Brooklyn-based DJ and producer Clarisa Kimskii has cemented her musical footprint on the borough since moving back in 2022. Through a palpable blend of psychedelic and driving techno, Clarisa's approach to the genre is deeply idiosyncratic - an assemblage of both timeless and modern grooves. As a producer, Clarisa has contributed to a handful of respected labels (Monday Off, Dusk & Haze, Mysteries of the Deep, etc.) within her sonic niche, but it's through her own label L.A.G where the ethos of her sound truly takes form - a detailed variation of propulsive and atmospheric soundscapes. Clarisa is deeply rooted in the techno subculture's underground, the 20+ year veteran is a regular at city's premiere institutions like BASEMENT or Nowadays. Clarisa used to be a resident DJ at Brooklyn-based Merge from 2022-2024. Her pure, yet passionate approach to DJing has graced the decks of memorable nights at international institutions in Tresor, Berghain, Ratherlost or Blitz, and at notably iconic parties in Wrecked, Club Toilet, Pornceptual, and The Bunker NY. Recent festival appearances at Taiwan's Organik Festival and North America's Honcho Campout, Draaimolen, Rural Festival and Sustain-Release have only elevated her reputation as a force within those respective communities. The saga continues with juicy bits on the horizon. On the afternoon of April 23rd, 2019, a call was made to 911. The caller was Clarisa Figueroa, who told the operator she'd just given birth in her home. Apparently, labor went so quickly, she didn't have a chance to head to the hospital. Unfortunately, the birth didn't go well, because the baby was blue and Clarisa couldn't get him to breathe. So two ambulances rushed over. One took the baby, who rode all alone and the second one took Clarisa. Both of them arrived at Christ Advocate Hospital right away. But when they showed up, the doctors there thought something seemed off with Clarisa's story. Zoc Doc Go to https://www.Zocdoc.com/ANNIEELISE and download the Zocdoc app for FREE.

New York party Merge is often described as a queer techno extravaganza. Over the past two years, it's built a loyal community from the ground up while integrating everything from high-energy trance to disorienting acid into its rave repertoire. Resident Clarisa Kimskii has played a defining role in the collective's growth, largely thanks to the ultra-kinetic and rhythmic pace of her DJ sets. Time and time again, the Washington DC native has demonstrated her ability to lock in dancers through captivating and hypnotic selections across various sub-styles of techno. There are tribal, witchy cuts. Jacking, Detroit-style funk. Psychedelic, DJ Nobu-style grooves and austere sounds that nod to Sandwell District. It's the kind of range that explains why Kimskii has been booked worldwide many years over, and more and more as of late. Her deep understanding of techno's myriad flavours come from two decades of industry experience as well as esoteric productions on labels like Mysteries Of The Deep and L.A.G. (her own short-lived, underrated, essential techno platform). Kimskii's long time in the techno scene, her experience and her expertise is expressed in full form on her RA Podcast Moving from industrial grit to gentle transcendence to heady acid, the mix feels free, fluid but also remarkably precise, just like Kimskii herself. @kimskii Read more at https://ra.co/podcast/901
