We talk a lot about agility, and today, we're going to talk about how lessons of agility can come from unexpected places - like the set of Seinfeld - where - for those superfans like me - our guest played Alec Berg - which should be said in more of a Jon Houseman manner, and while guest starring there (plus other shows like Curb Your Enthusiasm, Tracey Takes On..., and more) took some lessons from the value of collaboration and how great ideas can come from anyone, anywhere. Joining me today is Mark DeCarlo, an Emmy Award-winning comedian, TV host, and speaker who brings a fresh and entertaining perspective on navigating change, AI, and work-life balance. Mark has developed five simple strategies to help people embrace chaos, overcome fear of AI, and actually be happier while working smarter. ABOUT MARK DECARLO Improv actor/host, screenwriter and best-selling author Mark DeCarlo, lives a dual life: as an Emmy Award-winning TV host…and a cartoon.   As host/ringleader on 1000+ episodes of hit TV; Studs, X Show, Taste of America, and current series; World's Funniest Videos Top 10 and ABC's Windy City LIVE, Mark's improvisational skills - honed as a Founding member of The Second City Hollywood - have earned him three Emmy Awards for On Camera Host. From pissing-off pal Steve Carell, to convincing a random tourist to pose as a fashion designer during a live remote, Mark's interviews of the famous/infamous celebrate the odd and eccentric. His characters on “Curb your Enthusiasm,” “Tracey Takes On…,” “Seinfeld” and 2020's “Ballbuster,” zig where most zag. That's Mark, the human. Mark, the cartoon, came within a Shrek of winning an Oscar starring as Hugh Neutron in Best Animated Picture nominee “Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius,” and has built a career playing energetic, off-beat and edgy cartoons characters on many series, including; Family Guy, Barnyard, Planet Sheen, Johnny Bravo and Handy Manny. He stars in Steve Oedekirk's series of Thumb comedies from Thumbtanic to BatThumb, and will reprise his iconic role of Black Helmet Man in the upcoming 2022 release of ThumbWars IX. We most recently saw her in “Carrot Cake Murder: A Hannah Swensen Mystery” which premiered on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. Before that, she worked on “The Wedding Veil” series. Related: Listen to our review of "The Wedding Veil Legacy" and "The Wedding Veil Journey" both starring Alison Sweeney and Victor Webster. Jonathan Scarfe plays Nick. We last saw him in “The Wedding Cottage” where he plays Brendan Penny's art dealer. John Kapelos plays Gus. He currently has over 200 acting credits. He has such a recognizable face and has been in so many things including “The Breakfast Club.” #JusticeforClooney - the sweet rescue dog Clooney was not credited on IMDb.  Who Are Tippi and Neal H. Fun fact: In 2021 they co-wrote the first original holiday movie for Peacock along with their son Spyder Dobrofsky. It was called “The Real Housewives of the North Pole” and starred Kyle Richards. There hasn't been anything new on Hallmark Channel from the Dobrofskys in the last few years.

His family moved to Timmins, Ontario, soon after he was born. LaMarche's childhood was filled with his "own little world of cartoons and sixties television". It was in his second year of high school that he learned of the popularity his talent for mimicry could garner him. This realization came from a coincidental performance in a high school "variety night" when a couple of friends urged him to enter. The act he performed at the variety night was "celebrities as waiters" which he used until the end of his stand-up career. It took a few years after his 1981 move to Los Angeles for LaMarche to establish himself in the American voiceover industry, which he initially pursued as a side endeavor during his full-time standup comedy career. LaMarche began on Inspector Gadget with that show's second season in 1985, and went on to Dennis the Menace, Popeye and Son and The Real Ghostbusters where he played Egon Spengler. After The Real Ghostbusters, LaMarche became a regular mainstay of the voiceover industry, appearing in such shows as Tiny Toon Adventures, GI Joe, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes: The Animated Series, Taz-Mania, Where's Waldo, The Little Mermaid, Batman: The Animated Series, and Bonkers before landing perhaps his most recognized role in 1993 as The Brain on Animaniacs and later its spin-off show Pinky and the Brain. Following this, LaMarche worked on The Critic, Freakazoid!, and The Tick before then reprising his role of Egon in Extreme Ghostbusters. The stretch of two years after this saw LaMarche portray characters in such shows as Hey Arnold! as Big Bob Pataki, Queer Duck, and The Chimp Channel. During this time LaMarche would become the voice actor for Mortimer Mouse whom he would voice in the television series Mickey Mouse Works and Disney's House of Mouse. It was at this time, 1999, that LaMarche began work on Futurama, and since Futurama, he has continued to work steadily in television, including guest roles on The Simpsons (where he once again parodied Orson Welles). His most recent regular role came as Hovis the butler on the Nickelodeon series Catscratch. LaMarche was the voice of antagonist Father in Codename: Kids Next Door and was also the voice of Victor in Playhouse Disney's Handy Manny 2007 Halloween episode. LaMarche has done various voice work for many Warner Bros. Animation and DiC Entertainment cartoons. He also delivered the protracted belches for the "Great Wakkorotti" shorts on Animaniacs, in which Wakko Warner performed various pieces of music. In 2011, LaMarche reprised his role as Yosemite Sam in Cartoon Network's new series, The Looney Tunes Show, and its spin-off, New Looney Tunes. Find out more at https://still-toking-with.pinecast.co

The reason the kids loved it was, he could talk to his tools. I was always interested because I knew I was never going to be Handy Manny. We all know people who are super handy and know there way around tools. Now I am capable but sometimes you have to ask yourself, "Can I do this project myself, or do I hire someone to do it"? In this episode we discuss what projects we should and can do ourselves to save a buck or two or hire a professional to take on the task. This episode we’ve got something for the younger fans as we check out the recently shuttered Disney Junior - Live on Stage! at Disney California Adventure.  This guide map describes the show by saying, ’Sing and Dance with your favorite Disney Junior Characters!'  There are no age or height requirements for this show and each production lasts roughly 23 minutes. Before we visit Mickey and his friends, here are five fast facts about Disney Junior - Live on Stage! 1.  Disney Junior - Live on Stage! opened at Disney California Adventure on April 11, 2003 under the name Playhouse Disney Live.  The show replaced the ABC Soap Opera Bistro, a restaurant that featured sets from famous ABC Soap Operas. 2.   The original version of the show that opened in 2003 was the same as the Playhouse Disney Live show that was running at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida.  It featured characters from Bear In The Big Blue House, Rolie Polie Olie, Stanley and The Book of Pooh. 3. Over the years, the show has featured characters from other Playhouse Disney/Disney Junior shows including Jojo’s Circus, Handy Manny and Little Einsteins.  The current iteration of the show that we’ll hear today features Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Sofia the First, Doc McStuffins and Jake and the Never Land Pirates. 4.  A team of six puppeteers are cast for each show and they manipulate over twenty different puppets of the various characters who interact with the show’s human host and the audience. 5. All the characters in the show are voiced by their original voice actors including Corey Burton doing his incredible version of Hans Conried’s Captain Hook. Now it’s time to visit the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse at Disney Junior - Live on Stage!  Stay tuned afterwards as I give my thoughts on the show as you’ll be experiencing it with me as I watch for the very first time.  Also, this is a binaural recording, so if you have headphones put them on now as we enjoy Disney California Adventure’s Disney Junior - Live on Stage! Jim Turner is a journeyman character actor you've seen in scores of films and TV guest parts who has great stories about being picked by MTV to be their spokesperson, Randy of The Redwoods. He also has war stories about being replaced on his first big break, terrorizing a nervous guest star actor on Arliss, and great insight for any actor maneuvering in this crazy business. He boasts about being in Will Ferrell and Eddie Murphy's least successful movies. Also, learn though he is a great guy, why I have to leave any party he and Mark Fite are at. Also great inside showbiz scoop about what Tom key (Spongebob) demanded on his last contract negotiation. And Andy Paley joins us who did the theme song for my podcast, and has done the music for Spongebob, Handy Manny, Dick Tracy, and some famous song from Ren and Stimpy Ben Solenberger who sits in seemed to know.
