Meglio noto come Sam Peckinpah. Meglio noto come Sam Peckinpah. Meglio noto come Sam Peckinpah. "Wait for me, sunrise Bring me some new skies Gonna stop all my wandering When I see what tomorrow will bring" Dopo "Il Mucchio Selvaggio", molti si aspettavano un nuovo film di Peckinpah altrettanto sanguinario. "Tomorrow will be the song you sing Yesterday won't mean a thing Make today your next days dawn And you're still be here grinning when today's all done" Potete trovare "La Ballata di Cable Hogue" qui: https://amzn.to/42eea4J https://amzn.to/42kagH6 Link per iscriversi ai servizi di Amazon: http://www.amazon.it/amazonprime?tag=pendente90-21 https://www.amazon.it/music/unlimited?tag=pendente90-21 https://www.primevideo.com/offers/ref=atv_nb_lcl_it_IT?tag=pendente90-21 https://www.amazon.it/kindle-dbs/hz/signup?tag=pendente90-21 http://www.amazon.it/joinstudent?tag=pendente90-21 https://www.primevideo.com/offers/nonprimehomepage/ref=atv_nb_lcl_it_IT?_encoding=UTF8&tag=exampleAssociateStoreID-21?tag=pendente90-21 https://www.amazon.it/tbyb/huc?pf=1&tag=AssociateTrackingID?tag=pendente90-21
00h 00’00” Jerry’s ragtime 00h 00’53” Presentación 00h 02’47” Cabecera 00h 03’24” 1969 100 RIFLES 00h 03’24” Main title 00h 04’47” Escape and pursuit 00h 08’34” I’ll go back 00h 10’05” 1994 CUATRO MUJERES Y UN DESTINO (Bad girls) 00h 10’05” The John 00h 12’16” The hanging 00h 14’15” The snake 00h 15’29” My land – End credits 00h 22’12” 1968 BANDOLERO! 00h 22’12” Main title 00h 24’07” A bad day for hanging – The kidnap 00h 28’13” A better way 00h 31’54” 1975 NEVADA EXPRESS (Breakheart pass) 00h 31’54” Main title 00h 34’25” Free ride – Hot stove 00h 39’24” Reunited 00h 41’12” 1967 LA HORA DE LAS PISTOLAS (Hour of the gun) 00h 41’12” Main title 00h 46’22” The ballot box 00h 51’14” The search 00h 59’04” A friendly lie – End titles 01h 03’12” 1962 LOS VALIENTES ANDAN SOLOS (Lonely are the brave) 01h 03’12” Main title 01h 06’06” No surprise – Escape 01h 12’350” Wounded 01h 15’30” 1964 RIO CONCHOS 01h 15’30” Main title 01h 18’01” 1970 RIO LOBO 01h 18’01” Captured 01h 19’35” A good teacher – Quiet town – Cantina 01h 29’10” Plans – The raid 01h 36’06” 1966 HACIA LOS GRANDES HORIZONTES (Stagecoach) 01h 36’06” Main title 01h 38’34” A new passenger 01h 40’15” Family story 01h 44’46” 1975 POR LA SENDA MÁS DURA (Take a hard ride) 01h 44’46” Main title 01h 46’57” The wagon 01h 52’46” 1970 LA BALADA DE CABLE HOGUE (The ballad of Cable Hogue) 01h 52’46” Tomorrow is the song I sing – Richard Gillis 01h 56’44” Hasty Exit 01h 59’43” The guest 02h 02’42” EL POTRO ALAZÁN (The red pony) 02h 02’42” True love 02h 10’09” Father’s gift 02h 14’17” A helping hand 02h 17’40” 1971 DOS HOMBRES CONTRA EL OESTE (Wild rovers) 02h 17’40” Main title 02h 22’30” Wild horses 02h 25’57” Early morning – The wild rover – Ellen Smith

Keith joins Jason and they have an awesome, spirited conversation as always, this time discussing three dead-on classics about the Old West by the movie master, Ride the High Country, The Ballad of Cable Hogue and Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid. The guys agree: all three films are great, deeply flawed and fascining as hell as depictions of Peckinpah's inner life, the decine of the Old West, and the ways the perception of heroism evolves and changes over time. We think it's a great listen; hope you agree. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/jason-sacks/message

In the forty-sixth episode of Season 3 (Manifest Destiny) Kyle is joined by script supervisor Katy Baldwin and screenwriter David Gutierrez to discuss an oddly tender addition to the filmography of Sam Peckinpah, the often times bizarre and incredibly thoughtful ode to the end of the West in The Ballad of Cable Hogue.
Prégénérique / Extrait Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia (1974)Extrait / Major Dundee (1965)Kris Kristofferson / Sams Song (Ask Any Working Girl)Rod Hart - Arizona Morning (Junior Boner - 1972)Extrait / Convoy (1978)C.W. Titus & John Marini wrap up a trilogy on Sam Peckinpah's Westerns with his most comic, least violent picture: The Ballad Of Cable Hogue. The only movie he made about a Founding also turns out to be his story about dealing with movability, mutability, & mortality in America. Progress is a killer, but human beings can remember their love of the natural, tranquil life. It's also Peckinpah's Lockean Western, where labor mixed with nature creates property & leads to a common good for a community!

This earned them the nickname “hillbilly communists” among the local authorities.
