Few know the Georgia Bulldogs better than David Pollack. The former ESPN analyst is among the greatest players in school history. Kirby Smart and Co. have been one of the sport's standard-bearers of the 2020s, including national titles in 2021 and 2022. The methods behind their success aren't under lock and key, either. The Bulldogs make no secret of how they plan to attack their opponents, and Ole Miss is next in the Sugar Bowl. Pollack explains in an all-new podcast with the Ole Miss Spirit's Brad Logan. Our Sponsors:* Check out FRE and use my code LISTEN20 for a great deal: https://frepouch.com* Check out Underdog Fantasy and use my code CHAMPIONS for a great deal: https://underdogfantasy.comAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Georgia and Ole Miss travel to New Orleans, La., for a College Football Playoff quarterfinal game in the Sugar Bowl. The game will be played New Year's Day at 7 Central and will be shown on ESPN. The Southeastern 16 crew previews the game. Topics include: We saw a motivated Ole Miss team handle Tulane easily, a game that showed the Rebels are ready to play for new coach Pete Golding. However, Ole Miss's best two players--Trinidad Chambliss and Kewan Lacy--both suffered shoulder injuries vs. Tulane. Monitor the health of both entering the Sugar Bowl. Georgai's defense, led by CJ Allen and KJ Bolden, played like some of Kirby Smart's elite defenses in the season's second half. They'll need to play well because Chambiss is a dynamic player, plus, the Rebels can spread a defense out through the air as five pass-catchers--Harrison Wallace III, De'Zhaun Stribling, Deuce Alexander, Dae'Quan Wright and Cayden Lee--enter with over 500 yards receiving. The Bulldogs have found plenty of offensive balance with physical running back Nate Frazier showing both speed and power, and quarterback Gunner Stockton showing he can make timely plays both through the air and with his feet when needed. Don't sleep on Ole Miss's defense, either. The Rebels gave consistent effort there and have stars in linebacker Suntarine Perkins, Princewill Umamielen and didn't allow more than 26 points in any of their last six games. Both teams are elite on special teams. YEARLY CO Use promo code SE16KIT for a free sizing kit! https://yearlyco.com/ ROKFORM Use promo code SEC25 for 25% off! In this episode, Randall and Arielle react to the 4OT Celebration Bowl Classic where Chennis Berry and South Carolina State emerged victorious over Tremaine Jackson and Prairie Vie A&M. They break down the game and discuss if the Bulldog's win is indicative of how they'll compete next year. Later, Randall & Arielle do a deep dive into Chennis Berry's comments following his Celebration Bowl victory. In his comments, he called out a lack of attention for him and other non-celebrity coaches as opposed to Michael Vick and DeSean Jackson doing the MEAC Coaches Calls. Randall uses the comments to speak about a situation where he received criticism for posting a graphic about DeSean Jackson and Delaware State first before a graphic about Chennis Berry winning the MEAC Championship. The duo then give a broad overview of the HBCU media space, why there's a huge focus on the former NFL players turned coaches and possible solutions. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Southeastern 16's Jay Greeson and Chris Lee unpack the matter of whether Georgia should be the national title favorite. Topics include: Kirby Smart has his team peaking at the right time--and is there any coach you'd trust more in the postseason than Kirby Smart? Just one team managed to beat Georgia during the regular season--Alabama--and Georgia just smashed the Crimson Tide in the Southeastern Conference title match two weeks ago. The Bulldogs entered the season very talented, but also very young. Peaking at season's end was a very predictable trajectory. Listen to Kirby Smart's interview with David Pollack on the “See Ball, Get Ball” podcast this week. You can hear the confidence and the faith in the work ethic. The Bulldogs showed up in big circumstances: a September win at Tennessee, a win in a rivalry game at Auburn, a home defeat of Ole Miss, a neutral-site win over Florida in a rivalry game on a day the Gators showed up to play, a dominant performance at Mississippi State, a 25-point demolition of Texas and a defeat of Georgia Tech in a rivalry game. Nate Frazier has been running well, Gunner Stockton makes timely plays and the defense is peaking at the same time. Is there a dominant team anywhere? On the other hand, many of those wins weren't dominant performances and on the whole. Some elements of Georgia's season (a per-play edge of just 5.8 yards to 4.9, a turnover margin of zero) were merely good and not national-title level. Where are the superstars? After all that, how do we see the Bulldogs? (HINT: The answers may be in things we haven't mentioned above!) 'Twas the night before Playoff, when all through the nation, The fans were all gathered in wild expectation. The brackets were hung by the chimney with care, In hopes that a trophy soon would be there. The Sooners were nestled all snug in their beds, While visions of Venables' blitzes filled heads. At eight on a Friday, the lights will shine bright, As Alabama comes knocking to settle a fight. A rematch of Week 12! The Tide seeks to fly, But Ty Simpson sees blitzers wherever he'll spy. The winner gets Indiana in the Rose Bowl's sweet glow, But the Tide's rushing game is still painfully slow. With Mateer at the helm and his hand feeling right, Oklahoma plans for a home-field delight. Then out on the Saturday, what should appear? The Aggies and Canes as the noon hour draws near. In College Station, where the 12th Man will roar, Malachi Toney looks to add to his score. He catches the screens, he's a YAC-machine king, But the Aggies' run defense is a vulnerable thing. Marcel Reed must be careful, he must keep it clean, For the Miami pass rush is exceptionally mean. The victor heads off to the Cotton Bowl's gate, Where the Ohio State Buckeyes in silence will wait. By half-past the three, in the land of the Rebs, The Tulane Green Wave tries to untangle the webs. Ole Miss has no Kiffin, he's gone to the Bayou, But Pete Golding's defense says, "We will defy you." Chambliss throws deep—it's a beautiful sight, Against a Wave secondary that's prone to a fright. Jamauri McClure brings a spark to the ground, But the Rebels' explosive plays simply abound. The Sugar Bowl beckons for the winner's next show, To face Georgia's Bulldogs, the toughest of foe. The nightcap arrives under Oregon skies, Where the Dukes of JMU hope for a prize. Alonza Barnett has a hot passing hand, But the Ducks are the giants that rule o'er the land. Dante Moore is a star, a first-round-pick dream, Leading the nation's most balanced of team. The Dukes defend edges with discipline and pride, But there's nowhere for underdogs truly to hide. The Red Raiders wait in the Orange Bowl sun, For the winner of this final first-round-play run. The coaches are leaving, the transfers are set, The highest of stakes that a program can get. I heard Max and Dalton exclaim ‘ere the flight: "Happy Playoff to all, and to all a good fight!"
