allies final and how he feels about the major expansion of The Challenge. Nelson talks to us about what a rookie is on The Challenge, how he felt about Amber Borzotra's status in the game, why he chose Nurys as his ROD partner, how him and Ashley Mitchell ended up as a kind-of-sort-of thing on Spies Lies and Allies and even shares what was really going on during World Championship and how he felt about being called to be a Legend. Nelson also discusses random topics with us such as reuniting with Kailah after their previous encounter, "Nelsonisms", how social media ruins lives and of course we discuss his recovery from his recent car accident. Nelson shares so much of his story with us and allowed himself to be open and vulnerable with him. We could never properly thank him for that. Hey Fandom! Welcome back for another episode of Challenge Trash Talk Roundtable with your hosts Rick, Corrina, Tony, Josh and Cory! Yup, that's right we've got a full house tonight and it was for a very special reason! We all got together to finalize an official Challenge Fandom Podcast Mount Rushmore list for men and women! We kick off the episode by catching up as Rick tells us his heroic story. Then we break into what our plans are for formatting this episode, how we are missing out on Hogwarts Legacy and whether or not we'd ever pay for our IG to be verified (0:00 - 16:35). Then we break into the women's Mount Rushmore first. We decided to present a list of 12 names and then debate them down until we have a final 4 at which point we will number them and finalize our team's Mount Rushmore. For the women we discuss the following people: Susie Meister, Emily Schromm, Jodi Weatherton, Jonna Mannion, Tori Deal, Paula Meronek, Veronica Portillo, Ashley Mitchell, Sarah Rice, Evelyn Smith, Laurel Stucky and Cara Maria Sorbello (16:35 - 1:46:00). Finally we break into the Men's Mount Rushmore which seemed to be much easier to agree on but still provided a lot of interesting debates and is sure to upset some of the fans (sorry). The men that we discussed are: Tyler Duckworth, Brad Fiorenza, Turbo Camkiran, Mark Long, Derrick Kosinski, Landon Leuck, Darrell Taylor, Wes Bergmann, Jordan Wiseley, Johnny 'Bananas' Devenanzio, and Chris 'CT' Tamburello (1:46:00 - END). We really hope you all enjoy this debate and remember, if you'd like to discuss your thoughts on our final list our IG inbox is always open! However, if you're upset and want a fight, make sure you message the host that upset you the most directly LOL! She's brought her heart, passion, and determination to tackle the tough stuff for this conversation and we're so thankful for it. Ashley is a birth mom, bio mom, wife, advocate, and so much more. Her story brings light to the parts of adoption that make us uncomfortable, and that's precisely why we invited her to be on the show.  Take in her words, let this conversation settle in your soul, and allow it to challenge your thinking and what it means for you in your own foster or adoption journey. There is a lot of tough stuff to tackle, but Ashley takes the high-level complexities and brings it to a place where we can sit in the muck together with hope for the future and the children who we love so much.Episode Resources:Post-placement care for birth moms is essential, yet not universally accessible. It is a thrill to welcome Clocked Podcast hosts Paige and Dylan to The Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast. Paige is the Queen of Challenge TikTok, and her podcast Most Likely Two recaps several top Reality TV shows such as The Amazing Race, Survivor, Vanderpump Rules, and of course, The Challenge. She has also welcomed several cast members to her platform for long-form interviews. Cara Maria Sorbello, Emily Schromm, Jay Starrett, Lolo Jones, Morgan Willett, and Paulie Calafiore are some of her notable interviews, and fan-favorite champion Ashley Mitchell just helped Paige celebrate her 100th milestone interview. Charleston, South Carolina native Dylan Deckard hosts Chillin' with Dylan Podcast. He specializes in recapping Reality TV shows such as The Bachelor and has interviewed many Reality TV veterans, including Big Brother houseguests Christian Birkenberger, Cliff Hogg III, Jessica Milagros, and Nicole Anthony, The Circle's Shubham Goel, and The Traitors USA's Rachel Rilley Villegas. He has also welcomed a plethora of The Challenge cast members that range from OGs such as Jon Brennan and Tina Bridges to champions Jenny West, Jonna Mannion, Wes Bergmann, and Yes Duffy. On January 29, 2022, Paige and Dylan met and developed an incredible friendship, and they collaborated on countless recaps of The Challenge. Paige and Dylan are venturing out of Reality TV and into their latest venture: Clocked the Podcast. These two unlikely yet inevitable best friends will talk about addiction, family, fitness, mental health, and travel. In this edition of The Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast, Paige and Dylan spoke about their favorite interviews and previewed Clocked the Podcast. I also asked them for their take on my dream cast for The Challenge: Season 40.

I am so happy that Jay Starrett returned to The Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast. Reality TV fans first met Jay when he appeared on Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X. His masterminding of Michaela Bradshaw's blind slide elimination, winning two individual immunity challenges, and bonding with eventual winner Adam Klein made him a fan favorite. While he placed sixth, Jay went to the MTV universe and appeared on Ex on the Beach: Season Two alongside his ex-Morgan Willett. Eventually, the former Survivor castaway made his way to the long-running Reality TV competition The Challenge. In his debut season of The Challenge: Total Madness, Jay Starrett made a splash when he won two elimination challenges, including taking out show icon Chris "C.T." Tamburello. Unfortunately, Jay's season was cut short when he was medically disqualified in an elimination against Rogan O'Connor. Jay returned in The Challenge: Double Agents, where he was partnered with show legend Teresa Jones. The pair won a mini-final and masterminded the elimination of champion Ashley Mitchell. That move put a target on their back, and eventually, Leroy Garrett sent him home. After taking a season off, Jay returned to The Challenge: Rides or Dies. He partnered with Survivor champion Michele Fitzgerald and together, the duo won two daily challenges and used their power to mastermind the elimination of show legend Laurel Stucky. Unfortunately, the pair were eliminated by the powerful rookie team Horacio and Olivia. Jay Starrett runs the Stay Loco brand outside of the reality TV world. Stay Loco represents "You being you." He encourages his followers to believe in themselves, motivate, and inspire people. He also has dove into the music world with several songs, including "Stone Cold," featuring The Challenge: Double Agents competitors Lio Rush and Joseph Allen. In this edition of The Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast, Jay Starrett talked about how he would have welcomed the new Survivor US newcomers (Michele, Michaela, and Island of the Idols champion Tommy Sheehan) into the fold if he was on The Challenge: Spies, Lies & Allies and spoke about partnering with Michele on The Challenge: Rides or Dies. Plus, Jay talked about expanding the Stay Loco brand and music ventures.

Today, Bridget chats with Ashley Mitchell- Wellness Professional and DEI Consultant. Ashley's entire life has revolved around movement and exercise. She was raised by a professional boxer and marathon runner and was very active when she was growing up. Now, she inspires and leads others to move as a fitness instructor. Movement has also helped Ashley process trauma and grief in her own life. This passion led her to found a non-profit to bring movement as a form of processing and healing for kids experiencing trauma or the stresses of daily life. Yet Ashley also struggled with the complicated expectations from the world of physical fitness after the birth of her first son. Ashley has worked to give herself grace and not fall prey to the bounce back culture 6 months postpartum from the birth of her son. Links Referenced in the Episode:NeighborSchools Blog- Don't have time to listen? Adoption is very emotional. For everyone. The adoptive parents are nervous, anxious, longing to love, and full of hope and even faith. But what about the birth mother? This young woman will become a new mother, with all that that entails physically and emotionally. And will then, in what is usually a very short time, hand her baby over to strangers to raise and call their own. Ashley Mitchell (bigtoughgirl.com) became a birth mother at age 26. In this episode, Bob & Diane visit with her about what she was feeling then, and continues to feel now, as a wife and mother of two, and a birth mother of one.
