Este modelo, desarrollado por BMW Motorsport, es una referencia en la categoría GT4 y representa un significativo avance para los pilotos, quienes han competido las dos últimas temporadas con un BMW 240i Racing. Desde el punto de vista técnico, el M4 GT4 cuenta con un motor de seis cilindros en línea y dos turbocompresores que entrega 431 CV, acoplado a una caja de cambios automática de siete marchas con accionamiento secuencial. La temporada comienza este fin de semana La primera prueba del campeonato, que se podrá ver en DAZN, se llevará a cabo los próximos 25 y 26 de mayo en el circuito de Jerez. Esta es la primera de cinco citas del Iberian Supercars Endurance, que también visitará Valencia, Portimão, Jarama y Estoril. Probamos el BMW XM que es el primer BMW M eléctrico y que anticipa un montón de novedades en esta línea de la marca. Y es que BMW M en 2022 ha vendido 177.257 unidades vendidas en el mundo y 1.303 sólo en España. Además donde más crece es en EEUU, Gran Bretaña y Alemania. La electrificación va a ir llegando paulatinamente a BMW M con vehículos PHEV y cien por cien eléctricos. Una de las novedades es que sobre las base de un BMW M4 están haciendo pruebas para tener un eléctrico puro con cuatro motores. En 2024 llegarán a Le Mans 25 años después de la victoria de la marca con el V12 LMR con el BMW M Hybrid V8. El BMW XM es el primer M después del M1 que no tiene un equivalente en BMW es puramente un coche M Se fabrica en la planta más grande de BMW en el mundo que está en EEUU en Spartanburg. Un coche muy enfocado a EEUU, China y Oriente Medio. El diseño no deja indiferente a nadie. Empezando por unos brutales riñones retroiluminados con diferentes acabados en dorado, negro… Las ópticas son las más estrechas que nunca han fabricado y un capó muy nervado y agresivo. Las llantas van desde las 21 a las 23 pulgadas. Los escapes son con salida vertical. El interior va todo orientado al conductor con el curve display de más de 20 pulgadas. El interior va tapizado con un cuero vintage y un techo con formas hexagonales en tres dimensiones. Llama la atención que en la consola central está lleno de botones para poder configurar un montón de características. Además tiene dos botones en el volante M1 y M2 El nuevo BMW XM tiene una potencia total de 653 cv y 800 Nm de par gracias a un propulsor de combustión con configuración V8 de 4.4 litros de cubicaje y que incorpora además un motor eléctrico de 197 cv. La transmisión está encomendada a una caja de cambios Steptronic de 8 marchas. La energía de la parte eléctrica la soluciona con una batería es de 25,7 KWh de capacidad. Los dos motores tienen un apoyo de sonido desarrollando por Hans Zimmer. Los modos de conducción van asociados al modo M Hybrid según las necesidades de autonomía que tengamos para el modo eléctrico. La tracción es permanente a las cuatro ruedas denominada M xDrive. El sistema de frenado está sobredimensionado para parar sus 2600 kg El primer M con dirección activa integral porque las ruedas traseras giran. Llevan la suspensión adaptativa profesional con gestión electrónica de los amortiguadores. Wieder musste ein Team die Nacht zum Tag machen. Walkenhorst Motorsport hat über Nacht jenen BMW M4 wieder aufgebaut, in dem Christian Krognes im Topqualifying am Hatzenbach einen bösen Abflug hatte. Teamchef Henry Walkenhorst berichtet im Gespräch mit PITWALK-Chef Norbert Ockenga, wie die Mechaniker als Gastarbeiter in der Werkstatt eines anderen Teams unterkamen und wie der Kraftakt über Nacht gelungen ist. Dazu erläutert Michael Stams, der Senior Manager Customer Account bei Bosch Motorsport, warum gerade der Langstreckensport in letzter Zeit einen solchen Boom erlebt, welche Bedeutung Endurance-Rennen haben und wie sich die einzelnen 24-Stundenklassiker von Le Mans, Daytona, Spa und am Nürburgring unterscheiden. BMW quiere estar en competición porque es la marca del disfrute de conducción. Con dos atributos que siempre van de la mano de BMW que es innovación y tecnología. Y estos dos atributos están muy bien representados en las carreras. La historia de la competición en la marca alemana está muy ligada al BMW 3.0 CSL que nació en 1972 como un coche exitoso en competición que se adaptó a la calle. En 1999 BMW ganó en Le Mans y ahora vuelve a tratar de reeditar esta victoria en la categoría reina. Estará en el WEC completo y en el IMSA. Uno de estos coches ya ha sido segundo en las 12 horas de Sebring. Estar en el IMSA y en el WEC cuadra en BMW porque junta velocidad con resistencia y todo junto con el desarrollo de competición porque el BMW M Hybrid V8 que corre estos campeonatos es híbrido. En Le Mans la marca llegará en 2024. Nunca había habido un equipo oficial de BMW España y creen que el CER es el campeonato ideal. No había BMW en la parrilla hasta ahora. El BMW M2 es el coche de menor mantenimiento de la parrilla con un precio de adquisición similar al resto y con detalles como tener el aire acondicionado. Los GT4 de BMW están muy cotizados porque hay más demanda que oferta. El año pasado corría con el 81 porque es el año de nacimiento de BMW M España. El año pasado corriendo las Winter Series y el CER. Fueron subcampeones de las Winter Series y campeones de España en el CER. Ahora en 2023 en el CER ya habrá 6 BMW en las carreras. Ahora en 2023 se da el salto a la categoría GT4 CON EL M4. El coche es uno de las primeras 100 unidades que se han entregado. Se van a fabricar unas 50 más. Es la segunda generación del M4 GT4. Rendimiento excelente, coche fiable, coche fácil de mantenimiento y de costes contenidos fueron las premisas a la hora de fabricarlos. Tiene elementos de su hermano mayor el M4 GT3. En el modelo se trata de ejemplificar la estrategia de sostenibilidad del grupo y es que el coche está fabricado con una gran cantidad de componentes ligeros. Todo para reducir costes a través de la ligereza y así ahorrar materiales plásticos y reducir costes. Además este material tiene un 250% más de capacidad de absorber vibraciones, Además tiene muchos elementos fabricados a base de fibras naturales como el lino. Y con eso se reducen plásticos también y se reducen las emisiones de CO2. Un material que, por otra parte, es más fácilmente moldeable. La base del motor es la del M4 de serie con motor de 6 cilindros en línea de tres litros y 550 caballos y caja secuencial ZF7 (la de serie sin la última marcha). Es un coche espectacular de 4,8 metros de largo y 2,09 de ancho. La suspensión es desarrollada para este modelo por KW. Con frenos de AP Racing de 6 y 4 pistones y discos delanteros de 390mm. Carrocería con arco de seguridad tubular con asistentes de conducción con 10 modos configurables, calefacción en el parabrisas, aire acondicionado, cuadro digital, asientos Recaro. Es el coche más nuevo de la categoría GT4 actual. La marca ofrece a los dueños de los M4 GT4 un soporte técnico prácticamente de 24 horas, suministro de piezas de competición con el mismo sistema que los vehículos de calle y un portal de clientes donde cada propietario puede tener el historial del coche, libros mantenimiento, revisiones, incidencias, avisos… El programa BMW Sports Trophy donde la marca premia a los pilotos que corren con sus coches y queda entre los 10 primeros en cualquier campeonato del mundo. Hace un ranking donde los 25 primeros se llevan un premio de los 350.000 euros que reparte. En Motorsport tienen un gama que en acceso es el BMW M2 CS Racing, luego el M4 GT4 y por encima el M4 GT3 (590cv) y en la cúspide están los prototipos como el M Hybrid V8 que correrá en Le Mans. El Campeonato de España de GT es donde van a correr en Navarra, Portimao, Motorland Aragón, Valencia, Jerez y Barcelona. Connor De Phillippi raced a BMW M4 for Rahal Letterman Lanigan in the GTD Pro category in 2022. This was the first year for that class as he had been competing in the IMSA GTLM category before that class was phased out. In this interview taken on the Thursday before the 2022 Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, he talks about his early open-wheel career versus GT racing, how GTD differs from GTLM and his preparation for the race weekend. After a penalty in qualifying relegated his team to start last, De Phillippi carved his way through the field to the lead before another penalty during a pit stop dropped them down the order again. De Phillipi is a talented driver who's always looking forward to improving his craft and going after wins. Enjoy! Walking through the paddock at any motorsports event affords you the ability to see a lot of really cool things. Everything is designed to capture your attention and draw your eyes and ears to it. From the fast looking cars with their colorful liveries and ear-pleasing exhaust notes to the giant flags denoting the team garages. But this weekend one logo really stands out among the crowd, and that's the giant Red Rooster emblazoned on the BMW M4 of Rooster Hall Racing.  Rooster Hall Racing (RHR) traces its roots to 2002 with the purchase of a highly modified E30 M3. Today the team campaigns cars in BMW CCA Club Racing and SRO America.
