From run-ins with New Age demonologists to white knuckling a Corolla on a third-world road in America, the boys recount their trips to hell—one on water, the other in the Virgin Islands. They also dive into the Toad controversy, the cowardice of the comedy elite, and the latest in Nephilim Death Squad merch drops. Christian comedian Kerri Pomarolli knows what's it like to feel hopeless. After she and her comedian husband divorced, she didn't think anyone would want to hire her for Christian events again, so she holed up in her bedroom and hid under the covers, binge-watching all five seasons of Friday Night Lights, drinking coke and eating a balanced diet of M&M's and salt and vinegar potato chips. Becoming a member of the Single Moms' Club wasn't exactly on her bucket list, but God revealed a plan for her to reach a whole new group of people. That was the motivation for her to get out of bed and start working again as He provided opportunities she'd never expected. Kerri's resume includes being on the Tonight Show 29 times and named one of LA's Most Inspiring People by LA Voyage Magazine and Comedian of the Year by The Hollywood Red Letter Awards in 2022. In this episode Kerri shares her journey as a comedian and how she's making single parenting work for her and her two daughters. She also brings lots of humor as she shares her life experiences as well as practical advice for single moms. Even though divorce was never something she wanted, she's learned how God can use it for good. The comedian Taylor Tomlinson grew up in a religious household, so her very first stand-up performances were on the Christian comedy circuit. But after she got fired from a church gig because of a joke she told, she started branching out her comedy. Now, she's one of the biggest comics in the world, the host of “After Midnight” on CBS, and she's just released her latest comedy special, “Have it All.” Taylor joins Tom Power to talk about her early stand-up days and what it's like being the only woman currently working in late-night television.
Sweet encouragers, aren't you so thankful for second chances? Full disclosure; Tanya and I recorded a complete podcast on Tuesday of last week and we trashed it because I forgot how to podcast. Tanya patiently waited for me to calm down for the week and this is what we like to call the “Take Two Podcast”. Excitement dominates from the beginning as Tanya speaks from the joy in her heart over the Razorback victory on Saturday. The whole city cheered and celebrated until the wee hours of the night. Woo Pig! I recap the weekend Leighton and I shared with Point of Grace and the Circle of Friends weekend. We enjoy catching up on TV and movies, as well as, Tanya's very appropriately timed cute and fun segment. I gush over Prince William, Nicole Kidman, and Bananas Foster dessert. Beloved audience, I have a vacation destination recommendation that gets five out of five stars and Tanya has a precision television recommendation that gets a zero out of five stars. We're bringing it all to you and we call it as we see it! I've been to Dreams Onyx in Punta Cana with the cutest kids in the whole USA and Tanya has been doing “choring bores” because her house continues to try to kill her but she has on a happy face because fall weather is landing in Little Flock. Starbucks says so. Pumpkin spice, Razorback football, and Caitlyn Clark come bubbling out of her today and I feel equally as bubbly because of vacay memories, Quincee stories, and cowboy accessories. From the Movie Unsung Heroes. The story of For King & Country. In real life, Kay was one of the neighbors that helped the Smallbones when they first arrived to Nashville. In a colorful bathrobe, fuzzy slippers and a wig with curlers, Kay DeKalb Smith hits the platform with a coffee pot in one hand and New Testament in the other. This peppy redhead wins audience chuckles with stories of chasing her daughters with a fly swatter, her dislike of cooking (“My family always knows when dinner is ready because the smoke alarm goes off!”), and the trials of hormonal ups and downs. She sings about balancing the checkbook, hot flashes and God's love. She has been called by a pastor the “Carol Burnett of Christian Entertainment.”

Most will say that when God prospers, it's then you can raise the standard of living. Not so in the Duffield's case. Raising the standard of "giving" has become the ultimate joy for them and It literally has become a thrill of a journey to be able to bless others as God blesses them. The act of giving triggers a natural release of endorphins in our brains, making us feel happier, called, and more fulfilled. The connection with others that comes from fulfilling a need or blessing someone who isn't expecting it, deepens a sense of unity and compassion within our communities. This off-the-cuff episode, fun as it is, is just a simple reminder that God is NOT a respector of persons, nor is He selective in who He positions for favor. The bottom line is obedience, then being ready to receive and ask God for open doors to benefit others. Becoming that funnel and channel of blessing is absolutely fun! www.sueduffield.com mailto:radiosue@me.com
Jeff & Sue Duffield are as unpredictably predictable in just about everything they are and everything they do! This episode starts out with the typical banter of two people who do just about everything together, but are as opposite as night and day in so many things. Jeff's production and orchestration opportunities are flourishing and building every day, while Sue has had some down time recently to recharge, reboot and balance out her life a bit.. Balance, in definition, is "an even distribution of weight enabling someone or something to remain upright and steady..", which is kind of funny when this particular episode starts out with recounting Sue's recent tumble on the pavement at the post office. But when it comes to balance and the walk of life of every Christian, be it like Sue to merge the physical with the spiritual. The four lessons that Jesus taught her during a month-long journey of seeking balance, just might apply to you too. www.sueduffield.com www.youtube.com/sueduffield www.jeffduffield.com

Sue Duffield's experience with Waffle House is such a fun and meaningful encounter - almost like church! Are you "scattered, covered and smothered?" The thought here is, she surely hopes you are! When we ask God to forgive us, His forgiveness comes not because we say, “I will do better”, but only on the basis of what Jesus did on the cross. No matter how awful we've been, the blood of Jesus is ENOUGH to cleanse, purify and save you...kind of like scattering your sin, covering your heart and smothering you with His goodness! God, the Father sent Jesus to suffer, bleed and die so that He can forgive you. Wow! Take a few minutes to bask in the Light of that statement.. www.sueduffield.com

This episode is the unexpected follow up to the previous episode 160, capturing the full emotion, surprise and prophetic way that only God could orchestrate in the lives of the Duffields. The Yamaha Piano Company and Costco are just the role players in this long-time, deeply tucked away grand piano dream for Sue Duffield and her husband, Jeff. But it takes a whole lot more than a dream, it takes a great deal of money to purchase such a musical instrument like this brand new Yamaha Baby Grand. And there in lies the miracle.. Sue's hope is that as you listen to this progressive journey of unexpected blessing, that you too will capture the essence and diligence of seeing God through when you have a deeply hidden desire in your life. The best quote of this episode is: "It's a joy for me (Sue) to see your (Jeff) dream come true." And this is as it should be in all believers, because it's imperative for your health and well-being to always celebrate the mountaintop experiences in others. Then, sit back and see how God opens doors for you. The supernatural influx of blessing as you bless others, has no limit. www.sueduffield.com

When our faith feels ungrounded, something we are certain of begins to feel uncertain, or someone we hold in high regard lets us down, we experience pain. We begin to lose hope. This is where disillusionment begins. Katie and Mandy sit down with Dr. Alicia Britt Chole to discuss her life's work poured into her newly released book, "The Night is Normal: A Guide Through Spiritual Pain." Alicia describes how even though faith shines best in full sun, it grows depth in the dark. That the roots―and fruits―of spiritual pain are actually an invitation to deep love. She explains "night faith" and how the night is not our enemy, but in fact―the night is necessary. Dr. ABC, a former atheist, an award-winning author and international speaker has messages that have been featured on TBN, Daystar, Propel, Christianity Today, Guideposts, FaithGateway, and "Chicken Soup for the Soul." Often described as a captivating communicator, Alicia speaks, writes, mentors and serves as the founding director of Leadership Investment Intensives, Inc., a non-profit devoted to providing personal soul-care to leaders in the marketplace and church. Her book, "Anonymous: Jesus' Hidden Years and Yours," is highly regarded by leaders and learners around the globe. She holds a doctorate in Leadership and Spiritual Formation (George Fox Evangelical Seminary). With her husband Dr. Barry Jay Chole) of 27 years, she joyfully parents their three extraordinary children in a country home off of a dirt road surrounded by loads of laundry, laughter, and love. To learn more about Alicia, visit her website at www.aliciachole.com , on Instagram @aliciabrittchole or on twitter @aliciachole.
Mandy and Katie sit down with long time friend and Pastor, Will Freyschlag, to discuss how asking better questions ultimately leads to a stronger relationship with God. They talk openly about the importance of humility, community and context when discussing faith. Will candidly explores how confusing and challenging the Bible can be, why people are leaving the church and offers helpful perspective for believers and non-believers alike.
