VIII En el corazón del siglo XVIII, en la tranquila villa de Corella, Navarra, se alzó un convento que pronto se convertiría en el escenario de uno de los episodios más oscuros y perturbadores de la historia religiosa española. Al mando de este convento se encontraba Sor Águeda de Luna, una mujer nacida en el seno de una familia noble, enviada desde niña al claustro como parte de la tradición de ofrecer un vástago al servicio de Dios. Pero lo que allí se gestó distó mucho de la devoción que se esperaba entre los muros sagrados. A lo largo de los años, Sor Águeda ganó fama por sus supuestos dones místicos. Se decía que tenía visiones, que su cuerpo mostraba los estigmas de Cristo, y que expulsaba piedrecillas milagrosas que curaban enfermedades. Pronto, peregrinos de toda condición comenzaban a acercarse a Corella, impulsados por el deseo de ver a la monja santa. Pero todo era un elaborado engaño. Bajo su liderazgo, un pequeño grupo de religiosas se apartó de la ortodoxia. En secreto, se celebraban rituales nocturnos, donde los dogmas cristianos eran invertidos. Se rompían hostias consagradas, se pronunciaban letanías al revés, y se firmaban pactos con tinta roja hecha de sangre y fluidos corporales. Entre velas negras y cánticos blasfemos, el convento se transformaba en un espacio de culto negro, donde lo prohibido se convertía en norma y el placer en un acto de rebelión espiritual. A las reuniones acudían no sólo religiosas, sino también frailes y hombres del pueblo. Los encuentros eran orgías, disfrazados de experiencias místicas. Las consecuencias físicas de estos actos no tardaron en manifestarse: embarazos que eran ocultados mediante engaños y aislamientos, partos clandestinos tapados por rezos y alaridos fingidos. Lo que comenzó como una sospecha terminó por confirmar las peores pesadillas. Agentes del Santo Oficio, alertados por una carta anónima, irrumpieron en el convento. Hallaron textos heréticos, ungüentos de procedencia grotesca y, en un rincón apartado de la celda de la abadesa, frascos con sustancias indescriptibles. Pero aun no habían encontrado lo peor. Sor Águeda fue arrestada y trasladada a Logroño, donde las torturas inquisitoriales arrancaron confesiones mezcladas de delirio, horror y verdad. Habló de pactos con el demonio, de rituales con sangre, de ungüentos para volar, de visitas nocturnas de hombres disfrazados de frailes. El proceso terminó con su muerte en 1743, quebrada por el tormento y por la evidencia de sus propios actos. Este caso, sepultado durante siglos por la vergüenza y el silencio, fue desenterrado por investigadores contemporáneos, entre ellos por el Escritor e Investigador Fermín Mayorga que reconstruyeron los hechos a partir de los legajos de la Inquisición. Corella, tierra de vino y devoción, fue también el escenario de un horror indecible, de un drama humano disfrazado de santidad. Una historia que, aún hoy, estremece por su mezcla de fe, deseo, manipulación… y crimen. Hablamos del parque de El Capricho de Alameda de Osuna que cumple 50 años como jardín gestionado por el Ayuntamiento. Por este aniversario, desde este martes, 3 de diciembre y durante toda esta semana, estará abierto de manera excepcional al público y no sólo el fin de semana como es habitual. Con Antonio Morcillo, subdirector de Parques y Viveros, hemos hablado de la historia y curiosidades de este parque que fue creado en el siglo XVIII por la Duquesa de Osuna, doña María Josefa de la Soledad Alonso Pimentel en el distrito de Barajas. El enigmático búnker del parque El Capricho de Madrid como vestigio de la Guerra Civil La Duquesa, rodeada de destacados jardineros, arquitectos, escultores y escenógrafos de la época, impulsó un programa cultural ilustrado que convirtió este espacio de Madrid en un importante punto de encuentro para personalidades, intelectuales, toreros y artistas. El jardín, que ofrece tres estilos diferentes, el parterre o jardín francés, el paisaje inglés y el giardino italiano es un auténtico paraíso natural que cuenta con templetes, ermitas, fuentes, plazoletas y hasta un palacio. Durante la Guerra Civil el estado expropió el jardín y construyó en él un bunker preparado para la guerra química, con conductos para la ventilación forzada y a prueba de bombas que se puede visitar con cita previa. Descubriendo Madrid: El parque de El Capricho Después de la muerte de la duquesa comenzó su declive, que fue imparable hasta que en 1974 el Ayuntamiento de Madrid compró el parque y comenzó su recuperación, que finalizó en 1999. Se trata de la instalación que tiene más jardineros por metro cuadrado de la ciudad que cuidan con mimo este espacio abierto solo los fines de semana y con restricciones. Con un límite de aforo de mil personas, no se puede acceder con mascotas, con comida, con pelotas o con bicicletas. Es el único jardín romántico que nos ha llegado hasta la actualidad y al que se puede llegar en metro a través de la línea 5. Una educación que en el siglo XVIII solo recibían los hombres. Nobles españolas como la Duquesa de Osuna o la Duquesa de Alba rivalizaban en captar la atención de Goya para que visitara su salón.

Los pisos turísticos se han convertido en la modalidad de alojamiento preferida de los turistas para las vacaciones y, según el INE, entre los turistas extranjeros, este tipo de alquiler ha aumentado un 45% hasta el mes de mayo respecto a 2023. Enrique Alcántara, presidente de la Asociación de Apartamentos Turísticos de Barcelona, no cree que los pisos turísticos afecten negativamente a la vida de los barrios, "sino todo lo contrario". "Por cada euro que deja un turista en el apartamento, deja tres más en la ciudad, en el comercio de proximidad, en restauración y en museos", pero asegura que el reto es hacer sostenible un equilibrio entre turismo y residencia. "Tenemos que aprovechar la riqueza que genera el turismo y hacerlo compatible con el día a día de los ciudadanos". Alcántara cree que es fundamental que las regulaciones se adapten a cada uno de los destinos, "ya que la realidad de Barcelona es diferente a la de un municipio costero", y explica que "lo importante de la vivienda turística es el alojamiento más flexible".En Madrid, a pocos pasos del Teatro de La Latina y el Mercado de La Cebada, hay un edificio con 63 viviendas. De ellas, 30 son pisos turísticos. Allí está nuestra compañera Loreto Souto, que ha hablado con algunos de los vecinos: "Hay ruidos, no puedes descansar, tienes una intranquilidad constante, rompen las zonas comunes, aguantamos botellones y despedidas de soltero, a las familias nos están echando", explican. Manuel Osuna, presidente de la Asociación de vecinos La Corrala en Madrid, nos cuenta que les preocupa la inseguridad: "No sabemos a quién estamos metiendo dentro de nuestros pisos. Los vecinos están hartos". "No estamos en contra del turismo, pero estamos en contra de que nos vayan echando de los barrios", asegura Osuna. La situación también es grave en Canarias, donde "el límite está más que superado", según nos cuenta Jaime Coello, director de la Fundación Telesforo Bravo, que pertenece al movimiento "Canarias tiene un límite". "Hablamos de 16 millones de turistas. Hay territorios mucho mayores, como Australia o Brasil, que reciben menos turistas", dice Coello, que explica que hay que diversificar la economía y no dedicar todos los esfuerzos al turismo.Escuchar audio

"The Joker," a pinnacle of cinematic villainy, has been an emblem of unadulterated chaos for nearly a century. This character is the very personification of turmoil and lawlessness, marked by a deranged psyche and a telltale, sinister smile. In a chilling parallel to this fictional entity, Jamie Osuna, a real-life criminal bearing a permanent smile tattooed on his face, manifested a similarly distorted moral compass and taste for destruction. Osuna reveled in orchestrating death and devastation and destroying the lives of those around him. Por eso el Señor había indicado: «Si alguien comete alguno de estos pecados, deberá reconocerlo» (Levítico 5: 5, TLA). Sin embargo, al corazón humano le resulta difícil admitir sus faltas. Tiene una inclinación natural hacia la autojustificación. A principios del siglo XVII, el duque Osuna, virrey de Sicilia y luego de Nápoles, visitó una galera con presos en el puerto de Barcelona, España. Uno por uno los prisioneros se presentaron ante él, y a todos les hacía la misma pregunta: —¿Por qué crimen estás aquí? Las respuestas eran distintas, cada uno trataba de justificar su situación. No obstante, finalmente un preso confesó con humildad: —Señor, yo estoy aquí justamente. Deseaba conseguir dinero fácil y lo robé. Merezco mi condena. El duque, famoso por su ingenio cáustico y satírico, quedó tan sorprendido por la honrada admisión de la culpa por parte del hombre, que lo perdonó e inmediatamente ordenó que lo dejaran en libertad. —Eres demasiado malo como para dejarte entre tantos hombres inocentes, —dijo de modo que todos pudieran oír. Es posible que la vergüenza o el orgullo estorben nuestra decisión de confesar nuestros pecados.
