I have been an entrepreneur from 2012-2017 building two products AddoDoc and Babygogo. After selling my company to SHEROES, I and my partner Nansi decided to start up again. Hence was born The Neon Show (Earlier 100x Entrepreneur) to learn from founders and investors, the mindset to scale yourself and your company. This quest still keeps us excited even after 5 years and doing 200+ episodes. We welcome you to our journey to understand what goes behind building a super successful company. A very, very late change to the schedule this week but it's a welcome one too. My colleagues Vera German and Jade Zhang had the opportunity to speak to legendary Emerging Markets investor Mark Mobius on the Value Perspective, our sister podcast, and we thought it would be rude not to share that with you. Mark founded Mobius Capital Partners in 2018 following a three-decade tenure at Franklin Templeton where he managed over $40 billion in Emerging Markets' portfolios. Mark has experience of the opening up of various markets including Russia. He talks about what's changed and remained the same throughout his career; understanding company culture; the impact of AI on Emerging Markets development; and the concept of a new Cold War. India has emerged as the hot, new growth opportunity for global investors. It's the world's most populous country, and largest democracy. It's home to a demographic swath of 600 million people younger than 30, and a booming economy growing by 7-8% a year. India's energy and opportunity have made it a magnet for foreign capital, leaving many convinced that the highest-quality growth is yet to come. But is India's growth story the real deal? Is it at a tipping point too promising to ignore? Or is it just a diversification play for investors seeking to hedge their stakes in China? But he also notes the many profit opportunities still available for investors willing to do the legwork and research to find them.In particular, Mark likes the software and semiconductor subsectors of the technology industry. As for countries, Mark is very bullish on India…likes select firms in Taiwan…and continues to find opportunities in nations like South Africa and Brazil. You can also hear Mark sound off on Federal Reserve policy, the outlook for the U.S. dollar, investing in assets like gold and cryptocurrencies, and much more as well as the many other sessions from this event with a MoneyShow virtual pass: https://www.moneyshow.com/virtual-pass/eacr1023/?scode=061246

Every finance article on the subject pegs implementation of the system at 1974, when the "petrodollar recycling" agreement was made. However this agreement was not centered on what currency oil would be traded in, nor did it involve the rest of what is now OPEC. It was a bilateral agreement regarding the oil trade between the US and Saudi Arabia only. It governed what Saudi Arabia would do with the dollars received from oil sales to the US. Under the 1974 agreement, the Saudi government would invest excesses from oil sales in US Treasury bonds in exchange for military defense. Use of the dollar as the currency of exchange in international trade had already become commonplace in the two decades leading up to 1974. U.S. stocks surged again this morning on news the Producer Price Index fell by 0.5% in July, the first monthly decline since April 2020. At the same time, producer prices were up 9.8% year over year. And multiple Federal Reserve officials said tightening would continue until inflationary pressures completely ease. “Stocks are going up,” notes Harry Melandri, an advisor at Mi2 Partners and the host of Real Vision's The Next Big Trade podcast, “and that doesn't seem consistent with Fed statements.” That we need inflation to have peaked and to no longer be a problem does not mean, of course, that it's happened. To that end, we hear from emerging markets investing pioneer Mark Mobius about reasons to start nibbling amid what's still a bear market as well as the possibility that there's another shoe to drop because the Fed remains hawkish. Harry joins Maggie Lake, the host of Real Vision's My Life in 4 Trades podcast, to talk about all that and much more, including Harry's Cheesecake Factory anecdote. Seasoned investor and co-founder of Mobius Capital Partners Mark Mobius is issuing a dire warning to Bitcoin (BTC) traders that devastating losses still await the leading crypto asset. Mobius says that while the “buy the dip” strategy may have worked for cryptocurrency traders in the past, it's not a good idea this time around. However, he notes there could be a slight upswing after Bitcoin drops to the $20,000 mark before it once again resumes its plummet to $10,000. “[Buying the dip] will not work this time until Bitcoin hits $20,000, from where there might be a bounce but then the next target will be $10,000.” Learn more about your ad choices.
