Mikä helvetti on Mikkey Deen julbuffé eli joulupöytä? Jakson soittolista: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6m7ofu9Rt7lWavs1yWrCzN?si=2d5940c2048b4084 Menoehtoossa ovat mukana Ikaalinen Spa & Resort, Zero Nine, Peer Günt, Sakke Koivula, Hurriganes, Remu, Andy McCoy, Cisse Häkkinen, Scorpions, King Diamond, Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons, Fast Eddie Clarke, Philthy Animal Taylor, Lemmy Kilmister, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, M36 Tram, Thin Lizzy, Sweden Rock, ABBA, Montreux Jazz Festival, London Opera House, Rudolf Schenker, Klaus Meine, Paweł Mąciwoda, Matthias Jabs ja Uli Jon Roth.
Something a little different from the Mosh Pit as we venture into (almost) serious Metal podcast territory. Mikkey is joined by Scotty Swift, Martyn Clunes and Blue Thunder as we tackle all things Iron Maiden. From best to worst albums, the live shows, some very hot takes and we attempt to redeem the Blaze era (unsuccessfully).
After almost a year hiatus the Mosh Pit is back!!! Just as unprofessional and chaotic as before, Martyn Clunes, Scotty Swift, Blue Thunder and Caleb Valhalla are on board to celebrate but this time they've each prepared their very own quizzes. As well as this we're talking capers at the Comic-Con, missing gigs, Davey Annan, the adventures of Mr Wrestlezone, legit sell-outs, Mikkey's tag-team partner of the week and the ultimate KISS song plus we weave an Aberdeen Anarchy preview in amongst all this.

On this Valentine's Day, we're celebrating love in Chicago. When we hiked with the couple behind the popular TikTok “Black People Outside,” we couldn't get over how cute they are. Kam Stanton and Chevy Linear tell us how they got together. We also revisit our conversation with Dario Durham and Sara Faddah, who says doing the podcast “77 Flavors of Chicago” is like “tricking people into listening to us on date night.” But it's not all about romantic love. Host Jacoby Cochran shares a love story about his family's skating rink. Plus, we hear your Chicago love stories. Go back and listen to Kam and Chevy talk about raising the visibility of Black people in the outdoors and hear Sara and Dario talk more about their food traditions and visit Mikkey's Grill in Avalon Park with Jacoby. It's the first Wrestlezone show of the year and Mikkey is backstage at Summerhill Showdown doing his best Mean Gene impersonation to catch a few words with some of the guys and reveal some of the capers that occur pre-show.
A brand new setting for the Mosh Pit (not permanent) and some live guests actually in person join Mikkey to unveil the Mosh Pit's latest tournament as well as some exclusive reveals in regards to upcoming episodes and the Big Birthday Bash and Big Christmas Bash quiz trophies are finally presented to the winner.
We're keeping 2 festive traditions alive on this one- drinking and quizzes. Martyn Clunes, Scotty Swift, Caleb Valhalla and Blue Thunder are back for another crack at the quiz for the brand new trophy. As well as that we're off on tangents including working beers, problematic bands, fire alarms, playing duck-duck-goose on shows, Cameo, the Malystos, low tier NWO members, Ghostbusters and we personally cancel someone within the Scottish wrestling scene.
For their podcast “77 Flavors of Chicago,” Dario Durham and Sara Faddah seek to visit each of Chicago's 77 community areas to taste some of the best food the city has to offer. Host Jacoby Cochran recently joined the couple at Mikkey's Retro Grill in Avalon Park. The trio throw down on some burgers, jerk fries, and even vegan options, while talking about the changing South Side. Follow Sara and Dario on Instagram. Plus, go back and listen to Jacoby's interview with the couple and his last outing with them in Hermosa. The old guard of Wrestlezone, Scotty Swift, Martyn Clunes, William Sterling and Johnny Lions, pile into the Mosh Pit to vent about everything wrong about wrestling today plus being chopped by Bob Holly, drunk Archer, kicking X-Pac in the nuts, Johnny Kickpads, having heat with Ted DiBiase and why Kongo Kev was pulled from an early Wrestlezone show.
Complete chaos as Dino Del Monte, Ryan Riley, Chris Archer and Connor Inglis get together with Mikkey for the very first Heavy Metal Mixer. Amongst other things we're talking wrestling with punch-bags, buying vodka for Jim Duggan, having a blast at galas, uppercutting fruit machines, fantasy football and toothpaste. Thanks for checking out episode 13 of Drum For The Song podcast featuring Mikkey Dee who is the new drummer of German hard rock veterans Scorpions but was also the drummer in Motörhead for 24 years! I am your host Dane Campbell and I play drums in Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons and Straight Lines.During the conversation we talk about how having a musical family inspired Mikkey to play drums and how he saw Deep Purple live at age 7 and how he turned down Lemmy Kilmister to join Motörhead - twice! He also explains why playing a Scorpions show if more demanding than a Motörhead show ever was and why he never enjoyed playing the song 'Going To Brazil' live. He also talks about why he doesn't like Motörhead's Hammered album and how Lemmy was sometimes difficult to work with in the studio, which led to Mikkey leaving the band during the recording of the Overnight Sensation album! He also talks about his Wincent drumsticks and how he uses three different weights and combines them for different songs, why he doesn't like practice pads and why you should be looking at the ergonomics of your drum kit now!I hope you enjoy, please subscribe to the podcast via your podcast provider & YouTube, like and review where you can and share with anyone else who might be interested. Here is a link to my Patreon page in case you'd like to support me and become a Patron for some exclusive bonus content including a monthly Q&A session via Zoom, 20% discount on Motörhead Beer, discount on Drum For The Song merch & exclusive monthly bonus episodes and much more - http://www.patreon.com/drumforthesong/I'd like to give a special thanks to my top-tier 'Groove Master' Patrons for their extended support. Legendary drummer Mikkey Dee is on the show this week! Mikkey talks about the upcoming 40th anniversary of Ace of Spades, his first time seeing Motörhead as a teenager before joining the band, Lemmy's reluctance to play songs from the Ace of Spades live, and why Hammered is his least favorite record he performed on. Mikkey also talked about a whole lot about Lemmy: which part of Lemmy that always fascinated him, why having a sense of humor was such a key component to the joy of being around Lemmy, and Lemmy despising being put on a pedestal. We also get an update on the latest Scorpions record. Brandon, Jozalyn, and Sylvia tackle Sebastian Bach's walking out of an interview because of a gay joke involving Rob Halford, Rob's reaction on a later episode of the same show, and why gay jokes by straight dudes are extremely dated. Rasmus firar fredag hemma hos Mikkey Dee.

Part 2 of my conversation with Mikkey Halsted includes our discussion about why he would never work with R Kelly again, race as a social construct, gun violence in Chicago, and the time Mikkey gave J Cole work on the basketball court. We also reveal the top 5 Mickey's of all time and have a hard time trying to decide who would win a steel cage match between Yeezy and Weezy. We pick pick up our conversation where we left off last week. Mikkey was on a bus with his Cash Money Family and got into a fight with one of the top dogs. We mention a shark bus. There were two busses Cash Money artists rode on. There was the artist bus, which was the nice bus. Then there was the Shark Bus, which was full of ex cons and gangbangers. If you were on the shit list, that particular week, you had to ride the Shark Bus.
In 2008, Lil Wayne told XXL magazine that Mikkey Halsted was the man that inspired his music. Remember, at that point in time Weezy was on top of the music world. Before all that though, Mikkey came up rapping with a teenager named Kanye West. This was before Kanye was Yeesus. Mikkey was the best rapper in Chicago and everybody knew it. That’s why Kanye asked Mikkey to rap over his beats. Lil Wayne and Birdman couldn’t stop listening to Mikkey on their tour bus, so Birdman offered Mikkey and Kanye a deal with Cash Money Records. Birdman used some guerilla negotiating tactics to convince a young, cash-strapped Mikkey to sign. Kanye ended up leaving and going with Roc-A-Fella and the rest is music history. But that’s the short version. Today Mikkey sits down with me and tells the whole story. This is part 1 of that conversation.
