In our last show before we take a break for summer 2025, we chat about the final book in the M Is for Mama trilogy: You Bet Your Stretch Marks. I reveal where the title came from, why it's countercultural to the common narrative about “worth it” in motherhood and flesh out what it means to have a “tiger-striped soul.”Be sure to pre-order You Bet Your Stretch Marks (link below) for all the stories, Scripture, and lessons learned. Hope with God... with Andrew and Wendy Palau

The Bible tells us of a day when Jesus will come back to reign on the earth. It says… The last enemy to be destroyed is death. But we don't have to wait until that day to experience Jesus' victory. If you decide to give your life to Jesus, He will trade it in for a new, revitalized life filled with His Holy Spirit. Do you yearn for that deep, lasting peace? Well, you can have it.
Why not ask Him for it today? Pray with me… Jesus, I give my old life to you. All of my wrong, all of my sin, all of my destructive behavior and words and actions. I'm sorry. Wash me clean— let my old self die away and be resurrected to new life. Will you make me a new creation? I choose this day to follow You, Jesus, as the Lord of my life. Amen. Always remember there is hope with God. I'm Andrew Palau. Bible Reference: 1 Corinthians 15:26 radio.hopewithgod.com

Everyone's Freaking Out About Tariffs—But Here's the Side No One Talks About Let's be real—every headline out there is yelling about doom and gloom: “Trade war! Economic collapse! Inflation!” But what if there's another side? In this episode, we zoom way out and unpack the other perspective. The one you're not hearing. The one that doesn't sell fear, but maybe offers… a little bit of hope? We get into: What tariffs actually are (yes, we break it down plain and simple) Why reciprocal tariffs aren't necessarily “bullying” The surprising benefits most media outlets are ignoring How this could affect YOU: jobs, taxes, prices, and your kids' future And yes… we even touch on the real reason so many Americans are uncomfortable right now. This isn't about politics. This is about understanding the full picture—and getting equipped to respond with wisdom, peace, and practical steps. Resources Mentioned

There are things that we face that only God can fix, only He can do, and we have absolutely NO power or control over. But out of our desperate prayers, our aggressive prayers, God answers. He does not always answer instantaneously. He can, but what is more important to Him is getting a deeper relationship with you. Our bold prayers often open the door for God to engage the process of answering our prayers. This episode is SO FIRE! This is one of those lovingly slaps-you-in-the-face, stands-you-back-up, shakes you because “you gotta understand how much I love you” and sends you back into the game with a smack on the back kind of episode!    Monologue: Autumn shares a moment she enjoyed in the car with her family when her oldest daughter, Grace, was in town for spring break.     Message: Autumn reminds believers that sometimes, God's answer to prayer is at the end of a process He wants to take us through.   Testimony: A listener shares how God gave them the words to say after 25 years to completely heal a relationship and remains healed.   Bible References: 2 Chronicles 20:1-19 Ephesians 6   Links from the show BOOKS: www.autumnmiles.com/resources SPEAKING: www.autumnmiles.com/speaking MERCH: autumnmiles.square.site   Sponsors: NuWell Online Christian Counseling https://nuwellonline.com/ Purpose Jewelry https://www.purposejewelry.org/ PROMO CODE: AUTUMN2024   If you have a suggestion for the ministry, a question for Autumn, a testimony to share, or other inquiry for the Autumn Miles Ministries, click here and fill out the form, or send us an email at hello@autumnmiles.com    Join us on social media! After unlearning bad theology and what isn't true about God or prayer, we've got to learn the truth! Jesus RARELY told those who asked for healing or help no because of their faith. When the kings of Israel and Judah realized their mistake, they sought the prophet of God Elisha. Even though they did not consult the Lord first, God still delivered them from their problem through Elisha. If you are facing a panicky situation today, and maybe you knew it was a bad idea from the start, or you consulted other things instead of God, God's hand is not too short to deliver you. The kings were required to perform an act of manual labor as a sign of trust and faith in the Lord. What is that thing God is asking you to do today as a test to show you trust Him to deliver you?   Monologue: Autumn reflects on a moment with her youngest daughter and her question, “Do you like it, Mom? Do you like what I made for you?”    Message: Autumn ignites believers to rely on the Lord's deliverance even before they face uncertain times.    Testimony: Autumn shares a testimony from one of the members of the AMM team.     Bible References: 2 Kings 3   Links from the show BOOKS: www.autumnmiles.com/resources SPEAKING: www.autumnmiles.com/speaking MERCH: autumnmiles.square.site   Sponsor: NuWell Online Christian Counseling https://nuwellonline.com/   If you have a suggestion for the ministry, a question for Autumn, a testimony to share, or other inquiry for the Autumn Miles Ministries, click here and fill out the form, or send us an email at hello@autumnmiles.com    Join us on social media! On this election day, Will You "Stand in the Gap" for Our Country to Participate in and Lead a Great Awakening and Spiritual Renewal in America? MESSAGE SUMMARY: On July 4, 1776, the signers of the Declaration of Independence began a revolution which started the United States of America. The Revolution was rooted in the belief that all people, even the King and governmental leaders, are subject to the rule of God and not above the law and; and everyone is endowed by God, our Creator, with certain inalienable rights. Many people have tried to deny that America's founders created a country which wove together the idea of self-governance with Christian principles. Now, it appears, the focus is to get rid of things relating America to Christianity, the Bible, or anything that smacks of God – and, pretty much these efforts to remove God's influence from the public square, appear to be succeeding. We need to hear, in Today's sermon, what our founders said regarding America's Christian base. However, not long after the enactment of the Constitution in the late 1700s, morality and church attendance declined drastically into a Spiritual Depression. The answer became the nationwide implementation of "Concerts of Prayer", across all Christian denominations, that led to an American Spiritual Awakening. Today, through our actions, laws, and cultural revisions of our founding Christian principles, we have told God that we don't want Him around. Therefore, God has obliged us; and He has done what He said He would do -- God is withdrawing His presence and His protection and holding back His divine wisdom, which has guided us for so many years. God is leaving us to reap the consequences of our focus away from Him and without Him. The Lord Said through Ezekiel: "I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found none.". We must have a Spiritual Awakening, in our country, beginning today!  Will You "Stand in the Gap"? TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, Sabbath rest is truly an unbelievable gift! Thank you that there is nothing I can do to earn your love; it comes without any strings attached. As I close my eyes for these few minutes before you, all I can say is, thank you! In Jesus' name, amen. Scazzero, Peter. Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Day by Day (p. 133). Zondervan. Kindle Edition. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, I affirm that because of what God has done for me in His Son, Jesus, I AM RIGHTEOUS IN GOD'S EYES. God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5:21 SCRIPTURE REFERENCE (ESV): Ezekiel 22:30; Daniel 4:28-32; Matthew 22:19-21; Isaiah 29:8-21; (Click the Bible References, in blue, below to read the full Bible text for these Scripture References.). If you've ever heard of the doctrine of election or the five points of Calvinism, you may feel like you have more questions than answers about what those and many other tenets of Reformed theology mean.  Since it's Reformation Month—when Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses to the door of a Catholic church—I thought it would be the perfect time to chat all things Reformed with my pastor, Rick Witmer, whom I call “Wit.” In this episode, he's giving us background and answering some of your most pressing questions that you always submit on WWKW anytime I talk about attending a reformed church.  I am so grateful for Wit's wisdom, clear articulation, knowledge of church history, biblical prowess, and kindness.  I know, no matter what your theological background, you'll enjoy the conversational way he breaks down the essential beliefs of the Reformed movement with clarity and compassion.  Stay tuned for Part 2 next week! Hope with God... with Andrew and Wendy Palau

What motivates you to share Jesus in your daily life? For me, one precious truth that motivates me to share the Gospel is this: We don't grieve as those who have no hope. Knowing Jesus means that there is always hope, no matter the circumstances of life, no matter how painful the situation. And I want everyone to have this hope! When someone gives their life to Jesus, their troubles are still there. The idea that our problems are immediately solved when we start following God is a fantasy. God does not promise us an easy life! But one thing is true. When Christ lives in us through His Spirit, we are never alone again, and we are never without hope. Always remember, there is hope with God. Bible Reference: 1 Thessalonians 4:13 radio.hopewithgod.com Find out more at https://hopewithgod.pinecast.co This podcast is powered by Pinecast.

These words were spoken long ago by the Apostle, Paul, For I decided that while I was with you I would forget everything except Jesus Christ, the one who was crucified. Paul realized that he didn't need fancy words, or pre-planned arguments from his years of training in order to show people the way to Jesus. Instead, he chose to use simple words and stay focused on the cross of Jesus Christ. Truly, Jesus and the sacrifice He made on the cross are enough. Remember the simplicity of the Gospel message: Jesus came for all of us, to set us free from sin and to set us free from death. He lived a sinless life, and absorbed the punishment that brought us back into the right relationship with God that we were made for. The Gospel is simple but it is powerful. Let it flow through your life and out of your mouth. Remember, there is always hope with God. Has God ever given you something that is so hard to wrap your mind around? You're looking at something God has told you, and you're saying, “I have no idea how to make sense of this! It's weird, it feels icky, and I don't understand it.” You have no idea what to do with it. Jesus told his disciples one of the weirdest things to understand in John 6, which led them to have to decide if they stay with Jesus or withdraw from him. Jesus had already showed them his miracles before he told them something that shocked them. When God gives us a hard saying, what do you do?   Monologue: Autumn welcomes fall with an incredible fishing story about her son, Moses.  Message: Autumn encourages believers to trust God even when He has said something that makes no sense. Hope with God... with Andrew and Wendy Palau

The Bible tells us that God is rich in mercy. Have you heard this before? How do you see God? Do you believe that God is compassionate and merciful? Mercy doesn't mean that God is weak or that God ignores or overlooks what's wrong in the world or in us. He alone has the power and authority to deal with sin and injustice. God's mercy means that He has taken the penalty and pain of all that's wrong with the world on Himself when He died on the cross. Do you believe this? You need mercy. I need mercy. And God offers it to us, to you. It's a free gift. Will you take it today? It's for you. Always remember, there is hope with God. Bible Reference: "God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, 5 that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. Hope with God... with Andrew and Wendy Palau

Have you ever thought of yourself as a minister or a priest? Listen to this passage from 1 Peter. This is how Peter describes God followers… You are royal priests, a holy nation, God's very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. When Jesus gave His life for the sins of all mankind, He declared that all who believe in Him are now His royal priests. What does that mean? It means we have the authority to show others the goodness of God. We are filled with His Holy Spirit, we are made new and made clean, and there is no separation between us and God because of Jesus. As a believer, you have full authority to stand in the presence of God and share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Why not do it today? Always remember, there is hope with God. This is Andrew Palau. Five Needs of Fathers MESSAGE SUMMARY: Introduction -- Father's, we need to understand God's expectations of Fathers. In Ephesians 6:4, Paul defines God's expectations of fathers: “Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.". Also, Proverbs 22:6 presents what expectations we might have if fathers adhere to God's expectations: “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.". Dads are to bring up their children in "the way they should go" (their calling). Discipline, wisely administered by fathers, is an important attribute and need for fathers, as the author of Hebrews tells us in Hebrews 12:9-11: “. . . we have had earthly fathers who disciplined us and we respected them. Shall we not much more be subject to the Father of spirits and live? For they disciplined us for a short time as it seemed best to them, but he disciplines us for our good, that we may share his holiness. For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.”. Today's Message -- The Five Needs of Fathers: 1) Companionship – As God said in Genesis 2:18, the majority of men were made not to be alone; 2) Respect – honor, appreciation, respect, as Paul tells us in Ephesians 5:33: “However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband."; 3) Know How to Face Temptation -- when we are tempted (temptation is not a sin), God will provide us a way out of succumbing to the temptation, 1 Corinthians 10:13; 4) Not to Be Foolish -- Proverbs 13:20; and 5) and Remember that God, the Father, Expects You to Be a Father -- Ephesians 6:4 and Proverbs 22:6, tells us that fathers are to train their children so that their children are raised: “in the way he should go' and in a way that meets God's expectations of both the father and the child. Men are motivated when they know they will be held accountable, and God is holding us accountable for how we fathers raise our children. There is a void of faithful men and fathers today; therefore, fathers', should ask God to help you to be faithful as a father. Fathers should hope that, when we are judged by God, that He tells us: “Well done good and faithful servant!”. “God, how many more {hours, days, and years} do I have, as a father, to meet your expectations and to receive the joys of being a father”.   TODAY'S PRAYER: Keeping the Sabbath, Lord, will require a lot of changes in the way I am living life. Teach me, Lord, how to take the next step with this in a way that fits my unique personality and situation. Help me to trust you with all that will remain unfinished and to enjoy my humble place in your very large world. In Jesus' name, amen. Scazzero, Peter. Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Day by Day (p. 129). Zondervan. Kindle Edition. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, I affirm that because of what God has done for me in His Son, Jesus, I AM FORGIVEN. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 SCRIPTURE REFERENCE (ESV): Ephesians 6:4; Proverbs 22:6; Genesis 2:18; Proverbs 19:22; Ephesians 5:33; 1 Corinthians 10:13; Proverbs 13:20; Hebrews 12:9-11;  (Click the Bible References, in blue, below to read the full Bible text for these Scripture References.). Hope with God... with Andrew and Wendy Palau

How should you pray? Is there a certain place you should go or specific words you should use? There's a verse in the Bible that brings clarity to these questions. It says… Pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Pray without ceasing… That means that the place to pray is… wherever you are! And the best time to pray is…any time! And the best posture is… any posture. God wants you to talk with Him through prayer every day, at any time, anywhere. Talk to God just like He is your best friend. Because He is! His presence is with you always. Whether you're at church or home. You can have direct access to God in prayer. This is Wendy Palau. Hope with God... with Andrew and Wendy Palau

When you think about sharing Jesus with your friends or family, what feelings come up? Anxiety? Awkwardness? Fear of not knowing what to say? We tend to overthink it, don't we? But, sharing the Good News of Jesus does not have to be complicated. The apostle Paul once said in a letter to the Corinthian church, I decided that while I was with you I would forget everything except Jesus Christ, the one who was crucified. That's what people need to know that Jesus loves them—so much so that He was willing to come to the earth and die on a cross. And He did it willingly, for the sake of love. In order to close the distance caused by sin, and bring them into relationship with Himself. When you consider sharing the Gospel, why don't you resolve to forget everything except this message: Jesus loves you so much that He died in order to spend forever with you. Share the simple Gospel today. Bible Reference: 1 Corinthians 2:2 radio.hopewithgod.com

The story of David and Goliath is super well known, but have you considered how David did not suddenly have the courage or even the favor of the people and his own when he sought to face Goliath? David knew the crown was coming for him, and yet, he remained consistent with his mundane, day-to-day lifestyle of faithfulness. David EASILY could have been prideful when he showed up with a Lunchable for the army of Israel and his brothers, but David's courage was a direct result of his faithfulness to his relationship with the Lord.    Monologue: Autumn reminisces on nostalgic moments in her daughter Grace's life as she prepares to graduate in just a few days. Message: Autumn encourages believers in their day-to-day systems of faithfulness through a different lens of the story of David and Goliath. Question: “What does it mean in the Bible when it says God will restore the years the locusts have eaten?” Praise Report: A listener shares how a recent episode gave her confirmation that God told her that she had not missed an opportunity she thought she missed.    Bible References: 1 Samuel 16:6-9, 17:1-54, 18:5-7   Links from the show BOOKS: www.autumnmiles.com/resources SPEAKING: www.autumnmiles.com/speaking MERCH: autumnmiles.square.site   If you have a question for Autumn, testimony to share, or other inquiry for the Autumn Miles Ministries, click here and fill out the form, or send us an email at hello@autumnmiles.com    Join us on social media! Be Strong & Courageous MESSAGE SUMMARY: Be Strong & Courageous (Commencement -- Reformed Episcopal Seminary; Oreland, PA) We have been equipped, as God told Jeremiah in Jeremiah 29:11-12, for God's purposes in our lives: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.". In Joshua 1:9, God commands us to be strong and courageous because He is with us. Also, God gave Joshua truths that would confirm God's support in His command of Joshua: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”. Often the Lord has called or commanded us to do something in His service, but tough decisions for us arise for us when we are not fully committed to obey God; and we fall into disobedience. When we obey God's commands, He steps into lives with support for us to achieve His command. Also, God instructed Joshua, in Joshua 1:6, to be “strong and courageous”: “Be strong and courageous, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land that I swore to their fathers to give them.". We must be “strong and courageous” to do the will of God when we are called. Additionally, God commanded Joshua to be committed to the Word of God. Courage is acting and speaking even though you are afraid. If you follow God's call and seek His will to live and act in His Word, there is no reason to be overcome by fear because “your God is with you wherever you go”. After God's grace through Jesus, God is in us through His gift to us of the Holy Spirit. You get strong by exercising the “muscles” of your faith and commitment to God's will and His word – often pushing your “commitment to God” beyond levels you thought possible. Spiritual strength comes from having God with you and in you. 2 Corinthians 5:21 SCRIPTURE REFERENCE (ESV): Jeremiah 29:11-12; Joshua 1:9; Joshua 1:6; Joshua 1:7; James 1:22; Hebrews 10:23; Joshua 1:8: 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Matthew 28:16-20. Hope with God... with Andrew and Wendy Palau

There is a house under construction in my neighborhood. The builders started by pouring a solid, level foundation. They then add the sturdy bones of the house. Without that solid foundation and the beams and joists, the whole thing would collapse. The Bible describes Jesus in a similar role. Jesus became the basis of our salvation, the foundation of our faith. He sacrificed Himself, making a way for us to be right with God, and bringing us into relationship with Him. Because of this, Jesus has become the cornerstone of the house He is building, and the Bible tells us we are living stones in that structure. You are joined in Christ to a huge structure of believers all over the world. This is His Church. What an honor to be a stone in that building! Bible Reference: 1 Peter 2:6 radio.hopewithgod.com

David after his anointing was sought after by King Saul because of his talent and his character. Because of God's favor on David, Saul's people took recognition of him through his talents and his abilities. When God places His favor on you after your faithfulness to steward well what He has given you, what skills and talents will you have honed in and perfected for God to use to elevate you among others? The work you do now, the talents you perfect and the skills you hone, God will use them to give you recognition among men after He places His favor upon you.    Monologue: Autumn chronicles the hectic week before Mother's Day and getting her mom's card to her on time.    Message: Autumn follows last week's topic of gaining the favor of God with gaining the faithfulness of others. GOD GIVES EASY instructions for victory! The instructions are often easy, but the action required on our part is hard! On Elisha's deathbed, the king of Israel, Joash, realized he had one opportunity left to ask the power of God to give him victory. The passion Joash had for the victory he wanted showed in the way he obeyed the instruction from the prophet of God. If you don't put in your entire passion towards the victory you want, you will get the same result. BUT, if you invest everything you've got into it, the power of God is ready to give you that victory, step by step.   Monologue: Autumn encourages listeners who are married to invest in her marriage and shares how she and Eddie invested in their marriage over the weekend.   Message: Autumn prompts believers to invest everything they have to the victory they want to receive from the Lord as He gives His easy instructions.  Question: “How do I approach a difficult conversation with a friend?” Praise Report: A listener shares the way God spoke to her to rest in her business.   Bible References: 2 Kings 13:14-25, 2:9-12   Links from the show BOOKS: www.autumnmiles.com/resources SPEAKING: www.autumnmiles.com/speaking MERCH: autumnmiles.square.site   If you have a question for Autumn, testimony to share, or other inquiry for the Autumn Miles Ministries, click here and fill out the form, or send us an email at hello@autumnmiles.com    Join us on social media! You hear this phrase said all the time, “Won't He do it?” But you only hear it said from people whom God has done something for. You hear it when your friend just got married after waiting for YEARS for God to bring her a husband. You hear it when your sister announces a long-awaited pregnancy after years of infertility. You hear it when another friend pays off their last bit of debt that by God's grace and mercy they were able to get out of. This is a declarative statement that assumes it's already done EVEN BEFORE it happens. Won't He do it? When you have a testimony, you declare to those you share it with that EVEN BEFORE He has done it for them, He has done it for you, because won't He do it?    Monologue: Autumn gives an update about her first week of classes.  Message: Autumn unpacks 2 Kings 7 when the lepers decidedly shared with the king the miracle God had done to end a famine across the land.  Question: “Do you think it's possible to start fresh at a church that knows your history?” Praise Report: A listener shares how she was saved by God from homelessness and the heavy influence of substances.   What Are My Thoughts On: Are skinny jeans in style or out of style?   Bible References: 2 Kings 7:7-16 Exodus 1   Links from the show BOOKS: www.autumnmiles.com/resources SPEAKING: www.autumnmiles.com/speaking MERCH: autumnmiles.square.site   If you have a question for Autumn, testimony to share, or other inquiry for the Autumn Miles Ministries, click here and fill out the form, or send us an email at hello@autumnmiles.com    Join us on social media! All these other people you see get their prayers answered, from finding their spouses, having babies, getting that job, or something else, and you ask yourself, “What do they have that I don't that they got their prayers answered, but I haven't gotten mine?” You're tired and you're exhausted from waiting and waiting and waiting. In 2 Kings 6 through 7, the king of Samaria boldly asks with bitterness, “Why should I wait for the Lord any longer” to end a famine devastating the land. If you find yourself asking the same question, “Why should I wait for the Lord any longer,” this episode deep dives into answering this exact question for believers today.    Monologue: Autumn announces a new chapter in her life and how excited she is about it. Message: Autumn pulls wisdom from 2 Kings 6 through 7 and what happens when someone asks the bold question, “Why should I wait for the Lord any longer?” Question: “I need someone to interpret a sign that I asked for God to show me. You have seen God work for others, their marriages, their children, their finances. You've seen God move in so many areas, you've seen Him do all kinds of miracles for everyone else, and you love to see Him do it. But in your quiet time, in the place where no one else hears you, where no one is looking or peeking over, you ask, “What about me? When will that miracle that I need to happen happen to me?” You feel selfish for thinking it, but it's still how you feel. “When, God? What about me?” The lepers in 2 Kings 6 had a mindset we should follow: “let's get up from sitting here and find what is out there for us.” God orchestrated an entire army to flee from the sound of chariots, leaving behind everything for the lepers to find. All of it was there for them to find. They just had to get up and go find it.    Monologue: Autumn describes a precious moment of quality time during her kids' winter break with one of her sons. Last week, we talked about the view of motherhood that posits that the only way to be “real” is to expose the hard parts of being a mom and name them one-by-one. This week, we talk about how motherhood, far from stripping us of our true selves or primary identity, can be a wonderful avenue for helping us exercise our God-given talents + abilities in ways that honor Him, serve our families, and bring us great fulfillment as well.  I share examples from my own journey as a mother, but as always, the goal is never to do things “Abbie-style” (or insert any other name) but instead to ground everything we do in the Word of God and His principles for life that will never change or lead us astray.
