Walt Disney (DIS) shares surged after a strong earnings beat, driven by better-than-expected streaming growth. The company reported a 1.4 million increase in Disney+ subscribers, defying earlier expectations of a decline. However, David Phillips, notes that potential tariffs on content produced outside the U.S. could impact Disney's global distribution and production costs. Despite these concerns, Phillips remains bullish on Disney's long-term prospects.======== Schwab Network ========Empowering every investor and trader, every market day.Subscribe to the Market Minute newsletter - https://schwabnetwork.com/subscribeDownload the iOS app - https://apps.apple.com/us/app/schwab-network/id1460719185Download the Amazon Fire Tv App - https://www.amazon.com/TD-Ameritrade-Network/dp/B07KRD76C7Watch on Sling - https://watch.sling.com/1/asset/191928615bd8d47686f94682aefaa007/watchWatch on Vizio - https://www.vizio.com/en/watchfreeplus-exploreWatch on DistroTV - https://www.distro.tv/live/schwab-network/Follow us on X – https://twitter.com/schwabnetworkFollow us on Facebook – https://www.facebook.com/schwabnetworkFollow us on LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/company/schwab-network/About Schwab Network - https://schwabnetwork.com/about

Jim's latest book "The JFK Assassination Chokeholds: That Prove There Was A Conspiracy" - Find here. National Archives - JFK Files - Read here. Jim recommends "The Man Who Knew Too Much" by Dick Russell. Purchase Book Here Despite new information about Oswald in the recently released JFK files, mainstream media says "nothing new". In the files there is more info about Oswald's 201 file, Mexico City, Helsinki, Castro etc.. When Oswald was released from the Marines it was from a "hardship discharge", using Marguerite's injuries as an excuse. Typically it takes a few months for the marines to investigate hardship claims but Lee's was approved with in just 11 days. When Lee left the Marines, it was 9 months earlier than when he was scheduled to be released. Rosaleen Quinn who dated Oswald while he was in California recalled Lee was more fluent in Russian than she was. After being discharged, Oswald was only in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for 72 hours before heading to New Orleans. Oswald leaves from New Orleans to France, using the same travel agency as the International Trade Mart. Coincidence? Why was Oswald going to Helsinki important? Was it because Helsinki processed visas within 48 hours? After travelling on a freighter to Europe, Oswald goes to Helsinki & stayed at the Hotel Torni. How did Oswald afford this? Oswald participated in a planned, fake defection program. Without government assistance, how would he afford a 4 star hotel? The Warren Commission avoided going into the intricate details of Oswald's movements and activity in Helsinki. WC investigator David Slawson was definitely curious about Oswald's trip to Helsinki. The CIA and FBI were the main sources of information for the Warren Commission. In 1963-1964, early investigators such as Mark Lane & Joachim Joesten who suspected CIA and government involvement. CIA 1971 memo - appears to have been debate in the CIA whether Kostikov was ever involved in Dept 13. Have you read the Lopez Report? Read here. If Oswald was in Mexico City, why isn't there any photographs or video of Oswald going into the different embassies? Why has the CIA never been able to produce a tape of Oswald's voice? On the Nov 22nd the CIA sent a tape of what they said was Oswald's voice to the FBI interrogating Oswald in Dallas. David Atlee Phillips put out a cover story - all of the Oswald tapes had been destroyed. The Lopez report contradicts this. Dan Hardway and Edwin Lopez wrote up bills of indictment for both Phillips and Anne Goodpasture Anne Goodpasture was Winston Scott's exec assistant. Pulse camera outside of the Cuban Embassy, activated by the door of the Cuban consulate opening & closing. Such a sensitive camera, yet no photos of Oswald? David Phillips claimed the camera was "out that day". The CIA did not want this information included in the volumes of the HSCA investigation. Was the whole Mexico City event a charade? Was the story about Kostikov the capper on the charade with Oswald? Was Oswald working with Kostikov and at the direction of the KGB? The KGB may have hired Richard Case Nagell to find out who was behind the pending plot to kill JFK. Jim recommends watching the 2014 AARC interview with Dan Hardway & Edwin 'Eddie' Lopez. Watch here. Hardway and Lopez worked out of CIA headquarters reviewing files and information until Joannides complicated matters. After Joannides got involved in hampering the investigation, files would be slow and redacted. The HSCA was shut down at the end of 1978 and decreased to a skeleton crew prior to publishing. What wasn't released in the HSCA volumes, was to be classified until 2029. Oliver Stone's "JFK" changed all of that. Italy, Nashville, and Danville Enter The Distilling Ring In this episode of the Whiskey Ring Podcast, I had the pleasure of welcoming Francesco Viola, the founder of Luca Mariano Distillery, to discuss his journey in the world of distilling. Francesco's story is deeply rooted in his family's Italian heritage, which adds a unique flavor to his approach to bourbon production. We kicked off the conversation by exploring the origins of Luca Mariano Distillery, tracing back to Francesco's great-grandfather, Baldassare Viola, who began distilling in the early 1900s. His journey took him from Italy to America, and later to Ontario, Canada, where he ran a distilling operation during Prohibition. Francesco shared how this rich family history inspired him to pursue distilling himself, starting in his garage in Michigan before transitioning to a licensed operation in 2013. Francesco recounted his early days of distilling, including a soft launch in Nashville and the eventual decision to move to Kentucky, where he found the perfect property in Danville. We discussed the significance of the land, which has a storied past in distilling, and how it influenced the design of the distillery and rickhouse. The rickhouse, modeled after a tobacco barn (and a three-tier cake), features innovative airflow designs that enhance the aging process of the whiskey such as massive numbers of windows. As we delved deeper into the distillery's operations, Francesco highlighted the importance of using high-quality ingredients and traditional methods, combined with modern technology. He emphasized the role of his team, including master distiller David Phillips and chemist Amanda Kaufman, both of whom bring extensive experience from renowned distilleries such as Beam and Maker's Mark. Their collaboration aims to push the boundaries of bourbon production while maintaining the integrity of the craft. We also touched on the recent transition to using Kelvin Cooperage barrels, which Francesco believes will elevate the quality of their whiskey. ISC provided barrels for many years, and Francesco was clear the transition isn't about the barrel quality, it's about the more intimate B2C relationship that's possible with Kelvin. He explained how the craftsmanship of these barrels, along with the unique design of the rickhouse, will contribute to a richer flavor profile and better yield. Throughout the episode, Francesco's passion for distilling and commitment to quality were evident. He shared his vision for the distillery, which includes not only producing exceptional bourbon but also creating a welcoming environment for visitors, infused with Italian hospitality. As we wrapped up our conversation, I was left inspired by Francesco's journey and the exciting future of Luca Mariano Distillery. This episode is a testament to the power of heritage, innovation, and the art of distilling, and I can't wait to see how Francesco continues to shape the bourbon landscape in Kentucky. Bridging the gap and overcoming barriers in CCS expansionIt's no secret that achieving net-zero emissions requires a significant reduction in the use of fossil fuels. As the world looks to alternative energy sources to combat climate change, carbon capture and storage (CCS) emerges as a key technology enabling industries to decarbonize. By capturing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions at their source and storing them underground, CCS can significantly mitigate the environmental impact of industries that are otherwise hard to green, such as cement production and power generation. The International Energy Agency (IEA) has set an ambitious goal for CCS, expecting it to capture around 6 billion tons of CO2 by 2051 with notable advancements within the coming years. Innovations in CCS technology aim to address concerns of scalability and cost, making it more accessible and financially feasible for industries to adopt. Aker Carbon Capture is a provider with some major projects underway, and they've signed an MoU with Microsoft to pursue joint innovation in the space. David Banmiller sits down with Microsoft's Ole Henrik Ree, and Aker Carbon Capture's Hanne Rolen, and David Phillips, to discuss the crucial role played by CCS in achieving a more sustainable future. We conclude with a discussion about the 'Carbon Capture as a Service' (CCaaS) model, a shift aimed at enhancing accessibility and practicality, and the journey towards achieving net-zero emissions.Subscribe to the Interchange Recharged so you don't miss an episode.
