Part 3: The true source of life
Do you want unshakeable confidence? Women say that one of the most attractive, safe and trustable things about a man is his confidence in himself. In this episode I explain why honesty in knowing who you are, what you're thinking, what you're feeling and what you want to create next is the key to becoming confident in yourself again. In our coaching, we help men get a powerful new mindset that empowers you to give, love and connect more deeply because you're finally doing that within yourself first. This mindset allows empathy, trust and connection to happen because you're confident in who you're being. We teach skills and knowledge that nobody ever teaches men when we're younger. Skills and knowledge that make you feel confident and in control even when chaos is going on around you. It's amazing what you can achieve when you make yourself a priority. Most men don't. They are too busy taking care of everyone else. Too busy minding the store and making the money. They are focused on the "outside game" of winning life. But their "inside game" of confidence and clarity is suffering badly. You can only improve your inside game with other men. What is the true source of anger? When you feel anger, you'll notice that it's because someone is not doing what's right. Welcome to Day 2458 of Wisdom-Trek, and thank you for joining me. This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to Wisdom Wisdom Nuggets – Psalm 20:6-9 Wisdom-Trek Podcast Script - Day 2458 Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps! I am Guthrie Chamberlain, and we are on Day 2458 of our Trek. The Purpose of Wisdom-Trek is to create a legacy of wisdom, to seek out discernment and insights, and to boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before. In today's Wisdom Nugget, we will complete our journey through Psalm 20 by focusing on verses 6 through 9. This section of the psalm is a declaration of confidence in God's deliverance and power. It's a powerful conclusion to a psalm that began as a prayer for the king before battle. In these last few verses, the psalmist expresses faith that God will give victory to His anointed one. Together, we'll explore the meaning of these verses and consider how they apply to us in our daily lives as followers of Christ. Let's begin by reading Psalm 20:6-9 from the New Living Translation: Psalm 20:6-9 (NLT): 6 Now I know that the Lord rescues his anointed king. He will answer him from his holy heaven and rescue him by his great power. 7 Some nations boast of their chariots and horses, but we boast in the name of the Lord our God. 8 Those nations will fall down and collapse, but we will rise up and stand firm. 9 Give victory to our king, O Lord! Answer our cry for help. Confidence in God's Rescue: In verse 6, we see a decisive shift in tone. The psalm began as a prayer for deliverance and protection for the king, but now the psalmist declares confidently, “Now I know that the Lord rescues his anointed king.” There's no longer a sense of uncertainty or pleading—there is assurance. The psalmist is confident that God will rescue His anointed one, King David, and grant him victory. This declaration of confidence is rooted in the understanding of God's covenant relationship with His chosen people. In the Old Testament, the term “anointed” referred to someone chosen by God for a specific purpose, often a king or a priest. In this case, the anointed king is David, and the psalmist expresses faith that God will protect and deliver him because of the special relationship that God has established with him. For us today, this verse holds great meaning as well. As believers, we are “anointed” through our relationship with Jesus Christ, who is the ultimate Anointed One. Jesus is our King, and God has promised to rescue and deliver all who belong to Him. This confidence that the psalmist speaks of can be our confidence as well. We can know that the Lord rescues His people—He hears our cries and answers us from His holy heaven. When we face challenges and battles in life, we can rest assured that God is with us. His great power is at work to deliver us from our troubles, just as it was for King David. Whether our struggles are spiritual, emotional, or physical, God is faithful to intervene and rescue us according to His will. The True Source of Strength: In verse 7, we see one of the most well-known and profound statements in this psalm: “Some nations boast of their chariots and horses, but we boast in the name of the Lord our God.” This verse draws a sharp contrast between two sources of strength. On the one hand, there are...
Source matters. This can be considered on many levels. Is something a “fact”? What's the source? Are you feeling anxious? What's the source? Delving deeper and deeper, when we touch upon the True Source, the One Source, all becomes clearer, lighter and easier to heal. Our lives can be knitted together like an elegant tapestry or knotted together in chaos. Likely, a combination of knitting and knotting. Let's explore the process of unknotting, of moving closer to the One Source, which is Ultimate Unconditional Infinite Love. And expose more of the magnificent tapestry you are.
Today, we explored the profound truth that true defilement comes not from what enters our mouths, but from the wickedness that originates within our hearts. We learned that Jesus challenged the religious leaders of his day to look beyond outward appearances and examine the true source of sin. Join Pastor Steve as we at Mark 7:14-23.

Rev. Kenneth Bomberger gives today's prayerful thought based on the day's Scripture readings.
Pharaoh's hard heart looked to the waters of the Nile for life. God showed His power by turning it to blood and death. When we, like Pharaoh, seek life elsewhere, we harden our hearts towards God. Peace and life come from God alone. Jesus is our living water and only hope and security.

Embracing Hope and Humility: The Triumphal Entry of Jesus As we embark on the journey of Holy Week, we are reminded of the profound significance of Palm Sunday, a pivotal event that marked Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem. This momentous occasion is not merely a historical account but a powerful testament to the hope and humility that should characterize our lives as followers of Christ. The Path to Glory: Humility and Authority As Jesus approached Jerusalem, he fulfilled the ancient prophecy by choosing to ride on a humble donkey. This act was a deliberate display of humility, reflecting his mission to serve humanity, not to conquer it. By entering Jerusalem in this way, Jesus demonstrated his unwavering commitment to God's plan and his disdain for earthly power and glory. Hosanna: A Cry of Hope and Adoration The crowds that gathered to greet Jesus burst forth in shouts of "Hosanna!" a Hebrew expression meaning "Save us!" These fervent pleas acknowledged both Jesus' status as the Son of David, the long-awaited Messiah, and their desperate need for redemption and salvation. The people's cries of hope and adoration echoed through the streets, reminding us of the yearning within every human heart for a Savior. The Foundation of Our Faith: God's Word and Spirit As we reflect on the triumphal entry, we are reminded of the importance of God's Word and the Holy Spirit in our lives. The prophecies that foretold Jesus' entry into Jerusalem gave hope to the people, providing a glimpse of the Messiah's coming. Similarly, the Scriptures serve as a guiding light for us today, offering hope and direction amidst life's uncertainties. The Holy Spirit empowers us to live in accordance with God's will, transforming our lives and making us more like Christ. The Palm Branch: A Symbol of Victory and Flourishing The palm branches that the crowds waved are a powerful symbol of victory and flourishing. In Scripture, the righteous are described as flourishing like a palm tree (Psalm 92:12). As we imitate Jesus' humility and strive to live in accordance with God's Word, we too can experience victory over sin and flourish in all areas of our lives. The True Source of Salvation: Jesus Christ The triumphal entry points us to Jesus as the true source of salvation and deliverance. The cries of "Hosanna" were not merely a plea for physical salvation from Roman oppression but a desperate longing for spiritual redemption from sin and death. Jesus came to save us from our sins and to offer us eternal life. By placing our faith in him, we can experience true salvation and become part of God's eternal kingdom. Summary In this conversation, Jeffery and Jamie discuss the importance of staying in the groove and the problem with the 1% better concept. They explore the idea of the aggregation of marginal gains and how streaking allows for sustainable improvement. They emphasize the importance of consistency and taking a step-by-step approach to improvement. They also discuss the joy and satisfaction that comes from doing your work and the true source of rewards. The conversation concludes with a call to action to start streaking and experience the benefits for yourself. Takeaways Staying in the groove is essential for maintaining consistency and achieving long-term success. The 1% better concept can be problematic if taken to an extreme, as it can lead to unrealistic expectations and feelings of failure. The aggregation of marginal gains, focusing on small improvements in various areas, can have a significant impact on overall performance. Consistency is key in streaking, and it allows for small wins and breakthrough moments. The true satisfaction and rewards in life come from doing your work and overcoming challenges. The first five stanzas of Psalm 103 are reminders that forgetting the blessings that we receive from God can be spiritually deadly, debilitating, damaging and destructive. Any such incidence of “spiritual amnesia” dampens and detaches our worship from its True Source who is the LORD. According to the Psalmist, the LORD “satisfies our desires with good things” (stanza 5a). Because of our sin nature, worship is not a natural response but requires us to be intentional about remembering what the LORD has done and blessing or worshipping Him. This sermon focuses on three components of that response: our temptation, our task and our testimony.

As I journeyed through my own struggles with loneliness, I came to a profound realization: it wasn't the external world that made me feel isolated, but the beliefs I held deep within my mind. Picture it like tending to a garden; my subconscious was filled with weeds of self-doubt and unworthiness, overshadowing the vibrant flowers of self-love and connection. Exploring my past, I unearthed the origins of these beliefs, understanding how they took root in early experiences and relationships. But just as a gardener doesn't despair at the sight of weeds, I embraced the opportunity to plant new seeds of positivity and self-compassion. It wasn't an instant transformation; it required patience and consistent care. I visualized these new beliefs as seeds taking root, each affirmation and act of self-love nurturing their growth. Gradually, the landscape of my mind changed. Loneliness wasn't about being alone; it was about the stories I told myself. As I nurtured my self-belief, I found that genuine connections blossomed naturally, not because my circumstances changed, but because I had transformed from within. And so can you! Listen in for the True Source of Loneliness and how you can overcome it!Support the showTo work with Allison in her 1:1 Coaching Program, schedule a FREE Consultationhttps://app.squarespacescheduling.com/schedule.php?owner=25254715To send a DM, visit Allison's profiles on Instagram and Facebookhttps://www.instagram.com/allisonkdagney/https://www.facebook.com/allisonkdagney/To learn more about Rapid Reprogramming for Subconscious Healing visit the websitewww.whentearsleavescars.com
Today we take a step back in time to the 1960's, and strangely, further onward ahead into a new world of climate uncertainty, in the spirit of the first Earth Day and a generation of logical dreamers who wanted to heal the planet before it was too late. We look back, and we look ahead with Clifford Humphrey, who became the first curbside recycler while still a student at U.C. Berkeley in 1968 and shortly thereafter in Modesto California where the business really took off. The Life Force of the Planet : Rebuilding our Homeworld
Dr. Washer begins this sermon by sharing a story about a veteran missionary who said that planting real churches in 40 years of ministry would be an astounding miracle. He then states that what the audience just heard from two missionaries is astounding because planting a church is an impossibility and can only be done by the preaching of the Gospel and the power of God. He emphasizes that planting many churches and reaching many people is beyond speech and that anyone who helped in this miracle has a part in it.He then turns to Daniel chapter 11 and reads verse 32, which talks about smooth words leading to godlessness and wickedness towards the Covenant, but those who know God will display strength and take action. He acknowledges that there is a great deal of debate about the eschatological implications of the text he just read but focuses on one main point: there is a person of extraordinary evil that comes against the people of God in an extraordinary time of evil. He states that regardless of how one interprets the text, its application is relevant to today's world.Washer describes the current state of the world as filled with extraordinary evil and darkness, opposition to the gospel, and a hatred for the Lord. However, he emphasizes that God does not call for his people to hide in fear but to go forward and display strength and take action. He urges the audience to focus on the priority of knowing God and encourages them to seek more knowledge of Him through scripture and prayer. He concludes by stating that whether someone goes down into the well as a missionary or holds the rope for those who go, there will be scars on their hands. These scars should be a source of pride, representing the cost of following Christ. This sermon was preached at Grace Community Church in California by Paul Washer.
