We're back! Episode 72 welcomes English producer, composer, and vocalist Ema Jolly, better known as @emika_official. A classically trained pianist, Emika has been making music for most of her life, both in the contemporary classical realm and the electronic one. Albums like her self-titled debut and early work like DVA, Melanfonie, and Falling in Love with Sadness were testaments to her thoughtful composition and emotional resonance. After having her two children however, her connection with music has only grown in depth and creative nuance, and these days, she's making some of her best work yet. Her immersive sound performances at planetariums around Europe bring her music to the venue it was always meant to be in, and these experiences in sharing her sound has sparked a new passion project: a community studio for immersive sound crafted by Emika and funded via Kickstarter. English: Emika Elena is a Berlin based DJ/producer and founder of HumanLessons. Music has always been a huge part of her life, ever since she started playing piano in her family home at the age of 4, but it was the discovery of techno in her early teens that led her to become a DJ. Her trademark sound is often described as "hypnotic darkness" which intersects expressions of ambient, experimental, and techno in her mixes. We had a fascinating conversation with Emika about what it is like to be an independent artist in the current musical climate. We spoke about  the VEGA trilogy, a look back at her work after 10 years in music, that she just released. One person developer Emika Games recently announced that they were stepping away from game development because of an overabundance of Steam refund requests for their games, which are considered very good but are generally less than 2 hours long and within Steam's refund window. This has stoked the typically outraged response from the games press, as well as gamers who believe they have a right to these refunds, even if they liked the games enough to leave positive reviews. Paul Frick ist festes Mitglied in den Gruppen "Brandt Brauer Frick" und bei "Tangerine Dream". Mit beiden arbeitet er gerade an neuen Alben. Trotzdem findet er auch noch Zeit, Soloalben zu veröffentlichen. Ende April erscheint das Doppelvinyl "Hofknicks" mit Reworks der Titel seines Debüts "Second Yard Botanicals" durch befreundete Musiker*innen, die er dann abermals bearbeitet hat. Außerdem hat er mit Emika die EP "In Parallel" eingespielt. Über all das und noch viel mehr sprach Paul Frick mit Olaf Zimmermann in dieser "Elektro beats"-Ausgabe und brachte zur zweite Stunde auch ein exklusives DJ-Set mit.

It's been weeks in the making, but in episode 23 we finally get the confrontation on those fighting for Ryo's affections. Bryce and Devon continue to be confused by the panel - what they focus on and who they seem to be criticizing. Meanwhile, in Hana's match she very shockingly wins and gets to spend a full day with Ryo! No one saw that coming at all! So she finally gets the date she pressured Ryo into, but in the end it's in very questionable location! (But going shoe shopping was a weird suggestion to begin with to be completely honest.)Also this week Emi is having an existential crisis about her life path while removing Hana's extensions and tries to get advice from Ryo only to be interrupted by Hana, who ends up suggesting this can all be solved with a drink! To close it out, the girls have a playroom confrontation (oh the drama of a Rom-Com!) and we close out with a mysterious phone call.Following all that, we've got Goalbatte where we judge each member and rank them for their weeks efforts towards their goals they set in the house.And in KonbanHUH?!
