Con la resaca de Eurobike la actualidad no se ha detenido, y mucho menos si tenemos en cuenta que acaba de empezar el Tour de Francia (y sí, lo ha hecho con polémica entre la organizadora -A.S.O.- y la gente de Procyclingstats). Cervélo ha aprovechado para presentar la nueva S5, su bici “aero” y rodadora que ahora es más rápida y ligera gracias a las mejoras realizadas tanto en el cuadro como en el cockpit HB19 que tanto llama la atención. Specialized nos anunció las nuevas Roval Rapide que se presentaron con más perfil en la delantera que en la trasera. Te explicamos por qué lo han hecho así. También presentó el nuevo sillín S-Works Power EVO con tecnología Mirror 3D. Van Rysel, la marca del grupo Decathlon, ha presentado una “gran fondo” muy interesante como es la EDR CF Ultra que, en su montaje tope de gama, incluye el buje con dinamo de DT Swiss para alimentar a las luces de la bicicleta; pero es que, además, el peso de su cuadro es de sólo 830 g. Canyon también ha presentado algunas cosas interesantes estos días, pero lo que más nos ha llamado la atención han sido la nueva Endurace ON:Fly, una e-bike de carretera ¡de menos de 10 kg! Y la nueva Grizl, que también “aterriza” con un manillar, el Full Mounty, que no dejará indiferente a nadie (que, por cierto, también cuenta con un montaje con buje delantero con dinamo y luces). Trek ha presentado la versión en aluminio de la Checkpoint, la gravel más viajera y aventurera de la marca. Y otros que han lanzado una versión en aluminio ha sido BH, que nos ha presentado su iLynx+ SL con cuadro “metálico” y motor Shimano EP6 en los montajes más accesibles para llegar a más público. Mondraker ha tenido su ración de actualidad también con nuevos montajes para la Crafty Carbon de 2026 y la 3ª generación de la Level, su e-bike de enduro más cañera. Por su parte, el grupo SRAM sigue ampliando su cartera de marcas y ha comprado a la marca italiana Ochain, conocida por su sistema que “separa” la biela del plato permitiendo que la transmisión siga girando cuando nosotros dejamos de pedalear. Aunque las novedades han sido escasas por los días festivos, la actualidad no ha parado... y es que el run-run sobre una posible regulación de las prestaciones de los motores de las e-bikes es cada vez mayor. De hecho, ya se han empezado a poner sobre la mesa algunas propuestas que, en este caso, vienen de ZIV, la asociación alemana de marcas de bicicletas (que no sólo incluye marcas de bicis, sino que hay actores importantes como BOSCH o Mahle que está muy presentes ahí). Todo esto viene de la escalada de prestaciones que hemos visto últimamente. Hemos pasado en muy poco tiempo de no darle importancia a los números (en definitiva las e-bikes cortan su asistencia a 25 km/h y tienen la potencia nominal limitada a 250 W) a la carrera por los Nm del par y la potencia pico que hemos visto desde, fundamentalmente, la llegada del DJI Avinox M1. ¿Es necesaria tanta potencia? ¿Cuáles son los miedos de la industria? ¿Quién le pondrá el cascabel al gato? Y sobre todo ¿Regular en este aspecto es poner puertas al campo? Debatimos sobre todas estas preguntas y alguna más. Y para darles respuesta analizamos, previamente, la propuesta de ZIV y de dónde viene; lo hacemos, además, desde la perspectiva de las marcas y el mercado.
