Devocional Edificai Por Pastora Raquel Carneiro Paulo argumenta que os filhos são como seus pais. Os filhos aprendem pela imitação. Deus é amor (IJo 4.8); por isso, os crentes devem andar em amor. Deus é luz (lJo 5.8); portanto, os crentes devem andar como filhos da luz. Deus é verdade (ljo 5.6); por isso, os crentes devem andar em sabedoria. Paulo fala sobre o fruto da luz (5.8- 14). Três são as responsabilidades decorrentes do conceito de que os crentes são “luz no Senhor”. Eles têm de andar como filhos da luz (5.8). Antes não apenas andávamos em trevas, mas éramos trevas. Agora, não só estamos na luz, mas somos luz. Devemos viver de acordo com o que somos. A luz purifica, ilumina, aquece, aponta a direção, avisa sobre os perigos e produz vida. Aqueles que são luz no Senhor devem produzir frutos luminosos (5.9,10). (pois o fruto da luz está em toda bondade, justiça e verdade), procurando saber o que é agradável ao Senhor. Os filhos da luz precisam condenar as obras infrutíferas das trevas (5.11). “E não vos associeis às obras infrutíferas das trevas; pelo contrário, condenai-as.” Precisamos não ser cúmplices e reprová-las, ou seja, desmascarar o que elas são, trazendo-as para a luz. Não sejam cúmplices (11). A postura do cristão em relação ao pecado precisa ser bem definida. Não podemos ocultar a nossa fé (Marcos 8:38), nem devemos ser cúmplices nos pecados de outros. Muitas pessoas apoiam os erros de membros da própria família, ou participam de igrejas que ensinam e praticam coisas erradas, Paulo condena a cumplicidade no pecado, dizendo que devemos reprovar as obras das trevas. É muito claro como devemos andar na luz, uma vez que passamos das trevas para a luz. Observe os contrastes apresentados aqui: Éramos trevas (5:8) X Agora somos luz (5:8) Andávamos no pecado (2:1-2) X Andamos como filhos da luz (5:9) Obras infrutíferas (5:11) X Fruto da luz (5:9-10) Obras ocultas (5:12) X Todas as coisas manifestas (5:13) Néscios (5:15) X Sábios (5:15) Insensatez (5:17) X Compreensão da vontade do Senhor (5:17) Embriagados com vinho (5:19) X Cheios do Espírito (5:17) O convite para que se acorde e ande na luz é feito aos que estão cercados pelos mais variados perigos espirituais provindos do relativismo e secularismo. Quando Paulo convida: Acorde e Viva na luz, a ênfase está na vida espiritual. Vida essa que tem apenas duas alternativas: luz ou trevas.

Odgovarja dr. Gregor Skok, izredni profesor na katedri za meteorologijo Fakultete za matematiko in fiziko Univerze v Ljubljani Vroči poletni meseci ne prinašajo le veliko sonca, ampak tudi manj prijetne pojave, kot so nevihte in neurja. Slovenija zaradi svoje geografske lege, reliefnih značilnostih in podnebnih razmer spada med najbolj nevihtna območja v Evropi. Pri nas na posameznih območjih nastane tudi več kot 40 neviht na leto, predvsem v topli polovici leta. Pogost spremljevalec neviht in neurij pa so tudi strele. Našega poslušalca je zanimalo, ali drži, kar je slišal od starejših: da hiša, v kateri so vsa okna in vrata zaprta, pritegne manj strel, kot če bi kakšno okno ali vrata pustili odprta.
