There's a huge variety of Christmas cards for sale, supporting over 40 charities to choose from - on our doorstep. Jo Gray went along to the opening of this year's Cards for Good Causes pop up shop in Petersfield library. We hear from volunteers Lesley & Mike, plus the first of the shoppers. Why not pop in to the pop up shop next time you're in town during library opening hours. One of the friendly volunteers would be delighted to help you. Extra help is welcome, so ask about volunteering too if you'd like to lend a hand in the lead up to Christmas. In this week's episode, Burko is in Dubai, so Brentley calls on Golfweek's Cameron Jourdan and Lance Ringler to fill the void. Top tournaments such as the Williams Cup and Stanford Intercollegiate are broken down at length before the guys re-fire the great rankings debate after news that Mark Broadie has been tasked by the women's committee to add guardrails to runaway winners – or in this case, just Arkansas. D2 and D3 golf gets some play, and the guys discuss the best food in college golf. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. @Chomps the meat snack brand, pulled off one of the smartest pop-up activations of the year. They took over an old gas station in Austin for a back-to-school event: they cleaned out parents' cars, handed out free snacks and branded merch, and turned everyday stress into a shareable experience.Experiential marketing like this works. There is a renewed call for a ban on pop up pools following the drowning of another toddler in a temporary backyard pool. It is at least the second drowning of an under two year old in a temporary pool in just over a year. Water Safety New Zealand wants the sale and use of above-ground cheap temporary pools banned altogether, because people are unware of the rules or don't fence them. Auckland Council licensing and environmental health manager Mervyn Chetty spoke to Lisa Owen.
What if the real magic of your event didn't happen at the event — but in the months before and after it? That's exactly what happened when we built a private pop-up community inside Kajabi for our 200-person event this September, Bloom Together. By launching the community weeks before and keeping it open long after, we turned a one-day experience into a months-long season of connection — leading to a near-perfect show-up rate and stronger attendee engagement. Inside this episode, we're sharing the full playbook behind this pop-up success, including: How we used this private community to market to ticketholders and reaffirm their purchase The 4-channel structure that streamlined communication and built excitement And the post-event strategies that kept the momentum going If you're hosting an event soon, this episode will show you how to extend the magic — and the ROI — of your attendee experience.
