When it comes to her art Jnet has always had the desire to create something of beauty made from her hands. Her love of clay focuses on two main properties: the contrasts of transforming a soft malleable material into a rock hard object that retains the appearance of softness, and the ability to create unpredictable colors and designs on pottery and sculptures with fire. She strives to create sculpturally functional hand-built and wheel thrown forms inspired by joyful colors and nature. Her artwork does not attempt to address any issues facing us, but is a simple exploration of the expressive qualities of color and the sculptural qualities of a leaf, especially Hostas. And he's been a champion for arts and culture here on Cape Cod.  In this episode, we speak with the Senator about how the arts led him to a career in politics as well as how the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod's Creative Exchange is being bolstered thanks to $400,000 in federal funding from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).  Senator Julian Cyr was instrumental in securing the federal dollars to support the Cape's creative economy, filing an amendment to the Legislature's $4 billion ARPA and surplus tax revenue spending bill, which Governor Charlie Baker signed into law in December 2021.  “These are once-in-a-generation funds that are meant to help us rebuild and repair and build more resilient communities,” Senator Cyr said. “When you look at what powers Cape Cod and the Islands' economy, it is not solely tourism and our gorgeous beaches and natural beauty. The fabric of our community is its creativity and innovation.”

Everything is on the table for discussion – E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G. – You name it – we claim it.  You put a rush on it – we'll run it down In-A-Hurry-Quick.  Politics on the menu?  Where do we stand now as a nation?  Did Colin Kaepernick have just cause?  Is there any other COLOR ON COLOR CRIME?  Are you registered?  Is the #METOO campaign viable?  Have you seen Saturday Night Live's gizmos on the WHITE HOUSE?  What is your take on Colin Jost & Michael Che from SNL?  What do you think about the children/teenagers who lost 17 school mates in the Florida school shooting?     We are on Monday through Friday each morning at 8a pacific, which is 9a Mountain, 10a central and 11a Eastern.  Everything goes.  Everything.  On Wednesdays, Johnny Davis follows immediately with WILD WEDNESDAY – you'll enjoy it.  When you are on, do not be disruptive, we have fun, but we like the show to run smooth.  If you have noises in your background, they are magnified, so keep a quiet atmosphere or Jay will mute you –                                                        Jay King – Lynn Tolliver (me) – Johnny Davis – Reese Hopkins             We talk about just about anything and everything you can imagine, but don't just leave it up to us for the final word.  Do your own research to reach your own conclusion.  Let us be the spark to your fire, you got it?  Kings in the Morning, right here – right now.
